I have had my eGo tank for a few weeks now and have encountered a few problems but have also learned how to work around these problems to make using this tank system a little less aggrevating. I have read on here how some others have found the system a little lacking and I'm hoping that some of my tricks/suggestions may improve their results with the tank. So, I hope this helps Leaking Issues: -When attaching your tank atty to the battery, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. I've noticed that the tighter I attach the atty, the more often my atty leaks. So, basically, when I attach my atty to the battery, I will screw it on until you feel it catch. At that point, I give it just the minor twist and that's it. -When you start noticing the "draw" becoming more and more like sucking a thick milkshake thru a straw, it's time to blow out the atty. This is a sign the atty is getting flooded and soon, it will start leaking out of the holes near where the atty attaches to the battery. By sucking on the cart when the "draw" gets harder, you are just pulling more and more juice into the atty and leaking is not far away. Personally, I blow from the top where the cart plugs in. Dry Hits: -When you have a dry atty either from it being new or having just blown it out, you will want to give a few good hard draws before activating the battery to actually vape. This will pull liquid into the wicking system. -DO NOT FILL TANKS TOTALLY FULL. I'm not sure why, but a completely filled tank will not drip juice properly and you will get dry hits. I think you need that little air bubble to help force the fluid into the wicking system. I usually will fill mine leaving an area about the thickness of two dimes empty. This seems to help with eliminating dry hits. I also have noticed that sometime you get a "plastic" taste in the juice. I have found out that I notice this mostly with tanks that have been pre-filled and have sat in the tank for longer than a day. So, I try to only fill what I think I will use that day. If I do end up filling a tank and not vaping it by the end of the day, I will pour the liquid back in the bottle instead of storing it in the tank for the next days use. Well, I hope some of this will help those enjoy their eGo tank system more with less problems. The tank system is far from perfect, but it does the job when it is inconvenient to DD. I'm sure some if not all of my "tricks" are not new to some but I did want to share my experiences with VT in the hopes that I may be able to help some fellow vapors enjoy their tanks system more and possibly eliminate any problems that I have read that some are encountering.

I'll Never Buy A Map Tank From Clouds Of Vapor!
Morfeeus replied to Schizophretard's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Personally, I love my MAP tank. I got the 2.8ohm version and am using it on an eGo and have had practically no problems with wicking or leaking. I even was removing the top cap to fill for the first week I had it because I didn't have any syringes. You do have to tilt and rotate it from time to time to keep the wicks wet to prevent "dry" hits but it really doesn't bother me. One thing that I guess I would say that I don't like is that occasionally I will take a hit and "smoke" will enter the tank. It's not like it affects performance or taste, but something about it just bugs me. I guess another thing I don't like is that if you lay it on its side, when you go to hit it again, it gurgles and it seems like you don't get as good of a hit but it only seems to happen when it's near full. As the liquid level drops, it seems to happen less. Put it this way, if I can ever catch them on sale again, I would love one or two more. I just hope I can catch the replacement cartos on sale again before this one dies!! -
I totally agree! I just converted my Aunt. She has smoked for over 40 years and has tried to quit numerous times. My mother told her that I haven't had a cig in over a month so she called me and asked me how I've done it. I told her about E-cig's and she explained that she had tried one from a party store and it didn't work for her. I brought over my eGo and let her try it along with some of my favorite and not so favorite juices. She tried it and was floored at how much better it was than the POS she tried. I have 2 eGo kits so I let her borrow a battery, atty, charger, and my bottle of cantaloupe juice from KBV and she has now been analog free for 3 days!!! She called me today to tell me she wants me to order her one when she gets her SSI check on the 3rd. I just couldn't make her wait till then so I ordered her one today and I am just going to give it to her as a gift. I also am giving her seven 30ml bottles of juice I got from VR and don't use due to the lack of TH. She was so excited(so am I!). She is on a fixed income and I wanna make sure that she has what she needs to succeed!

I seen a thread on another forum about these and they are getting rave reviews. They are about the same price as the eGo and they come with 1300mah batteries. Only thing I don't like is that they are a propriety cig. You have to use their batteries, cartos, etc. As far as the cartos, the reviews I have been reading are impressive. Extremely re-usable and easy to fill/refill. Some people are refilling 15+ times and say they are not experiancing any flavor loss. I'm definately tempted! http://shop.nhaler.com/The-Go-Go-Go-Go.htm

I've been thinking of trying that banana's fosters from Vaperite. How is it? Does it have a pretty decent TH? EDIT: Also, congrats Amy!!

