  1. I think the m401 is the same length as the 510. Just thinner and lighter.
  2. I concur. There's lots of menthol flavors out there and it's hard to find that perfect one. I still haven't found it. But I think that goes with all flavors. Different suppliers carry the same flavors, but they all taste different.
  3. I doubt it either, but I did what I can. I don't have a direct relationship with him, so it's really up to his family to push him now.
  4. Just got Halo 3 ODST. Been playing it since I got off work. =D
  5. Man that's horrible. I'd be pissed too. Why would you do that Sean?!?
  6. Well just wanted to post up a quick update on this topic. So I talked to my coworker about her dad finally. She said her dad went to see his doctor to ask how smoking would affect him and if vaping would be ok. The doctor said that although vaping is the healthier choice, it is still recommended that he just quit everything all together. Nicotine still increases the risk of heart disease so it should just be avoided. So it doesn't look like he's going to be trying vaping, but he did promise his family that he would quit smoking. We'll see I guess.
  7. Yeah the janty stick is hard to find on the dietsmokes site. Click on Janty and you have to scroll down to the bottom somewhere. Here's the link http://www.dietsmokes.com/products/Janty-Stick-V2.html Just a warning if you do buy from him though. The janty stick I got from him was defective and it took about 2 weeks for him to even get back to me about an exchange. Maybe the form on his "warranty and returns" page wasn't working properly. Not sure, but he finally responded to a direct email I sent to him. A replacement should be on it's way. Everyone says he's a great guy and provides excellent customer service, so I'm not talking down on him at all. Just letting you know my experience.
  8. Be like the rest of us and experiment with a new model...muahahahha! Either way, you can't go wrong with the 510. 2 months and mine is still going strong. I have my eyes on the VP1 though...
  9. That's correct. Well, I use the carts as a mouth piece of course. But I pull the filling out with tweezers so the atomizer doesn't burn it.
  10. Don't worry, that doesn't sound stupid at all. I was really frustrated with my 510 when I first got it. The instructions seemed easy enough, but things didn't work the way I wanted it to and I was getting that same burnt taste you're probably getting. There's a couple reasons you can be getting that burnt taste, but the two main ones are 1) the atomizer is burning the cartridge filling or 2) the atomizer is dry. The 510 doesn't work well with cartridges so the best thing to do is "direct drip". This is a technique where you drop 3-4 drops of juice directly onto the atomizer. I would also remove the filling from the cartridges so it doesn't burn. I find that 3-4 drops lasts about the same as 1-2 analog cigarettes. Here's an instructional video that Chris put together for direct dripping http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/index.php?/topic/1398-what-is-direct-dripping/ Hope this helps. If you're still having trouble let us know. Happy vaping!
  11. There's a crap load of reasons why they're banning ecigs. They say it's because the FDA hasn't approved it yet and we don't know how safe it is or whatever. They also say that's it's because e-cigs are easily accessible to children. I don't know. A lot more people on this forum can explain it better than me, but I think it all just comes down to politics, money and greed. That thing with Pay Pal is new actually. Maybe only a few weeks now, so I'm sure their goal is to not let any e-cig suppliers use them. They just haven't gotten to all of them yet.
  12. With e-cigs, there seems to be different reasons why you'd be getting a bad aftertaste. It all depends on how you're vaping. Here's a few that most people come across: 1) New atomizer - usually atomizers have a break-in period and may give you some weird taste in the beginning. Just keep vaping with it and it should go away. 2) If you're using cartridges, it's possible that the cart filling is being burned by the atomizer. I don't know a good fix for this since I don't use cartridges anymore. 3) You've vaped all the juice away and the atomizer is dry. Just refill the cartridge, or if you're dripping...then add more drops.
  13. True. I don't know how their return policy works. Maybe you can ask them to pay for shipping?
  14. Just finished sending the emails to the governor and all the news stations. Let's hope our voices get heard!
  15. What is the proper subject to choose from the dropdown menu for "PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR SUBJECT:" on the http://gov.ca.gov/interact#email website? Does it matter?
