E-Liquid Explosion- Spot Of Bad Luck

Recommended Posts

So, interesting story for you guys. While i was walking to my class, I was dripping into my ecig, like normal. What happened next i have no idea. The bottle just exploded, top coming off and spilling liquid all over my big kazoo, hands, and jacket. My first instinct was to run for a bathroom and wash my hands off, and an hour later, im feeling a bit better. I was freaking out, and i had a test to boot. -_-" It was a 30ml bottle of my favorite eliquid which i am sad to say had to go in the garbage. Thew real reason im coming here is with a couple of questions, which are:

Will my device be okay with e liquid permeating it? (i couldn't clean it cuz i was worried about absorbing nicotine into my skin at the time)

And is there any way to prevent something like this from happening again? (the 30ml bottle i had gets hard to squeeze when its running low but i couldn't transfer it over to a small bottle)

And should i be worried about the nicotine that got on my hands? (It was about a quarter of the bottle)

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

first off, about the nicotine that got on your hands... i would not worry, the nicotine can transfer into the skin but with the liquids and such it would have a much slower absorption rate, so doubtful much if any got into your blood stream...

as for the device, im willing to bet it will be just fine after a good wipe down and blowing out of the atty ....

meanwhile, did you know that studies show that people who use nicotine before a test do in fact have better concentration and performance :)

many people keep little travel size bottles with them for taking places, you might want to try it

thanks amused, i gotta invest in some smaller bottles. Haha i was freaked out during my test, but i felt like i did good. The worst part is the liquid.. i wasted like 15mls thats all over the floor of my campus now =(

Wow that blows! So sorry. I think you and your eGo will be fine though. Sounds like the nozzle of the bottle was maybe a little clogeged or maybe you had it up against the atty/carto whatever... also, - try not to squeeze to hard :o

If its a manual battery, it will be fine. What sucks is that you lost so much of your favorite juice. I do find that after a while (several weeks) my juices get thicker. I wonder why that is? I am hoping someone here with experience can answer that question.

Yep, Easy is right about the nic intake before a test. It's like eating a choc. candy bar before a test. Caffeine and nicotine are both stimulants, they help jump-start the brain. Hope you did well on your test despite your juice catastrophe.

I've had that happen before.... so now I make sure and take a needle/syringe and poke down into the tip. Sometimes the holes are just way to small. This helps open it up big enough to use w/o blowing up in your face! Good luck!

I would get a couple really small bottles to take with you when you go out. I don't know if you tried them, but cartomizers are really nice to use when out and about. Eliminates the need to drip every 5-7 draws.

thanks for your comments everyone, ive used cartomizers and dont mind them, but the fact remains that i think the 30 ml bottles were the problem. When they get to the very bottom you have to squeeze them so tightly. As i said ill take these suggestions and do my best to prevent this from happenin lol.
