  1. You are good to go on the ego batts. Vape on!
  2. Since I abhor cartos, I'd say you can't go wrong with direct dripping on a LR 306 or 510. You'll get the vapor and TH that you need with the right juice. The ego tank system was a huge fail for me for all the same reasons too... on both the sr and lr atty. While dd is inconvenient- it works the best, aside from a bottom feeder IMO. Good luck- and hang in there!
  3. I gave up on the t-atty and tanks. Sounded good- but when the LR t-atty didn't do the trick, I knew it was over. Direct dripping will have to suffice until I can get a bottomfeeder. Have you thought about a bottom feeder and an LR atty? ...seems that would do the trick for you and end frustration.
  4. AW IMR 18650 http://www.lighthound.com/AW-IMR18650-1600mAh-LiMN-rechargeable-lithium-battery_p_2797.html
  5. I have no plans on quitting the vape. If anything, maybe cut my nic down to 0 or 6mg someday. Maybe. Just glad to not be smoking finally -and that's all that matters to me. I love my vape! I'm not much more than a couple months in, but that's how I feel at this point. Did you start vaping at 0mg nic, or did you get juice with nicotine?
  6. I had to ask the crew in the chat room when I got mine. I was stumped with the black casing around the drip tip too. ...Make sure to blow the primer out of them, and good luck!
  7. It'd be nice to see more companies doing this type of disclosure. I have a feeling that it's not very common to have a juice lab of this caliber though. Makes me wish I liked the juice!
  8. Welcome to VT SKH! Once you find your perfect juice and perfect PV, it will be much easier. If you are on a standard res atty- make sure to upgrade ASAP. I prefer the 306 LR, or maybe a 510 LR atty- and can tell you that with the right juice, you will be vaping plumes of tasty vapor with great throat hit.. Of course, a battery that goes for 12 hours isn't a bad way to go either. The ego with a 1000mah battery is hard to beat unless you get a mod. Come on into the chat-room sometime and see what everyone is vaping on.

    ! Help !

Welcome to VT! Looks like you got some great advice above! Get a Reo Grand! ...I love my ego, but would really love a Reo Grand. We'll all be somewhat jealous if you do- I know I would.
  10. Did you buy it at the vaportalk store? If so- Chris will take care of you and make sure it works I'm sure. I know a lot of people here tried the cig/analog look-a-likes and went to the Ego/Riva/Volcano/Inferno style for better battery life and interoperability with accessories/attys. EDIT- I just re-read the post. I see that you did get them at VTS, and there is a post above mine with good advice.
  11. It is simple to refill, and so much more worth it to buy some juice samplers and direct drip on an atty. If you are looking for convenience, some like the cartos and certain tanks. I can tell you that he pre-filled I've tried are pretty bad, and I haven't liked cartos or the ego tank, even with an low res tank atty. SO- it does depend on what you want out of your vape- most options will provide pros and cons, -some options can just be a big list of cons. Direct dripping on a LR 306 FTW in my world. Liberty-flights does have 20% off, so you can pick up the riva kit for around $32.50 plus shipping. Good luck. Welcome to VT!
  12. Just an FYI- TW usa site shouldn't have the "out of the country" fee, AND the LR t-atty is going for $11.04. (link)
  13. I'm not familiar with your model- but It does sound like a dry atty. You may also wish to de-wick the atty, as the wick can give a burnt taste when it's gotten dry. There are vids and tips in the noob section here at VT- check those out. Welcome to VT- and good luck!
  14. Vent away! ...and hang in there Tags! Sorry for your loss.
  15. I have the perfect solution- A LR 306 atty! Ok- I'll shut up now since I don't have a solution for you. Cartos and I don't get along well. Good luck though Easy!
  16. Another Ego fanboy here too. I prefer direct dripping on a LR 510 or 306 atty. over using cartos, but would suggest grabbing both to try for yourself. Good luck- and welcome to VT!
  17. If all you are tasting is a burnt taste, it could mean the atty is dry, needs to be de-wicked and de-primed or both. A wet atty shouldn't be tasting burnt after de-wicking. I agree with the direct drip method- at least until you get the hang of that.
  18. Yeah- some vendors have a "oh- you don't like it? Tough!" policy. I can say first hand that Chris is an awesome vendor who will do what he can to make sure you are happy. Very responsive. Some of the other vendors might have lower prices- and they may also be less involved and helpful when it comes to customer service. I've experienced that end of the purchase elsewhere also. ...VT store rocks!
  19. No doubt vaping gave you a sexy mouth. Worked for me too! ...but I'm not claiming white teeth all of a sudden. It's all positive regardless. I'm going to check the mirror the next time I see it and and chime in appropriatly
  20. It's possible that you have to break the atty's in longer. I know I had a couple lr 306's that tasted horrible for the longest time. It was really hard to get through that, but once I did -they are awesome.
  21. RE: Questions: Should I order more of anything? -Try to get the LR tank atty. It burns a bit warmer, producing more vapor. -Toss in an LR 510 or LR 306 atty if you want to test out the direct dripping. I have tanks, cartos and atty's- and I primarily prefer DD thus far. Direct dripping should at least be experienced. How often do you have to clean an atty? -As needed. Blowing through it and draining the juice is a good thing to do every day or two. Some boil- I haven't. Some vodka soak, and while I have- the need hasn't really been there. Hot water soak and blowing out the leftovers seems to work well enough for me. How often do you have to replace an atty? -As needed. The first t-atty I bought was horrible and pretty non-functional after a 1-2 days. Atty's in general are a fickle thing. Some blow them in a day or two, while others have them last several months. Just make sure you have backups once you know you like the atty that you are using. How are their e-liquids, good? -Never tried them. Check out the reviews section here- or on other sites via google How's their customer service? Since I'm in Florida, I like the idea of ordering from them. -I've ordered a couple of atty's from them. One is being sent back, and I haven't had any communication issues so far. Can't comment further at this point. Someone else will chime in I'm sure. Hope this helps some.
  22. 3-4 drops when you direct drip should last around 5-7 pulls in your 510 LR- then fill again. You can taste, as you've noticed, when you need to put more liquid in. Some drops are bigger, so use these numbers loosely and re-drip when you feel it getting dry. Amount of juice consumed is different for everyone, and it depends on how much you vape. 3-5ml's/day seems in the ballpark for me, but it does depend on the atty also. (LR 306's seem to burn juice faster than when I do 510 lr) You may also be getting the primer taste lingering through- in which case, make sure you blow the primer out, dewick and clean your atty before break-in. Good luck, and welcome to VT!
  23. Great news indeed! It's nice to see some common sense too!
