Morfeeus got a reaction from lazymorulz in Joye Ego Tank
I have had my eGo tank for a few weeks now and have encountered a few problems but have also learned how to work around these problems to make using this tank system a little less aggrevating. I have read on here how some others have found the system a little lacking and I'm hoping that some of my tricks/suggestions may improve their results with the tank. So, I hope this helps
Leaking Issues:
-When attaching your tank atty to the battery, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. I've noticed that the tighter I attach the atty, the more often my atty leaks. So, basically, when I attach my atty to the battery, I will screw it on until you feel it catch. At that point, I give it just the minor twist and that's it.
-When you start noticing the "draw" becoming more and more like sucking a thick milkshake thru a straw, it's time to blow out the atty. This is a sign the atty is getting flooded and soon, it will start leaking out of the holes near where the atty attaches to the battery. By sucking on the cart when the "draw" gets harder, you are just pulling more and more juice into the atty and leaking is not far away. Personally, I blow from the top where the cart plugs in.
Dry Hits:
-When you have a dry atty either from it being new or having just blown it out, you will want to give a few good hard draws before activating the battery to actually vape. This will pull liquid into the wicking system.
-DO NOT FILL TANKS TOTALLY FULL. I'm not sure why, but a completely filled tank will not drip juice properly and you will get dry hits. I think you need that little air bubble to help force the fluid into the wicking system. I usually will fill mine leaving an area about the thickness of two dimes empty. This seems to help with eliminating dry hits.
I also have noticed that sometime you get a "plastic" taste in the juice. I have found out that I notice this mostly with tanks that have been pre-filled and have sat in the tank for longer than a day. So, I try to only fill what I think I will use that day. If I do end up filling a tank and not vaping it by the end of the day, I will pour the liquid back in the bottle instead of storing it in the tank for the next days use.
Well, I hope some of this will help those enjoy their eGo tank system more with less problems. The tank system is far from perfect, but it does the job when it is inconvenient to DD. I'm sure some if not all of my "tricks" are not new to some but I did want to share my experiences with VT in the hopes that I may be able to help some fellow vapors enjoy their tanks system more and possibly eliminate any problems that I have read that some are encountering.

Morfeeus reacted to JonHitThingWithRock in Menthol Question
to be honest, you're gonna have a hell of a time finding something that tastes exactly like any one particular premade cigarette. i'd say try a bunch of different vendors, and see what she likes best, but don't shy away from other flavors.
I bought a couple sampler packs, which contained menthol, and i'm not into menthol, so if you're interested in trying different ones, i've got like 6 bottles you can have. let me know

Morfeeus got a reaction from Erika in Smoketech Dual Coil Cartomizers(First Impression)
I just got in 10 of the Smoketech Dual Coil Cartomizers. These are the first cartos I've ever tried mostly because I've been pretty happy with either direct dripping, MAP tanks, or the eGo-T LR and am just tired of trying new stuff. Well, I'm so glad I decided to give these a try. They are AMAZING!! Amazing enough that I packed up my 3 MAP tanks and my 8 LR eGo-T atties and put them away! These hold about 60-70 drops of liquid on first fill before they will start to leak out the bottom. You can just drip from the top but that just took to long for me. I personally use an 18gauge needle which is so much quicker.
OK, now for the review. Flavor is amazing with these. I loaded one up and loaded up an atty by direct dripping to go head to head with. The flavor is just as good with these as with dripping. I couldn't tell any difference. There actually was one flavor of juice I used that tasted even better in the carto than with dripping which I just can't explain. Vapor production was also very good. You will be blowing clouds of vapor with these. Last but not least, the TH on these are very good also. I noticed about the same TH as with dripping and a lil better TH on these than the eGo-T's.
Overall, I have found my vaping nirvana and will use these as my exclusive vaping method(propbably until the next latest and greatest thing comes along...lol.) If you've never used a carto, give these a try. They are worth it. I personally have never used BOGE cartos but have heard good things about them. Even die hard BOGE fans are raving about these new Smoketech Dualies over on ECF.
PS. I tested these on both the eGo 650mah and 1000mah batts using 24mg nic 70/30 PG/VG juice.

They almost have the site ready to re-launch. I would say that it will be up tommorrow or monday at the latest. boB just wants to make sure its runnin correct before he puts it back online. I just got 4 new flavors from them today and all I can say is WOW. They are great! I got Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Warm Sugar Cookie, Vape Placid(menthol tobacco which tastes just like a Newport to me) and a "bait a"(beta) sample of Joosy Froot. I will be doing a review on them in a couple days when I get in more vape time on them.

