the white chocolate is awesome because you can also mix it with just about anything....including that choc mint. It is one of those flavors good on it's own, but it "fixes" other stuff, LOL. The heath bar is good, and a sweet flavor....and definitely a good after taste. BUT, my personal favorite is the pumpkiccino....it is white chocolate, bavarian creme, pumpkin spice and cappuccino......AMAZING, and obviously a sweeter flavor. All the flavors we have had have been true to what they are named, if you know what I mean. Like sometimes you order stuff like say, strawberry cheesecake and it just tastes like some kind of crazy sweet fruit.....you can't really identify strawberry or cheesecake. THEIR flavors, at least in my experience, are easily identifiable. They have all tasted as I imagined they would. Their prices are SUPER low and for a first time purchase if you use the code "nujuice" you get 15% off which makes it well under $7 for a 30 ml bottle which is CRAZY cheap.....AND it is awesome liquid, in my opinion. What I like is that if I end up not liking something (which I half expect sooner or later to happen) I won't feel bad at that price. But when I pay $8 for some tiny 10ml bottle it is irritating. Order a couple things and check it out....and make sure you let us know what you think!!!

I knew I didn't have any aspartame poisoning because I don't, and didn't, use any "diet" products or sugar substitutes in general. But the point is that nutrasweet is flat out poison,...the FDA is WELL aware of the fact, there have been many studies and medical journal articles regarding it, it is banned in much of the world, YET it is deemed safe for our consumption in the U.S. Oh yeah, I REALLY trust the freaking FDA....their opinion means oh so much to me.

How Many Ml S In A Pre Filled Attie Or Carto?
juliery replied to Erika's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I should mention that I am talking about cartos.....I don't use anything else...only cartos. -
We got really lucky again.....got another 3 flavors and love them all, and for all totally different reasons. All 3 are the exact same specs...16 mg....80/20 pg/vg....regular flavor....medium TH....no vitamins or additives. Bavarian Creme....This is a nice sweet creamy flavor. Obviously this is on the sweeter side, but by no means SUPER sweet or I wouldn't like it, LOL. The vapor is good, the TH is good for us. I got this flavor more to mix with other stuff like the Pumpkin Spice (which I am still using daily) and cappuccino and whatever else I dream up. If you like banana I bet this would be fabulous mixed with banana, like a banana pudding. I actually mixed it with grape and it was awesome, like a grape dreamsicle......really good....okay, so that brings me to the next flavor.... Grape....OMG THIS IS AWESOME! This wasn't even ordered for me as normally I am not into the fruits so much....I was only vaping fruits when we first started out and I just got away from that as my taste buds changed. Anyway, THIS grape smells incredible before you even open the bottle...then you do and it smells awesome, no doubt what it is. It tastes just like Grape Bubble Yum....or for those of you who remember "penny candy", you know that rope bubble gum....they used to have it in a bucket at the store, they were/are like 18 inches long, and wrapped individually. Well it tastes JUST like that. It is REALLY great. My husband has had grape from many different places, some he liked, some he hated, but THIS he loves. I had to try it when he was carrying on and I LOVE it too. Really awesome. Now he is dying to try the watermelon, cherry, strawberry and other fruit flavors. Great vapor and good TH....at least for us, and as I said, it is medium, you can get two levels higher than that. Heath Bar....okay, I had to vape this for awhile before I could decide what it tasted like. Now my husband loved it right away. I didn't dislike it or anything, but maybe from having all those other flavors, it was hard to assess....but yup, vape it and it DOES taste like a heath bar. This is not a SUPER strong flavor like the others from VR, so I was a little thrown by that. But I have been vaping it for several hours now and I am really loving it. What I like about it is that while it is a 'candy' flavor it is not overly crazy sweet. It tastes like a heath bar without tasting like a heath bar covered in sugar. Good vapor and TH....I order the same level every time so far and I am good with the TH. Okay, so I ordered two more bottles of White Chocolate because we REALLY absolutely are crazy about it...it is awesome mixed in with everything. I already have 2 bottles of pumpkin spice....the first one is getting dangerously low though, LOL. I also ordered a bottle of Waffle, which is a big repeat seller for them, so I am VERY interested in that. Oh and they added my pumpkiccino to their flavors.....if you like Pumpkin Spice Lattes....you will LOVE this....that is my all time favorite coffee at Starbucks...I hate that it is only seasonal. At least now I can vape it....better off without all those calories anyway!!! Anyway, another batch of great flavors from Vapor Renu again. If they sold samples I would probably get every single flavor, even of stuff that doesn't sound great to me, just to try it, LOL!!

