  1. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Orion Plus from Lost Vape. The Orion Plus was supplied for the purpose of this review by Lotus from Lost Vape. Introduction Lost Vape are known for their quality regulated devices hosting the DNA chipset and have gained a great reputation as well as manufacturing quality affordable devices through their sister brand Modefined. The Orion DNA GO saw their entry into the AIO Pod market which was followed by a couple more pod systems under the Quest brand which houses a proprietary chipset one of which was a budget version of the Orion. Here we have the updated version of the Orion Go the Orion Plus which has the same design and simply adds to the settings options while also introducing a pod which accommodates replaceable coils. Like the Orion DNA Go the Orion Plus is packed with features straight out the box and when used in conjunction with the Escribe Go software becomes an enthusiasts playground! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1 Orion PLUS Device 1 Orion PLUS Lanyard 1 MicroUSB Cable 1 Warranty Cable 1 0.25ohm MESH OCC Coil 1 0.5ohm Regular OCC Coil 1 User Manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics I am not going to go into great detail as the device will be explained as the review goes on and plenty of pictures are included. The Orion Plus is a small portable device which fits in the hand nicely or can be worn around the neck using the supplied lanyard. The Chassis is metal and comes in different frame colours and the panels come in various materials. I received the version with a Silver frame and Stabwood panels, the options are Gold-Stabwood, Silver-Stabwood, Blue-Stabwood, Black-Stabwood, Gold-Textured Carbon Fiber, Silver-Textured Carbon Fiber, Blue-Textured Carbon Fiber, Black-Textured Carbon Fiber, Purple-Textured Carbon Fiber, Gold-Gold Abalone, Silver-Ocean Scallop, Blue-Ocean Scallop, Black-Ocean Scallop, Purple-Ocean Scallop and Purple-Phenix. The Orion is made very solidly and really can't fault it's build quality. ___________________________________________________________________ Orion Plus Specs and Features: • Advanced DNA GO Chipset • Dimensions - 93mm by 37mm by 13.5mm • Integrated 950mAh Rechargeable Battery • Max. Wattage Output: 22W (40W boost available) • 5 Power Levels - White, Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple • Proprietary Pod Cartridge Installation • 0.25ohm Orion Plus Mesh Coil • 0.5ohm Orion Plus Regular Coil • Threaded Coil Installation • Short-Circuit Protection • Weak Battery Protection • Temperature Protection • Low/High Resistance Protection • MicroUSB Port Settings can be tailored using Escribe Software Colours/Designs: Gold-Stabwood, Silver-Stabwood, Blue-Stabwood, Black-Stabwood, Gold-Textured Carbon Fiber, Silver-Textured Carbon Fiber, Blue-Textured Carbon Fiber, Black-Textured Carbon Fiber, Purple-Textured Carbon Fiber, Gold-Gold Abalone, Silver-Ocean Scallop, Blue-Ocean Scallop, Black-Ocean Scallop, Purple-Ocean Scallop, Purple-Phenix ___________________________________________________________________ The Pods Unlike the Orion Go where the coils couldn't be replaced in the pods so every time a coil no longer performed it was the whole pod that needed replacing the Orion Plus comes with a pod that accommodates replaceable coils. Like with the Orion Go there are 2 coil options which are a 0.5ohm regular coil and a 0.25ohm mesh coil both of which are SS316L. Of late only receiving one pod with pod devices is becoming the unfortunate trend so a big pro for the fact you receive both the 0.25ohm coil (pre-installed) and the 0.5ohm coil. The pod gets fixed into place via a catch that has a release switch on the side of the device towards the top, the switch and locking mechanism seems very durable and the pod snaps into place very securely. The whole of the pod is visible and the pod is not as darkly tinted as the pods for the Orion Go, in fact they are just slightly tinted and the e-liquid can be clearly seen with no problems whatsoever. The pod has a proprietary Delrin drip tip which is very comfortable between the lips, we also have adjustable airflow which is found at the base of the drip tip. The airflow control is dual mini cyclops and there is some texturing for grip, it moves less freely than on the Orion Go and wish it was just slightly looser but i'm being a bit petty. Also on the top of the pod we have a cap with texturing for grip, this is for filling the pod so the pod doesn't need removing to fill. The threading on the cap is good and an o-ring completes the seal, the fill hole is very generous so even glass droppers will be fine with it. The pod holds 2ml of e-liquid and when purchasing a replacement pod it comes with both a 0.25ohm coil pre-installed and a 0.5ohm coil, just the coils can be purchased as the pods should last for many coil changes, both coils come in packs of five. ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Coils As mentioned one of the upgrades is that the pod accommodates replacement coils. The replacement coils come attached to a rectangular base section so rather than unscrewing the base from the pod and then the coils being screwed inside that base the whole base section is replaced with each coil change. To remove a coil you need to unscrew the drip tip and adjustable airflow section, this allows you to touch the top of the chimney section of the installed coil. You need to press down on the chimney with a bit of force which moves the coil downwards, now enough of the base section can be gripped to pull out the base and coil section. Installing the new base and coil section is just the simple task of press fitting into place and then screwing the drip tip/airflow section back into place which screws on to the top of the chimney. Cons are hard to find with the Orion Plus as a couple of the cons i had with the Orion Go have been addressed but i must say trying to remove the pre-installed coil took quite some effort although once you have had e-liquid going through the pod removing the coil after the first initial time was easier. ___________________________________________________________________ Using The Orion Plus The Orion Plus is an advanced pod system with plenty of options and a real enthusiasts playground when used in conjunction with Escribe. It is a simple device to use and has been set-up to be able to use including with the Replay feature without using the Escribe software so you can enjoy the device even if you are not the sought that wants to mess around with software. As mentioned with the Escribe software loads can be messed with but for the purpose of this review i will keep it simple and just cover the device as it is straight out the box. On one side of the device you have a round fire button towards the top and a horizontal pill shaped mode button towards the bottom, above this is an LED indicator light. The device can be locked and unlocked with 5 clicks of the fire button and with the device unlocked 2 quick clicks of the fire button shows the battery status. The battery status indication is really spot on in my opinion and is the following: Light Blue = 95% - 100% Green = 70% - 95% Yellow = 30% - 70% Red = 15% - 30% Red Blinking = 0% - 15% The Orion Plus auto detects the resistance of the coil in the pod and adjusts the output accordingly giving the option of five power settings which is the main upgrade to the Orion Go which only has three . When it detects the 0.5 regular coil is inserted it gives 5 power setting options for MTL mode and when it detects the 0.25 mesh coil is inserted it gives 5 power settings options for DL mode. Of course as mentioned in this review i am not going to go into detail but all these power settings can be altered along with the before mentioned battery status indications and having a 40W boost amongst other things using Escribe but what the added settings has done is make it an even better device straight out the box for those that don't want to mess about using Escribe. You can change your power setting by simply pressing the mode button, each press takes you to the next setting and the setting you are on is indicated by the colour of the LED. In MTL mode White is 10 watts, Blue is 11 watts, Red is 14 watts, Yellow is 16 watts and Purple is 18 watts. When in DL mode White is 13 watts, Blue is 15 watts, Red is 18 watts, Yellow is 20 watts and Purple is 22 watts. The device also comes with the Replay feature setup out the box which means the Orion is constantly recording every hit you take, when you take a vape (it doesn't matter what power setting you are using) which gives the flavour and vape you like just long press the mode button until the LED goes Green, you are now in Replay mode and the recorded vape is duplicated over and over again, another long press of the mode button takes you out of Replay and back to normal operation. ___________________________________________________________________ Replay Mode Replay is still quite a new feature which was introduced by Evolv when they released the DNA 75C chipset and has been met with great enthusiasm. Some say it's temp control, others say it's something quite different and to be honest all i know is temperature plays a big part in it's calculations and it includes anti dry hit technology. Replay is a flavour based feature which you choose to save a recorded puff when the vape and flavour is just how you like it, once a recorded puff is "Replayed" it gives the same recorded puff over and over so if certain recorded calculations can't be met will compensate in other areas of the calculation so the flavour and vape quality should remain the same. Once setup (which is simple) Replay is a pain free user friendly feature unlike full temp control while still giving the same anti dry hit technology. On the Orion it doesn't even need setting up, that's already been done so it can be used straight out the box. I love the replay feature and rarely use any of my DNA devices other than in Replay mode. ___________________________________________________________________ Pod Compatibility Between Orion Go And Plus I really have a lot of respect for Lost Vape as they could of easily made the Pods not compatible but the Orion Plus Pod and therefore coils are fully compatible with the Orion Go. It does say they are supported after software upgrade to Orion Plus which the next section will be about but actually although you will obviously get the most out of the new pod with the extra settings they do work absolutely fine without an upgrade as i have tried swapping the pods from one device