Nice one, Mike. The funny thing is, the 510 Atomizer (Standard) on their site will vary from color to color. Some colors have the gold band (such as Black), and some colors will NOT have the gold band (such as Stainless). Gold band vapes differently.

I've been vaping these 510 SR atomizers that are my favorite from NHaler, they have the gold band and they are freaking fantastic but they run out of stock quickly. Anybody know the brand they use?

Hi Guys, I haven't posted in a while, but I need to know who sells the best standard resistance 510 atomizers for dripping with a variable voltage device. I am looking for a light and airy drag with clouds of vapor. Any recommendations on vendors who offer this? Thanks, Emile

Hey guys. The 14505's in my TTT VMU definitely last noticeably longer than the Trustfire 14500's. For me, it's not a life-saver since I only drip and use my VMU at home but there is definitely a significant difference until the batteries hit 3.5V and I have to put them on the charger. I have not been able to see how they do individually vs the 14500's and how they handle loads such as in my Alpha with a LR atomizer. I will use a volt indicator and let you guys know how it compares to Trustfires and AW High Drains.

Okay, so the pair that I ordered finally came yesterday. Shipping got delayed I guess because of the hurricane we had last week-end but they are here anyways. I will finish charging them today and I am going to play around with them in my TTT VMU mod and see how battery life compares to my other 14500 batteries. These 14505's are the exact same size as my Trustfire 14500 900mah batteries and they feel a bit lighter in my hands, similar to the weight of an AW High Drain 14500. I will post up some pictures when I get home, but I don't think they are protected as there is no indication of that.

Variable voltage is the key. You can buy a 5V box mod and use 510 standard resistance (3 ohms) atomizers which makes for a great vape. But I have purchased 510 SR atomizers that are as low as 2.2 ohms and that is just way too much heat for a 5V box mod. In fact, most 2.2ohm atomizers will just burn out instantly at 5 volts. No two atomizers are the same so I may go from a 510 SR atty that is 3.0 ohms on to a 510 SR atty that is 2.5 ohms. With variable voltage, I can adjust the voltage so that my preferred wattage output remains the same. These days I am puffing away on a 510 LR atomizer at 4.0 volts which feels similar to a 510 SR atomizer (3ohm) at 5.0 volts. You can just get an Ego battery and slap an LR 510 atomizer onto it and it will vape a whole lot better than a SR 510 atomizer, but Ego batteries don't handle the load of LR atomizers so well and don't really deliver more than 3.3 or 3.4 volts.

Super Ego Detonator... With Hookah Hose Attachment? Sweet Lol
Emile replied to rcummings5886's topic in Modders Forum
Lol, dude that is a great setup. Very clever. -
Single use cells typically boast higher mah ratings than rechargeable cells. I am not convinced that the 14505 rechargeables are truly 1200mah (particularly for our high-drain application of e-cigarettes), but I am curious and optimistic.

Well I don't want to violate any forum rules, so I'm just going to give a link to the eBay search results: http://shop.ebay.com...-All-Categories You can see that the pricing is quite reasonable but there seems to only be one vendor located in Hong Kong.
-
Hey DayVape, how are you my friend? The battery you linked me to is a 3.2V 14505. The 3.7V 14505 is 1200mah. If the battery is in fact 0.5mm longer than a standard 14500 battery, I don't see why it wouldn't fit in any of my existing 14500 mods. Anyways, I ordered a pair off of eBay so I guess I'll see what happens when they get here. I am not even sure if they are protected batteries, though.
-
Anybody ever heard of these 14505 batteries? They are the same dimensions as 14500 batteries, but offer 1200mah of energy versus a standard 14500's 900mah. I just ordered a pair to try for myself. Anybody else heard of these? Tried them out yet?

Nice review, bastardo. I may want to give these a try anyways.

Very cool. You can vape a dual coil carto at 6 volts??

Hi Guys, When I am home, most of the time I am using my Totally Twisted VMU which runs on two 14500 batteries. When I flip the switch on the inside, the voltage indicator reads out the voltage of the batteries. So when I have two freshly-charged batteries in there, the unit reads 8.4 volts (4.2 + 4.2) and as I use the unit, the max voltage slowly drops in 0.1 increments. I have a battery voltage chart which says that 3.5V = 0% battery life. When the max voltage gets to 7.0 (3.5 + 3.5), I take out the batteries and put them on the charger. But since I vape at around 4.8V, I was wondering if I can just keep using the batteries until max voltage reads 6.0V? I don't want to over-drain the batteries, but I thought that 3.7V LiOn batteries are fully discharged at 2.8V, not 3.5V. Somebody please explain this to me. :-( Thanks, Emile

I was just at the Jackon, NJ Six Flags with my two brothers and my cousin in July. We did the VIP Tour as we do once every year. Out of courtesy, I went to have a vape over in one of the squared-off smoking areas but our Tour Guide saw my Ego-T, asked me if that was an E-Cig, and he absolutely insisted that I don't bother with the blue squared-off areas. He said not to worry and to just be comfortable and use the E-cig as we walked from one ride to the next. Very cool.

Love the throat hit of LR Cartos when I'm at work. Love the smoothness of Dripping at high voltage (or LR) when I'm at home.

A Pbusardo Review - The Italian Festival With Freedom Smoke Usa

Thank you for that review, that was pretty hilarious! -
SmokeTech Dual Coil Cartos at 4.2 volts, Boge LR Cartos at 4.0 volts, dripping with a standard resistance atomizer (2.6 - 3.0 ohms) at 4.7 volts.

When I first started vaping several months ago, I noticed that if I got some E-liquid on my finger(s) it would dry up those areas. Now if I'm refilling a cartomizer or my Ego-T, I am always sure to have a wet paper towel and a dry paper towel, so that any excesss (whether on me or on the table or on any of the E-cigarette) is wiped off cleanly. I clean with the damp paper towel first, then follow up with the dry paper towel. Any amount of E-liquid in or on my mouth is completely unacceptable to me, but this is simply the "bar" that I have set for myself and has no bearing on what is actually safe or unsafe. I take proper measures to prevent E-liquid from getting near me.

By the end of the night, I do not taste any of the flavors very much.

Hi Guys, Who has updated thoughts and opinions on triple coil cartomizers? I am not crazy about them which is weird since I love my dual coil cartos. I'm finding the vapor production to not be so impressive at any voltage, and at the recommended 5V or 6V, the cartomizer gets really hot and burns my lips without the impressive vapor production of a dual coil cartomizer. I see they have clear triple coil cartos now which may be nicer to my lips than the stainless steel ones I have, but I am hesitant to spend the $$$ and waste the E-liquid on any more triple coils. Anyone else? Thanks, Emile

There is a 24K Carrot Gold ProVari out now! But it's $300!
-
ProVape is coming out with an 18650 battery soon for the ProVari that is rated at 2600mah and fits fine with the 18650 end cap.
-
Damnit, the entire internet is out of stock of AW 18490 batteries. Looks like I'll have to wait to get a backup 18490.

In this case, it doesn't matter if the battery is connected or not. If you are not going to use a certain E cig for a day or more, then obviously it's best to disconnect the battery from the atomizer. But there is no "ghosting" going on with E cigs, they are either on or they are off. Obviously the battery itself isn't going to hold a 100% charge forever (as with any battery), but it's just not an issue if you have a last vape before bed and leave your PV on your desk so you can use it the next morning for example.