How Many Ml S In A Pre Filled Attie Or Carto?
juliery replied to Erika's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I think it totally depends who they are from......I don't think it is any standard amount from one manufacturer to another. When you open them up they vary dramatically as far as the amount of filler too. Like when I boil them clean and dry them, when I refill them some take as few as 14 drops, others as much as 28 or so. So obviously what they hold is dramatically different. Clearly they aren't all made by the same people either, because some of them have that bottom condom that has the stick going into the carto....others the hole is much smaller with a condom that has like a little blob at the bottom and the sticks of the other kind don't fit into them. I have never measured the MLs they hold, just because I don't really care. So my answer is they aren't prefilled with the same amounts and they don't hold the same either. I also think that would account for the difference in what vendors say....like some say the prefilled cartos are the equivalent of half a pack of smokes, others claim theirs are up to 1.5 packs. So it varies by quite a bit as far as I can tell. I refill mine so it doesn't really matter to much to me....and I have hundreds of them, from all different vendors...some bought empty, some that had been filled. -
Someone posted within a thread a really good TH tip, and after a year of vaping I had never done this. Normally when I vape I inhale directly into my lungs, while I am dragging/drawing/inhaling. Well someone posted that a way to get good TH is to inhale into just your mouth, then inhale the entire mouthful into your lungs at once. Well, I tried it and honestly not only do you get good TH, but you also get that sorta lightheaded feeling after a few times doing this in quick succession like when you smoke too much. I had really never paid much attention to how I vaped....other than the initial learning curve of having to do the slow steady thing. But other than that, I vaped like I smoked.....well this tip really works, but I find I have to really pay attention in order to do it just because it isn't my usual manner of vaping. Funny how subjective things are and why I really don't care about reviews in general....I pay more attention to people who like the same type of flavors as I do. Like RY4 is disgusting to me...I hate the super overly sweet flavors...Caramel, YUCK GROSS. We ordered 4 flavors from Ms T's and they are disgusting, so sweet and NONE of them could anyone guess the flavor without looking at the label (had the kids sniffing to try and guess what they were)....just overwhelmingly sweet. Just awful. I wouldn't vape that stuff if they gave me it free for life. When I read reviews and person after person uses the word "sweet", and I order it anyway, I usually don't like it. I have learned that over time. Now Vapor Renu (btw, spelled like that, renu, not renew) I get the medium TH and that is plenty for me. I think aggressive would hurt my throat. But I smoked light cigs so maybe that makes it different. I can't say that I had any stronger of a TH when smoking. I always think the TH is more related to the heat and more the fact that it is smoke hitting your throat. So far, as far as flavor, vapor renu is the ONLY place where I have liked every single flavor we have ordered, which I believe it is 8 of them now. Le Cig, their problem is more a total lack of flavor....just nothing. The flavor is soooooo weak it is crazy. But then I don't like the really overpowering flavors either. I just like a distinct flavor I can identify. I also tend not to like the no flavor flavors (like made up flavors)....like where it is just a big mixture of flavors with no clearly identifiable flavor, especially if the overall impression is just sweet, like RY4....my husband and I probably hate that flavor most of all, or we did till we got the stuff from Ms T's....God, awful, just awful. But of course that is only our opinion based on our preference of not liking super sweet stuff. We had ordered cappuccino (which it smelled like caramel mixed with cotton candy and tasted like just I don't know...caramel with burnt sugar?), white chocolate mocha, which tasted like neither white chocolate or mocha, just overwhelmingly sweet...Grape which smelled grape but tasted like a really sweet chemicalish taste, and then the dark chocolate/dulce de leche, which was the least bad but would definitely need to be rigged with something else. I am not bothering with it. With the order came a little