to another before upgrading my Orion Go to an Orion Plus. For those getting an Orion Plus but still have Orion Go Pods they will also work fine with the Orion Plus although because there is more out the box settings and it is just slightly more powerful it is recommended you just use them on the first two settings. ___________________________________________________________________ Upgrading Orion Go to an Orion Plus You really do have to hand it to Lost Vape when at times it seems vaping manufactures are making each pod/AIO device they release proprietary to fleece the vaper but that accusation can't be aimed at Lost Vape. Not only have they made the improved coils and pod compatible they have also released software for those that wish to use the new pod and coils at their best and have the extra settings to turn their Orion Go into an Orion Plus. Below is a link to where the software can be downloaded and Lost Vape give detailed instructions on how to install the new software, well done Lost Vape!!! https://lostvape.com/upgrade-software/ ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Orion Plus Just like the Orion Go i like the Orion Plus a lot and the types of draws you can achieve suit my preferred style of vaping but it does need pointing out despite it being marketed for both MTL and DL the only MTL you can achieve is a very loose draw even with the airflow closed right down. The adjustable airflow does work well but the cyclops nature of it really just gives varying restricted lung draws and the very loose MTL draw you can get works equally as well with both coils on all out the box settings, the higher the setting the warmer the vape. Using the Escribe software the device can be tailored to suit your preference and personally i enjoy using the software and altering settings although the Plus really with the extra settings is going to suit most vapers without needing to alter anything. Having a pod with replaceable coils is along with having 5 instead of 3 power settings the two main upgrades but a lot of work (and improvement) have gone into the coils themselves. The flavour with both original Orion Go pods was very good but had quite a long break in period and also struggled to wick when chain vaping or using any liquid thicker than 50/50. Both new coils if anything are giving even better flavour with next to no break in time and wick so much better which in turn have improved their longevity greatly, for me the 0.25ohm mesh coil edges it when it comes to which coil i prefer. The 950mAh battery gave really good life which for some reason seemed to be even better when using Replay. I kept missing when it was fully charged as i was relying on looking at the charging device as the charge completed and even i haven't got that sad that i will permanently stare at a charging device to be 100% accurate but can say it was charged within 1 and half hours which for a 950mAh pod device supporting pass-through i am perfectly happy with. Another thing i noticed is although the better the flavour usually the higher the juice consumption, not in this case. Despite the very good flavour the Orion Plus gives, both coils are efficient on e-juice making the 2ml a good capacity. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Very good build quality Stabwood, Abalone or Carbon Fiber panels 5 Frame Colours Pocket friendly, comfortable in hand Comfortable drip tip Adjustable airflow Replaceable Coils 0.25ohm mesh coil & 0.5ohm regular coil included (both SS316L) Large 950mAh Battery (compared to average pod device) Battery charges in about 1.5 hours (fair) Supports Pass-through Very good 5 tier battery status indication Pods fit with durable catch (release switch on side of device) Pods fit very securely Top fill with generous fill port Auto detects resistance and alters power settings accordingly 5 power settings Can be used with Escribe software (becomes an enthusiasts playground) 40w boost available Replay feature (set-up out the box) Can clearly see juice level Pod compatible with Orion Go and Visa Versa 2ml Capacity Coils have next to no break in time Very good flavour from both coils Wicks fine with all types of juices i used (up to 70VG) Average longevity (much improved) Additional Lost Vape have released software to turn your existing Orion Go into an Orion Plus, very good show! Cons Only a loose MTL for MTL vapers (restricted lung vapers are well catered for) Airflow control ring slightly tight Pre-installed coil/base section was very tight More expensive than most pod devices (worth it in my opinion) I would once again like to thank Lotus from Lost Vape for supplying the Orion Plus for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  2. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Oner pod device from Ultroner. The Oner pod device was supplied for the purpose of this review by SAC who deals with marketing for Ultroner and 3 other vaping manufacturers. <Removed spammy banner> Introduction Ultroner are known for their affordable stabwood devices and long standing partnership (which has now expired) with Asmodus and have just released a few products independently four of which i have reviewed recently. Here we look at another Ultroner device, the Oner which is Ultroner's first open pod system and has the same stunning stabwood finish as previous products. The Oner is a simple draw activated pod device which has battery status indication and accommodates a 2ml capacity pod which in turn houses a 1.5ohm ceramic coil. I love the name The Oner but is it really? let's see! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1x Oner Pod Battery (with fitted pod) 1x Refillable Pod 1x Storage Bag 1x User Manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The Oner comes in a large square flat flip open cardboard container with a viewing window the same shape and size as the device. The colour options are listed as Red, Blue and Green but due to the characteristics of Hybrid Stabwood all devices are unique, the one i received as a main colour of Blue. The device is a fat cigar shape making it very ergonomic and along with the gorgeous stabwood finish is very aesthetically pleasing. The tinted pod is also a cylindrical shape but flattens centrally to give a flat mouthpiece. Between the pod and main stabwood finish we have a Stainless Steel Band we also have a Stainless Steel base. The base section has printed branding and safety stamps and centrally positioned is the micro USB port. Finally between the base and stabwood body we have a black band very similar to an o-ring in appearance, this band is actually translucent and lights up to give battery status indication. ___________________________________________________________________ Receipt Case Also included is an handmade pure leather, cowhide Receipt case! ___________________________________________________________________ Oner Specifications: Size: 102x 20mm Material: SS + Stabilized Wood Built-in 380mAh battery Wattage range: 5- 12W Maximum output voltage: 4.2V Output Voltage 2.8v - 4.2v Charging time: 1 hour Pod capacity: 2.0ml (Refillable) Coil: Ceramic 1.5ohm Colours: Blue, Red, Green (each one unique) ___________________________________________________________________ The Pod The pod is tinted and cylindrical in shape with a 2ml capacity which is very good for a low power pod device. The section that enters the device is perfectly round while the mouth section flattens out to be comfortable between the lips. As mentioned the pod is tinted but i didn't have any issues seeing the juice level so i don't see as an issue. On the side of the lower round section there is a silicone section which lifts one side to reveal a fill port. The fill port is tiny and really i feel a needle nosed fill bottle should of been included as filling with any other type of nozzle can get a bit messy! Moving to the base of the pod we have a central hole that leads to the membrane switch with positive surround this in turn has a magnetic negative surround. The pod houses a 1.5ohm Ceramic coil and has a fixed airflow and i'm pleased to see you get supplied with 2 pods. ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Pod The bay for the pod is very deep so not the best light to see inside, we have a very small opening to the membrane switch and the 2 Gold plated, spring loaded contacts, any air getting to the pod will be from it not being an air tight seal. When fitting the pod you can feel the magnetic pull and it fits very securely, however the pod does turn freely which although doesn't effect vaping it will still bug some people. ___________________________________________________________________ Operating The Oner The Oner is for those that prefer simple devices as it is a simple draw activated device with no physical button so no adjustability. When fitting the pod the LED band above the base cycles through the colours Green, Blue, Red and when removing the pod it flashes Red 3 times, the device can't be switched on or off so simply take a draw to vape. During operation the device shows battery status indication by what colour the band lights while taking a draw, the battery status indications are the following: Green 80-100% Blue 50-79% Red 20-49% Pulsing Red Below 20% The LED band also flashes various colours when a safety protection kicks in and while charging which is done via the USB port the device also gives indications that follow the same pattern as the battery status, once fully charged the light goes out. ____________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Oner The first thing to say is what a gorgeous looking pod device, but how did i find it? The answer is a mixed bag really with certain things that tick boxes but not so good in other areas. The device has no adjustable airflow but then 90% of pod devices don't and it's a simple draw activated direct output device so no adjustability and the vape weakens as the voltage on the battery drops. The battery does go right down to 2.8v before you need to charge so with this low battery cutoff along with a 1.5ohm coil housed in the pod means the 380mAh battery is not as puny as it sounds although to be honest i found the vape became too weak and charged before the device demanded (i charged with 20% left on the battery). For most of the battery life it gave a decent vape and is one for the tighter MTL vapers as it gives a tight cigarette type draw which very few pod devices tend to do although you would think they would. Battery status indications also are very good with the 20% flashing warning essentially giving it four tiers which are nicely