Ok GP, I got my order of eGo cartomizers today. I loaded it up around 2:00 PM and its still going strong. How do I know I need to refill because I don't want to let it go dry? Also, these do appear to be totally disposable or am I wrong? What is the average life span? I am also assuming you can't change the juice?

I'm real happy with my eGo and the ease of buying supplies. My next PV will be a juice mod.

Just to let you know, the hissing sound your hearing is the battery heating up the atty. Completely normal sound, but you don't want to heat up the atty without sufficient amount of juice in the atty. From what I understand (I don't DD) the drip tip goes directly on the atty. It doesn't fit on top of the empty cart that comes with the atty.

There are a lot of good videos about cleaning atty's and dewicking them. Just make sure you let them dry out real good before using them and be very careful dewicking, because you can kill them. I know, I have killed a few dewicking. Dewicking is a very good thing to do. The wick can get all gunked up and rune the taste of you juice.

Well Corrodie I looked for the information regarding the cartomizers and there doesn't appear to be any. I am using the Joye eGo e-cig and a lot of the other folks here use them too. I hate to be the one to tell you, but I think and e-cigs that you and your mother purchased are similar to the non-descriptive e-cigs that have a battery that will only last you a couple of hours between charges. On the web site they say that one cartridge will last the same as 1 pack of cigarettes. NOT! I can't find where they say how long a cartomizer will last. Strange, they sell empty cartomizers, but they don't sell the e-liquid!!! Currently VT Store are out of the eGo starter kits, but Liberty-Flights.com have them for $52. They also have the RiVa, which is another brand that is very similar to the Joye Ego for $34.39. Both the eGo and the Riva have the 510 connection and you can buy Atomizers,Cartridges and Cartomizer anywhere that sells the 510. Both units have manual batteries (you press the button to vape) which are sealed and you don't have to worry about juice getting in the battery and killing it. Other members will be along to tell you their experiences and opinions with e-cigs. Anyway, welcome again and I hope this forum can help you out.

I just got the extension in this morning. It's 2mm long not including the threads. Would this be long enough or would I still have to use the 510 - 801 & 801 - 510?

Last night I ordered the 510 extension from Good Prophets. The web site doesn't give any details as to the size of the extension.

Hey Brian, In the picture you posted, is that the tank cartomizer? I just looked at your picture again. I guess I thought it was the cartomizer because the ProVari is so much bigger than an eGo battery!! Also, would a 510 extension work too?

Silence........... I feel your pain, I had to toss two out today. These things never happen at a good time!!! I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you are able to find a replacement real soon. The good thing is, bonds like these can be over come just as soon as a new one steps up to the challenge.

I bought my 1000 mah eGo battery from them and its the real deal. I have also bought tank attys and carts from them. I've emailed Abe about out of stock items and he has replied within a day or two. I emailed the support department last Sunday because one of my tank atty's died before the 28 day warrant was up. I got a reply on Monday telling me how to order a replacement and as of yesterday, its in the mail. I am a firm believer that if you don't get a response within a reasonable amount of time, go to plan B. Call them on the phone. There are lots of e-cig vendors carrying the same products, the customer service is going to win over a buyer every time. L-F has been very good to me!!!

April 13th will be 8 years since I quit smoking. Like you PaPaT, I missed the act of smoking. It was relaxing for me and something I truly enjoyed. Drinking coffee in the morning and having a smoke, after dinner, and with a cocktail. I discovered e-cigs while looking for help for my brother to quit analogs. After reading about them a light bulb went off in my brain "Wow, I can still go through the motions of smoking without all the harmful chemicals. From what I have read, nicotine is no different than caffeine. I started vaping in Oct 2010. I started with the crappy e-cigs they sell in the malls. In Jan. 2011 I found VT Forum and found out just how enjoyable vaping can be. I was chain vaping at first, I just couldn't get enough. The juices were so good. Much better then any analog I ever smoked. My vaping is starting to taper down. The Flu kinda helped me in that department. I can most diffidently see this as a hobby for me. I just need to make sure I don't go over board and spend way to much money (something else that needs to taper down). Good luck and I hope you enjoy your new found hobby.

Yep, She won't be in pain anymore or starved for love. Umm, I've got this picture going on in my head, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher, and Richard Burton meeting Liz at the Pearly Gates. All three men standing there with their arms crossed on their chest and each have one foot tapping. Then Liz walks through the gate, puts on a devilish smile and says "How have you gotten by this long without me?". She throws an air kiss to all three and says "Well, who is going to show me around?". I tell ya, I think its going to be a neck to neck between Todd and Burton! I guess we are just going to have to wait to find out "the rest of the story".