Morfeeus reacted to ancientpuffer in First Time With E-Cigs
They don't always show it, but your atomizers should come with a "blank" (no filler) tip in them. You can use that and if you decide you like dripping, you can purchase a "drip tip" that lets you drip into it without having to remove the "blank" tip every time you want to add drops of juice. HTH

Maybe why there is more info on analogs than vaping is that people have been smoking for thousands of years(I looked it up on wikipedia. 5000-3000BC). Vaping is still in it's infancy. The barrage of clinical tests are just beginning now that it has become more popular. Nicotine on it's own is not that bad for you health wise in moderation. It's the other 4000+ chemicals that are in analogs and not vaping that should concern you most. Nicotine on it's own is about as dangerous as caffine. Granted, If you comsume it in mass quantities, it could be very dangerous just as if you consume caffine in mass quantities. A couple cups of coffee and you are fine. Drink a few pots though and you will find your heart ready to jump out of your chest. I wish I could tell you exactly how much nicotine is absorbed by vaping, but I'm not a scientist and don't have the info to pass on. All we as vapers can do is give you some suggestions on where you should start depending on our own experiences. I smoked 1.5 to 2 packs a day of camel light 99's. I now vape between 5-7ml's a day of 24mg nic level juice. I have never gotten nic sick.

Morfeeus reacted to junk in You Sent Me Corroded Junk
I can't believe a customer has to register at a forum before they can get help in returning the product.
I received the product today and it's all corroded!!!
I don't see anything on the store site that relays how to return the product, no print out return slip, nothing but to register here.
I won't be buying again and I do expect a full refund. Perhaps I should call my credit card company to deny the charge.
Absolutely horrible site, horrible product, horrible service.

Morfeeus reacted to Sharon in Joye Ego Tank
Amaranth, I have found that the tank atty does need some regular maintenance. First let me ask you about the juice you are using in the atty. Is your juice thin or is it thick? The thin e-liquid is what you need to be using. I know that you mentioned that your juices starts off clear but then turns dark and burnt tasting. At least once a week or more I blow my atty out. Blow from the top end and keep blowing until all the juice is out. With a paper towel, wipe the atty end clean. If your tank atty is gunked up that bad you may have to try and clean it out with everclear, by letting it soak for 15 to 30 minutes. I have even heard of soaking atty's in coke. The acid in coke brakes down the caked on funk. Which ever one you choose to soak the atty in, you are going to have to rinse it out real good with HOT water. Blow it out real good and let it air dry for at least 48 hours. (this is where having back ups comes in real handy). The tank atty does not get a natural air flow, so allowing it to dry out for 48 hours is important. The first time you go to use the atty, you will need to let it sit for a little while before using, to allow the wick to get wet. If you are anything like me, waiting is a problem. To help with my problem, I drop one drop of juice on the wick before inserting the cart. Once you get the atty cleaned out and back to normal, you may want to do some preventive cleaning. To help prevent juice build up, try the following. About every three days blow out the atty until all the juice comes out. Take straight PG and pour a little in the top of the atty. Blow it out. Do this a few times, until the PG coming out is clear. Wipe off the atty. The best part is that you do not have to wait to let the atty dry out. When you use PG to clean it out, you can use it right away.
Personally I have found that juice with a higher PG mix works best in the tank. If I use a liquid with a VG mix higher than 30%, I have problems. Also, if I use juice that is dark in color, I have to clean my atty more frequently.
Let me know how you make out.

Morfeeus reacted to marymary in Article In My Local Paper!
I saw this article while reading my local paper today! Made my day to see something about e cigs in the paper. Most of it was good news. It's always great to educate people on the greatness of vaping! They had a great success story of a couple who quit analogs by vaping.
Only one part made me angry.. The part about how its better to quit smoking by chewing on cinnamon sticks, straws, and cough drops. Really?!.. Really??
Heres the link to the article.

You may want to look for some vendors with sampler packs. Wordupecig offers a 5 pack of 5ml juice for $21.

Awesomevaor has a 10 pack of 3ml samples for $17.

I would always try to order the smallest amount you can until you find what you like. Many of us end up with a boat load of juice that never gets used.

Morfeeus got a reaction from Emile in Ego-T Hard To Drag?
The LR atties from GP do have a very small "LR" on them. It is located on the bottom inside of the atty near the threaded section. It is REALLY small. I have 20/15 vision and I can barely see it. I would imagine alot of people would need a magnifying glass to actually see it. I just took a black sharpie and put a mark on the outside just so I would know without having to look hard for it.