spread out. So i love the looks, it has a really good draw for the tighter MTL vapers, it has very good battery status indication, 2ml capacity and i had no issues seeing the juice level. However filling can be messy unless using a needle nose bottle as the pod has a very small fill port, battery life could be better, the vape weakens along with the battery and the flavour isn't the greatest. The pod just doesn't seem to fully break in although over time the flavour gets better and the pod lasts a good few refills before i considered it spent but it's as if the cotton is giving a taste that never fully disappears which mutes the flavour so unless both pods i received are bad ones and not typical (which is possible) maybe they should look at the wicking of the pods as it seems to be this masking the flavour rather than the flavour the ceramic coil is actually giving (actually their is plenty of flavour just also an alien taste). With needing to charge before the battery had run completely down i found the life to be fair but far from great, because i charged with 20% of the battery life remaining it took 45 minutes and from completely discharged it takes about 1 hour which is acceptable. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Excellent build quality Stunning stabwood main body Each device unique Ergonomic fat cigar form Pod fits securely 2ml Capacity LED light ring Battery and charging status indications (done very well) Really nice Cigarette type MTL draw 2 Pods included Can see juice level Included Leather Receipt case Cons Pods don't give the greatest flavour Pod freely turns when fitted (doesn't effect vaping so will either bug you or not) Direct output (vape weakens along with the battery) Very small fill port Battery life could be better No adjustable airflow (although it's a bonus if a pod system has this) I would once again like to thank SAC who supplied the Oner on behalf of Ultroner for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  3. Hi Vapor Talk members, in this review i take a look at the Aegis X 200W TC Kit with Cerberus Tank from Geekvape. The Aegis X 200W TC Kit with Cerberus Tank was supplied for the purpose of this review by Clay from Geekvape. Introduction When the original Aegis was released their was a bit of a buzz about it, almost indestructible, firing time to rival the Drag and battery options that included a 26650. Then more recently we had the Legend a dual battery version followed by the Mini and Solo giving smaller options with either an inbuilt battery or single 18650. The Aegis range of devices just keep coming with 2 more released simultaneously, the Aegis Squonk adding a squonking option to the Aegis family and This the Aegis X which is a dual 18650 200W TC device with full face colour screen and a brand new menu system, Is the Aegis X the ultimate Aegis? I give my opinion! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 5.5ml Standard Edition 1 x Geekvape Aegis X MOD 1 x Cerberus Sub-ohm Tank 5.5ml(Pre-installed: Super Mesh X1 Coil 0.2ohm, bubble glass 5.5ml) 1 x Extra Super Mesh X1 Coil 0.2ohm 1 x Spare Regular Glass Tube 4ml 1 x USB Cable 1 x Spare Parts Pack 1 x User Manual 2ml TPD Edition 1 x Geekvape Aegis X MOD 1 x Cerberus Sub-ohm Tank 2ml(Pre-installed: Super Mesh X1 Coil 0.2ohm, straight glass 2ml) 1 x Extra Super Mesh X1 Coil 0.2ohm 1 x Spare Regular Glass Tube 4ml 1 x USB Cable 1 x Spare Parts Pack 1 x User Manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The Aegis X Kit came in cardboard box with sleeve packaging and once opened i was met by the familiar Aegis Look apart from one side which has a full face colour screen. Like the other Aegis devices the X's aesthetics are very busy due to the use of many different durable materials making the device look as solid as it is in practice. The materials used include, LSR Silicone, Die-Cast Aluminium, Die-Cast Zinc Alloy, Leather and Stainless Steel. I received the Rainbow & Black version which is actually all Black apart from the metallic Rainbow Bracket, it came with a Rainbow Cerberus tank. The Aegis X colour options are Stealth Black, Gunmetal & Camo, Classic Silver, Gold & Black, Green & Black, Rainbow & Black, Red & Black and Signature Orange, all versions come with a Cerberus tank to suit. Looking at the device from the side opposite the screen we have the familiar metallic bracket with leather covering the spine but ending short of sweeping around the entire spine as we have a full face screen one side. The face of the device has the familiar light switch fire button and further down very tactile navigational buttons. The base houses the sealed battery door with grooved sliding catch then moving up top we have a central Gold plated, spring loaded 510. To one side on the top of the device we have a large deep fitting silicone bung to one side that seals the micro USB port. The device has great ergonomics being equally as comfortable finger or thumb firing with either hand. The build quality is as good as it gets and the Aegis X is one sturdy, robust mod but i am finding a bit too heavy personally for carrying around with me. ___________________________________________________________________ Cerberus Specs and Features: Size: 27 x 46.8mm Capacity: 5.5ml(Extra 4ml regular glass tube included) Capacity TPD