  1. kitsune, have you measured voltage of the 5V passthrough when plugged into the 2A USB Wall Adapter? I have a 5V Passthrough and my 2A USB Wall Adapter came in the mail but my volt meter doesn't work with my 5V Passthrough so I can't verify.
  2. Wait, how are you hooking up your passthrough? 5V Pass-through plugged into the computer is only putting out like 4.0 or 4.2V max.
  3. LOL, Sharon you gotta show us a picture if you get a chance. kitsune, I gotta try that. I thought trying my LR Ego-T Atty would just fry the atty in a heartbeat. You must be exhaling fire!
  4. Hi, Has anybody tried hooking up an Ego-T Atomizer with Tank to a 5V or 6V device? I was doing it yesterday on my Kazoo and the flavor was crazy and I noticed more vapor, too. Was noticeably stronger than just using an LR Ego-T Atomizer. Obviously, it looks ridiculous on my Kazoo because of the connection, but maybe it would look more normal on a sleek rounded mod. I guess it could be used at 6V also, but I don't know how the Atomizer would handle 6V. Heck, I don't even know how the Atomizer handles 5V in terms of longevity, I just know that it works and that it vapes really well. Thanks, Emile
  5. No no, I get it, I'm just curious why the OP doesn't like LR 510 atomizers. So far I've gotten awesome vapor production and smoother, more consistent hits on LR 510. Don't get me wrong, 5V with a 510 Atomizer can do a great job, but I feel like it's walking a fine line. If I run lean, the pulls are harsh and too throaty, if I run rich, the atomizer may flood. If I don't drag just right, then I get harshness and poor vapor. LR 510 at 3.7V performs like a rock star all the time. But I have to be using the right LR 510, because they are NOT created equal and the bad ones are only worthy of my trash can.
  6. Yeah, thanks Erika, I had to do at least 50 drops. I had to fill the condom with 15-20 drops and do that procedure 3 to 4 times until it finally filled up. The Dual Coil Carto vapes really well but it was very cool and smooth. Using my Big Kazoo (5V) really warms up the flavor and the taste on the inhale. I'm not sure if it's the juice I used, but I get almost no taste on the inhale at 3.7V but lots of vapor, flavor, and some throat hit on the exhale. Considering how many drips I filled this puppy up with, the Dual Coil Carto seems like a very practical solution for when I'm out and about. Lots of vapor on the exhale, almost as good as dripping with a LR 510 atomizer.
  7. We should setup a poll to see how many people were vaping while typing up their response to this thread. Now THAT would be interesting. Guilty boy, here.
  8. Hi Erika, I got some LR Yetis from Altsmoke, some LR 510's from NHaler, and some Boge Standard 510's from Electronic Stix. I just got home about half an hour ago and both the LR Yeti and the LR NHaler are vaping like garbage still. I will give them more time to settle out until then. I just filled up a Boge Standard Carto from Electronic Stix (same juice) using the condom fill method from the beginning and it's vaping fine! I may have to try a new LR Carto using the condom fill method from the beginning as well. My Dual Coil Cartos came in the mail today. How many drops do these guys take? They are noticeably longer than regular cartomizers.
  9. 18mg is obviously not cutting it for her. She shouldn't feel the need to vape every couple of minutes. When I first started vaping, I was under the impression that a medium strength (like 16mg) e-liquid was plenty for someone like myself who was a half-pack to a pack a day smoker, but I noticed I was just vaping all damn day long. So now I vape 24mg juices and I am back on the same schedule I used to have when I was smoking analogs which is a 5-minute vape every 1 to 2 hours. I highly recommend you get the girl to step up to a big battery and a 510 atomizer, and that she limit herself to NOT vaping indoors, or at least to not vape in certain places indoors. Otherwise, she is just going to keep vaping all day long, regardless of E-Liquid strength.
  10. Thanks for the responses so far. I tried the Cartomizers again this evening and same issue of harsh taste and no vapor, so I just added 15 drops to each Cartomizer via the condom-fill method. This caused both of them to fill up with liquid like crazy !! I am going to let them settle for half an hour and see if there is any change in the way they vape. I really have to get these to work because I have a pack of Dual Coil 1.5 ohm Cartomizers on the way. I've gotten used to using a Cartomizer at work, it has been extremely practical, flavorful, and seemingly cost-effective if I can just get these damn new ones to work !!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Thanks, Beans. I have tried the condom method before and I have no problem with it, I just dunno why I didn't do it this time with the new Cartos. So you think I should add even more juice? I thought I had added too much juice, and I even kept adding more and more and trying to vape and vape. I'll try them out again today and see how they vape. I figure they just need to settle for 24 hours or so.
  12. Hello Friends, I have been rocking a LR carto for the past few weeks at work and it has been great. So I ordered some more from a few different vendors but I am having trouble getting them going. I pulled one out, removed the cap and dripped about 15 drops and tried to get it going, but it was tasting very harsh and producing barely any vapor. So I pulled another one out from the 5-pack of the other vendor, dripped about 15 drops after removing the cap, and same exact thing. I tried putting a drop into the center channel in both Cartomizers just to get it going but it still didn't help. I tried firing them both for several 10-second or 15-second cycles to maybe clear any excess out but that doesn't seem to be helping. Both Cartomizers are firing for sure, but it is tasting very harsh and burnt and I am not exhaling much vapor. Any advice for what I should do? I have tried removing the cap and blowing out to remove any excess that may be in the channel and a lot of liquid came out but still not vaping the way it should. Thanks, Emile
  13. Okay, I ordered one Bauway and one SLB as per the recommendations from you two guys. I also plan on ordering an Authentic Joye to try out as well. Based on the limited responses, it seems I am going to have to play the guinea pig to see which 510 Atomizer(s) is/are the best.
