I have never liked ANY tea flavor I have gotten.....even though I like drinking tea. It is sort of like tobacco flavors to me....NONE of the tobacco flavors taste like real tobacco and none of the tea flavors taste like tea. Maybe it has something to do that they are both "leaves".....makes me wonder if there is some connection. all the tea flavors have tasted kind of dry and bitter to me. Yuck. Cappuccino is awesome. Some are better than others but never had one I would consider bad.

cool.....I have the KR808 version from cig easy....same specs as the Riva.....it too produces big plumes of vapor, which I don't really care about, but they can be fun to blow vape rings, etc. I love the rubberized button...which seems like a small thing but it is much more comfortable when you vape constantly like I do. Have fun. I have gotten everything from cig easy in two days, no matter what it is, including this elegant easy kit (which is what they call their riva-ish product). I am impatient, and I love that there is always a tracking number, LOL. I know, pathetic! I love the way mine looks too...it is brushed gold, really nice looking.

I too get migraines. I am sorry you are suffering. You do know that for a good week after removing anythin, that can aggravate them, like sugar, running (because it makes blood pump harder), caffeine, etc. that alone can cause a migraine....part of the withdrawal. Have you tried the immitrex ihaler? I love it....it works MUCH faster than using the injections and you can't vomit it out of your system like the pills, since it is absorbed very quickly into the blood via inhalation. That was the main reason I started using it because I would be so sick to my stomach so using any pill form would make no sense. I wish all my meds were available in inhaler form! I haven't had any issue with nicotine and because there are SO many things that can cause them, I just won't take years of months at a time to try and eliminate things one by one, go through the withdrawal, then see if that was really the reason. I will say that when I did aerobics and running and things like that when I was younger, THAT was when I had the biggest issues with them......and also when I am nervous or upset, because all those things increase blood pressure. Normally I run a VERY low blood pressure, but I can ALWAYS tell when mine goes up, still considered low, but high for me,.....I can tell because I get bad headaches and since I can tell they are the start of migraines I use an inhaler. They are one time use things. My insurance co pay is super low for a big box of them. They have worked for me and I like them because I can also just keep one in my purse in case I need it when I am not home. So I am PRETTY sure that mine are for the most part blood pressure/adrenaline related....not that it is ever high in the typical sense, but it is higher than my normal super low BP. Anyway, I try my VERY best, even when upset or nervous to try and stay as calm as I can and breathe deeply and do whatever I can to NOT let my BP go up. I know the nic doesn't elevate my BP, or at least not to where it would start any headache because I have smoked and vaped and taken my BP before, during, and then after at specific intervals. My dr had me do this to see if that was raising my BP. I think I smoked for SOOOOO long (30 yrs) and so much (2-3ppd) that my body just was totally used to the nicotine. It can't hurt to reduce the nic, or use 0, so you can see if it makes a difference. If you cut down to nothing suddenly expect to have some migraines or headaches though for the first several days, at the very least, ....while your body is withdrawing from the nicotine. EVERY time I tried to stop smoking cold turkey I was violently ill with migraines. I think i would step down the nicotine. But if it is from the nicotine it should really not be any different than when you smoked....nicotine is nicotine, and the delivery method I don't think would have any bearing on it. I almost wonder, since I have read repeatedly that there is MUCH less nic delivered via vaping if maybe withdrawal from it is part of the issue....if you are using a lower nic than what you were getting smoking and not vaping it to the point your body is accustomed to. So if you remove the nic totally it will be awhile once you get to 0 and then not using it for awhile to tell. BUT also most people who have migraines have NUMEROUS triggers.....it is rarely just one thing that causes them if you suffer from them. There is NO rhyme or reason to mine at all, but definitely certain things i KNOW are triggers....the elevated BP caused by stress....is one I KNOW for me. But there are obviously other things since I get them at other times when I am not stressed. Everyone in my husband's family suffers from them as well....my husband is the only one of 3 brothers and his mom who smoked and now vapes....all the rest of them are non smokers and they have violent migraines....to the point that his oldest brother had brain surgery last year at Loyola to try and help stop them. He has participated in all kinds of clinical trials and other stuff too, that is how bad they are. So sometimes you just don't know the cause of them....it can be a genetic problem. If nicotine is a trigger for you, I would think you would have known that when smoking because you get so much more of it. Of course it can be the opposite by removing or reducing it. Another common trigger is bright lights, sunlight, any kind of flashing light. And computer monitors can also cause them. I can't be on the computer if other surrounding lights aren't on, I also can't watch tv in the dark, or movies in the dark. Like at a theater I have to keep going out because of it.....because of the contrast between light and dark. Consuming too much or too little of various stimulants that your body is accustomed to in certain levels. And sometimes it is absolutely NOTHING you are personally doing...as is the case with my brother in law. He too has them for weeks at a time, losing LOTS of weight from the constant vomiting, and then the vomiting causing pressure in the head all on its own keeps it going....like a horrid vicious cycle. The triggers vary widely from person to person and some people never know what theirs are, because it can be so many different things, and the combination of different triggers. Sometimes you can't even eliminate the things because they are nothing you are actually doing or causing yourself. I hope you are able to figure it out.....I think most people aren't which is why there are numerous medications and treatments for them. I have been hospitalized repeatedly because of the freaking things....from vomiting, not even being able to keep water down and being totally dehydrated, which can also cause horrid headaches. Migraines are VERY complicated and sometimes very difficult to figure out, especially when there are numerous triggers. Good luck!!!