tri folded "menu" and info about the company and based on that I would guess that the owner, which is also the person who creates and mixes everything, and was a baker, has a sweet tooth. Clearly she likes the very sweet taste and we don't. So that is what I mean, I try and find someone who enjoys the same type of flavors as I do and then odds are things they like I will like too, or at least for the most part. Almost guaranteed someone who loves caramel, RY4, and that kind of stuff, I won't share the same flavor preferences with. It is the same with food.....my oldest daughter enjoys ENTIRELY different kinds of foods than what I like, so when she says something is good, to me it usually isn't and vice versa. There are some things we both like, but very few. In fact I was just telling her about a place we went to and what I had and she was like "omg, I hate that place, their food sucks" LOL....which when she tells me about something she didn't like, I can usually rest assured that I will like it. My taste has changed a lot over the time I have been vaping...in the beginning it IS hard to pick up flavors...face it, our taste buds were pretty much destroyed with the smoking. It was a good couple months before I started really ENJOYING the flavors, and of food too. Suddenly we noticed that food started tasting different, like it is supposed to, didn't have to use near as many seasonings, salt and pepper in order for food to taste good, etc. The whole vaping thing is an interesting journey. I do like that now, especially after ordering a bunch of liquid from several vendors I now have a MUCH better sense of what flavors I like and which flavors to avoid. Like the RY4, various people would say, oh, that one sucks, you have to order it from so and so, and I would still hate it, or hate it even more, then another person would say, oh so and so has the best RY4, and nope, still disgusting. Granted they may all taste different from each other, but bottom line it is a SUPER sweet flavor and I don't like super sweet. I should also mention that in real life I don't like eating sweets as a general thing. Like in ice cream, I prefer like a fruit sorbet over vanilla or chocolate. Or I like fruit smoothies that are made ONLY with fresh fruit and ice....no added yogurt, creams, sugars etc. I am more of a salt person than a sugar person...like I would pick a potato chip any day over a cookie. BUT that said, I do like the neutral liquids like white chocolate, bavarian creme, etc. They are excellent for cutting other flavors. But I don't like just sweet, it has to be a flavor that I can identify. I think the most important part about the reviews is paying attention to the flavors the reviewers is liking, to get a sense if they seem to like the same TYPES of flavors. Okay, I will shut up. Flavor is very subjective in my opinion.

I think it is different being the one in the situation where you have to react...but as a spectator, it was freaky.....it happened SO fast...like I couldn't believe how fast this car flew across all those lanes spinning and then back across them and in the opposite direction of the flow of traffic...like his car was coming toward us rather than away when he was initially way ahead of us. It was really bizarre to see. I have never seen anything like that. The important thing is that you guys weren't hurt and no one else was either!
-
Then only the stink made me a smoker. Even with smoking for 3 decades and lighting a cig with the one before it, I didn't have a morning cough....I could breathe perfectly fine....took huge deep breaths with no problems. In fact, I rarely had colds, other than the viral stuff that everyone seems to get now and then. I have always run a super low blood pressure, to the point I have problems with orthostatic hypotension (get all light headed and dizzy when changing positions...like from laying to sitting to standing, etc). Hopefully nothing will come bite me in the rear down the road, but I never had any smoking related health issues. God knows I have enough other health issues, LOL.
-
my response would still be no. There are cancer risks with those other tobacco products because of the chemicals put into the tobacco....that is why they ask specifically about tobacco. If they don't care if you are using nic gum, patches and lozenges, this would be the same as those in terms of tobacco. No one using gum would think they are using a tobacco product, so why should we? If they wanted to know if we were using anything containing nicotine they could easily enough ask that question.
