  1. this is pretty cool site. Mostly informative for those new to vaping but there is some info i just didn't know. http://www.e-cigarettepedia.com/?page_id=2 created and maintained by Kalin Nacheff
  2. Holy Lawsuit!!! They "Smoking Everywhere" has got some balls!! There must be a downside to this but for the life of me I can't think of it. Maybe too much press can be bad?
  3. Actually that is what I was thinking too. I have seen other sites with lengthy descriptions of what seems to perform best and it is the DSE models over the RN models but basically I understand the RN are actually the first Ruyan models. So I am thinking I will keep ordering these parts from this guy cuz I got SLB which seems to be the better product. For my 901 his batteries are $11.99 and his atomizers for the 901 are $7.99 and by the way they too are stamped with SLB. Ordered 4/26 received 4/29 from Maryland. Not bad.
  4. Got a question for my experts on the site here. I ordered a DSE-901 stainless w/pink led from one supplier then, I ordered 2 batteries and 2 atomizers from another supplier cuz his parts prices were good. Got my kit then I just got my batteries and they are 1-2 mm shorter and have a code punched into the interior where threads are that say SLB and some numbers (serial?). I am thinking that these batteries are true 901 batteries from Sailebao (SLB)? and the starter kit I got was an RN-4075. Okay right now you are thinking "who cares?" but I am wondering as I hear comments about "knockoff" parts and I would like to know what came first the chicken or the egg (the DSE901 or the RN4075)? Anyone have thoughts on this? Please advise. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Model Number: RN-4075 Manufacturer: First Union Technology Parts Interchange With: DSE-901 Length: 119mm Atomizer Type: cylinder, 1 hole Alternate Names: Mini E-Cigarette, Pocket Mini E-Cigarette ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Model Number: DSE-901 Manufacturer: Sailebao Parts Interchange With: RN-4075 Length: 118mm Atomizer Type: cylinder, 1 hole Alternate Names: dse901a, dse901b, DSE901-1, DSE901-1-1, Mini E-Cigarette
  5. sorry bout that - try this link http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.d...D=2009904260384
  6. Hmm, I see the pattern here as Marlboro is Philip Morris and they are Altria and if this bill passes it will freeze Altria's 50% market share of all tobacco products being sold. It will stop any new products from RJR or any other competitor. I think they don't even care about stopping smoking or e-cigs as it is all about money and control. Good book to read about greed and control: Barbarians at the Gate: The Fall of RJR Nabisco

  9. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Geez, look at his myspace page!!! What a fabulous gift he has!! Actually alot like our very own Chris Hope he doesn't leave this planet at an early age as did his idols Jimi Hendrix (28) and Stevie Ray Vaughn (36).
  10. This dang battery is sooo done!! I am still playing with it -- today is the day -- she's gone
  11. Ouch!! don't spank me cuz that hurts the little Princess!!!
  12. Perhaps you could call the FDA and ask for this pieces of crap to be federally regulated...
  13. Yep, I too leave it a little loose, like just 1/4 turn not tightened -- I feel I get more air thus more vapor = easier draw. BUT after the spanking of the battery -- I still have intermittent problems. I draw on it - it lights - good vapor - it blinks a few times cuz of cut off - I set it down - light comes on - atomizer gets hot, hot hotter - I unscrew it - light is still lit - absolutely disconnected from atomizer and led is lit and then blinking. arrrrrggggghhhh. Seems it is time for imprisonment, bondage, out of state trafficing | | | Gonna put her in a box, wrap her up in duct tape, and send it back to supplier!!!!
  14. so we have gone from "blow/suck" to "assault on battery"
  15. Okay kids, here we go again. One battery is heating up the atomizer somethin' fierce -- so hot it burned when touched to my lip. youch!! anyway, contacted the supplier and they got back to me right away. So kinda wondering why they don't include this in the manual. "You may be able to get the switch working by taking the battery off of the atomizer and pretending to smoke the battery itself. Inhale lightly at first and blow through the battery, do this a few times and then increase the pressure of your inhale and blow out through the battery alittle harder. Continue this action until you see that the battery is not staying on like you stated. (The battery will flash 10 times when it thinks you have inhaled too much, don't let this bother you during this technique)" Dang, the ole "blow/suck" method originated by Chris i presume.
