  1. You're welcome. Hope you find what you're looking for.
  2. Welcome Keith. Wish I could help answer your question, but I have not tried DIY yet. I'm sure someone else on the forum could be more helpful, but have you checked out our DIY E-Juice Forum? There's quite a bit of information in there, you might find what you're looking for. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/index.php?/forum/131-diy-e-juice-forum-new/
  3. Dude, all kinds lol. I think in that photo I was vapin VT juice. good stuff.
  4. Interesting. I've never heard of the Vapture. I even tried doing a quick google on it and it's not coming up anywhere. If it doesn't come up right away then that's all the effort I really want to do on researching it lol. $125 sure sounds like a ripoff and I doubt that it would perform any better than a smoking everywhere kit. I suggest just sitting tight and waiting for your 510 to come in. It's definitely the best model you can start off with. You won't regret it. Oh...and welcome to the forum!
  5. Yep, I think I knew that. I add stuff to my watch topics list, but I don't set it to email notify me because I'm sure it would overload my email box. LOL plus I was busy for a week and that's why I missed a lot on the forum. Thanks for the heads up though. Glad you don't consider me a fool! hahahaha
  6. That phrase sounds awfully familiar. :P
  7. Hi n00b! You think maybe the button got stuck?
  8. You ain't foolin me sinikal. I'm not falling for your mind tricks. yes sinikal is an IMPOSTER! lol
  9. Yeah too long means more than 5 minutes. I'd say maybe 20 minutes or more?
  10. Yeah I've noticed this too, it might possibly be like you said with the atty getting a chance to soak. I also noticed that if you leave too long, it just gets harsh.
  11. The crackling is normal. I see it as a sign that the atty is working. I actually like hearing it cuz usually it means I'm going to get a good drag.
  12. Interesting find. I've never taken a flu shot and I've never had the flu, least not that I can remember. Well, maybe once when I was younger but can't remember. With the swine flu vaccine being so new, anyone that's taken it right now is pretty much a guinea pig. We don't really know what all the side effects are. I've already decided I'm not getting a flu shot even though my benefits at work cover it for free. Good to know that e-cigarettes "might" be more effective than the swine flu vaccine. Some people say if you believe something, then it's true.
  13. I use a 510 as my main PV and I put 3 drops on the atty and it's fine, doesn't flood as long as I'm vaping it. I'll put 4 if I'm feeling adventurous. But I think I can do this because I take pretty long drags. I had a few older attys I got from a chinese supplier that actually lasted a lot longer than 5-6 drags and I have no idea why. Now I have a batch of 5 attys from a US supplier. I think 2 of them were crap and I thought the whole batch was bad. But just last night I tried one that I haven't used and it's working great. Only thing is now it's only lasting 5-6 drags like everyone talks about. So I guess what I'm saying is you never know with attys, you'll get some good ones some bad ones. So if you have any other attys on hand I would try those out and see if you get the same results. The 510 really is a great model and produces large amounts of vapor. You just have to figure out how to make it work. Hope this helps. Edit: I forgot to add that it might possibly be a bad atty if it leaks out the side. As for the juice getting in your mouth, you might be dragging too hard. The key is slow long drags to produce more vapor. You can try cleaning the threads on the atty and the battery also. Making sure you have a clean connection usually helps.
  14. aaah! That makes sense now. Vacker = Valerie Hacker?? just a thought hehe
  15. I say buy a Personal Charging Case. That way you won't really be at a loss. You have a case to carry around your stuff, and it charges the battery. Only downside would be that it takes a little longer to charge the battery. Or you can get the VP1-510. It's the VP1 unit but with a 510 fitting http://www.vaprlife.com/vp1510.html Or you can wait for the black Spade-510 to come out http://www.vaprlife.com/spade510.html Or you can get the VP Pass Thru with a 510 adapter http://www.vaprlife.com/vpupath.html or...or...or...yeah I think that's good. Hope this helps.
  16. hahaha...think you got 801 and 901 mixed up. An 801 is a penstyle and a 901 is a mini style. Right?
  17. Yup yup. Like everyone said, menthol really overpowers the other flavors. Best thing to do is to have a dedicated atty just for menthol flavors. Or you could just vape it out, but it takes awhile.
  18. Hey mrx, you're right about the bands just being cosmetic. My 510 have thin bands, but I've seen others with with thick bands. Shouldn't change the performance of it. I do have a couple of new attys that are probably doing about the same thing as yours are. Producing vapor, but not much with little throat hit. I figure they're just new and just need to be broken in, but I haven't gotten around to it yet since I have a few good ones still. I should probably try breaking one of them in tonight.
  19. I have no plans to quit smoking either. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. At least it's healthier.
