Looks very boss... I am a fan of hand blown glass from erm.... Well, I'm a fan. $15 seems a lil' steep, but like Uma said, should last basically forever. Hmmm, now I need to decide whether to get some 510 LR attys and this tip, or stick with my original plan and rip the 306 LR with a plastic tip... Wonder how long it will be before they have these for the 306? I may have to look up some of my old glass blowing buddies and commission some work.

I am with brijmin. I de-wick and de-bridge first for the same reasons. I mostly go by flavor, (which I find to be stronger) with no atty/wick. I am a stationary vaper though, and do not mind dripping less drops more often. I also have not had a problem with leaking juice. **Disclaimer: I have only been vaping for 8 days. Any advice or observations I give are only from my personal experiences. YMMV.**

Did you switch back from dripping? I can't imagine going back to carts from dripping. What caused you to change your mind? Only way I could see not dripping was if I drove a copious amount, in which case I would prolly have to get a tank... Either way, it's all about what works for you.

Congratz on figuring it out. I pulled my atty out halfway the first one I de-bridged and found that you can just gently push them back in unless you rip the leads out. Trial and error (mostly error) is the best way for me to learn.^^

Thanks for the replies. That's what I was afraid of. I guess I'll just have to wait for my parcel. Man that thing will put out some plumes. (I was getting comparable results to a couple of Queen's 5v mods and I was very impressed with this great flavors as well.) Good thing I have some new juice to keep me occupied till my new gear gets here.^^

A friend hooked me up with a 306 LR yesterday to test out some hardware in anticipation of my Riva (I hate waiting for shipping)... I want to stick it on my 510 due to the increased vapor production. I don't want to chance diminishing the life of my already sketchy 501 batteries. Any chance folks have tried this with success? How long were you getting off a charge? (I vape pretty heavily and am getting 2 hours/charge now with my regular 510s.)

Good review. I have a 510 and was looking to upgrade my battery. Someone on the forum recommended the Riva for a moderately priced upgrade.... (I just ordered it from Liberty-Flights.com yesterday.) I was a bit skeptical due to the cost difference from the eGo which was my first choice, but the deal was too good to pass up. I am feeling much better about my decision now. I will review the 510 vs. the Riva when I get my new hardware in and get a chance to play with it for a bit. Thanks brijmin.^^

Heya Trac3, welcome to the forum. You will undoubtedly find the answers to all of your questions here, though mostly from folks far more knowledgeable than myself. (I just started vaping a week ago.) As far as your surprise vapor I believe the atomizer may have some primer liquid in it from the factory (maybe PG?) as my 510 had some tasteless vapor before I put a filled cart in as well. I get about 3-4 good long draws per drop when I direct drip onto my atomizer. Just remember to keep it a bit wet and when the flavor changes and vapor production starts to diminish, add some more liquid. (Not too much though, as you can flood the atomizer fairly easily if you aren't careful.) Some folks will chime in with more seasoned advice, but that's been my experience thus far. Welcome again to VT.^^

Thanks for all the info, especially the Librty-Flight website. I ordered a Riva 510 kit and an extra 30 ml bottle of juice. I am looking forward to getting it. (Meh, I hate waiting for shipping... ) >>Chris The battery just listed this week (on the 24th), so maybe a new addition? Either way the 750 mAh will be more than enough for me... for now...

Nice,I know Mooresville pretty well. (I eat oysters at Big Daddy's whenever I get out that way.) I couldn't promise to make a meet out there, (I don't travel for work anymore), but the next time I am around I will definitely swing through Victory Lanes and let them know how supportive I am of their policy with my patronage. Thanks again for the heads-up, and I will think about getting started on that list....

Man that's great. I am in NC and would love to bowl a few frames there. I may have missed it, but where is the alley at? LoriHNC, are you coming to the meet in Raleigh on Saturday? http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/9823-raleigh-nc-vape-meet/ I agree a list of "Vaper Friendly" establishments would be awesome... (Maybe listed by state.)

So I was sitting around crying about the pittiful battery life on my 510, when I came across the eGO Absolute 1000 mAh battery. http://www.dragonflyecigs.com/store/joye-joye-absolute-1000-battery-p-208.html Anyone have any experience with this unit? I am assuming it would work fine with my current attys and charger (for the 510) but I may need to upgrade to the quick-charger. I needed my first PV to be as close to the look and feel of an analog as possible, but I am quickly getting over this prejudice. Also any experiences with the vendor would be helpful... You guys rock.^^

I am one of the "young bloods." I saw Chris on YouTube and he looked friendly and knowledgeable. As soon as I posted my intro and started getting tons of welcome replies I knew I had found a good community. (The as yet empty promise of cookies definitely didn't hurt.) Really though, just wanted to hijack for a sec and thank all of the admins and members who take the time to answer all of our questions patiently and soundly. Keep up the good work.^^

I hope it is a taste bud thing. I have actually started to get used to the taste, and am rather enjoying it. BirdDog >> I was drinking coffee when I first started to notice it, but it is definitely there still this morning. Like I said, I hope it's my buds.... I think I need to test the theory with some Four Roses Single Barrel.^^

OK, so I have been vaping like a freight train since Saturday, and still no analogs have passed my lips. I noticed something funny while at work last night. As I was vaping, I noticed a faintly sweet taste on my lips. Actually a bit more fruity than sweet. I thought I was flooded and was sucking juice down but when I checked my mouthpiece was dry. (I started dripping and usually keep my PV angled down as I am pretty paranoid still.) Also I didn't hear a gurgling sound, and was getting good strong vapor production. I am trying to figure out what is going on. I don't know if my juice is bad, or if my tastebuds are waking up after being in a coma for the last 17 years. I am vaping a PG Dekang 18mg tobacco juice (USA mix). I swear the first couple of days it didn't taste at all sweet/fruity. It's not bad, but I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Anyone with experience of juice changing flavors?

Miatafrank, This is most helpful to us noobs. Thanks so much for the clarification. Excellent guide and easy to understand.^^

I wouldn't have even tried in the DMV earlier but I was in there for an hour and change, and was getting frustrated. Well, I am headed back to work today, so I guess I will take a quick walk to HR and see if the company has a policy concerning vaping. (I work in a class 100 clean room so I don't think I will be pulling out the Joyetech in there.... But as far as in the halls or the break room... We shall see.) I don't forsee it being so much of a problem in bars and restaurants, and honestly I am so used to planning my comings and goings around when I could "catch a smoke" that it probably won't be an issue at all. (I stall vaped between church services on Sunday and felt a little naughty...) I want to be proud of my newest addiction.

I agree. I went through my 5 pack the first day, and refilled a couple. (I wasn't smoking analogs though, so I may have overdone it a bit.) In the end, I think vaping will work out to cost approximately the same as smoking for me. (I may save a bit, it's really too early for me to tell.) It is definitely worth it, though, as cost wasn't the reason I wanted to quit. I started dripping on my second day, and find the taste and vapor production to be much more to my liking. I hope it is not an atomizer killer. (It seems to me that they won't last as long, but again, it's really too early to say.) Whether you stick with carts or drip... Whether you save 60% from analogs or not... At least you can "breathe a bit easier" knowing that you are doing much less damage to your internals, and it's tough to put a price tag on that.

When you all are out and about, do you ask for permission or forgiveness? I figure most places won't say anything, but I got some dirty looks at the DMV this afternoon. I wasn't approached by anyone, but there was a lady in the corner who almost cut me in half with her obvious disdain. I finally put up my new 510 mid-vape to keep her from embolizing in the waiting area. So I was feeling guilty, even though I don't feel like I was doing anything wrong. How do you all broach this in public?