Morfeeus reacted to Brian in Another Ego-T Opinion
I've been using the eGo-T atomizer since Thursday afternoon and have to say that I am impressed with it so far. This thing is easy to use and it works well. I started out at 3.7V to break it in good. Initial impression was that the flavor was lacking. However, I was using a DIY juice that for some reason seemed off even with my regular 510 atty @ 5V. I have since tried three other flavors and they have all tasted fine (very good actually).
After going through a couple of tanks I cranked it up to 5V, but was getting dry hits. Using the tips Morfeeus posted, I was albe to adjust my draw to make it work pretty well. Still, IMO, 4.1V is the sweet spot for this atty. I seem to get the most vapor, best flavor and TH at 4.1V. I can't really explain why I'm liking this atty so much, but I've been vaping at 4.1V for the post 4 days (mostly) and I like it.
Refilling is very easy. I saw a tip in a youtube vid that said to refill with a pipette because the constant removal of the bottom cap would cause faster wear and could cause leaking. I've been refilling with a pipette and only removed the bottom cap once to clean the tank.
One thing I didn't like is that I kept getting juiced (not really getting juiced, just condensation, but it tastes bad). Condensation builds up around the mouth piece and eventually you will suck it through. It's the same issue many of us had with regular 510 carts. I solved that problem my removing the two little caps on the end (one cap and another little piece just below it). I haven't been juiced since. Removing these also seems to have helped the draw and makes the jucie flow better.
I was worried about leaking from the tank when not in use, but for the past three nights I've left it on my Provari overnight and haven't had any leakage at all. Every time I refill my tank (every 2-3 hours) I take the atty off and check for leaks, but so far not even a trace of a leak.
My wife is also enjoying the eGo-T! Since we both like it, I did order a few more and also ordered some of the LRs to try.
So, where will the eGo-T atty fall in my arsinal? I will most likely continue using the 510 atty and dripping. Then again, four days without dripping has spoiled me! LOL! I may continue to use this one atty just to see how long it lasts. Right now I seem to be quite happy using it at 4.1V. I will say with confidence that there's a good chance I will never use another cartomizer again! LOL!
As always - Different Srokes for Different Folks - it's working for me so I'm giving the eGo-T atty two thumbs up!
Used on my Provari.

Morfeeus got a reaction from kitsune in My Name Is Morf....and I'm A Vapaholic.
Yup, I have no choice but to admit that I'm a vapaholic. It started out innocent enough. An eGo kit here....a couple juices there. Recently though, it has blown up into a full time obsession. I find myself vaping all the time. I can't stop browsing vendors websites.....thinking about new joose to try....looking at all the available mods thinking how wonderfull they would be to have. I know I have a problem but am powerless to stop it. It all came to a head today when I was washing my car and decided I had to sneak off and vape some Monkey Bread instead of drying my car in time to prevent water spots. *Begins to cry* I need help....Please help me!!
LOL, sorry guys, just had share my obsession with everyone. I know I'm in good company here and most of you are probably in the same boat as myself. Maybe I should start a support group....Vapors Anonymous!!

Morfeeus got a reaction from mastiffmom in My First Impression Of Lr Vaping
Well, I got 3 packages today from 3 different vendors and one of them was some items I bought from GoodProphets.com. In that order was 2 of the eGo-T 1000mah batteries and 4 eGo-T atties(2 reg and 2 LR...everything in my fav color...green) I've already tried the tank system but was excited to try the LR version of the atties. So, I blow out all the primer juice and load up a cart of Monkey Bread from KBV(another one of my shipments that came in today). All I can say is WOW!! I love the increased TH from these things!! Flavor tastes pretty much the same but I notice the vapor is a lil warmer and the TH is a AWESOME!! I now see why alot of vapers enjoy the LR atties and I can see myself now switching to LR vaping from now on!! If you haven't tried LR vaping, give it a try unless you hate TH

Morfeeus reacted to Uma in Big Stu's Illuminated Juice Box Mod
I recently recieved my new bottom feeder mods from Stu's Illuminated Box Mods. In fact, they came in yesterday. Which means, I really can't "review" them quite yet, but I can share my joy (to date) with you. I bought the 3.7v juice box mods.
Size: Front and back, 2 thumbs wide. (1.5 inches wide) Sides: 1 thumb wide. (3/4 of an inch) Length: Index finger long. (2.5" high). (approximate, give or take a dash).
Battery: trustfire 14500 (madvapes with orange flames)
Volts: 3.7
atty: 510 connection. (I'm using a Cisco LR 510 just fine).
Vapor: great!
Flavor: great!
Feel in hand: great!
extra bottle: yes!
LED: changing colors as you vape (gold, green, blue, red, purple)
Colors: any color you want
Customized look: yes
Lanyard: yes!
Accent: a Pearl
Price: $40.00 basic, extra with options
Mine is Purple to pink gradation with Raindrops affect. Matching (solid) purple Lanyard.
Hubbys is Silver Gray with black raindrops affect and a black lanyard.
Basic white will illuminate the most. Some users put decals over the white, such as a skull and crossbones or Harley emblem... which is way awesome too.
It's a plastic box, nice and sturdy. It's easy for both hubby and me to squeeze the juice bottle. It vapes great. I don't know how to do the meter readings (ohms) and stuff. Hopefully someone else who has one will do a good thorough review.
This is an affordable and fun way to see if the bottom feeder juice box is right for you before purchasing an expensive model. I'm sure it will last me quite awhile, but I can't confirm that as of yet, as it's still brand new to me. I'll try to write a followup post a month from now. (unless someone else with Review skills & ohm reader purchases one and spares us all from my rambling. hint hint).
Summary: It's adorable, sturdy, cool, lightweight, tiny, and the mod maker is a great guy! (so far)
