  1. I've ordered a few things from truesmoker. One item I ordered was the dragon passthrough and it was defective when I got it. I emailed JD right away and he was really quick replying back. He offered to send me a new one, I just had to send the defective one back. I decided I didn't want the passthrough anymore, so I asked if I could just exchange it for some juice and he was ok with that. So I guess if he won't give you a refund, you could possibly just ask for replacement parts that equal out to how much the kit is. Extra batteries, atomizers, juice, passthrough? Just throwing out another option for you. Hope everything works out.
  2. Yeah well my first kit was a smoking everywhere, so I got ripped off in the beginning. Then I went crazy buying different models: Joye510, The Dragon from Truesmoker and a Janty Stick. I have a 901 on it's way just cuz I want to try that model out. I also counted my bottles of juice today and I have at least $150 worth of different flavors and brands just sitting there waiting to be vaped. Some might not even get vaped. My problem is I keep buying new flavors before I even get through a bottle. I'm gonna have to work on that. lol
  3. Oh, yes there's a battery inside and you charge it via usb cable. Takes about 4 hours to charge.
  4. A PCC is a Portable Charging Case used to charge batteries while on the go. Probably the most important accessory to have if you have something like the Joye510. It holds 1 atomizer, 2 cartridges, and 1 charging battery. It's small enough to fit in your pocket.
  5. Oh man. I think I might have seen that. Did the guy light each cigarette one at a time and then stick them in his mouth? By the end he had 100 cigarettes all lit in his mouth.
  6. I know I'm excited. Can't wait for it to come out. I'm either getting that and/or their passthrough that they're making.
  7. Yeah don't worry about it. I think a lot of us are in the same boat. These things are supposed to save us money, but I think I spent more money on e-cigs during my first month than I would in a whole year with analogs.
  8. Yeah I don't get it either, but that's what it does to me.
  9. Interesting idea there. If it could be used to deliver caffeine it could help give you an energy boost if you need it.
  10. Welcome to the forum seaspine. This is actually a common problem with the 510. If you're using cartridges, the atomizer tends to burn the filling, so this is probably what's causing that burnt taste. The best thing to do with the 510 is remove the filling from the cartridge and directly drip about 3 drops right on the atomizer. The burnt taste should no longer be there. Here's a video that chris made about direct dripping: http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/index.php?/topic/1398-what-is-direct-dripping/ hope this helps!
  11. That's the thing with the janty stick. I think it's a great product, but I think it's hard to get a good working one. From what I've read, most people have problems with them. My first one was actually defective, but I got a replacement that works great. Not sure about the durability though. I feel like if I drop it once the whole thing will just break apart since it's made of plastic. So I guess your statement is right...I'd recommend it to anyone as well as long they don't mind the hassle of trying to get a working one. lol
  12. I guess it all depends on where you are and how many people know about it. I take mine to the casinos all the time and most people know what it is and just ask me questions about it. How does it work? Where did you get it? How much does it cost? etc...etc... I'm actually pretty careful where I take mine. If I know I'm somewhere where people don't know what it is and can mistake it for drug paraphernalia then I won't take it there. This is probably another reason why most people prefer the ones that look like analogs. So they won't be hassled as much. A lot of people already know about e-cigs, but just don't know enough about it. I think in time as more people get educated, this won't be as big a problem.
  13. Sounds like fun! Now to think of something to say...hmmmm...
  14. Good idea. Thanks jmhester, I'll check that out. Will I lose flaver though if I cut the juice?
  15. Vaping e-cigs is definitely a learning experience. I actually almost just gave up in the beginning from all the problems I was having. But I already spent so much money on different models so I kept at it. I didn't want to waste my money. Through all my research, I eventually found this forum and everyone was so helpful. Starting off is definitely a pain and can be intimidating, but don't give up because in the end it's all worth it. I have been smoke free for well over 2 months and I've never been happier.
  16. Yeah, I usually switch to a new mouth piece every week..sometimes sooner. I either lost track of how long I've been using that one or it just wore out faster. *shrugs* I just didn't realize the difference it made until now. You learn something new every day right?
  17. Awesome. Thanks. I never knew that. I just gave you a plus 1. haha
  18. Hey...how does the reputation score work? And why is keenan's higher than chris'?? hahaha :P
  19. I've actually never timed mine, but the battery that's charging is always good to go when I need to switch batteries. My batteries last longer than an hour when I'm vaping though. Where did you buy your PCC from?
  20. I want to give Kudos to Vapor Talk also. Definitely a great site with great people. One thing I like about this site is that you won't find bitter angry people here like on other forums. Just down to earth and open minded people. I don't know how you do it guys, but I know you work very hard to make this happen.
  21. Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but I figured this is a tip for anyone else having this issue. A couple weeks ago, my Joye510 started producing about half the vapor that it should be. I couldn't figure out if it was battery or atomizer problems. I tried new atomizers on both my batteries and still nothing. My batteries were only about a month old, so I didn't think that was the problem. But then again I thought I could've been wrong because I constantly charge these things. I thought maybe I had overcharged my batteries. I was going to try more things, but my Janty Stick came in and I just dropped the 510 and forgot about it for a couple weeks. For some reason, tonight I decided to give the 510 another shot. I noticed the mouth piece (cartridge) that I had been using was a little lose on the atomizer. So, I switched it out with a new one and...BAM! Clouds of vapor again. So, it wasn't the batteries or the atomizers. It was a worn out mouth piece. I guess over time, constantly removing it and putting it back on wears it in and eventually lets in more air and causes it to not produce so much vapor. I haven't seen this talked about anywhere on the forum so I thought I would share. If it's something that everyone already knows anyway, then sorry for wasting your time reading this post lol. Anyone else come across this?
  22. High nic will knock me out so I use it as my bedtime vape sometimes. My day vape consists of 18mg or 16mg juice. Too bad I have a lot of 24mg bottles in my fridge just sitting there.
  23. Thanks! I can use to clean my glasses too...awesome.
  24. Hey Chris, do you have a link to the Ultra Sonic cleaner you bought? I'm looking into getting one too. I still need to research proper procedures before buying one, but I just haven't had time lately.
  25. I'd say you should look into the VP1 or VP2 from vaprlife.com or possibly the Janty Stick. Right now I have a Janty Stick which I really like. The battery lasts me pretty much all day. If the battery runs out, I can just plug it into my laptop via USB cable and vape it while it's charging.
