  1. Yep, this is true. I did find the Fluval fish tank scrubber and yes it does look the same even thru the microscope. I have been using it for a few days. BUT I have noticed that I tend to get a lot of juice in my mouth and it is getting very annoying. I use a syringe to fill the cart from the bottom up to top but I still get juice. So I am thinking this stuffing is not holding it well, releasing too much on each draw. So I believe it is too loose in texture. I also have seen a couple of youtube re: pillow/comforter stuffing found in your local fabric store. That will be my next experiment. Due to various laws regarding what is called batting/fiberfill, almost all is flame retardant. Except for the ones coming from overseas - which brings up another point. Most non-flame retardent comes from China which is where most of our carts come from too. HaH so our carts may not be flame resistent. Hmmm maybe they do need FDA testing. Arrrgh, just can't win with this. link to youtube tutuorial:
  2. should we assume this is like the Janty Dura cuz as up to this moment Janty Dura is the only one with the charger case?
  3. this is a shame, and yes I do have a side bet with my vapeing buddies that this e-cig won't make it through 2009. Unfortunately I may win the bet. Now that the price of analogs has just gone up smoking and quitting smoking will get a lot of press and so will the e-cig and where sometimes a lot of press is good - I don't think so in this case. A lot of press brings in the reality that e-cigs are not tested. I do use caution to not misplace a cart for fear my dog will eat it cuz nicotine could kill her. So that being said people will hype that fact that nicotine can kill or sicken a human too - particularly children. Obviously children will not pick up this habit of e-cigs cuz it is out of their price range, but the non-smokers of world are just alarmists. BTW I did get 3 months supply last week when I heard the price of analogs was going up. I figured the newbies were going to cut into my ease of supplies. i think this is the same article, for some reason i could not open the first link. http://www.mercurynews.com/topstories/ci_11873938
  4. The word "cigarette" has a negative connotation therefore perhaps another name for these things would appease the anti-cigarette smoking pain in the asses.
  5. This is great!! keep up the good work!! and thanks for being there for all us vaporers!
  6. Well, I looked for the material and low and behold my local Petco did not have it. BUT I will check the other 2 big box pet stores in my area and the local tropical fish store. This stuff for carts is a polyester type material that is for scrubbing fish tanks but the info says it is very similar or exactly the material in carts. Sorry folks no news yet, but if you knew me you would know this ain't over yet -- cuz i be relentless in most of my quests for info.
  7. So true the mouthpiece does get loose, that is another reason why i have so many. and i have actually cracked a few holding them with my teeth. and of course that causes leakage. Always good to have spare parts. So every so often i will replenish my stash of fresh mouthpieces with carts. I am off to work and at lunch I will pick up the stuffing material and take a good look at it. We have a microscope at work and I will scrutinize thru that thang. Also I have 2 buddies at the office who have just purchased Pilots from puresmoker and they too can take a look at this possible material. Extra opinions never hurt. I'll be back online around 2ish with results. Hopefully some photos too if my camera charges in time.
  8. I refill my carts with the syringe, i have about 30 carts cuz i kept buying the 5packs. I used to smoke about 35 analogs a day now i vape 7-10 carts a day which comes to about 3-6 analogs per cart. Yeah i see the ads for these things say "cart is 1-2 packs of cigs" that is a load of crap. I would say a 5-pack of carts is a pack of cigs. I also saw something on the Janty site that said not to vape more than 2 carts a day. Hmmm, too late now. I have been marking the 50ml bottle after each bunch of refills i do. Mainly to see just how many refilled carts i can actually get out of the bottle so when it is done i will let you know. So far i am about 2/3 to 3/4 way through bottle and have filled 106 carts. I should mention at this point that I have the PeeWee/NPro/SuperMini/RN4081 which does not compare to the larger models. Also I found a forum/you tube that talked about replacing the material in the cart with something for fish tanks from the pet store, I will research that this weekend and give you all my feedback. I do believe the material in the cart breaks down after x number of refills and won't hold the juice any more which will make it last a much shorter period of time. I will be back and update this.
  9. Me missin' games too!! But my boss is happy
  10. I also plan to go down in nic strength. I am using med now. Hmm, think i will get some low and mix it 50/50 with med. Then low then mix 50/50 low with zero. Then finally zero. I did go with the e-cig with intentions of quitting altogether but I am not going to rush this as that may just set me up for failure and I will buy a pack of analogs. E-cig is just the 1st baby step of a 2.0 12 step program Hmmm shall we call it Nic-a-non?
  11. I actually was watching a local news station and they did a segment on the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas and were talking about cool gadgets. It was Smoking Everywhere but I decided to google this and found lot's of stuff and settled on NJOY. My reasoning was i didn't want the cheapest but I was experimenting and didn't want the most expensive either. Njoy seemed to be a happy medium price. Since then I have been purchasing my parts from various places found on this forum and other forums.
  12. what this looks like to me is just a name for a model they have ecig then ecig 2.0 2.0 typically means next generation/version which in this case is they just started carrying another model and they choose to call it 2.0 Kinda like steve got the pilot in his line up of products. they are still too expensive but they do have to pay for their press they love so much. Heck they had a booth at CES in Vegas I bet that cost a pretty penny. Push those costs onto consumers.
  13. I purchased the 50ml bottle and I also wondered just how many cartridges I could refill. I have also purchased the pre-filled and have 15+. I also have been marking my bottle since I got it as to how much I have been using. Here is what I found: PeeWee refill 13 carts every 2 days with 24 refills (of 13) out of each 50ml bottle 24 refills at 13 carts per time with a total of 312 total carts. So basically I get 312 refills of PeeWee carts out of a 50ml bottle. it is up to you to figure out how much you use as we all vape differently. I estimate for myself I vape about $1 a day. Lot's of variables on cost as to what you pay and what you vape.
  14. we all had lot's of questions and I myself still have questions. My atomizer went kapoot after about 3 weeks. It just stopped getting hot. I emailed puresmoker and Daniel said they tend to last 3-6 weeks but of course that depends on the user - being how much you vape. Well I did the cleaning process a couple of weeks ago and it worked and now I am up to 5 weeks using it. One thing for sure, glad I bought a spare, and actually I just ordered my third one cuz if this baby goes out and I don't have backup then I will have a nicotine fit
  15. hmmm, clearly oxidation. Don't think it will harm you, but why don't you vape it and let us know if you turn green
  16. Well Chris, this might be a time for you to consider a man-purse instead of your pocket.
  17. don't forget to use the 5% discount code PURE5REF not a big discount but what the heck, why not
  18. too funny!! Wonder if they will paint the website on his body like the online casinos do
  19. Geez, sounds toxic. Bet it is like any fruit getting discolored from oxidation. But not sure I would want to smoke a rotten peach??
  20. Definately go with using liquid for a variety of reasons. 1. more choices 2. pre-filled carts don't have much flavor, liquid is tastier 3. carts can be refilled up to 5-6 times 4. liquid is reasonably priced making overall cost efficient 5. convenient to have on hand, so you are never without I also didn't think i needed liquid but tried a few flavors, as a menthol smoker the prefilled were somewhat menthol but not really -- then I got the "True Menthol" CashLiquid from Puresmoker.com and WOWie - just like smokin' Kools.
  21. I believe KF is "King Fox" .. although correct me if I am wrong