Does Vaping Cause Sleeping Issues.
juliery replied to michealprater's topic in Vaping Health & Safety
No problem, glad to help any way I can. I am with you on the stress/smoking like a chimney thing. One time I smoked 5 packs of cigs in ONE day and I don't mean 24 hours, I mean like 12 hours, when I was freaking out over something....NEEDLESS to say it involved my husband. Also the reason I could NEVER stop smoking....the stress relieving aspect of it.....I KNOW I was TOTALLY a nervous smoker, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Just try a tea or warm milk or anything in the evening that might help you relax...or wine as Sharon suggested. Stress is absolutely the worst thing as far as sleep for me. That adrenaline starts pumping and ugh, awful!!! And it never fails, an ex knows EVERY button to push without even trying!!!!!! -
THAT figures.....I would just keep calling around....what about Radio Shack or a place like that??? Although we have run into TOTAL idiots at that store. It is amazing to me how little they know about their own merchandise and how employees REFUSE to ask another employee who knows more. Customer service REALLY stinks sometimes!! I hope you are able to find someplace to get a stupid battery....really ridiculous. Try a high end sporting goods place too, in case they have them for flashlights or some other equipment.
-
me too, although now I am using 80/20 PG/VG in my cartos, no problems. I do not like the flavor of 100% VG, and with the thickness, even 50/50 takes a long wait to soak down into the filler. But I just don't like how sweet it is, ESPECIALLY in flavors that are already on the sweeter side. I only use cartos, no direct dripping, no carts, nothing else. I had gotten a freebie of 50/50 and I had to keep like trying to stab the filler to get the liquid to absorb.....OR using top fill, I had to stand it on end and let them stand there for hours....>THEN after all that I hated the sweetness, LOL. So ended up washing it all out anyway. I am liking the 80/20 ONLY because of the increased vapor and apparently the 20% isn't enough to wreck the flavor for me.

Don't know where in DE you are but in Dover there is a place called Battery Warehouse, could try there.....324 Martin Street, Dover, DE (302) 674-4020.....if they don't sell them or aren't near you they may be able to suggest a place. Here Batteries Plus has them, but it appears that chain is not in DE. Also, apparently those batteries are used in flashlights, so perhaps that could supply leads? Like maybe a place like Sportmart or ****'s Sporting Goods, etc would be worth checking?

I have had PTs from several different vendors.....have had them die as fast as a couple days, and right now I have one that has been around almost a month, which is the longest ANY have lasted. I wrote several vendors and the warranty is generally nothing longer than 60 days, and most a LOT less. A couple of them have said with heavy use they should last around 3 mos, and average use is 6 mos. NOTHING to do with any weak point....they just stop working but NOT because of anything with the wiring. Don't know why they die so fast, I had thought they would last LONGER than batts, but nope. I really don't understand it. But seems that they are not expected to last long with regular, all day type use. I have read the same types of complaints on pretty much every vaping board I have found. Jolly is making us two PTs that he says WILL last MUCH longer than anything I could buy from China, so we will see.....they also look totally different...like a box type shape, not a stick style. I really don't care if it was shaped like an elephant.....just that it works for some reasonable amount of time. I could deal with 3-4 mos....but a week, less than a month to me is ridiculous. So far from like 10-13 PTs (both mine and my husband's....his all died too in under a month) we haven't had ANYTHING happen to any wire or anything that electrical tape would have aided with. So far I haven't talked to anyone who has had one last beyond 6 weeks....with daily use. Some days I NEVER use a battery, as my laptop/netbook is right next to me when not in use, so I vape on the PT and NOTHING else. I don't get it, but then I don't really understand exactly what is inside a PT that may be causing the issue. OH and manual, auto, has made absolutely no difference. EXCEPT the one I am currently vaping on.....it is almost a month old, by far the longest life span I have had.
-
I just googled that, which you should do using your city and state, and here Batteries Plus carries them. SO if you have a similar type chain, they probably sell them too. I just put in "retail store 18490 or 18500 batteries (my city state)"

