There is a breaking in period so don't give up if you find that you are getting a harsh throat hit when you first start vaping. Most diffidently prime the atty before using one for the first time or after cleaning the atty. Look inside of the atty and line up the cart with the atty so you are getting a good air flow. I also suggest you remove the two little pieces from the tip of the cart. I promise you that you are not going to get juice in your mouth. Since the tank atty is closed off and gets warm, condensation will build up in the mouth piece and around the outside of the cart that is in the atty. By removing the two little pieces in the mouth end, less condensation will form. Some folks see the condensation and/or taste the flavored water and think it is juice coming from the cart. Its only flavored water. Take a napkin and soak up the condensation every now and then to prevent getting some in your mouth. Also, if you see some liquid that appears to be seeping out of the top of your atty, where the atty and cart meet, most likely it is the condensation that forms on the outside of the cart in the atty. Just pull the cart out and wipe it off. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the tank system as much as I do.

This is going to affect everyone involved with e-cigs across the board. Even though it is a victory and the consumers will be more safeguarded from vendors suppling substandard products, it is going to drive prices higher and force some "Mom n Pop" vendors out of business. I agree with Beans. I am sure the individual states are already working their calculators over time regarding future tax revenue. I guess I am just being pessimistic!

Hey Tags, Yes it has an 808 battery connector. I bought the 510/808 adapter from Good Prophets, they are only .99 cents each. I've used on my eGo and my mod @ 3.7 volts. If I try and use the Vortex @ 6 volts, I get a harsh vape. The first one I used I was able to fill it 5 times before I needed to clean it. After cleaning I couldn't get it to work again. The second one worked great on the first fill, but when I refilled it and put the drip tip back on, some how the white rubber gasket that fits around the battery connector worked its way off. Its a mystery. Anyway, I am now on Vortex number 3. #3 I'm not too happy with. I now understand what other folks are talking about, getting a burnt taste from the get go. To me thought, its a harsh vape as opposed to a burnt taste. Even thought I enjoyed the flavor, vapor and such from the first two, I don't think I will buy more until they are able to work out all the issues. I don't want to be throwing away 1 - 2 cartos a day. I need to save my money looking for the perfect juice! LOL

Hi Puffer, My story is similar to yours. I quit analogs 8 years ago this month. I started smoking when I was 16 years old and only by the grace of God was I able to quit at the age of 46. Even though I never had a craving for a cigarette after April 13, 2003, I never lost the love of the act of smoking. I thought I had died and went to heaven when I discovered e-cigs Oct 2010. Not only was I able to satisfy my desire for the ritual of smoking, I found a great hobby. Like most hobbies, the start up cost is a little high. But I do believe it is starting to level out. Now, if they would just stop making new gadgets! LOL

I've been vaping non stop with the Vortex Carto since yesterday. I'm using 80/20 mix on my ego battery. The taste is great (no dry burn issues), the vapor is awesome, and I finally know what a TH is. You can vape back to back with no problems. As Atari stated, its very easy to fill, holds 1ml of juice. I recommend using a drip tip. The rubber cap that comes on it is not comfortable. I haven't had and wicking problems, nor leaking issues. The first one I used, I refilled it 6 times. I did notice on the 6th fill that it was time to clean it. I ran hot water through it until the white liner (ALF) was white again. Blew it out and did a dry burn. Filled it up again, and it didn't work. No vapor, just a slurping sound. I rinsed it out and put it in front of my laptop fan to see if it just needs some drying time. According to Got Vapes, it is a disposable carto. The plastic tube is glued to the battery connector. According to Got Vapes, you can remove the ALF, but you have to get the tube off in order to do this. Well, if it doesn't vape after allowing to dry for several hours, I will try my luck at removing the tube.

Sizes of just the eGo battery up to the threads: 650 mah - 2.7", 900 mah - 3", and 1000 mah - 3.1". I am using the eGo Tank System and I love it. There is a learning curve and also a breaking in period. But once you master it, you will love the convenience. I recommend the LR eGo Tank atty.
