ripple got a reaction from Uma in Reo Owners, Please Halp.
So all that said, its the kind of device that fits my preferences in that its simple, consistent and allows we to set it up and use it for a day without any dripping, refilling or battery changes. It is really the only device I use anymore, with other devices and parts sitting in drawer. I am sure its not for everyone but for me - its the plain and simple go to device and the only thing I really vape anymore.
Hope that helps

My first "drag" on an e-cig yielded the same result, as I quickly learned the e-cig is NOT a cigarette and the technique is different. With an analog I inhaled deeply, drawing smoke and chemicals deep into my lungs with a long hard draw. With the e-cig I find I take a long draw, but the draw does not need the deepness of an analog draw. Try again with a slow and steady lighter draw, holding the vapor in the mouth, until the end of draw, then take it into the lungs.
You will quickly find the cough goes away with this slight chance in technique. Just about every smoker who has tried my e-cig does exactly the same thing - deep draw and cough cough. Despite my warnings!
I also agree with the eGO recommendation (stainless is quite stylish) and I began and broke the analog habit with the ego, I have moved on to mods and still have my eGO, but do not tend to use it so often anymore, but it was the device that began my movement.
Good luck and please ask any questions you might have.

ripple got a reaction from Uma in Ordered My First Mod
I have an Ali'i (variable voltage) and I do love it, but I have some concerns about its ability to take an impact - i.e. dropping it! - and because I do travel and such that was a concern.
As a result I ordered a Reo Grand and go it last week and I will admit - I love it too. I suspect that you are going to love the woodvil. His craftsmanship is top notch and the Grand vapes very nicely. I just got home from a weekend get away and only took the Grand leaving the Ali'i home. I brought my eGo but never used it once.
I am sure you are going to love it.
As far as a picture, well this should help, but its easier to go check it out on his site reomods.com
While not the Bloodwood that egoluvr got the woodvil is on the left and the grand is on the right.

ripple got a reaction from kitsune in Nascar Sponsorship
While most of the news in here is FDA related but this is an interesting development I think. Most of us here think Green smoke is overpriced and underperformance products but this single race sponsorship seems like a pretty smart move to me.

Bell, who is known to NASCAR fans in the Camping World Truck and Nationwide Series, will pilot the No. 50 Green Smoke Toyota Camry in his first attempt to qualify for NASCAR's longest race on the sport's largest stage - the Sprint Cup Series.

"One of the world's signature televised sporting events, NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 is the ideal global platform to showcase the partnership of Green Smoke and T.J. I am pretty much the same with my sweet-vales juices, I rarely touch my other suppliers juices any more since building a sweet-capes inventory! Today's flavor of choice was/is green apple!
I got the star buckets latte as well on lady Ds recommendation and I am enjoying that a lot as well, heck I have yet to find one that I havent cared for from them.

ripple got a reaction from Uma in Long Time E-Cigarette Users
I haven't really thought about the long term plan, for now I enjoy vaping, perhaps more than I ever did smoking. The availability of flavors, the constant evolution are all things of interest to me. Perhaps I have always wanted some form of hobby as well and vaping is becoming, to a degree, both a habit and a hobby.
So while I would never say never, I can not say I see a strong likelihood I will stop vaping - but hey stranger things have happened

ripple got a reaction from Sharon in My New Bombshell Mod Arrived Today!
Sharon
Check out this thread and specifically my post in the thread about the math of volts and resistance.
If that makes sense then take the next step and understand that for an resistance is about the coil size of the atty, a LR atty has a smaller coil and this offers lower resistance, but when you pump more power though the smaller coil you run the risk of overloading it for lack of a better term and pop! Thats why for high voltage higher resistance is suggested, although that lowers the total power.
Go read that one, then read this post again and that should set you on a course for what you're struggling with, if you still need more help let me know.

ripple got a reaction from AimeeG in Artomizer & Lr Atomizer ?
Since I just learned more about this last night in chat I will add to this just because its new in my head. So your vape is depend on POWER which is the same as watts. So your battery voltage combined with the resistance of your atomizer determines your power or wattage when you vaporize your liquid.
So to put some math to this lets use Amiee's numbers and I will call it 2.3 for a standard
So your Power (watts) = Voltage squared / resistance
So for a standard atty on a eGo 3.7 volt battery the math works out to
X = 3.7 (2) / 2.3 which equals 5.95 watts
With a LR atty at 1.5
X - 3.7 (2) / 1.5 which equals 9.12 watts
With the higher wattage you are generating more heat thus warmer vapor quicker juice burn and the other elements discussed above.
Like I said I learned this last night in chat and I think when you get the chance to reinforce new knowledge in your brain - use it!