Does Vaping Cause Sleeping Issues.
juliery replied to michealprater's topic in Vaping Health & Safety
Can't hurt to try.....I can't use even the 24.....nothing to do with sleep, it just kills my throat something terrible. I use 16-18mg. I guarantee though that if I was nervous, etc. it wouldn't matter if I wasn't smoking or vaping at all.....I wouldn't be able to sleep properly. For one thing I dream like all kinds of stupid stuff, and if THAT doesn't wake me up, then being nervous and not really being in a deep sleep wakes me up. Or some sound or anything could wake me up....even more than I normally wake up. There is NOTHING like nerves to ruin sleep. BUT maybe the lower nic would help, or at least not make matters worse for you. UGH, my husband wakes up at 4 and VERY rarely can I sleep through that. If he isn't making noise or bumping into the bed or some other thing, just all the rustling around I can hear. Then other times, you could drive a freight train through here and it wouldn't bother me, LOL. The littlest thing can mess with sleep. -
Here they have seatbelt checkpoints, or safety checkpoints, set up all different places, whenever they want and you will be directed off the road and issued a ticket for not having it on when approaching the checkpoint. Here they CAN pull you over for anything they want, BUT usually you are not pulled over for only that reason. That is just usually an extra violation on top of something else, not the main violation. So it isn't that they can't pull you over for it here, it is more that they just usually don't pull you over for just that. That also varies though from town to town. Some of the towns all over the Chicagoland area have ticket quotas, so near the end of the month, when officers who haven't yet issued enough citations, they will pull you over for the tiniest thing, including not wearing your seatbelt. It just really depends on the municipality and for that matter the particular cop. Like there is no quota here, but the town directly west and a bit north, they do have one and that town is KNOWN for being a place you DO NOT want to speed or not be wearing your seatbelt, etc. There is no helmet law here on motorcycles either. Not for drivers or passengers, regardless of age. I found this "Apparently what happened was that in 1968, Illinois put in a helmet law like all the other states (except California), but when the statute was challenged in court, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled the law an abuse of the police power, and therefore void because it was unconstitutional. " But I guess it is NOT unconstitutional to have a seatbelt law in automobiles. SO stupid. I wear my seatbelt all the time, but I do think it is totally ridiculous that I am legally required to do so. It should be entirely up to me, as an adult, whether I want to wear a seatbelt or not. All these sorts of laws are totally idiotic. You need certain laws because they involve OTHER people....such as speed limit laws, but things like seatbelt laws or helmet laws are ridiculous. THINK of the money that could be saved by NOT wasting time on all this needless nonsense. Regarding the e cig, I wouldn't even care if I couldn't use it in public places, even though I do NOT believe it infringes on anyone else. I have read accounts where SUPPOSEDLY some non-vaper had some violent allergic reaction when being near exhaled vapor. I don't believe medical attention was required. So big deal, if I just didn't like what you are doing, I could start coughing and gasping for air and have a "reaction" to your expelled vapor too. I could claim it bothered my throat and nose and whatever else. Doesn't mean it is true. I would think that if ANYONE had that kind of reaction to a chemical that is already in most day to day environments, they must have a hell of a time just cleaning a toilet or bathtub, for that matter using a baby wipe since there is PG in those too. BUT if until it is STUDIED they want to apply the smoking laws to vaping, that really wouldn't bother me. I would think it was stupid, BUT that is better than banning it. But of course, again, it has nothing to do with safety. AND IF e cigs are banned, then tobacco should be banned at the same time. How on earth ANYONE could justify banning e cigs, BUT NOT banning cigarettes at the same time, WHILE keeping a straight face, and CLAIMING an e cig ban has ANYTHING to do with a concern over health and/or safety just boggles my mind. It is so beyond idiotic it defies ANY kind of logic whatsoever. BUT of course this has nothing to do with logic, nor health or safety. It is ALL about money. Disgusting.

