  1. That's part of buying a mod in some cases. They become popular, and supply cannot keep up with demand. I guess that could be a good thing- as it's a wanted product. I know there was at least one person on this forum that has one for sale. You might want to pop into the chat room and see if you can get any info there. Otherwise- good luck. I hope you get one someday soon!
  2. You might have an empty cartomizer. You may have gotten a bad cartomizer also. If it's heating and getting hot, you should be getting the vape if there is juice in it. Pre-filled cartos can be hit or miss, and they are usually not equal to a pack of analogs. If you smoked a pack a day, you would likely need to change or refill that carto more than once a day. Also try taking slower, long drags to make sure you aren't cooling the atty too much when taking a drag. I'm still pretty much a noob myself- so others might have better ideas. As far as the new model..... Consider the long battery life and versatility that the joye ego provides. Or the same product with a different brand would be the volcano inferno (which comes with a 1000mah battery and PT 650 mah battery). Then there is the Riva 510 at liberty-flights.com, which is a knockoff of the ego- but with a coupon code, it runs about $37.50. All of these options will give you a far superior vaping experience IMO. RE: Big hits w/ burn.... Make sure your atty's are LR (low resistance). This provides a warmer, throatier vape and is supposed to simulate high voltage vaping. LR 510s are great- but I'm really getting spoiled on the 306 LR's the last couple of days. Very warm cannon of vapor. IF you decide not to direct drip, you can also get LR cartomizers and TW has the LR tank atty out now too. There is also the MAP tank, which a lot of people are raving about. OR you could start off big, and get one of the various HV mods being sold. While there are a lot of great options- I don't think you can go wrong starting with an ego/inferno/riva, LR atty's and a few bottles of good juice. Hope this helps, and welcome to VT!
  3. Enjoy it! Then let post here if you have any issues or questions. Watch a vid or two while you wait for the mail. Welcome to VT!
  4. Volcanoe-cig.com sells a rebranded ego-T , but the "T" part has nothing to do with battery life, it just means it's the "tank" system, which holds 1.2ml of juice. The kits they sell do include the 1000mah battery, which should be good for around 12 hours of good vaping. I'm not sure which MG of nic juice would be good for you- but give it a go at 16-18mg and see how you do. It will likely suffice. I'm a big advocate for the LR (low resistance) atty's- you might want to find an atty in LR for that TH you like.
  5. That makes sense. I vaped consistently all day to stay away from the 2 ppd habit. Obviously, not everyone needs to do that. Glad it is working and that you are loving it! ...that's all that counts.
  6. Vaping is a different animal from smoking. While I did share a lot of juice, I went through close to 60ml in my first 20 days or so. It's evening out now I'm guessing. (hard to tell with so many bottles of juice types going through the atty) 1.2ml a day doesn't sound that high to me at all, and if it's keeping you off the analogs- vape on IMO! Gotta love it!
  7. I think these some of these points are mentioned in almost every "what should I get post", or at least I found these answers here at VT before my first e-cig arrived and knew I'd be sending it back. Thanks VT! You mentioned a lot of points that most people don't realize when they go to try their first e-cig and decide on the pref-filled truckstop/bloog/greensmoke category. It happened to me too. Live and learn- right? I wouldn't suggest those to anyone unless they were a very casual smoker- as I know how disappointing the whole package is in general to heavier smokers.
  8. Do you get constant juice coming out the top like I do? It's either that, or they are going empty for me. It always seems to run out into the battery from the bottom too. Other than those two issues, my cartos seem to be fine for around 1/2 an hour of vaping or so.
  9. I was waiting for this review. Glad it is working for you! ....My second t-atty (replacement) should be here this week.
  10. I would've said it was the clove, as I've never had numb tongue or lips on 24mg nic juice ever. Interesting.
  11. The ego tank atty for me has been a disappointment. If it ends up working for you- great! I have LR cartos- and the taste is much better, as well as the vape, and warmth of the vape vs. the tank. I mostly direct drip on an LR atty- and that's what I'm trying to replicate in any tank system. Ego tank atty at SR fails to give me that good vape. So yes- IMO- you might have a better experience with a cartomizers than the ego tank system. -yet it works well for others.