Version 2ml(Extra 2ml regular glass tube included) Coil Type: Super Mesh X1 Coil 0.2ohm KA1(best at 60-80W) Easy Top Filling Design with 5.5ml Large E-juice Capacity Innovative Super Mesh Coil for Optimal Flavor Compatible with TFV8 Baby Coils Adjustable Bottom Airflow Control Thread: 510 Colours: Stainless Steel, Gunmetal, Blue, Rainbow, Black ___________________________________________________________________ Cerberus Overview The Cerberus Sub-ohm tank is quite a short sub-ohm tank which has a maximum capacity of 5.5ml with the bulge glass, there is also a 4ml straight glass and a TPD version which i guess will have a capacity reducing bung. The airflow control is duel cyclops with stopper and the fill method is top-fill, sitting on top is a low profile 810 drip tip with wide bore (you can fit your own 810 if you wish). The Cerberus borrows the same type of filling method as the Zeus RTA's, so a bayonet fitting needing just a quarter turn to open or secure shut. Both top and base of the tank has nut style knurling which is as much aesthetic as not really needed for grip as all the tolerances on the tank are spot on. The Cerberus comes with 2 mesh coils which are justifiably all the rage at the moment, they are the Super Mesh X1 kanthal mesh coils with a resistance of 0.2ohm. The coils are rated at between 30w - 90w with best being between 60w - 80w, so unlike the X2 coils which have previously been supplied when the Cerberus tank has been included in a kit the X1 has a much broader rating. A big pro for the Cerberus is Baby Beast coils will fit which means there are many mainstream coils compatible with the tank. The Cerberus is pretty standard fair when it comes to it's various parts and the coil heads get screwed into the base section. ___________________________________________________________________ Aegis X Specs and Features: Battery: 2x 18650 Cell (not included) Input Voltage: 6.2V-8.4V Output Voltage: 0.1-12V Output Wattage: 5-200W Resistance Range: 0.05Ω-3Ω Display: 2.4 inch OLED screen Charger: USB 5V 2A Output mode: Power/VPC/TC/TCR/Bypass Temperature range: 100℃~315℃ / 200℉~600℉ 200W max power by dual 18650 batteries Innovative AS 2.0 chipset for strong power support VW/TC/VPC modes, high speed & accurate operation Waterproof/Dustproof/Shockproof design for stable use Clear Colour OLED display for details tracking Thread: 510 Colours: Stealth Black, Gunmetal & Camo, Classic Silver, Gold & Black, Green & Black, Rainbow & Black, Red & Black, Signature Orange ___________________________________________________________________ Waterproof, Dustproof and Shockproof It's a great durable mod and although no-one including Geekvape will suggest going diving with it or throwing the device from a 9th floor window you would have to go some to break the device by accident. Made from many different durable materials (6 in total) including army grade silicone it will take some knocks. The device is IP67 waterproof which means it will withstand being immersed in water up to 1 meter in depth for up to 30 mins and there's some clever ways the Aegis X is a fully operating device yet waterproof. When looking at the device you might think well water will get in there, there and there etc but there is a way it is kept sealed everywhere. ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Batteries The Aegis X accommodates dual 18650 batteries that get fitted via the bottom battery hatch door. We have a strong grooved catch which needs pulling back to allow the door to open on it's spring. The catch is sturdy and needs quite a strong pull and also closing the door takes a bit of effort but for me not really a con because to keep this kind of design waterproof it has to be done this way and it does make it extremely secure so no chance of this door opening on it's own. Battery orientation is labelled at the bottom of the tubes but is just embossed small on the inside of the door so we have a Gold on Gold situation which isn't very visible and i would of liked this much clearer. ___________________________________________________________________ The Display The Aegis X has a high definition full face 2.4inch display which makes it very easy to read and the use of colour and excellent layout makes the display very aesthetically pleasing. Their is a choice of 3 themes but all present the same information in pretty much the same way so i will describe the layout with the default theme mine came with. At the top of the display to either side we have the battery status indication bars then all the rest of the information has a central orientation. Next we have the Memory slot being used then underneath this to the left is the mode then next to this the preheat if in Power mode or supplementary information in other modes. To complete the upper section of the display we then have wattage, temperature or voltage depending which mode you are in. The bottom half of the display has the coil resistance then underneath this the voltage which shows wattage instead in TC or Bypass modes. Next is the Amps followed finally by the puff count which changes to the time of your puff when vaping. ___________________________________________________________________ Protections 10's Cut-off Protection Short Circuit Protection Over Charging and Discharging Protection