I am best at speaking it, although through childhood and spending entire summers there, most of my conversations were with other kids my age, cousins, friends, etc. So obviously the vocabulary of a child and teen is somewhat different than an adult. But usually, say I can't recall the name of a disease, I could describe it, or symptoms well enough using the vocabulary I do possess that then the person will know what I mean and I slap myself in the head and say "ach, ja"!! I can speak it well enough that I can hold conversations with most anyone, normal social type conversations that is. I DO screw up the der, die, das and the forms of them, and words like dieses, diesem, etc. but most people are pretty forgiving of that and of course they still know what you mean anyway. I talk to my cousins on the phone as well as a few friends and also I insist on them WRITING to me in German, because even if I can't write back a big long thing in German, I still keep the language in my head and expand my vocabulary by seeing the words. I can speak it conversationally, I can read almost anything, except for like say technical type text or like something with terms that would be associated with a field of knowledge I don't possess. But like an email from people I know or novel type book, no problem. Writing is what I do least well.....it is strange, like speaking I keep the words in the correct order, but somehow when I write, sometimes it just doesn't LOOK right, even when it is. My mom also has a friend who lives about an hour from here....they are both from Bremerhaven, went to school together and I am in regular contact with her, and her husband who is also German. My first husband's father is also from Germany, southern part and he LOVED that I could speak German because his wife can't and none of their 5 kids can speak as well as I can. In fact, I just saw him a couple months ago and we spoke in German, and you can tell how much he loves that, funny. I guess it just reminds them of "home" even if just for a few minutes.

Does Vaping Cause Sleeping Issues.
juliery replied to michealprater's topic in Vaping Health & Safety
I am glad it helped you in some way. There is NOTHING that messes up my normal (although horrid) sleeping more than arguing or having stress with my husband, let alone an ex....but really any issue with parents or anyone. Mostly because I can't stop thinking about it, running it through my mind, etc. If you are ANYTHING like me, then that may very well be the bulk of the problem. BUT you could still try vaping a liquid with less nicotine like say starting 6 hours before you want to go to sleep, like late in the evening. When I am super tired I can fall asleep like instantly.....but like you said, STAYING asleep is another matter. Can't hurt to try. Plus if you are stressed or anxious, then maybe reducing the nicotine will help....even if it isn't the cause, at least it wouldn't be adding to the issue. BUT then try to pay attention that you aren't vaping more BECAUSE of the lower nic...that would sorta defeat the purpose, LOL. My thinking is that it never hurts to play around and try. If it doesn't work you haven't lost anything and can still vape the liquid anyway, assuming it is a flavor you like. BUT you COULD be waking up from your body craving the nicotine, but then I would think that would have happened while smoking too. Have you tried vaping when you wake up? Because then if that is the issue, then vaping would help the issue. I know vaping in the middle of the night, repeatedly actually, doesn't keep me awake. I just wake up constantly because I have to change position because of pain, but then sometimes I am so uncomfortable from however I had been laying that I can't go back to sleep right away because of the freaking pain, so then if I am awake I am vaping. Anyway, I would try different things and see if or what may help. If you are waking up anyway, I doubt the situation will get much worse. I hope you find something that works, or your ex stops causing stress and the whole thing stops!! Good luck! Have you tried maybe an herbal "sleepytime" type tea or anything? That might help.....never know. -
REALLY??? In chat people were raving about the waffle being so great!! Not from vapor renu but just in general from various places. I guess like everything else, it is just a preference. On a couple liquid suppliers it is supposedly a bestselling flavor, which of course just means they have sold a lot....doesn't mean it is used or that they are repeat purchases. I have bought lots of stuff and only tried it and hated it, so if that just goes into a sales count, it is meaningless.