-
HA....love that analogy. I agree, non smoker. For insurance purposes the vaping is really irrelevant and you are NOT lying saying you aren't smoking...you are NOT smoking. I would be interested if those same co workers would think a person using a nic patch is smoking? Or nic gum, are they smoking? Obviously no one would think they were smoking, it is ridiculous....so what makes the fact that you are getting the nic via another route smoking? You are no more smoking than a pot of boiling water is smoking. In order to be smoking, there has to be something burning to create the smoke....there isn't, so you aren't. In fact, my doctors who are WELL AWARE that I vape regard me as a non smoker...If someone asked if we were consuming nicotine, that would be a totally different question.

Really? A Little Turn On A Carto Will Help?
juliery replied to AimeeG's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I had a battery that was working really weird and the vendor told me to turn the connection in the center slot on the battery connection a quarter turn counter clockwise to raise up the connection....that sometimes they are down too far and not making proper contact with the carto/atty. He also said if it is an isolated carto not making a connection to do the same in the slot on the carto. It does raise it up, and conversely clockwise makes it go down, so there is something to it as far as the two things connecting to each other. That center post does have some room for adjustment, just not too much or the wires that it is connected to can get twisted. I have only had this issue once, out of a LOT of batteries, so I don't think it is a common thing. But if something isn't working properly, or at all, I guess it can't hurt much to try. -
Awesome Nina!!!! What a great surprise! I agree with what Chris said....I wouldn't bring more than one device in the carry on, because it would be hard to justify needing EVERYTHING with you to travel....and then there could be questions as to what it is and why you need to have it WITH you. All the extra stuff I would have in the checked luggage. I think most law enforcement, security and other similar personnel is familiar with the e cig. My husband's brother who is a commander in a police department knew what the e cig was before we had ever heard of it years ago. They keep up on that stuff because they need to know what it is in their line of work. Maybe not in every podunk little town, but I would think customs agents would know what the stuff is. The only real problem would be if you were going to a country where the stuff was flat out banned....but since that isn't the case I don't think you will have any problem.
-
what is more sad is that most people don't know what is going on in their own country, or state, or community.
-
I use cartos and heck yes....you can switch between them. Just cap them so they don't dry out. My husband has been doing that for the last year....he gets tired of vaping only one flavor so he carries like 4 different flavors in his pocket and just swaps them around all the time for several days till he uses them up. The prefilled ones sit around for months before anyone uses them, so why should it matter. It would be different if you were spitting into them thereby adding germs into the mix. If you wanted to be EXTRA careful you could always wipe the mouthpiece/outer part with an antibacterial wipe before capping. Personally I am not paranoid like that, so I don't do it, neither does my husband, but you could.
-
I love mixing flavors too.....it is amazing what goes well together...tonight I mixed this AMAZING grape (from Vapor Renu, tastes JUST like grape Bubble Yum) with Bavarian Creme (another awesome flavor from Vapor Renu)....it tasted EXACTLY like a grape creamsicle....like the orange and vanilla only grape and creamy....SOOOO yummy, vaping it right now. It is funny how you mix flavors and come up with other awesome things. There was nothing wrong with either of these, I just felt like dumping things together, LOL. It is fun playing around! Glad you are enjoying playing with your liquids.

