What Makes An Lr Atty Go Wonkie?
Beans replied to ripple's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I've had that happen a few times with SR attys shorting one of my mods. Sometimes I can fix it by getting a safety pin and dropping the center pin just a smidge. It seems to work for awhile after that till, adjustment is needed again. Occasionally I think I have caused it by putting the condoms back on the Atty when I'm not using it. I think I tend to push too hard shoving the center pin up too high. -
I keep mine at about 80/20 PG/VG. It gives me enough vapor as well as plenty of flavor. It also wicks well in cartomizers.

Yeah Lovie! Congrats on the new toy!

That's wonderful! Welcome to VT!

Month 1 with my Reo Grand. Yes I know, everyone and their mother is doing reviews now and rarely are they worth the time to read. However I haven't really heard the Reo mentioned too often on VT and being the quality MOD it is I thought I should give my 2 cents and some tips. I hope someone will find it useful. First, just trying to buy a Reo tends to be a bit of a headache. You have to be very patient and check daily for the sale announcements, then if you can schedule your free time around the upcoming event you must be READY. You must have a pay pal account, account already set up with Reo Mods, the batteries and charger on order with another company since they only sell the MODS and quick fingers to nab the little box of your dreams. Once you have accomplished that, your all set. Shipping was fairly quick in my case but you must sign for your package. It will NOT be left at your door. Now for the Reo Grand......My first impression, it was big my hand and fairly heavy too. Now, I compare it to holding an eGo for the first time after being used to a real cig. You get used to it quickly. It's a solid piece of T6 aluminum. Should you be mugged it will work very well clubbing your assailant to death. The craftsmanship of the Reo is impeccable. From the smooth machining, the slide door design and window placement to the perfect anodization job, I can not find a single flaw. These simply don't break either. And yes, I have damaged my hard wood floors with it numerous times now. The button at the top is solid and secure, it locks easily by turning ever so slightly to the right. I really enjoy the button placement. It seems very natural to me, I guess because I was a thumb sucker so your essentially holding your hand in the same position. Talk about the pacifier effect. The best feature isn't the beautiful design, craftsmanship or it's durability. It's the ease of use. Prior to my Reo it seems that most of my time was spent topping off my Carto, flooding it and cleaning up the dribbles. Followed by cutting up paper towels so I would not be caught without, popping off the DT to make sure it was slushy (like 500 times a day) so I didn't get that terrible burning hit, fidgeting with the draw (Not all mods are created equal) and packing enough juice in little bottles that always seemed to leak and 2 or 3 extra batts when I leave the house. Now, I fill my 6ml bottle for the day, slap in a set of fresh batteries and vape. When the flavor changes I squonk the bottle(a gentle squeeze) take a quick draw to pull the juice up, throughly sluchifying the filler and vape again. I have never had a single burning dry hit or any misfires. When I leave the house I grab 1 set of batteries and nothing more. At first I was a little bored with the lack of fidgeting my husband so fondly called tying lures since my tackle box was always nearby, but now I can't get enough, it's simply devine. I'm not going into how it vapes. It works each and every time as it should. It can be used with 3-6 volt batteries which is great for me coming from a VV mod. The 6V with SR Boge cartos is simply a great vape. For me, this is the perfect MOD. I can't Imagine being more gratified with another PV than the Reo Grand, perhaps the woodville would be nice but for now I'm just concentrating on getting myself to the next Grand sale.

Hypnotic Mist by Flavor Art is one of the best around.

Wise choice! I've had my Grand for a little over a month and will not use any other PV again. Unless of course my REO dies. I'm using 6V batts and SR Boge cartos. Best vape ever, hands down. The AW RCR123A batts are fantastic! Good luck!

Hello and welcome to VT.

Hi and welcome Bug!

Nice, I was just thinking about winter driving. Nothing ticks me off more than not being able to smoke on my morning drive to work, I mean it just makes me Freaken Nuts! Every stinking day Id start my pickup extra early so I could defrost my windows enough to crack, but no matter how hard I tried, how long I would run defrost or how hard I would pound on the glass they won't budge, so I cures and spit all the way through my drive still pounding and praying. Haha now, it won't matter I can vape happily away with windows up. Bring on the snow!