Does Vaping Cause Sleeping Issues.
juliery replied to michealprater's topic in Vaping Health & Safety
I wake up every hour, has nothing to do with vaping, it has to do with chronic pain. My sleep habits are absolutely no different now than they were when I smoked. My husband vapes the most after work, in the evening and falls asleep literally within a minute and is snoring within a couple minutes, same as ever. When I used the NRT patches, THAT was an entirely different matter.....I did have VERY vivid dreams, although not naughty, they were just much more "real" seeming and I woke constantly. I do have more trouble sleeping when I am upset or nervous...naturally, from adrenalin, when going through anything stressful, or like at times when we have moved, I believe all from the same issue, being excited in general. But no, I haven't had any issues with any change in sleeping habits since vaping. I found this regarding the patch..... "Sleep disturbance almost always occurs in people who use the twenty-four hour patch. Since your mind is unaccustomed to receiving it while asleep, nicotine can cause strange effects, including vivid, colorful dreams and difficulty sleeping. Switching to the 16-hour patch helps avoid this problem, but it often can leave the user craving a cigarette when they wake in the morning." This is from the American Heart Association regarding smoking....keeping in mind that supposedly there is far less nicotine inhaled during vaping..... "How long does nicotine stay in the body? From 85–90 percent of nicotine in the blood is metabolized by the liver and excreted from the kidney rapidly. The estimated half-life for nicotine in the blood is two hours. However, smoking represents a multiple dosing situation with considerable accumulation during smoking. Therefore, it can be expected that blood nicotine would persist at significant levels for six to eight hours after smoking stopped." So realistically, if that is true, I can't see how vaping could cause any more of an issue than smoking. IF NOTHING else is different in your day to day life, nothing that would be causing excitement, nervousness or stress and the ONLY thing different is the vaping, then I would lower the nicotine. If there is a cumulative effect smoking nicotine, I would think it would be similar vaping it as well, so I don't think lowering it just before sleep would make that much difference. Because I wake up so frequently all night long I usually vape during the times I am awake, especially if I am awake for like 10-15 minutes. However, once I am comfortable again I fall right asleep. I used to do the same with smoking....I would smoke when awake at night. But I smoked for so long, and so much, that I can't imagine I could possibly be getting any more nicotine while vaping, so maybe my body just totally isn't affected by the nicotine. During times I quit smoking and used NO NRTs I didn't sleep any differently. I have no problem sleeping after drinking coffee either though. I think my body is just totally accustomed to the stuff. Anyway, I would suggest cutting down on the nic level. Trying to cut down on the nic certainly won't hurt anything. -
I don't know if you know all this, and didn't see it mentioned....PG is propylene glycol and is considered a safe product, used for decades in various things that you use every day. VG is vegetable glycerin. PEG is also used in some liquid which is polyethylene glycol, a non toxic compound it is generally used as a food addictive, and many pharmaceuticals. All three are humectants which is anything used to keep another substance moist. A person can be allergic to any of them, and any of the three can cause drying of the throat. Plus it might not be a true "allergy" but merely a reaction to the level of whichever one you are sensitive to. And of course you can also have no reaction to any of them. They are all considered safe and they are very common in many things we use and consume daily. Some people say the PG dries their throat, others say the VG dries their throat. Neither one of them has ever dried my throat and I don't consume more liquids than I did before. When you first vape and experience dry throat, who knows what it is really from....maybe it is something to do with not smoking? Or maybe it is just merely something your aren't used to inhaling, as I have also seen numerous people say that after vaping a few weeks any dryness went away. The only issue I ever had was when I vaped nic that was 24 mg....really bothered my throat, like that raw feeling you get right before getting a really bad throat infection. But vaping 16-18 mg I have had NO problems at all. There are just so many things you have to sort of figure out when you first start out, as far as any issues because it is sometimes hard to figure out the cause of something when you aren't used to using the particular stuff,....like exactly which thing is causing the issue, or is it really ANY of them? Personally I don't care for VG because it adds a sweet taste and I don't care for how it affects the flavor of the liquid. Like if you buy the exact same liquid in all PG or all VG, the VG is much sweeter. Also, VG is usually thicker, I will say that I have 80/20 liquid from other vendors that is MUCH thicker than 100%pg liquid I have. But the 80/20 from VR is no thicker than the all pg I have from other places. So I don't know if he does anything or uses some different VG, who knows. Obviously if I had a problem with PG and not VG, then I would deal with the way it affects the flavors. Anyway, I hope this helps you. If you look on wikipedia you can find good explanations/definitions of each one of them.

LOL, so funny! My mother is from Bremerhaven, so we spent every summer there as children. Then of course I took German all four years of high school. I can speak and read German much better than I can write it. I have a friend who lives in Holland, near the German border, she is fluent in 5 or 6 languages. So when we talk we speak what we call "Deutschlish"......a combo of German and English intertwined. Mein Schreiben auf Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut. Ich weiß, dass manchmal ich Wörter nicht in den korrekten Auftrag einsetze. Haben Sie einen schönen Tag!

I agree....Vapor Renu's flavors are great, the prices are AWESOME, and the customer service is outstanding. I understand about the shaking...I have MS, I have a lot of problems with my hands shaking but I refill my cartos. I too use the KR808's, and I have the elegant easy from cigeasy too. I got over using the batteries that are the stick style only because I could use them up in 45 minutes, so even with two chargers and 6 batteries, I was constantly using the batteries and getting to the last one before the first two would be recharged. Anyway, it is REALLY not bad to refill cartos, which is why I use cartos vs direct dripping or messing with an atty, etc. I don't know that I have ever seen prefilled cartos available in 100% VG, but then I don't like the 100% VG so I never looked. But I DO know you can get the liquid from Vapor Renu for FAR FAR less than anywhere else, including V4L and the flavors are mixed to your specifications whereas V4L is just selling premixed stuff. Vapor renu mixes to order, you aren't getting anything that has been sitting around, it is made in the usa. If you use the code "nujuice" you save 15% off the already super low price, and "renu" saves returning customers 10%. IF there is a flavor you want that you do NOT see on the list, or something you want combined all you have to do is write Jason and he will mix anything you want. Like I said, the customer service is absolutely the best I have ever encountered. So far my husband and I haven't gotten any flavors we don't absolutely love. It really is easy to refill cartos....even with shaking hands. AND it saves A LOT of money.

yes, they are rcr123's.....I only know that because I was looking up stuff because the wetbox Jolly is making me will run on two rcr123 batteries, so I was researching stuff.