Thanks for coming back and providing the level of detail. I personally extent my apologizes for my post questioning your claim and authenticity.
I think you can see from Chris's reply he is a honest, professional, and stand up guy. I hope you would also understand that most of us have had nothing but the best of encounters with the VT Store and thus found it difficult to understand the nature of your post. It sounds like he replied to you in the same day you contacted him, which seems by most online businesses to be not only acceptable but exceptional.
For what its worth, while no doubt your day was horrible, and we can now better understand your perspective, from our perspective here came someone making public claims that seemed completely contrary to everything we knew to be true about the store. Hopefully you can see that our loyalty and defense of the VT store speaks to the quality of products and customer service we have experienced.
I am completely confident that once the situation has been assessed you will find Chris's responsive actions to be exceptional as well.

I can't believe a customer has to register at a forum before they can get help in returning the product.
I received the product today and it's all corroded!!!
I don't see anything on the store site that relays how to return the product, no print out return slip, nothing but to register here.
I won't be buying again and I do expect a full refund. Perhaps I should call my credit card company to deny the charge.
Absolutely horrible site, horrible product, horrible service.

ripple got a reaction from Mark in Is There Any Side Effect?
Of course none of us are trained medical professionals who have conducted detailed clinical studies so much of the feedback you have so far and will continue to get is anecdotal of course.
Like those who have replied before me I feel better, although I am a bit spend crazy, but even that feels good. So far several months in, based on what my body is telling me I feel better, I breathe better, my snoring has decreased (or so I am told) and my friends ask me to blow my vape exhale IN their direction. I also am more social as I am constantly asked about what it is I have there in my hand and what is that "smoke" I am exhaling that smells so good.
I have done some reading and there is only limited studies and materials available but based on research done decades ago on PG inhalation I am comfortable that this primary ingredient is well understood and considered largely safe since it is so common in other products.
I am curious why your message has such a sense of urgency?

ripple got a reaction from Tagsanstuff in Sweet Vapes Five Flavor Review
So I thought it was time to go ahead and add to the videos here - its my first ever so be kind.
I just wanted to say more than a post would allow so I did a quick (6 minute quick) video and then added a write up on the five flavors - enjoy!
The details
All Juices are 70/30 with 18 MG
With all five of these I found throat hit to be right around 7 or 8 out of 10 for me and plenty of vapor to boot. I think I am finding the 70/30 PG/VG blend to be right were I want to be.
Very Vanilla is described as a variation of French Vanilla and its lives up to the bill. If you enjoy vanillas I highly recommend giving this one a try. Its different, but in a good way, a bit stronger in flavor then classic.
Shamrocky Shake – great minty flavor with a cream taste that really combines well. Neither element if overpowering yet combined they blend nicely. Having tried my first ever shamrock shake from the arches recently I couldn’t resist giving this one a go and it just really hits the spot with a clean yet creamy taste!
Vanilla bean ice cream – YUM, it’s another nice blend of vanilla flavor which is more subtle then very vanilla with a cream flavor that lingers on the exhale.
Grape Soda – I really liked how clean and crisp this flavor is. Not too grape but enough that you taste it, but with a very fresh taste, almost light and refreshing. Its not what I thought it might be but better than I thought it would be.
Blueberry – I found this one to be just a bit underflavored, almost like it could have used a tad more flavoring but its right there on the border for me. The flavor is great I would just like a bit more. This juice was (well more accurately is) crystal clear juice. I know some prefer the lighter colored juices so I thought I would point this out.
Overall I am very happy with my entire order from Sweet-Vapes and plan to return for more once I use up some of this in house juice I showed in the video – must use it up first, or not!
**** Please remember taste is subjective, if you’re unsure as to whether you might like it order a sample size***