  16. Sorry about your experience with them. I bought a joye510 starter kit from them when they were still ruyandirect. Had it for about 2 months now and it's still working like a champ. I did have a small problem with the pcc that I bought not charging the batteries properly so I wrote to them. I got a response within a day or two. One time they responded right away. I wouldn't expect a reply back on the weekends though. I wrote to them on a friday once and didn't get a response back until monday. They offered to send me a replacement, I just had to send the one I had back to them. But I found my own solution to fix the PCC so I wrote back to them saying it wouldn't be necessary. Don't worry, they will reply back. You just have to wait a couple days since they are in China. If they do not reply back you can always email Wayne directly at wayne_zsw@hotmail.com.
  17. I never got to try JC's old vanilla ice cream flavor. With their new formula actually, they changed it to French Vanilla. I don't know what it is about their new formula, but it burns pretty harsh and the vapor production isn't that great. Definitely tastes like vanilla though, but it's not my top choice. Smoking Everywhere's vanilla flavor was really good, but I don't use that kit anymore. Cartridges can get really expensive. I'm actually on my own mission to find the perfect vanilla juice. I will let you know if I find it...if I remember to. lol
  18. Thanks Chris. I'll try using the warranty form again sometime tomorrow...err today? Nice. That's good to know.
  19. Thanks for all the input guys. Wow, that would be awesome if we can get him a free e-cig. It would probably help him agree to try it out. You know how strong headed some people can be, if you tell them to do something chances are they won't do it. That is especially the case with smoking. I remember the more my mom told me to quit, the more I'd want to smoke. More of the reverse effect going on there. Well, I don't know him personally because he's my coworker's dad. We are located in vegas and I'm not even sure if my coworker has tried to get him to switch yet or not. I just know she was doing research on it. I'll talk to her this week and see how he's doing. Pass the information you guys have given. Actually, I'll even send her the link to this thread. I really want to get him living a healthier life.
  20. This story actually upsets me a little. So my coworker's dad had a heart attack the other week and was hospitalized for several days. They performed some type of surgery on him, just not exactly sure what kind. They released him from the hospital earlier this week. My coworker said he's actually recovering pretty quickly and is able to walk now. He was a pack a day smoker, drinker and I don't know what else. Only a few days after the surgery, he starts smoking again!! This really boggles my mind. I'm a smoker (was?) so I know how the addiction goes. I know how bad cravings get...yada yada. But I think if I came close to losing my life that I would know to just quit smoking and not give in to my cravings. I just don't get it. So my coworker knows I've quit smoking and have taken on vaping. I told her the benefits, how it's healthier than analogs, no smoke, doesn't contain the thousands of chemicals, etc etc. This was when I first started vaping, before my coworker's dad's heart attack. So now after seeing her dad smoke regular cigarettes only days after the surgery, she told me she started doing research on electronic cigarettes in hopes to get him vaping. My question is, does anyone know if it's ok for someone to vape after having a heart attack? I know it's a lot healthier than analogs and everything, but just exactly how much healthier is it? Would it worsen his condition rather than help it? I would strongly suggest to just lay off everything, but if he really needs his nicotine fix that badly...then maybe he would be better off vaping?
  21. Thanks...I'm a member over at ECF also but I honestly don't go there really...it's just a bunch of angry people over there. LOL this forum is much more fun with a friendlier atmosphere. But I will definitely post there regarding my JS. It's a pretty expensive piece and I don't think I can just let that slide. Oh...and I did fill out that warranty form. That was my first initial contact anyway. I will be emailing him after the weekend, then I will resort to ECF if I must.
  22. Nice...I need to look into buying one of these.
  23. hahahaha...I'm gonna use that next time.
  24. I was wondering about that. So there's no way the juice can get into the battery compartment side? or to the button somehow. This one time I pulled the atomizer out and the thing had juice all over the side.
  25. Tuesday morning. But I submitted a message through the contact form on his website. I wonder if there's a possibility that it just didn't go through. Would a direct email be better?
