Ego Theory, Higher Mah = Longer Battery?

Recommended Posts

So, I was doing a bit of research on the eGo, eGo MEGA, eGo-T, and other brands like the "KGO".

I did a little math and found something pretty surprising!

The standard Joye eGo is 112mm and 650mAh, while the eGo MEGA is around 133mm for 900mAh.

There are other brands you can find online that boast 1100mAh batteries, and 1300mAh batteries.

Well, I did a little math. The size of eGo battery itself is around 54mm. That means the "other part" (atomizer/cart/cartomizer/whatever) is around 58mm. And for the eGo MEGA the battery is about 76mm.

Where I am going with all of this? Well, as it turns out, if you take the length of ANY of the Joye batteries, and divide by 12, you get almost EXACTLY the mAh rating. Just take the length of the full cigarette, subtract the non-battery part (58mm), and multiply by 12!

Here are some random brands I found online:

112mm-58mm=54mm * 12 = 648 (aka 650) - Joye eGo

118mm-58mm=60mm * 12 = 720 (aka 700) - random eGo i found online that boasted 680-700mAh of battery life.

133mm-58mm=75mm * 12 = 900 - Joye eGo MEGA

150mm-58mm=96mm * 12 = 1100 - KGO-T (random battery i found online)

It matches up for a LOT of them, although not all (who would have guessed we'd see false advertising for e-cigs!). I was wonder if you guys saw cigarette length correlate in your e-cigs. Do ALL of your longer eGo batteries show consistently better battery life... is the Riva just a tiny bit longer than the normal Joye eGO?

Geek Note: the KGO and KGO-T both have the same 1100mAh of battery life, although one is a half centimeter longer. The KGO is supposed to be around 142-144mm. There is also a 167mm battery that claims 1100mAh. Go figure.

I buy what your selling LOL. Just don't make me do math!

I prefer the Riva myself. I have 3 eGo sets and one Riva set. The finish isn't as nice, but it seem the Riva is just a tad stronger and the button never sticks.

Thanks for doing your number magic for us! :animier:
