Brian
The Simple Service Reservoir (SSR) from Goodphrphets. The SSR is a CE2 tank mod from GP. It has a 901 fitting, but comes with a 510-901 adapter. It comes with a drip tip, but you can use any 510 drip tip on it. I've been using the GP SSR for 10 days now and this thing has blown me away. I was very happily impressed with the first drag and I'm just as impressed 10 days later. I was skeptical about CE2s and held off for a long time before finally deciding to try one of these. I'm getting great throat hit, vapor and flavor. IMO, it's not far off from a regular Joye 510 atomizer. I ordered two of these, on regular and one XL version. The regular holds about 4ml of juice and the XL about 7ml. Once I got them and realized just how big the XL is, I doubt the XL will ever get used. The 4ml version is perfect for me. They arrived on a Wednesday and I started using it Wednesday night. The first two days were bliss, but on Friday night it started leaking and by Saturday morning the juice would literally just run out within a matter of minutes. There was a slight crack in the bottom part. I switched the bottom out (all the part for the regular and XL are the same except the tube) and kept on vaping. I contacted Rob at GP and he got right back with me. He said they've had about 5 reports of cracked bottoms and immediately offered a replacement part (great service and friendly email). I've been using the 2nd one for a full week now without the slightest trace of a leak. Seems the biggest complaint I've seen with CE2s is wicking issues. I don't see that as an issue. All you have to do is turn your PV sideways for a few seconds. If that's not good enough for you, just tip it upside down and it's just like dripping, only easier. Typically, when it's full it wicks pretty good and tilting it to take a toot is plenty to keep it wet. Once it gets below 1/2 full, you will have to be more conscious of it. Once it gets really low I just tip it upside down for a second. May seem like a lot, but it's easier and faster than direct dripping. Cleaning. Simple. They recommend cleaning it after 3-4 tank refills. I've cleaned mine twice now and you can do it and be vaping again in 10-15 minutes max. Just take it apart and run it under some hot water (tap water). After running water over it, I put the base with the CE2 on an eGo battery and give it a few 5-6 second dry burns. This really works. On the first one or two the coil will just smoke a little. Then it will start to glow on the 3rd or 4th. I also use a toothbrush and just tap the bristles on the coil to knock off any caked on gunk. Remove it from the battery, run some more water over it and you're good. I blow it out, then blot the wick dry with a paper towel, reassemble, fill and vape. I'm surprised at how good the coil and wick look after cleaning. I figured the wick would be burned up, but it's not. This "review" seems a bit scattered and I'm struggling to say just how much I love this thing. I'm so impressed with it that I ordered another one (so I have three of them) and seven boxes of CE2s. I haven't used anything else since I got it and will keep using it as long as it holds up. I don't know how long a CE2 will last, but this one is 7 days old and seems to still be going strong. The only negative for me is that I'm more aware of how much I vape. The 4ml tank last just about one full day, so I'm up to about 4ml per day now. http://shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=208 Edited July 2, 2011 by Brian
Jeffb
Great review Brian. I'm gonna get one to try out. Which ohm did you get?
Brian
Great review Brian. I'm gonna get one to try out. Which ohm did you get? I got the 2.4ohm. It works great at 4.1 or 4.2V. I've cranked it up to 4.9V just to try it out and it works pretty darn good there too, but 4.2 gives really good flavor and TH. I've got some 3.0ohm CE2s also, but haven't used one yet.