Dr. Mike Siegel's New Study On Ecigs
juliery replied to Uma's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
That still doesn't get around the FDA saying they want them banned until we know exactly what is in them, blah blah blah. Plus I certainly don't want them classified as a smoking cessation device.......which would toss them in with the gums, lozenges, etc. Personally I see them as an alternate nicotine delivery device. I have no intention of getting down to no nicotine, etc. I just wanted to stop smoking. I see them more as a smoking alternative. I could no more give up the hand/mouth habit after almost a year of a vaping as I could have the first day. It is stopping THAT habit that has always made me smoke again....so I would anticipate missing that habit just as much if I quit vaping as if I had stopped smoking using another method. Yes, I quit smoking using the e cig, but I don't want to quit vaping. Not even a distant goal. -
I am guessing that is why they use pg and vg as the liquid/wetting agent, they could have used many, many things, but both those are sweet all on their own. VG is sweeter. Plus many food flavorings are sweet because the flavor itself is sweet. And if you want to know about the FDA and poison just google "aspartame poisoning"....aspartame is better known under it's brand name "nutra sweet"...it is banned in many other countries because it is POISON. Plain and simple it is poison. Years ago when I first became very ill I was tested for aspartame poisoning...it causes permanent damage and the FDA is WELL aware of this. And you don't need insane levels of it like with saccharin, you just need to consume normal amounts of aspartame. In lab tests it has been proven over and over again to be poisonous, yet the FDA gives the stamp of approval and uninformed people think that MEANS something. They think if the FDA says something is safe, that means it is. Inform yourselves is all I have to say.
-
I think that is because a lot of people do direct dripping and do not use anything with filling. Personally I use cartos, but you don't need "filling" to vape. A lot of people just direct drip onto the atty and never use any filling.
-
I have been using the same cartos till they die. But not all at once. When you use them and they get yucky, I toss them into a container,...when I accumulate a pile of them (I have hundreds of them and am currently rotating 70) I use an electric hot pot and boil them...(take end caps off first and toss them in an old pill bottle to rinse off with a drop of dish soap).. an electric hot pot goes from cold to boiling in under a minute....so I boil them for about 15 mins, change the water, boil again for another 15 mins or so and keep doing this until there is NO odor in the water and no discoloration. If you are only cleaning a few cartos obviously you would really probably only need to boil twice, once for the really dirty water, once for a clean water. I usually boil around 25, sometimes as many as 50. While they are boiling I watch tv or do some other thing since the water doesn't need my help to boil. Once I am done I run the pot full of cold water to cool them off....then I blog the excess water out of them and set them out to dry for a day or two or whenever. (I use a plastic insert tray that came with my cell phone to do this, so if anything falls over I don't have cartos flying all over). Every second time I do this process I do the whole boiling thing...then set them in a container of everclear/cheap vodka (high alcohol content,no flavor or sugar. I don't use rubbing alcohol or any other thing not meant to be ingested)....I have left them in the everclear anywhere from 1 hour to 36 hours if I forget, or just don't feel like taking them out, etc. After I take them out of the alcohol I do the boiling process again to make sure all the alcohol is out of them....probably a good 3-4 boils with changing the water when I am doing a bunch of them. Then the blowing out and drying. There is NO way any bacteria can survive in boiling something repeatedly for that length of time.....the alcohol will kill anything too. I have cartos I have used many, many, many times....I was keeping track of one, but after 15 bolings, I figured why bother. In the last year we have lost maybe 10 cartos. This is not as complicated of a process as it may sound. You are only actually DOING anything for maybe 10 minutes, most of the time the cartos are boiling, soaking or drying which doesn't require any effort on my part. Of course the people making and marketing them say they are disposable....I would love if someone would use something once and toss it. Well when you can easily smoke 8 prefilled cartos a day, it would get awfully expensive to just toss them, which is why I don't and I won't. No one using an atty would throw away a working atty, so why should I throw away mine just because it happens to have filler on top of it? As long as it is kept clean and germ free and the atty is working, I see no reason to toss it. I am very meticulous about cleaning them as I already have a compromised immune system and don't need more problems. I have even talked to my doctor about this whole thing and he said there is no way that doing all that we will be having a problem as far as bacteria, etc. When you sterilize baby bottles, etc....it is basically the same process....boiling, but for a much shorter time. But of course part of this is the getting out old flavor, etc. Anyway, it works great, we have had NO problems at all. I just do other things when the water is boiling and with using the electric hot pot I do the whole thing in my master bath while I am on my laptop, or watching tv, etc. If I ever start doing it and then get tired I just leave them sit in the hot water, not boiling and then resume when I feel like it. Do not just walk away with them boiling....the water will evaporate eventually, and you want them always covered in water.