Two of my kids get lots of nose bleeds during the winter, because of the dryness of the indoor air this time of year with the heat running, etc. SO if the vg or pg causes dryness that would make sense. They use a glycerine nasal spray or drops. They are very inexpensive and they keep it with them all the time. It is totally non medicated available anywhere they have nasal sprays, etc. Some of them are called nasal gel spray, which actually works better because it doesn't run out as easily. The store brand works just fine to help with the dryness. There is a dramatic difference when they don't use it. Anyway, that is an inexpensive, simple thing you may want to check into. I do not drink any more than I ever did and I haven't had any dryness issue. But of course, like everything else, everyone is very different in how things affect them. I know with my kids, the pediatrician said that people with nasal capillaries that are closer to the surface are more prone to nose bleeds, which makes sense. The only time my throat felt raw or irritated was when I tried vaping liquid with 24mg or higher nic. It really was uncomfortable after just a few drags/inhalations. I am totally fine with the 16-18mg, no issues at all. I don't care for the VG because of how it tastes, I don't like how it affects flavor.....I get the 80/20 pg/vg, just because that little bit of vg helps with vapor production. I have read a number of places that inhaling nic with an e cig only delivers 1/10th of the amount of nic as a drag off a cig, so that may be another reason we vape much more than smoked. 1/10th seems exaggerated because I sure don't smoke 10 times as much, not even in the beginning....I would have to be vaping 24/7 and never stop. I was a chain smoker and when I exhaled there was hardly any smoke visible because I inhaled so long and deep. But even if it was like say 1/2 the nic or anything less than a normal cig then it would stand to reason we would most likely vape more. I wouldn't doubt that it is true that there is less nic in the vapor....because right from the start I vaped more, even though I HATED the flavors we had. But I still vape pretty much constantly so it does make sense that the better taste just makes it a more enjoyable experience overall. We like it so we do it more.

Agreed.....I don't know why they have these supposed "experts" or "doctors", debating things they clearly are not well informed about. I went to more than a dozen doctors in the last 20 years and was misdiagnosed for nearly all that time. For years I was told I had fibromyalgia, premature arthritis, neuropathy, crohn's disease, that i was just nervous and making myself sick to my stomach, etc. About ten years ago FINALLY a doctor bothered to do a bone scan and I was correctly diagnosed with degenerative bone disease, but I was still told I had all these other various problems in addition. FINALLY this past fall, purely on accident, after bizarre blood test results, I was diagnosed with MS, after the blood test results finally got a doctor to take a closer look and order correct testing. My regular doctors all agree I have had it for at least 20 years from time of onset. Just because someone is a doctor doesn't mean they know everything about every topic or area. Maybe she has more expertise in some other area, but clearly her specialty is not her immense knowledge about e cigarettes. I will ask my doctors a million questions, I look up EVERY prescription they prescribe before taking it. I have learned over the years that just because someone is a dr doesn't mean they are right. Furthermore, half of all doctors graduated in the bottom half of their class.....EVERYONE isn't an EXPERT just because they are a doctor. Doctors misdiagnose ALL the time and the MAIN thing that is starting to change the tide is technology. They just have better diagnostic tools via technology to make more accurate diagnoses....not like THEY have gotten smarter. My mom on the other hand, doesn't ask doctors anything. She goes to several too for various problems and SHE will NEVER ask them if a new medication will interfere with another medication prescribed by some other doctor. Which RIGHT off the bat I wouldn't even GO to a doctor who doesn't make sure to know ALL medications I take regardless of source. My mom feels intimidated by doctors and says that "in her day" you didn't question doctors. I don't care, I do question them....if a doctor isn't willing to take the time to answer my questions, then I am not willing to go to that doctor. Just because someone has more, different, or better education than I, doesn't mean they are any more intelligent. They just may possess more information in certain areas, which is, after all, why we pay them....we are paying for their supposed expertise. But not all of them are equal, and obviously all of them are not equally informed, educated or knowledgeable in all areas. Anyway, clearly, this dr, woman, whoever she is, really didn't know much about what she was talking about. SHE should have left the set. I would be willing to bet she has NO clue what chemicals are really present in an e cigarette, NOR how they compare to the chemicals or levels of chemicals in a regular cigarette. The sucky thing is that many people ONLY get their info from the tv, or newspaper and do not research things that they don't feel directly impacted by. So then they form flawed opinions because of all the wrong information they have acquired. Then they are screaming in the streets to lawmakers that THEY may be contaminated, when in fact that isn't the case. Doctors that DO have more knowledge should at least TRY contacting these "news" reporters, to attempt to give them more accurate info. The fact is that we don't know what is in EVERY e cig liquid or prefilled carto, we SHOULD know....not so that we stop using the e cig but so we can make more informed decisions about which products we choose to purchase. Just like we compare nutritional info and ingredients on many other things we put into our bodies. Not to scare us away from the devices, but simply to make informed choices. There is NOTHING that is totally safe, but some things are safer than others and common sense would dictate that e cigs ARE safer than smoking....smoking anything, just by the virtue of the fact that we aren't clogging our airways with smoke and all the by products of combustion. Just my opinion.