  12. I didn't like mine either. Sent back the atty and hoping the new one will work better. I doubt it. My brother uses the t-atty and is happy with it. I don't like the SR hit vs the LR atty I primarily use. It seems like you really have to pull on them to get a hit, and it's not an LR vape- so I say "bah" to the ego tank system at this point. I'm sure someone will take them off your hands. Put them up in the classifieds here if you haven't already.
  13. The button is safer than the auto switch, which can be falsely activated easier I believe. You'll get used to it. You may not get used to having dead batteries so I'd suggest looking into something that is a bit more robust. Check out the ego, volcanoecig or riva for something that you can go all day with on a battery (1000mah battery comes with the volcano inferno, tank, etc). It's typical to get sucked into the normal thought pattern of "this is what I need", but few initially realize that they will be more happy with long battery life and performance over a cigarette looking device that has pre-filled cartridges and poor battery life. There are a lot of ego owners in this forum and you won't find many gripes about the product. That's my two cents. For what it's worth.
  14. See if this helps.... http://e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/95728-tutorial-juicebox-around-8-a.html
  15. Boba's bounty, vt dulcis, vt grape. ...I don' t know if I'll find an all day vape. It seems I appreciate my favs better if I mix it up. But I do know that I'll stock the above juices as best as I can. I've also tried all of the vermillion river juices and they are clean. I could see one of these being an all day vape. ...just not sure which are my favs yet. Kentucky applewood and cherrywood are both pretty decent IMO. Awesome vapors has a sample pack of 10 3ml bottles for around $20 shipped- this is a great way to try more flavors. It's really hard to even suggest a flavor because of individual taste differences- but you can't go wrong with sample bottles. ...or at least if you do, it's a small bottle. Hope this helped somewhat. Good luck in finding your flavors!
  16. 1. how long have you been vaping: About 1 month 2. do you smoke anologs at all anymore: Not at all 3. how many years did you actually smoke analogs and about how much a day: 20+ years @ 1.5-2 ppd. 4. do you have any health concerns to vaping.. chest congestion, any coughing, sinus infection etc: Dry lips. Not a big deal to me. 5. Did you have any recurring health issues that went away because you started vaping: The coughing, weezing, morning phlegm are all gone. My chest feels good- no heart palpitations anymore. I just feel better. I am happy that I have a working alternative to smoking, and that I don't rely on burning chemicals for my nicotine fix. I'll also add that I've previously tried two different pills, gum, patches and hypnosis with very little luck. I started vaping at 24mg nic, and a month later I'm ordering 18mg for the most part. Going from up to 2 packs a day to not wanting any is nothing short of a miracle IMO.
  17. Bummer! I hate to jinx myself by commenting. I keep hearing stories about the PT- and I only have 2 batts. 5 days isn't a very good run!
  18. Did you leave home without your ego? They are portable ya know~ The urge will be there- but that is what the vape is for. Kills the urge pretty fast. I know my first two weeks I didn't put the PV down, went through about 60ml of juice in 20 days. I'm slowing it down a bit now. ...Don't forget to vape!
  19. Sounds like what happened to me after I got my t-atty and tanks for my inferno. I'm sending the atty back to TW for a replacement.
  20. The first few days were the hardest. I still have light cravings after a few weeks, but vape through them. It's good to not smoke 2 packs a day anymore! Try some different juices. Come into the chat room sometime and get more info and support. Vape through it! Hang in there!
  21. Welcome to VT Momala. I'm thinking that the cartomizers you have will have a plastic cap on the mouthpiece, when removed with a toothpick/paperclip/etc. - you should see the batting that holds the juice. If so, you can add juice (from a variety of suppliers out there) and refill your own cartos. They can also be washed out, dried, refilled and re-used. I don't know the specifics of your model, but they do sell blank cartomizers for most units that you can fill from scratch. If your prefilled cartos are as unsatisfying as others I've tested, you'll be glad you tried filling your own. There are also a lot of great pv's (e-cigs) out there that provide longer lasting battery time, or more versatility in your device in the way you feed it the juice. Poke around here and ask as many questions as you have- the people here are great help! Congrats on being cig free for 9 days! I'm not too far ahead of you- but it's a great feeling.