ripple got a reaction from egoluvr in Pg Or Vg
Well the P stands for Propylene glycol
While the V Vegetable Glycerin
Learn about Propylene glycol at the link below, it actually talks about the use in e-cig's.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propylene_glycol
You can find out more about the VG here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycerol
PG tends to provide more throat hit (TH), with less vapor, and VG tends to be the opposite, more Vapor, but less TH. Which is right tends to be a highly personal decision. I have personally played with several combinations that tend to be expressed in percentages PG/VG. I have tried 100/0, 50/50, 80/20 and 70/30. I am trending towards the 80/20 and 70/30 combos to get the best of both.
Hope that helps.

Still holding out posting in this thread until someone specifically asks me too --- well sort of!
I often view and post from the iPAD so I can not join the chat, I just see the red notification that 1 person is in chat - almost like its a taunt! BOOO
Anywho, I also participate in a forum related to my car and there is a LOooooong thread going about forum decorum and people griping about the words some choose in their posts. I have always subscribed to the theory that when reading forum posts really focus on what someone is saying rather than the words they type. It is so easy to miss an intended bit of sarcastic humor in a post. And like others, I speak much prettier than I type!

ripple got a reaction from Morfeeus in Direct Dripping/best E Cigs?
Hey there
So the Tornado is an branded "Joye eGO". You didnt mention if you have a tornado tank, or a standard one. The tank has the 1.1 ML clear or blue tanks that you fill up with juice, verse a cartridge that you saturate with Juice.
So a few things. the Tornado (standard) has a 510 atty, so any drip tip that works with a 510 atty works with the tornado. Also if you want to try out dripping, just take the filler out of your cartridge, remove it and drip into the atty, put the empty cartidge back on as a mouthpiece and you are good to go. I used this method for several weeks before I bought some drip tips.
If you have a tank model you only need to get a new 510 atty, and atty cover and drip tip, these will fit on the tornado (eGo) battery without any adapters.
As far as how you drip, go check out this video, http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/7308-how-to-direct-drip/
Let us know if you need more information.

Um, I am not sure that the Greensmoke is a KR808, but then again, I am not sure of a lot!
I thought based on the link below Greensmoke is a E9 and that is compatiable with an KR808D-2 (which is where my confusion sets in the D-2 part)

ripple got a reaction from Brian in Vapor Talk Store
One thing to be aware of - just because it looks the same and is called the same it might not BE the same. As with many products, knock offs and imitation products exist. I am not saying every other site out there is selling knock offs, I am sure they are not. But I am equally as sure that some are.
One of the great things about the VT store is access to the owner, he stands behind his store, the products he sells and the assurance that what you think you are buying is what you get.
I ordered my eGO back in January from the VT store on a Saturday afternoon. I received it on Monday via priority mail. The ship in 24 hours assurance is amazing in this industry. When it arrive a piece was missing - one email and I had a shipping notice for the missing piece within the hour.
In a recent internet interview I heard Christopher talk about why the VT store only sells juices that are pre-mixed and does not mix his own. The response impressed the heck out of me - the reason, that until he can have a clean room he will not mix his own. I can honestly say I hadn't thought too much about it before but it did get me thinking. I am ingesting these vaporized juices into my body - don't I want to know that the juices I buy are being prepared in a sanitary manner and not just mixed up in someone kitchen?
I guess what I am trying to say is that in an online world there is a lot of room for shady businesses and business practices. I trust the VT store, and its business practices, and for me at least if it means I pay a small premium (although I am not certain I am) I am willing to do that to protect myself and my well being.
One final note, there is another well known vendor that is quite popular - I prefer to not name them. I recently decided to order some bits from them. I pulled the order together and proceed to the checkout process only to notice that at the credit card page the all important httpS was not a secure page at all. This is basic online commerce in my eyes. I promptly closed the page and went elsewhere. Just a little heads up and reminder that in this budding industry it serves you well to use a bit of caution.