The best juice vendor for TH for me has been AwesomeVapor.com. I get the 24mg nic level and it's perfect for me. Th is probably top priority for me because it doesn't matter how good the juice tastes if it doesn't give me that TH. I have tried probably 10+ flavors from AV and all have tasted pretty good although I wasn't a real big fan of RY4 or cherry (although there are alot of vapors that love RY4). If you decide to order from AV, use the coupon code "ecf10p" to save 10% of your order.

There has been great advice given so far. The only thing I really wanted to add was about juices and TH. I value TH as much if not more than flavor basically meaning that I don't care how great the juice tastes if it doesn't give me enough TH. I have tried 4 or 5 different juice vendors and the best ones I've found for TH so far are Awesome Vapor and Gourmet Vapors. Awesome Vapor is slightly cheaper as in price per ml plus Arno throws in a free 3ml sample of a flavor of your choice so you can try another flavor without spending money on it. Awesome Vapors juice has always been great out the bottle but they don't have as big of a selection as some of the other vendors. Gourmet Vapor had a funny smell/taste when I first got it, but after letting it steep for a few days, it went away. I usually order 24mg because it seems to be the perfect nic level for me as far as TH. You also can get 10% off your order at Awesome Vapor with the discount code "ecf10p".

I don't notice the flavor change it seems like most here do. Very minor difference for me. Of course, I don't use LR atty's though. I'm used to regular ohm's. Maybe that's the difference. Or maybe I just haven't fully gotten my taste buds back from analogs yet.

I would agree that he's not losing money. Bob and Missy have gained a very good reputation here and on ECF and the whole reason he switched website servers was because the amount of orders were crashing his old one. A paypal account is free to sign up for and very secure method for online shopping. BTW, when you do order from him, don't forget to try his "Monkey Bread!" It is the best tasting juice EVER!!

Hmmm, never used one of them before. Sorry.

I was really disappointed when I got my order from GV because it seemed like almost every juice had a funny chemical like smell/taste to them. However, I did let them steep for 4-5 days and decided to try them again and all I can say is wow, what a difference a few days makes. The funny smell/taste is pretty much gone from them. I ordered mine in 100% PG which I see now was a mistake. GV's PG alone produces almost no vapor. That was my mistake though. I have a few flavors that I got from VR that tasted great with lots of vapor, but no TH. So, I decided to mix some GV juice(which had good TH) with the VR juice and that ended up creating a very flavorful and vapable creation with nice TH. Ok, back to the point of this post. If your GV juice smells/tastes funny, let it steep for a few days and you will have some good juice once it ages a bit

Congrats!!

You fill the cart with the polyfill still in it. You add drops untill the polyfill begins to look like a "slushie". If it pools, you added to much and it may leak Also, cartomizers hold alot more liquid than a cartridge will. I am not familliar with the "Blu" e cig but if you can use it for a full day, I'm assuming it is a cartomizer, not a cartridge.

Throat hit(TH) is one of the most important factors for me with regards to the juice I buy. I see that you actually mentioned throat hit as a factor for you. If that is the case as it is with me, I would try either 18mg or maybe even 24mg nic juice. I have tried lower and it just doesnt give me the TH I need. Nic level is the most important factor in TH but as I have realized with some vendors, it doesnt matter the nic level as for some reason they just don't have a good TH. Personally, my fav juice vendor has been awesomevapor.com. They may not have the selection that some vendors do, but I've always liked most if not all the flavors I have tried and they have a good TH at 18mg or 24mg nic levels.

Nice review It's nice when you order new juice not knowing what to expect and you end up loving it!

UPDATE: Well, I've let my GV samples steep for a few days now hoping they would improve and they have started to lose that funny taste about them. I actually took one sample of "Bubble Gum" which tastes pretty good but more like cotton candy and mixed it with some "Cotton Candy" juice that I got from VR that tasted good just had no TH. I now have a bottle of juice thats actually pretty tasty. The GV juice had a good TH but no vapor. The VR juice had good vapor but no TH. Mixed together, I now have a 10ml bottle that tastes good, has good vapor, and produces a satisfactory TH. I have a couple more flavors that I think I can do the same thing with. Anyways, I just wanted to let people know that if they get juice from GV, they may need to let it steep a week if they are experiencing the same problem I did.

