Woodchuck111 Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Hi, Very new to the e-cig and already I have the J118, the XHale O2 and the Ego Advanced. You can probably guess which is my favorite I bought the J118 first and I guess in the process of learning, I've messed the system up a bit. I no longer can get a consistent "puff". I bought a starter kit with 4 J118s. I managed to ruin one atomizer (at least I think so). Had the unit in my pocket and since it is an automatic battery, it got very hot. I have not been able to get the atomizer to work since. On the others, I can get a good hit for a couple of inhales, then it fades out (full battery charge). I then take the cartridge off and the atomizer off the battery and blow a couple of times through the atomizer from the battery end and then it will work strong for a couple of puffs and that's it. I then have to go through the process again. I think what happened is that I must have flooded the atomizers. I know for sure I was topping off the cartridges with too much liquid. Anyway, I would like to get this system back to working properly, but not sure what to do. I did run rubbing alcohol through one and blew it out and let it dry completely, but it still reacts the same way. Would appreciate any help on this. Thanks! Ken

Maybe I'm completely backwards on this. According to the video at the link below, I may have been letting the atomizers get too dry. I've topped off a cartridge right now (pooled at the time like is said in the video) and it seems to be working fine. These e-cigs sure can be confusing
mcquinn Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Not familiar with the J118 but there is a learning curve to all of this stuff.Sounds like you have figured it out though.

I think I do have the liquid problem solved. I was hoping the "dead" cartomizer might be revivable, but I think not. Oh well, not a big cost in that regard. Ken