My heartburn got so much better when I quit smoking. I still get it on occasion but not the daily nightmarish kind. I don't normally get the hiccups either but I wonder if vaping style can contribute in some cases. I've watched my mom vape, she leaves her lips fairly loose when she inhales, getting a ton extra air. Ive asked her why she does that she said its comfortable. She also complains about getting hiccups. Side note To cure bad hiccups, Drink a glass of water with a pencil in your mouth.

My Black eGo with a Boge 2.0 Carto, Red Swirley DT and something fruity and tart. My first mod is an OO but I think I'm going for a Reo Grand on Tuesday

Go to the Doctors. There is no way of telling what is causing it, it could be nothing and again it could be serious. Don't play with your health. Good luck!

Oh man, Your posting pictures of *****? IDK this IS a family forum I did mean CATS!
-
Not silly at all. I'm just not sure, but I'd like to know too. Have you tried an Atty on it?
-
Hi Johns, The infinity does not work with LR anything. When you buy it you even have to read and agree to the rules LOL. NO LR on the oo. It can blow the circuit board inside. The new "Pro" series doesn't have that problem. IDK Y.
-
PHEW..ya scared me, if the atty spikes or batteries over charge it can fry the circuitry. Just been lurking. Have a spectacular day!
-
For the love of God, Lovie NOOOOOOO don't do it! You'll kill your oo. <3

So I've been nervous and a bit curious as to what my DR would think about my vaping. He is a solid believer in Chantix and the cold turkey method. Will DR's never learn.... Anyhow as he walked into the room I boldly blurted out that "I quit smoking months ago" and as the shock and awe crossed his face. He asked how, since I have struggled for years..The e-cig I proclaimed, he looked at me and was suprised. I asked him his thoughts and apparently he is educated. He told me he likes the idea and that they seem to work but he would like to see more studies done to make them safe as possible. He believes them to be SAFER than smoking but not totally healthy. He said he just doesn't know about the long term aspects which is very much in line with my own opinion, but deffinately better than smoking. Yeah pat on the back for me! I do want to add a little of my own recent experience with nic addiction and the thought that it is about the same as caffeen addiction. I've been really sick since Monday and didn't vape at all for several days, until today. I could never have done that when I smoked. I have been in the hospital before with lung issues and carried my IV bag out side to smoke. Nothing before could come between me and my smokes. Now, it isnt an issue. I had NO cravings being without nic, I'm shocked as hell about it too. I normally vape constantly throughout the day and have never gone without before. I never had the craving or need. For me I think vaping is a motion addiction, it's all about the comfort not the drug now. More like a security blanket.

You know if cartomizers work well for you, just dedicate 1 Carto per flavor you have. I've started rubber banding my cartomizer to the btl of matching flavor recently. My cartomizers seem to last forever this way. Just an idea though. I have done ZERO research BC I love my set up but look into fluxomizers and clearomizers maybe that would be a viable option for you. Also map tanks, but I'm not sure an eGo would support that kind of abuse lol. Attys....still no help sorry.
-
The cartomizers really don't leak. If you are looking at that hole in the top.....Don't be put off. The filling inside holds the juice for you and doesn't easily give up the liquid. The hard tops are (as far as I understand) an older version of cartomizers. The soft tops are just easier to get in and out. Infact most cartomizer users chuck the cap and incert a drip tip for much easier use and comfort on the mouth and lips. I will suggest the Boge 2.0 ohm cartos that can be found most anywhere but VK always has great prices if your willing to buy bulk. Honestly cartomizers are the only thing I use and serve me beautifully. Leaking only occurs when you OVER fill, and starting off you will most likely overfill anyways. The condom method of filling works great as well as a needle if you want to go that route.
-
No worries this time of the day is rather slow here. I think most are working at the moment. As far as attys, I'm no great help. I'm a die hard cartomizer girl myself. The LR attys are the way to go or so I hear. I have heard lots of great things about the Joye 510's but can't comment further. I would suggest a drip tip instead of carts though. I'm sure some dripper will be along shortly to help. Good luck and if you want to know about cartos I can help BTW you can drip with any Atty on any of your PV's as long as the threading is the same.