Why Did I Ever Start Smoking In The First Place?

"lr" stands for low resistance and provides a slighly different vaping experiance. LR's run a little hotter and produce a warmer vapor from what I have heard. I may be wrong as I personally have never tried them. As for the juice question, some vendors are pricier than others and doesn't neccesarily mean better. I have never tried juice from that vendor so I cannot comment on the quality or taste of it. There are a ton of juice suppliers with what seems like hundreds of flavors. One of the biggest expenses of this hobby is trying to find those juices that you really enjoy that provide the flavor, vapor, and Throat hit(that feeling you get in your throat like when you smoked a reg cig) that you are looking for. You may try a flavor from one vendor and then try that same flavor from another vendor and it can taste totally different. Juice is based on either VG(vegtable glycerine) or PG(propolyne glycol) or a mixture of the two. VG is a thicker base and provides maximum vapor output while PG is a little thinner and provides a better flavor and Throat Hit. Most users tend to use a mixture of the two to find that happy medium between flavor, vapor, and Throat Hit. I suggest that if your want to try different flavors/vendors for juices, that you order sampler packs when possible. That way you are able to try multiple flavors/vendors without wasting alot of money on juice you may not like. I have probably 300ml+ of juice that I have bought and tried that I just didn't like. It will get easier and cheaper though once you sift through all the product that you don't like and find those ones that you do. I just recieved an order from my 4th different juice vendor and only 2nd that produced juice I actually like. Good luck in your new hobby and happy vaping!!

I know some may have been offended by the way VaporNewbie was trying to make his point, but I agree with his actual point. Maybe I feel this way because we live in the same state and have seen our economy become one of the worst in the nation because Americans continue to support foreign business. Our economy here is based so much on manufacturing and automobiles that with people trying to save a few bucks instead of supporting American business, we have fallen on such hard times. I understand that alot of the E-cig industry comes from China and theres just no way around it but I will be more than happy to spend a few extra bucks to buy from American suppliers who not only provide jobs but also put their profits made back into our U.S. economy which in fact also will have a positive effect on others livelyhoods.

I just received my first order from KickBassVapors(KBV) today and thought I would share my first impressions. I ordered all my juices in a 70/30 PG/VG blend with 24mg nic levels. My ratings are 1-5. 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. Enjoy 1)KickBass Candy Bar. Good flavor. Tastes alot like a snickers bar. Nutty flavor a lil strong compared to the rest of the flavors Flavor=4 Vapor=4 Throat Hit=4 2)Caramel Cappuccino. My least fav or the four although it seems to be a fan favorite over on ECF. It may be that I've never actually had real cappuccino and may not actually like it. I like coffee and thats why I tried it. Flavor=2 Vapor=4 Throat Hit=4 3)Refreshing Cantaloupe. Good sweet vape. Tastes like a really sweet ripe cantaloupe although the juice isnt overly sweet if that makes sense. Flavor=4 Vapor=4 Throat Hit=4 And, as always, I saved the best for last!! 4)Monkey Bread. OMG, what an awesome juice!! It tastes like I just took a bite of the actual baked desert. It's got a sweet cinnamon flavor on inhale and a buttery sweet bread flavor on exhale. Of all the juices I've tried, this may be the best. I absolutely could use this as an all day vape. I will be ordering more soon as I can see this stuff wont last long!! Flavor=5 Vapor=4 Throat Hit=4 So, in summary, I would definately recommend giving KVB a try. I will definately be trying some of their other juices. I have read that they excell in the baked goods/pastry section of their menu and from the taste of the Monkey Bread, I can totally see that. Their website is currently in the process of being reworked so if you would like to orderfrom them, you can go to their website and send them an Email with what you would like. They will send you a email back with a paypal address and invoice total. Once they recieve payment, they will mix and ship product. Mine was shipped same day and recieved 2 days later!!

I went over to a buddys house today after work to have a few beers and my curiosity got the best of me. It has been over 3 weeks since my last analog and I just had to try one today to see if it still tasted the same. I took two drags and pitched it. It tasted so freakin nasty. Today I found out I will for sure never smoke another one. Vaping has completely taken over!!

I've been analog free for over 3 weeks now and today was the first brain fart I've had. I was driving in my truck and I reached for the lil cubby I kept my cigs in. I laughed and then grabbed my eGo and vaped away
