  1. Hey everybody, I've been vaping for about 2 years or so and pretty much have just used the same system the whole time. I bought a Riva 510 when I started and upgraded to the ego Twist when that came out. I've been using that with both joye LR atomizers and standard atomizers. My problem is that after trying many different brands of atomizers I have found that there is little to no consistency from one to another, regardless of the brand. As one starts to die I'll replace it with another and its replacement will either burn too hot, or (more often than not) seem to barely work and not provide a decent throat hit regardless of what setting I have my Twist at. This is incredibly frustrating and I'm about to lose my mind. I like using atomizers because they allow me to be able to switch flavors very easily and are low maintenance. I've tried cartomizers in the past and really don't care for them. However, at this point I'm willing to do anything that will allow for the best vaping experience, in particular provide a consistently strong throat hit. Any suggestions for an alternative to what I'm doing now would be appreciated. Thanks for the help!
  2. Thanks for the input. I stopped by the "local" vape shop (about 1/2 hour away) and bought a LR atty today to try and I'm impressed with the results. I was considering buying the twist before I went there but they haven't started stocking them yet, guess I'll have to order online. I also bought an ego c battery because my Rivas are losing power and I figure having an extra battery couldn't hurt. I like the on/off feature on the battery and how the LED changes to blue when it needs a charge. These things have come a long way in the last year! I haven't been in the market for a while but now that I'm looking I'm very impressed with all the advancements.
  3. Thanks for the responses. How would you suggest I alter my setup? I am currently using a Riva 650mah battery with Joye 2.3ohm atomizers. I mostly drip watermelon/apple/kiwi flavors and I've heard that the LR atomizers aren't good with the fruity flavors. The problem with this is that to get a good hit it takes a longer drag... Thanks.
  4. Hey, just curious if the Joye ego 650mah batteries have a cut off feature if the button is held down too long. I have some Riva batteries that I've been using that do not have this feature but when I ordered new ones they now have a cut off that gets really annoying. Can someone let me know if the Joye batteries have a kill function? Thanks!
  5. Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I contacted the company and switched them out for some firefly 510 attys, so far they are working pretty well. I'll pick up some Joye 510's in my next order.
  6. Hi, I recently switched from using cartomizers to atomizers and I've been buying the EM Riva 510 atomizers to use with my Riva 510 but it seems that only 1 in 3 actually work as intended. When using the defective atomizers it feels like taking a drag with a dead battery and they're pretty much useless. I'm wondering if consistency is a common problem with atomizers, or if it's just this brand, or if I just got a bad batch. Any information or recommendations would be great. Thanks
  7. Hey y'all! Not much going on, just wanted to say that my last analog was on June 18! It took me a month of mixing smoking and vaping until I completely made the switch. The hardest times were when I was at the bar, but one night I was drinking and the thought of an analog didn't even cross my mind, it was awesome! I think the coffee flavors from the VT store have played a huge role in my success. I feel better and I don't stink all the time which is win-win. My girlfriend has been nothing but supportive and is very happy for me as well. Just want to say thanks to all of you on the forum that have given advice and helped to improve my life.
  8. @Jon- Totally agree, but $4-6 for shipping when you only want to try only one or two flavors from a site makes for an expensive sample! I wouldn't mind paying that once I found something I really liked, but trying different companies and flavors is getting expensive! Thanks everybody for the help! I'll definitely check out all of these options.
  9. Does anybody know a good site to get juice from that has free or cheap shipping costs? I haven't found my flavor yet and I just want to order samples until I find what I like. I'm hitting my head against the wall right now because shipping at all the places I've looked is almost equal to the cost of the sample bottle of juice! Let me know if you have any insight, thanks.
  10. I've been vaping for about 2 weeks now and it's going pretty well. I haven't completely given up my analogs yet but I'm trying. I've only smoked about a pack over the past 2 weeks so it's a major victory as far as I'm concerned. I don't chain vape but when I feel like I need a cigarette I'll just have a few puffs and go about my business. The hardest times are after meals but a few extra puffs from my riva and the craving subsides. Even still, an analog at the end of the night is hard to pass up and I usually find myself giving into my temptation. I'm fine with this for now as I still see the drastic cut back in smoking as a huge step in the right direction. The problem I'm having is at social events when everyone is drinking. I bring my pv along with me with good intentions but once I get a few drinks in me the cravings for analogs skyrocket and no amount of vapor will get my mind off of an analog. I'm just wondering what some of you have done to get past this difficult transition period. I wish I could just lock myself in my room to avoid the social aspect of smoking but I'm a social person and like to go out and am around smokers and alcohol pretty regularly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