  16. so true, I do believe the "150" dollar guys are buying in huge volume cuz they get the $$ to do so.
  17. what a bummer!! I am so sorry to hear that!!. Last week I had anxiety due to lack of parts, as did my vaping buddy. He bought a whole new kit just to get parts, cuz he could not find anything separate. So that gave me the idea to buy a kit and start over. Hence the 901 as opposed to the peewee. Hang in there I am sure parts will be in stock soon. I did read that the factories have the capability to make 4,000 parts a day, but I do think they are controlling it quite a bit. Damn them!! Control Freaks!! They are in a hurry to get the wire transfer but not in a hurry to get them to the smaller guys. I think they sit on them for their big customers and we all know who they are with their $150 kits.
  18. Yep I too thought just 1 hole is odd. Wondering what the difference is between the two manufacturers of the 901/4075 and which one it is that I actually have. I have seen alot of pics with only 1 hole. and on mine there is only 1 hole about 3mm down from battery end of atomizer. weird, i did see on another forum a mod to drill this 1 hole a little bigger but the issue would be hitting something component within the atomizer and screwing up the only atomizer i have at the moment. Actually i do get a good draw with the mouthpiece drilled out and plenty of air seems to go into that 1 little hole so whatever works is fine at the moment.
  19. Thanks I am enjoying my newest toy... only took 2 hours to charge the battery after i depleted in in 3 hours. Clearly I will need spares immediately as I am not always sitting next to a charger. Did you ever find the 801 parts you needed? I hope so, I felt that pain last week, which is way i changed model.
  20. Well I just got my dse901. I have read many reviews and i decided on this as opposed to the dse801 penstyle which to me is just huge. Besides this one is pretty - Stainless steel with a Princess Pink led. I like the 901, replacement parts are relatively cheap and easy to find -- that is very important!! My last ecig (NPro/PeeWee/RN4081) I had for 3 months and started having battery issues and atomizer issues and no luck finding parts. That was killing me!!! so it was time to try something else before i slipped back to analog (yuck!!). the 901 was ordered on 4/22 and received on 4/25 via USPS pretty dang quick -- made me very happy. I do like the flat mouthpiece as I tend to hold it in my mouth and that is difficult with a round mouthpiece as I did crack quite a few clenching too tightly to hold it. it is a little longer than peewee about 3/4" so total lenght is 118mm so not a big deal, weight is about the same. Cartridge is twice the size of peewee holding much more juice. Atomizer is an internal type with the wick not extending beyond the stainless shell, and it only has 1 hole. I do believe I saw a mod for this somewhere. Battery is a male type as opposed to the peewee being a female. So not interchangeable but pretty much the size size - so same life i am sure (3-4 hours) Hmmm, started it right up: Vapor = fabulous Throathit = fabulous Cartridge juice = surprisingly tasty for manufacturers juice (menthol) Dripped = again fabulous vapor Battery Life = out of box was 3 hours. Obviously will need a full charge and we shall see what I get out of that. But battery is sooo similar to the peewee it will be the same 3-4 hours. I did immediately drill the hole in the mouthpiece to a larger size 3/32" for better draw with less of a headache trying to draw. Well folks that's all, I like the dse901 and have already done my search for parts. Cheapest I found is 7.99 atomizer and 11.99 battery. Works for me. added: one little tidbit i did read was about battery problems, but I searched some more and found when screwing the atomizer onto battery the connection can turn within the external battery sleeve with will break the connections within the battery which will create problems. One person mentioned just a slight drop of superglue could remedy this, or just don't twist to vigorously.
  21. OMG!! How cute is that little girlie dawggie!! take lot's of photos cuz they grow soooo quickly.
  22. I love this stuff. Very fun and funny, and interesting. Keep it up.
  23. I did try lemon juice and got no where, this stuff is clearly burnt on and fused to the coil. I do believe we should not let it get that fried onto it by routine maintenance. My best experience was with the vinegar but it made it taste like rancid cooking oil/ grease.