I agree....about the price/quality thing. There are so many examples of it. Plus some people are into "name brands" and all that. I personally don't get it. Like my daughter, she is married and her husband comes from money. He bought her Coach handbags and Movado watches, etc. To me, I rather have a $50 handbag with $450 cash in it than a $500 handbag. A $500 watch? If it somehow kept better time, okay fine, but it doesn't, and really time is somewhat relative, depends if you are going by your employer's clock or the cable company's clock and so on. Nothing worse than paying attention to the time to turn on a show at a certain time only to find you tuned in 5 minutes late. So who knows what time it is???? Does ANYONE really know what time it is....yeah, i know, Chicago, thanks, LOL. As far as the descriptions, I don't really need a description of any of the flavors I saw on Flavor Renu....I mean, like Double Dutch Chocoate, I assumed would be like double chocolate, and yes, I would say it was. White Chocolate, I know what that tastes like too. NOW, I will say, with things like RY4 (which I don't even know if they have since I am not a fan of it)....I NEVER saw an explanation of what it was until AFTER I had ordered from numerous vendors and HATED it. It was always a bestseller and so I just figured it would be good. YUCK, hate it, at least everywhere I got it from.....well finally, much later I saw it involved caramel, I don't like carmellow or caramel or marshmallow or any of the SUPER sweet flavors, it just isn't my thing. I don't want anything bitter of course either, but I just like a nice definable not too crazy sweet flavor. But like blueberry waffle, I assume it tastes like blueberries and waffle put together. Like now I am mixing pumpkin spice with white chocolate and even sometimes cappuccino too. It tastes exactly like ALL three mixed together. Like maybe if you ever have had a Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake? Then taken a gulp of cappuccino at the same time? That is what it tastes like mixed together, only minus a few thousand calories, LOL. So I don't know, if a flavor is something that is not a "real life" flavor, then yes, I would want an explanation. But like apple and sour apple.....I expect apple to be sort of like a red delicious and sour apple to be like a granny smith. Flavors like "midnight" or "daydream" or things like that I definitely think require a description because midnight or some of these other things aren't actually "flavors" in the real world. So absolutely, those kinds of things for sure require explanation. Okay, so back to Flavor Renu and flavors, I am looking at the English Toffee, and Heath Bar....i would think the main difference would be in the chocolate because a heath bar is more milk chocolate where English toffee is more dark. Personally I would probably like both or either one. Leaning more toward he English Toffee.....I am also thinking I want to get Waffle flavor...I am thinking that could be GREAT mixed with the pumpkin spice, the white chocolate, the cappuccino and numerous other things we already have. It seems like that might be a nice neutral flavor to mix with others. What do you guys think? Anyone had it? I love plain waffles in real life, sometimes with fresh fruit....but NO syrup. So I am thinking it might be interesting. I guess for that price it is definitely worth trying. FOR SURE I have to get more white chocolate, OMG it is just TOOOOOOO good. I am throwing it in with everything, LOL. I am betting all the fruit flavors are good too. My husband is totally into the fruit flavors. I don't mind them, but they just aren't my favorite, BUT mixed with white chocolate or waffle, I think I might like them then. Hmmmmmmm, my little pea brain is ALL over the place now with these flavors. Just SO glad to have a great quality product for an amazing price. Oh, and Der....I have not even been on this forum for a month, which is probably why I never saw you say anything about VR. Oh, and the ego/riva thing, I totally understand. I know a lot of people think I am nuts with the using a KR808 device. I do NOT direct drip, I have zero interest in doing so, so IF I switched to another type of device I would still use cartos. I have literally HUNDREDS...MANY hundreds of 808 cartos, why would I toss those aside to switch to another carto??? that makes NO sense to me. Why, so I can use an EGO??? I have the elegant easy batteries from cigeasy.com which are like Rivas, only with the KR808 connection....750mah. The whole kit, two batteries, usb turbo charger, wall adapter, cone, 5 prefilled cartos (you pick flavor) plus 10ml of liquid (your choice of flavor) for $60, so why would I buy an ego??? They are only 600mah, so it would be like downgrading. Hell, if I wanted to direct drip I could just pull the filler out of a carto and do it anyway. I have health issues and my hands shake, sometimes severely, sometimes a little, sometimes not much at all (that is rare). But in general I don't want to be messing with attys or direct dripping for that reason. My husband works wiring up control panels that run giant machinery all day, so he couldn't be messing around direct dripping either. I don't think his employer would be happy with him direct dripping when he is supposed to be WORKING with both hands. They have no problem with him vaping at work though. Of course that is a here and there thing...he was a light smoker. Cigeasy also has the XXL elegant easy which is a 1300mah 808 battery. So I see no reasonable incentive to switch. Jolly is making us two custom mods, a wetbox for me, a wii mod for my husband, both with 808 connections. It will be a LONG time before all these cartos are used and I am not going to just pitch them to buy some other type of device. I know some people have multiple types of devices and buy lots of types to try them out. I have tons of medical bills, and 3 kids still living at home, so I can't justify spending money needlessly just to play around when nothing is wrong with what we have. We are totally happy with what we are using now. Can't wait to get those mods, THEN we will be THRILLED, LOL. Anyway, I totally get what you are saying. I never tried adding the additives so I didn't know if you could add just one to a flavor or everything or what. I still don't know if I will bother with it. I am sure it certainly can't harm anything and hey, if it has benefit, that is wonderful. Sharon, you cannot beat the price, THAT is for sure. Funny, in chat like a week ago Jolly was showing us a 120ml bottle of his favorite liquid and all happy because it was only $40, which is also a good price.....but we could get it for $32 from VR INCLUDING SHIPPING...so EVEN a better price! IF for some reason you do NOT like the liquid....WRITE JASON....he will TOTALLY work with you. I wasn't thrilled with the pumpkin in my first order....I had ordered pumpkin and pumpkin spice, because I wasn't sure what I would like. So obviously you can tell I talk, so I had written starting some discussion and he told me to let him know how I liked them. So I MEANT NOTHING by it and just asked if it was possible to buy whatever the "spice" part of the mixture was so I could just toss it in the pumpkin myself....that I just preferred the pumpkin spice. SO he writes back RIGHT AWAY and says with my next order to remind him and he will just toss in a free bottle of pumpkin spice to make up for not loving the pumpkin!! I COULD NOT believe it. I mean WHO ELSE does that????? I mean just because I don't prefer a flavor???? I mean, that is UNHEARD of great customer service. I am also really TRYING the flavors at different times because I have noticed, like with the DD chocolate, when I first filled the carto and vaped it, I thought "well it is okay"....the exhale really was chocolate tasting, but not so much the inhale. Well then I tried it again after a couple hours, it had been sitting, on end.....so THEN it was fabulous....REALLY chocolate. It smells GREAT in the bottle....so does the pumpkin spice....SO I am learning to give things a chance. I just vaped some more of the double dutch chocolate today and it just gets better and better. It is like the more it is absorbed the better it gets......probably WOULD be great direct dripping. Okay, I will shut up....I THINK I responded to everything, LOL!!!! Sharon....make sure you tell us what you think of the flavor(s) you ordered!!!! I will be sure to do the same!

