  1. I just saw your email re: Mrs. K. This ailment can be very painful. Hope she is up and around rapidly. Not to be an alarmist but "sleeping bowel" should not be taken too lightly as there could be an underlying cause as to why this happened. IBS may be the cause which can be controlled with meds. But the Doc should be very thorough with the exam/diagnosis. take care, thoughts and prayers to you both.
  2. Interesting facts and figures. http://www.tobaccoharmreduction.org/wpapers/011v1.pdf
  3. Kinda funny but everyone just dropped the topic. You are actually the first to step up to the plate and What the Heck is it?. the car is a 1955 MBZ 300SL commonly known as a Gullwing. He bought it 35 years ago for $30K. New estimate is below in NADA Guide link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_300SL As this car is a collectors type of vehicle it is somewhat considered a "blue chip" investment and the price goes up and down constantly but really doesn't vary alot. http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-22-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=22&p=1&f=5014&y=1955&m=1115&d=4156&c=7&o=39351&vi=76332&z=94403&da=-1
  4. I know what you mean. I did see the size of the skin is 3"x1.5" but on the typical batts there is most likely an overlap. On my VP1-901 it would be just right going around but just short of the lights which is a good thing. I would still have to tool the area for the button but that should not be difficult. I had skins on my old RAZR phones and those things lasted forever and actually were very difficult to remove to change. I was told they were made out of automotive grade decal material. http://www.skinit.com/skins.php I do think they should be available in the store with Vapor|Talk logo.
  5. I had some 901s that did that (got hotter than hell) and would not shut down. Chrome with pink led. Hmmm, stuff happens. I just moved on thankful that i didn't get hurt or burned.
  6. I admit i chuckled when the guy said it's a Lambo, but to catch just a glimpse of a hot unique car, sometimes it is just doesn't register what make it is. To be honest I saw a Maybach and didn't have a clue. Also there are so many models of Maserati I wouldn't know that either. This is my boyfriend's car, and it's been called a customized 'vet, modified Porsche and a whole lot of questions get asked.
  7. it was the clinical trial for the nicotine inhaler that I took part in. It was an 18 month studay at Stanford. They checked my lungs and blood every week. the only problem I had with the studay was giving up 2 test tubes of blood every week -- I now have a fear of needles that didn't exist before the study.
  8. I can understand his frustration, so it is what it is and we are all entitled to our opinions. Since I've started I have spend well over $1K and that includes alot of duds but whatever, I learn from mistakes I make -- guess he will read the fine print now won't he? Never assume cuz it makes an ***-u-me
  9. Actually Derek - I'm with you - nothin' but props to both suppliers. and lots of other too. Heck S_it Happens!! whoyagonnacall-Vapebusters??
  10. possibly old stock that's been sitting and got vaped when dry.
  11. hahaha DMV was hilarious!! Although I have not been in a DMV line for some time -- thanks to AAA!! I personally settled for mundane corporate job with great benefits but waiting for layoffs and watching my friends get layed off and following them on facebook that they are layed off but going out to lunch everyday and going to the beach in good weather or to the snow in the winter. Hmmmm, i am droning on and on like the video mainly cuz i am at my mundane corporate job where one of the few perks is being online all the time and getting paid overtime when i actually decide to do the work expected of me.
  12. Well, I wouldn't toss the atty yet. I have had bad batts and attys and one day I decided to go through all inventory and played around with different combinations from different suppliers and manufacturers and low and behold one of the bad parts mysteriously worked. Apparently it just didn't make the connection some how. The old question "is it a true DSE or generic atty and is it connected to a true DSE or generic batt". Also parts are now (only god knows) way beyond the 2.0 era already in to the 5.0 version and more. Hang in there -- maybe run it through a good cleaning in a sonic cleaner - rejuice it up and give it a go. Ya never know it could come back to life. I have boxes labeled good, bad, iffy and all are labeled by suppler and date purchased, i love the ziplock snack bags & Sharpies which are perfect for this type of OCD. The "Help it Broke" section has tons of stories of bad attys.
  13. PureSmoker has been good to me when I started. Actually an excellent supplier, I am now all grown up and have found so many other suppliers; some with great prices and some with excellent service. This e-cig thing has grown in leaps and bounds and is now so very competitive. I also order the 5-pack or more - basically in bulk. I checked with my regular supplier (not PureSmoker) and this is what I found. I also checked some other sites and they to do not offer warranty of "bulk" purchase, as it is discounted and it would not be cost effective due to shipping costs. Guarantee We normally offer a 28 day warranty on the our Electric Cigarette atomizing units. However on our Multi-Packs each atomizer works out at less than $7 Each . Therefore we offer no warranty on this item. The atomizers though are exactly the same as the single units we sell. and my other thought is, i typically pick one and use it so the others just sit unused until whatever warranty/guarantee or any other promise of performance would run out anyway. Not like i check all 5 (or more) to make sure they work. We all have suffered through the occasional battery or atty that does not work but due to the touchy situation of legality of this particular product sometimes you need to just bite the bullet. True it is not a deal if some are DOA but there is fact that bulk is highly discounted. Although this could pose a problem if you are buying these to add to stock to turn around and sell as a supplier, and if that is the case I surely would not pay over $5 a piece for bulk price. Sorry to hear you had an issue with PureSmoker product -- Always read the fine print!! Clearly a lesson learned by you and a warning "buyer beware".
  14. so true, but certainly worth a try. I just ordered a couple of skins for both my VP-1s (early version and next version) and the size (3"x1.5") is right to let the lights show.
  15. Great find Elem187 !!! Interesting but I watched it 2-3 times and I just don't see the pelican that made him drive into the lake. Can you spell i n s u r a n c e j o b ? bet he thought no one was a lookin'

  17. Depression is absolutely a side effect of quitting smoking. 20+ years ago I did a clinical trial at Stanford for a smoking cessation product. Once a week I went in for various things, carbon monoxide test, blood test and then there was the 200 question paperwork to fill out. On that was no less that 75 questions regarding depression, all questions were phrased differently but none the less were depression related. They clearly knew that withdrawals from nicotine cause depression and they wanted to know the what percentage of the demographic group was experienceing depression and to what degree. There is not nearly the amount of nicotine in ecigs that there is in analogs, so yes you are suffering from a certain amount of depression aside from whatever else is going on in your life which may be adding fuel to the fire so to speak. Nicotine also speeds up your metabolism, and yes I have put on some unwanted excess weight since I started ecigs. Probably cuz i intentionally cut down the strength of the nic. Oh well -- something new to focus on but see my banner how well I have done...
  18. What an idiot!! Here is more on this fool!!! http://www.lufkindailynews.com/hp/content/news/stories/2009/11/14/bugatti.html
