  1. Here's a quick vid on how to disassemble and clean/replace the CE2 in your Storm Tank!
  2. I really do like my GLV2...and I've had better luck with my 2nd one. Still disappointed with a few things. I have had two GLV2's and my buddy has a GLV-mini. Neither of us recieved devices that were properly working upon delivery. That being said, Jay has always apologized for and fixed his screw ups...they just shouldn't happen this often. Take care! Looking for the next review!
  3. I'm getting ready to re-review the GLV2 for YouTube. I want to like it...but I've had such piss-poor luck with the GLV2 quality control. Jay rushes stuff out the door far to quickly, and overlooks little things. Schlitz, this a nice review, but I was hoping you wouldn't give him credit for not finishing the top-cap of the PV. Those wires are exposed and should not be fore safety purposes. It's a stacked battery unit...the design should have called for closing off of the wiring for added protection.
  4. This stuff is total YUM! One of the best tasting juices available. Wasn't thrilled about the performance of the 50/50 blend, but the flavor alone makes it worth a purchase!
  5. OK! Here's the new copy of the vid. I can't edit the OP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzSK8FkW_Uw
  6. Thanks! Let's hope YouTube makes my upcoming audio swap on this video nice and easy!
  7. Not only are we looking at the device...we're going to measure the performance under load and talk about WATTS! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNuNNtS2Vus Easily the best 5v mod I've owned. It's jam packed with features and will vape for days on end! EDIT: Looks like YouTube killed the audio if you play the video directly. I will re-render and re-upload tonight, but until then, you can view the video with audio at http://www.youtube.com/basilray If you play it from my channel, the audio will play. Otherwise, linking directly to the vid kills the audio.
  8. A nice smooth and subtle but sweet vape! In an all new shorter review format!
  9. Another sample I received from Juicy Vapor. A very clean Bavarian Cream...but didn't measure up to the long lost Bavarian Cream sample I received last summer.
  10. Screw calling Ghostbusters...they ain't gonna' help you with your PV! Call Juicy Vapor for Ecto-Plasma!
  11. I figured I hadn't tried a CE2 yet, so I might as well go big! Which was a good choice, as I'm liking the Storm Tank!
  12. Another option: soak it in Crest ProHealth mouthwash. Do that for about 15 mins to 1/2 hr, agitating it as you remember. This will actually break carbon deposits off the coil in my experience. That and mastering the dry-burn, and you'll get 4 to 8 weeks out of an atty (assuming its been dewicked).
  13. 1. LR vs Standard - The LR has a different resistance in the coil (the portion of the atomizer that actually heats up to produce vapor). This means that the atomizer needs less power from the PV to create more watts of heat. You will get a warmer, thicker, and tastier vapor in most cases. Of course that is a pretty gross generalization. It will depend a lot on the type of device as well as the atomizer and juice. You will typically get more throat hit from this type of setup as well. Keeping in mind the greater amount of heat generated in the vaping process, the less flavor you will get. No matter what the physics say in terms of total watts produced, it is not the same experience as a true higher voltage device, in my opinion. But, it is a great step towards something more. When using an LR atomizer, do you want to make sure you are not using anything less than an eGo style battery or a mod that runs a Li-Ion battery. The LR's will consume more power from the battery, and can dramatically shorten the life of a Cigarette-style battery. LR's will work, but it will not be a great overall experience. 2. Passthroughs: There are a few different types. One of the newest out is the eGo passthrough. This employs a USB charging circuit in an eGo battery. Meaning, you can use it like a passthrough while it is charging. When done, you can unhook it and vape w/o the USB connection. There are other passthroughs that function this way, sometimes marketed as "sit-and-go". There are also passthroughs that have an inline battery that typically still require you be connected to USB power. As for voltage, there are only 2 types easily available (to my knowledge): 3.7v and 5v. For the sake of this discussion, I am lumping the eGo in w/ the 3.7v passthrough. Either voltage option will determine the type of atomizer (lr vs standard) that you can use. It is not advised to use a 5v passthrough on your PC for long durations. It has a big power draw, and it not a good idea for long term use. You also will only see about 4.2v of power on average w/ a 5v passthrough on a PC USB port. These 5v passthroughs are better served plugged directly into a wall. The benefit in a non-detachable passthrough is just having consistent power for vaping wherever you have a USB power source. Otherwise, the passthroughs that employ a battery for later use are great for those on the go with periodic access to a USB power source. 3. eGo Mega Atomizer - These are designed for use w/ the mega cartridges I believe. I am not sure on the resistance rating. I have never used one personally.
  14. Here's my $0.02: David from FSUSA once suggested that I leave the juices I ordered from him w/o the cap on overnight, to let them breathe a bit. My guess is that leaving the bottle open when you first receive it will give you the same effect. I now do this with every bottle of juice I receive. It cuts at least 48hrs off the steep time of juices that I used to know took 7 to really taste good. The shaking is always a good idea, to make sure that there is a more even distribution of whatever flavorings and thinners are in the juice. Ever seen a juice that started to separate? I have...and it looks weird!
  15. I would still suggest a Multimeter! They are really cheap and easy to use. You can get one shipped to your door for less than $6.
  16. Here's a link to the Multi Meter I use. It's not the fanciest, but at $6 shipped to your door, it's hard to complain. http://cgi.ebay.com/DT830D-Digital-Multimeter-Meter-AC-DC-w-9v-battery-USA-/280591915922?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415494db92 If you're unsure of how to use a DMM, I can gladly walk you through the process. It's really simple just to meter an atty. I have a vid floating around on VapeTV on how do meter one as well. But Col. Gaunt is correct, not all attys, especially LR, are made equally. You can have 2 of the same atty, and find they have varying resistance and build quality. Unfortunately, quality control has not been a priority for atty manufacturers. Outside of the Cisco LR's, I have not had consistent luck with any LR attys other than Eastmall.
  17. Jolly is correct. Your cheapest bet is a 5v passthrough that you connect to a wall plug. Anything else won't be an actual 5v. In my experience, there is a significant different between 5v and a 3.xv device w/ an LR atomizer. It's just not the same regardless of what anyone says and what the watts generated are. It's a different experience. I liken it to driving different cars. Your Mazda doesn't run like a VW which doesn't handle like a Lexus. But they are all cars. Ultimately, your choices of mods designed to be 5v are a bit more limited than others. My suggestion would be to try 5v passthrough connected to a wall plug w/ an SLB atty on it. In my experience, most SLB's I get have metered out at 3.0ohm which I find to provide optimal performance at 5v.
  18. The Cannon from Cherry Vape (available a few places) is the biggest 306 drip tip I would imagine. I know AvidVaper (home of the beloved Cisco LR's) has a new tip that is supposed to work for a 306 w/ eGo cone. You could check those. I can't imagine there are any effect from this atty any worse than hot coffee!
  19. Yup! The eGo passthrough is a great solution for someone who can't get a full day's use out of an eGo battery, but is usually near a USB port long enough to keep it topped off. Now, if they came out w/ a 5v eGo...we'd really have something to cheer for!
  20. I would totally agree. You can get a decent enough digital multimeter for about $6 shipped on eBay. It's going to be a piece of equipment you'll learn to love over time. PM me if you have questions about using one to test atomizers. I'd be glad to walk you through it or link some vids.
  21. I don't own one, but have seen one. I was extremely impressed with the build quality and just how durable it felt. It vaped great too!