Proposed Ban In Seattle Area

Cannot Seem To Find Any Evidence Of Health Danger
juliery replied to easilyamused's topic in Vaping Health & Safety
I agree, there just hasn't been enough time, it is just too new to know long term effects, good or bad. As with ANYTHING containing any chemical there is potential for overdose and other problems. There have been cases of toddlers and pets overdosing on nicotine by getting a hold of a pack of cigarettes and chewing on/eating them. I don't know if there have been actual deaths, but I know of a 2 y/o doing this.....she was sick to her stomach basically and once it was out of her system she was fine. But let's face it, a small child could get just about anything and get sick from it, that is why parents are supposed to be responsible and have any type of chemicals locked up and kept away from little curious minds/eyes/hands. Kids have shocked/electrocuted themselves in electric outlets and died too....but no one is suggesting banning electricity....you use outlet covers and more importantly you supervise small children. Kids have fallen out of windows too, no one is going to suggest boarding up all windows. I just HATE hearing the arguments about little kids getting the liquid etc as a reason for banning.....PARENTS are responsible for keeping their kids safe, PERIOD. If a kid gets into e liquid and gets sick and that is made into a spectacle, then I hope someone has the sense to then report how many kids have gotten into the hundreds, if not thousands of other items in the average household, and gotten sick.....so are we going to ban EVERYTHING with ANY chemical that is not meant to be consumed? THAT is the illogic in that argument. Kids get into chemicals one of two ways.....the chemicals are either NOT kept in a safe manner, put up where a child can't get to them, or in a locked cabinet, etc....and/or the child is NOT properly supervised. Look at all the kids who have gotten into meds, cleaning products, hell drank mouthwash, run with a pair of scissors and countless other things and gotten sick, injured or even died......and NONE of those things have been banned, nor should they be. E liquid, like EVERY other item that could potentially make a child sick should be kept out of their reach...and THAT is the responsibility of parents and caregivers. -
I wish I was out there!!!

I have never heard of this supplier...anyone familiar with them? They offer free first class shipping, but I am impatient so I paid the 5 bucks for priority, LOL. This is what I was most interested in...... http://www.alvinecigs.com/Transparent-Drip-Tip-Joye510-DSE901-Kr808-p/transparent510drip.htm $2.50 for a drip tip seems like a good price. I liked that they are transparent so I can see through them. I ordered 4 to use with my 808 cartos, not so much for dripping, but because I like vaping without the cap on, since the draw is easier since the airflow isn't so restricted. Sometimes while I am sitting here particularly enjoying a certain flavor, I like to add in some more rather than swapping cartos. I also ordered another 808 PT, since I just killed my cigeasy one. That one lasted a whole month, which is the longest I have ever had a PT last. The one from this Alvinecigs.com was only 10 bucks, so can't beat that. That is the cheapest price I have ever seen on a PT so if it lasts a couple weeks it will work out to the same price as everyone else's PT. So I ordered the stuff, got a confirmation email and in LESS THAN AN HOUR, I got an email saying the order was being shipped, got the tracking info etc. Have to say, FASTEST shipping notification ever. Don't know how their prices compare on other items I don't purchase but they do seem to have good prices on the items I am familiar with. They are located in Houston. Looks like all the Joye/ego/510 attys are between $7.99-9.99 with the mega cylinder ego attys being $10.99.....so if you aren't in a hurry and can wait a few days you get free first class shipping. If you live in the area you have the option of picking up your order too. Anyway, haven't seen anyone talk about them, so just thought I would let everyone know....especially if you live in Houston, would be nice to be able to just go pick up the stuff. They also have liquid, starter kits, batts, chargers. All I know is that they get the stuff out FAST!!! Looking forward to trying the drip tip so I don't look so ghetto sucking on a carto with no end cap, LOL.
