I agree. I know everyone wants to save money but it's kind of defeating the way attys are made as I understand it.

As I've said before, I LOVE my tank. And then I gunked up my attys, both at the same time. Now, I was smart and bought 4 attys when I got it. But then I introducyed my hubby to vaping, and he loved it, and took one of my sets. So right now I am DDing and waiting for my OG mod to come. I have the tank with the 1000 whatever battery and I like it a lot. It doesn't look oddly big, I don't think.

I still have s long way to go. Which is good, because I'm sure I don't know what I'd wear. Heh.

So I'm sitting here thinking...thinking OF COURSE I get into vaping just when it has gotten popular enough that the FDA is causing all kinds of headaches. Wondering if there will come a day when it is next to impossible to buy e-cigarettes? Wondering if what I really should do is learn how to make small bottom fed box mods for myself and to give to people who want to try this way to quit smoking, cuz as a former smoker AND a health care professional, I'm not an idiot. I know it works, and I know it's a lot less harmful than smoking. Wondering if I should try to hone my DIY skills, and make up as much of at least base juice as I can? Wondering HOW in the heck shipments can be "seized" when, to date, none of this sstuff is ILLEGAL? For crying out loud, it's not drugs!! (Which, by the way, apparently comes into the country with less trouble.) Does anyone else have these doomsday fears? Do you ever think about contingency plans? I'm so ticked off I could SPIT right now!!!

I ordered LR cartomizers because I get so tired of babying attys. I love LR cartos - love the disposability, love the snap, crackle and pop. Mmmmmmmm. I love my eGo tank and only having to refill a few times a day BUT when those attys gunk up/go bad, they are dead in the water. And when your HUSBAND has decided that HE TOO loves vaping, there go your back ups!!! So I ordered a Big Stu's Illuminated Bottom Feeder 3.7 Box Mod today (a la Uma) and I can hardly wait. Ordering the 14500 batteries (I think) and a charger and some Cisco LR 306 attys. Lord, seriously, I can hardly wait. I'd really like a Reo or Ali'i but I better see how this works out. I hate waiting.

Now THIS is intriguing. So tell me what the benefit is with bottom feeders, besides the fact that you don't have to top off etc? Do you attach, then, a 510 atty on it? (llowering my head in shame that I feel so dumb with these questions)

Tasty Vapor also makes some good strong flavors. I actually wrote to Jason at Vapor Renu, and asked for his input on the whole flavor issue, because after 35+ years of smoking menthols, my taste buds for tasting flavors are pretty much shot although starting to recover. He suggested that I stick with the heavier PG based liquids (I usually get 80/20) and stick with the spices such as pumpkin, cinnamon, mint). Accordingly, my next order winging its way toward me is the famous juliery's punkuccino (pumpkin spice, cappucino and some chocolates, I believe), chocolate mint chip, and I can't remember what else. Big Red Gum - my husband's favorite all day vape.

I'm sorry. I would bet that everyone here knows how that feels. I don't even know what to advise you except to try a little DIY, and when I say that, I emphasize the TRY. I have tried a little bit - haven't really had the time to experiment much but my first few attempts haven't been blazingly successful/ If you like the flavors from Vapor Renew, Flavor West is their flavorings provider or division or whatever. Maybe you could start SMALL with some of their flavorings and mix them up with your own base liquid to get the throat hit you're looking for?

Welcome to VT - I was the same as you! 35 year smnoking menthols. Turns out I don't like the menthol OR tobacco flavors at all, and have a new "habit" that consists of trying all kinds of flavor combinations. Oh, and I'm an eGo girl too.

More to the point, if they are so afraid that e-cigarettes will lead people to smoking cigarettes about which there are known dangers, why don't they concentrate their efforts on banning cigarettes? Oh. Yeah. Because they aren't allowed to do so.

I have to tell you that I turned my husband on to vaping after I started. At first he wasn't interested but when he saw how much I was enjoying it and that all of my unsuccessful attempts at quitting were gone in a puff of - uh - vapor, I think he was intrigued. This is a guy who has 5 stents in his heart, a terrible family history of heart disease, his own cardiologist and a stack of medications. He went to see said cardiologist yesterday, his BP was perfect, and they took him off of one of his heart meds, because he's doing so well. His cardiologist is THRILLED with him vaping! And my own primary care provider - who is also my preceptor as I work toward my nurse practitioner certification - recommends vaping to her patients now when I am with her, and has me show people mine. She told me, "As far as I'm concerned, you can vape the rest of your life and not hurt yourself compared to what you were doing to yourself with cigarettes!"
