I've not had to deal with anything like that as of yet. (been vaping a year now), but have heard that it can happen. I'll just leave a  for you while you wait in here all by your lonesome while someone helpful can come help you.

lol thank you

A friend of mine had the same thing when she started vaping, she switched to a different oompany for juice and they went away, also lots of water, I have read that it is from the juice sitting in your mouth.

Hope you feel better soon.

I have never had that either, but I never had a sore in my mouth in my life EXCEPT when I had braces as a teen. I would DEFINITELY switch to a different company's liquid. I have been vaping almost a year, my husband has too, and neither of us has had any problem, really in any way at all. But I would think it is the liquid, not really the vaping. Just out of curiosity are you buying premixed type e liquid or custom mixed or what? We have had both and not had a problem with either, but I would be more leery of the premixed variety from china, with the flavorings from china, but that is only because they have such a bad track record when it comes to that kind of stuff. On the other hand, if you have gotten juice in your mouth, it could be the nicotine, which would be more of a burn type thing than a genuine cankor sore. OR it could be the level of nicotine too....if changing liquid doesn't have any effect, then I would lower the nic level too. Have you tried Camphophenique? That used to work wonders when I had braces. It is an over the counter cankor sore med. Works on any type of oral wound sort of thing like that. But i would definitely try using liquids etc from a source that you KNOW is custom mixed PER your order when you order it, not premixed stuff. If you are already doing that then I would try another vendor. Of course ONCE you have the sore, it is hard to tell what is causing it.....because they are hard to get rid of. BUT I would rather have a sore than get lung cancer or emphysema, so I would deal with it, BUT try some over the counter cankor sore med....AND try a lower nic...certainly won't hurt anything. The thing is, you would have to know what liquid you were using WHEN you first got the sore, because if you are switching around between all kinds of vendors that doesn't mean ALL of them are causing it....they are hard to get rid of, so you would REALLY need to know what exactly you were doing when it first appeared. THEN by process of elimination figure it all out. I don't know your vaping habits as far as how many liquids you use and all that.

Caker sores are not uncommon with vaping--especially in the beginning.

I have heard some have better luck with VG mixes. The higher the nicotine in the liquid to more likely to develop canker sores.

There are typically caused by getting liquid on you lips or in your mouth--Which unfortunately does happen (more so in the beginning).

anytime you get liquid on your lips or in your mouth--rinse well with water or any handy beverage. I still keep water handy. PG is also very drying to the membranes in your mouth, doesn't help with canker sores.

It does get better !!!!

ok I do use VG mix and 24mg flavoring. I vape a lot!!! It does get on my lips, cause it numbs the lips when it happens..lol..the sore is under my tongue and on the corner of my mouth. darn things hurt bad!! I know if I went to the Doctor he would say, well, stop vaping..lol..I don't want to stop when I enjoy it. I will keep the water near the computer...

Hey Tags,

I use Gentian Violet when I get Canker sores. It's an old time remedy. Just ask for it at you local drug store, it comes in a small bottle. Use a q-tip and put a little on the end, apply to your canker sore. You just have to be very careful not to put too much on the q-tip, a little goes a long way and the purple color has to wear off, so you don't want to get more than you need in your mouth or on anything else.

Good luck.

I will try that....I just found this info in Wikipedia: Smoking Cessation

It is fairly common for smokers to experience multiple mouth ulcers within a week of cessation. The duration varies between individuals, and can range from a month to years. Oral nicotine supplements have shown some reduction in the occurrence

i wonder, perhaps that little sore on my tongue is similar to what you are going through, but mine seems to come and go so im not concerned about it, also... from my past experience with quitting i do remember that swollen and bleeding gums are also quite common with quitting smoking, and yeah, im getting that now

I have been vaping for 8 months now and I am haunted by canker sores and sores on the tongue. I have tried everything to reduce it. I do not use PG...VG only....I stopped the "flavor" because someone said that will cause it. I am still getting sores ! The only common denominator in this is the "Cowboy" juice that I always use whether alone or in combination with a flavor. I use VaporMaxx juice. I need to get to the root of this because 4 sores on the tongue at the same time is brutal.

Also, it is NOT from your body getting rid of toxins. There is just something my mouth does not like. Any suggestions ???

Thanks

I haven't experienced this. Actually, to the contrary I used to get white blisters on my lips when I smoked cigarettes... Always where the cigs touched my lips (usually in the center). A very small percentage of the population experiences a mild allergic reaction to Propylene Glycol. The symptoms of that mild allergic reaction usually includes itching, rash, and irritation. If you are one of those rare people who react to PG then it makes sense that it may cause some mouth sores when you vape:( To test this try using a pure VG Juice just to see... A bit too sweet for my taste but could probably adjust if needed. Good Luck!

I started vaping a month ago and have been a analog smoker for 22 years. I have fully been off analogs for almost three weeks now. But to answer your question two weeks ago I developed sores along the inside of my cheek and in my throat. I couldn't swallow and it was painful as hell. I back tracked on everything I did and started reading everything I could online about side effects from quitting smoking to vaping. When I called the local vape shop which I purchased all my juice from they had no idea what balance of PG vs VG was used *red flag*. I dumped all my juices which I had bought from them and I did a lot of research for trusted online vendors. I wound up ordering some sample packs from pinkspotvapors, as well as halo. Once I started vaping their juices I noticed the difference on my throat immediately. I tried all different ratios and have settled with 60VG 40PG blend being the sweet spot for me. I have not had any recurring irritations since the swap and wish I would have read more before getting into this thing.

I am not promoting any particular vendor over the other. All I am stating is what worked for me. As others have said switch your liquids. Hope it works out for you...

My mom just got a sore in her mouth (first one after a year of vaping) and she thinks it's from the juice she tried. I then politely reminded her she ate spaghetti the night before and it was most likely a allergic reaction to the tomato sauce (oh man it sucks being allergic to so many foods( i inherited that from her)).

I too get canker sores and the only thing I can connect them with is vaping. I have been off cigs entirely since September of 2013 and still get them. I have lowered my nic to 12 and 06 and still have issues so I'm thinking it has to come from the vaping. I will go to 06 completely next time I go to the vape store and see if that makes a difference. I too also have a sinus infection and am taking antibiotics at the moment.

Look up "quit sores"

I've been vaping for a little over 2 months and about 2 weeks ago I started getting sores in my mouth. Like most if you I assumed it was from vaping because that's the only thing that's changed.

It's not, it's from quoting smoking. I smoke Marlboro reds, a pack a day for 17 years and quit over night when I started vaping. When you smoke you mouth builds up a layer of tough skin from all the poisons in the tobacco and when you quit smoking that layer starts to wear down and once it's gone you have a very sensitive mouth and gums, the slightest thing can cause a sore to pop up.

I quit vaping a few days ago to see if that will help but I'm afraid it won't. From all the reading I've done online of others that suffer, it has lasted for years in some people. And the worst part is, everyone that went back to smoking said they went away, so what do you do. Suffer with mouth sores all the time and not eat or drink, or pick up a pack of smokes and start killing yourself all over again.

I hope mine go away because they are miserable.

Go to your dentist and get some medicated mouth wash, Trileptal is the name. I had this problem for a while. and had some left over from Mouth surgery. I'm not saying it is a cure, but after a 2-3 days of using it twice a day, the soreness went away. I would come back and do the same. My dentist knew I vaped and when I told him this he prescribed me more. It took a year of on and off use, but it was longer between each use that the soreness didn't came back. Today I haven't had to use it in over 3 years.