After Buying Several Different Kinds Of Juice, Now I Ask Questions!
juliery replied to Sharon's topic in New Vapers Forum
I think they are both fine from a health standpoint. Both are widely used safely, in our day to day lives in many, many products and both have been deemed "safe" by the FDA, for whatever that is worth. I believe they are both benign products that don't harm us. The VG liquids do seem to be thicker. HOWEVER the liquid I have ordered from vapor renu, is an 80/20 pg/vg mix and is not thicker than 100% PG. I did get a 50/50 mix from another vendor that was VERY thick. VG is a much thicker liquid than PG, and it is sweeter. VG bothers my throat as well, but so does nic over 18mg. I have lots of vapor with the 80/20 PG/VG ratio. But I never had much smoke with normal smoking because most of it stayed inside my body. So I am not trying to have billowing clouds of vapor....as it is I produce FAR more vapor than I ever produced exhaling smoke. I think they are equally safe, but I prefer the higher PG mixtures...to me they taste better. VG for some reason makes my throat itch. I have no food allergies or anything like that normally, so I don't know what it is. I accidentally had ordered a liquid that was 100%VG when we first started out and I couldn't vape it at all....first it totally made the flavor taste differently and secondly it made my throat itch terribly. Like everything else, it is a matter of personal preference. I use only cartos and the liquid that is super thick does take longer to absorb. Right now I don't have any that is thick at all. I am using all 80/20 mixtures and they are very thin, which is fine with me. The easier to absorb into the filler the better for me.
