turtle11c Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I went out looking at every single pharmacy in my area and most of them didnt even know what pg was. I did however find glycerin usp. Is that the same thing? If not can I still use it to make e-liquid?
Brian Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Glycerin is VG, so yes, you can use it, but it is very thick and will plug up your atty over time.
turtle11c Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 well then i guess i got lucky! It was the last one they had. Is there something I can dilute it with so that it doesnt plug up my atty?
turtle11c Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 um...is 0 nicotine e liquid supposed to be clear? All the e liquid i have seen has some color to it.
Brian Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 well then i guess i got lucky! It was the last one they had. Is there something I can dilute it with so that it doesnt plug up my atty? PG. LOL! Some people use distilled water to dilute VG... about 20% distilled water. I've done that once and it worked okay, but seemed to give me a little foam in my juice.
Brian Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Some eliquids can be clear. PG and VG are pretty clear and I've seen some flavoring that are clear.
turtle11c Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 well i guess now its time to experiment with flavors. i just tried some coconut and holy crap does vg put out a lot of vapor!
Brian Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 well i guess now its time to experiment with flavors. i just tried some coconut and holy crap does vg put out a lot of vapor! VG makes crazy vapor. I went heavy on the VG for a while, but ended up using a mix of 80/20 (PG/VG). Pretty much all I use now. PG tends to give a better throat hit which I need. Using 20% VG increases your vapor and smooths the TH a little. Perfect mix for me.