  14. At least half of my collection of juices are from High Caliber. I can easily recommend the Cinn-A-Bun, the Apple Pie, and the Pop Corn. The Cinnabun is absolutely delicious. The Apple Pie does not taste like apple pie to me, but it is sweet, smooth, and enjoyable so I can easily recommend that one. The Pop Corn flavor is absolutely dead on to real pop corn, just keep in mind it's NOT buttered pop corn, so you have to like just plain pop corn if you are going to enjoy it. Blueberry Frost is mostly menthol with a hint of sweetness to it. Blue Ice is like an Arctic Menthol and the flavor just explodes at 5V. Menthol fans may love the Blue Ice. Still have to try a few more flavors that are just sitting on the shelf for now.
  15. Gross, not in the fridge! Maybe a wine cooler, at most, but room temperature is best (preferably in a box or some kind of storage container).
  16. Thanks for the responses guys. I have a few 510's that are rated at 2.3ohm's and half a dozen of the Electron 510 Atomizers (from ElectronicStix). I am mainly using the Electron 510 Atties because the 2.3ohm ones are so harsh. So should I go with the SLB Atties?? And what about Bauway 510's? They any good, or are SLB better?
  17. Hi, I like 5V Vaping, but I'm not sure I have the best atomizers for quality 5V Vaping. Basically, I get smoother, better tasting hits from a quality 510 Low Resistance Atomizer with Ego 650+ battery. The regular 510 Atomizers I have tried with my Big Kazoo 5V, so far either get roasted and die after 1 second, or hit too harsh and don't give me enough vapor. I love the thick, rich vapor that my LR 510 Atomizers give me, and I know not all LR 510's are creaed equal but I have found my preference . Any recommendations of a particular vendor and/or brand of 510 Atomizer that can give me smooth hits and the clouds of vapor I am looking for at 5 volts? Thanks, Emile
  18. Is there any scientific evidence that second-hand vapor is harmful or not harmful? Do we even have any reliable scientific evidence on first-hand vaping? I think until we get the facts, we should respect other people's right to not have to inhale or be around our residual vapor.
  19. I am not sure if 5V or higher is necessarily a nice experience. Having had my Big Kazoo for a few weeks now and trying multiple 510 atomizers, it was annoying to realize that I still have to inhale for so long for a proper hit. I have a more pleasant vaping experience with a quality 510 LR Atomizer. I like the shorter draws and the slightly cooler vapor. I know people like to go after throat hit, but I absolutely cannot stand that. I used to smoke Marlboro Lights and they were smooth as butter so I don't want to stray from that smooth, warm feeling I get from those cigarettes. Just explaining where my opinion comes from. Beans, congrats on the new mod. Keep us posted on how you like the Inifinity Kit.
  20. Thanks for the posts, guys. Fortunately, last Thursday I freshly charged two batteries and dropped one straight into the Jambox and I got 3.5 hours of solid vaping on an LR510 atomizer. I was doing heavy vaping during these 3.5 hours as well. I put the one battery back on the charger just because I was done for the night, but it was still going strong. I must have drained the batteries while trying to clear out the cleaned 510 atomizer on the Big Kazoo!
  21. Don't have one, but so tempted to buy one because it looks so cool. How is 901 Atomizer compared to 510 Atomizer? Specifically LR 901 vs LR 510? I was about to purchase a Screwdriver Kit, but then Joye Stick V3 Starter Kit went on promotional price for $30 and I couldn't pass that up.
  22. Tekk Mod seems a bit pricey considering you cannot replace the batteries once they go bad, unless there is a way I am not aware of. Go with a Big Kazoo or the other box mod recommended here, but make sure to buy extra batteries if you want to take it with you when you are out and about.
  23. Hi Guys, I've been doing a lot of research on batteries since I got my Big Kazoo and Jam Box. It seems that mah ratings are not always correct or may be exaggarated or whatever. For example, at home I usually vape an LR 510 Atty with my Ego 650mah battery and I can go quite a while before I have to recharge. But yesterday I dropped in two 14500 900mah freshly-charged batteries in my Big Kazoo and used it for a few minutes to get a freshly-cleaned 510 regular atomizer going (clearing out excess water, etc.), then I took one battery out and popped it in the Jam Box, attached a LR 510 Atty and started vaping as per usual. What I did not consider very much vaping time caused the battery to drain very quickly. Approximately 3 vaping sessions over the period of an hour and a half of real life, the battery was completely dead. Popped in the second battery that was in the Big Kazoo and everything was fine again but I did not wait until the second battery ran out. I could swear that I get better battery life out of an Ego 650mah battery. I can come home from work, vape a freshly-charged 650mah Ego battery with an LR 510 Atomizer, switch to an Ego-T Tank Atomizer (LR or standard), keep vaping the same battery and then set it to charge 4 or 5 hours later. Even at that point, it's still producing beautiful vapor and feels like it will still go for a few more hours easily. Why would I have such shorter battery life out of a Trustfire 14500 900mah battery? Is it because I ran them in the Big Kazoo first for a few minutes? I was told the Big Kazoo can last 8-12 hours of real life, depending on how much I vape, before I need to swap batteries or recharge so I figured a few minutes of use before putting one battery in the Jambox with an LR 510 Atty wouldn't really matter. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to be as clear as possible. Thanks, Emile
  24. Agreed, they are awesome. I purchased one from Erika to try and I loved it so much, I purchased 3 more from her and I am eagerly awaiting them in the mail. Fortunately, I received my order for a couple of the new wide-mouth Magnum Drip Tips from Jersey Vapes and the wide-mouth design is awesomeness. Super easy to drip and the draw is incredible, a lot closer to a real cigarette. Erika, see if you can come up with a wide-mouth version of your drip tips, that would be so dope.