Over-heat Protection Over-current Protection ___________________________________________________________________ Navigating the Aegis X The Aegis X is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off and once on there is some combination key press functions. Pressing both navigational buttons together locks the navigational keys but the device will still fire, also pressing both navigational buttons and fire together turns the screen off as this is stealth mode but again the device will still fire. The device uses memory slots as your working screens so you have to be using a memory slot but each one of the 4 slots can be set up as you wish and the one in use can be altered on the fly just like you would alter any other regulated device. To start altering your working screen or change memory slots is 3 clicks of the fire button which highlights the memory slot which now can be altered with the navigational buttons. Whether you wish to change the memory slot or not once ready another click of the fire button highlights the mode and you now can scroll through the different options which are Power, VPC (custom curve), Bypass, TC SS, TC Ni, TC Ti and TCR although you can alter TCR value on the different TC wire screens. Pressing fire again highlights the preheat (or TCR value) which can be changed between standard, powerful of soft and another press of the fire button highlights the coil resistance and allows you to lock it. Finally pressing the fire button again highlights puffs for resetting or setting a puff limit. So all the basic vaping settings are on this first level and is very user friendly but we do have more settings which takes a bit of getting use to accessing and feel the overall menu could flow better. To access the other settings we first need to press the fire button 3 times as before to be in the menu system and then hold down both navigational buttons for 3 seconds, we then get the other settings displayed in a list which are Auto, Theme, Colour, Version, ABB and Reset. Version and Reset are self explanatory so i will move to Auto which gives you the option if the device asks you if it's an old or new coil. ABB is for the device to use your batteries balanced and i guess this would need to be on for balanced charging. Theme allows you to choose between 3 different display themes and colour allows you to choose between 5 different display colours. I like what the device offers and the main settings are user friendly but wish the extra setting could be accessed in a much more user friendly way allowing the whole menu system to flow better. Three different themes! 4 of the display colours! ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Aegis X Kit I must state i did not use the device in temp control and have no access to data so simply reviewed the device as i experienced it (best way in my opinion, humans vape computers don't). This screen is massive and the display is so easy to read and being able to customise it is a big pro, after saying that their will be those who couldn't care less for a massive screen and would prefer the Legend. I did wonder about the ergonomics with having the screen one side but it feels great in the hand but found it too heavy for my liking to carry around with me. As mentioned accessing the extra settings is a bit disjointed but once you have the display how you want it going into these settings will rarely be needed as all the vaping settings, changing modes etc is all done on the first level from the working screen which is a very easy user friendly way of doing things. The device fires instantly and with impressive ramp up and all the various wattage's i vaped at seemed very accurate as did the resistance readings. The curves feature works great and just like it's build quality it's a solid performer. The Cerberus tank is a good tank which gives smooth airflow and has the bonus of accommodating mainstream coils (baby beast fitting). Both coils provided are the super mesh X1 0.2ohm coils, i wish they had included an X2 coil which i much prefer but the flavour was on par with other mesh coils in the market if not outstanding. I preferred the X1 at 60W and it gave around 10 days before the flavour was dropping off so again about average. I understand Geekvape want to maximise sales of both the Aegis X and the Zeus Subohm tank but what an awesome kit this would of been if they had been paired up together (kit of the year possibly). Of course with how durable the device is and having an IP67 waterproof rating added to just how solidly the device performs the Aegis X is a cracking device but it doesn't seem to have the greatest battery life. It's possibly a bit unfair as i have just been reviewing a couple of Ultroner devices that have simple efficient boards but the battery life while not being shocking by any means i found to definitely be below average for a dual 18650 device. Back to pros and the Aegis X will accommodate up to a 28mm Atty without overhang and is fully firmware upgradeable. The device also supports 2A balanced charging although i really wouldn't recommend charging inside any device unless it's your only option, on top of that if the silicone plug that keeps the USB water tight is constantly being removed i would imagine over time that seal would become compromised. 4. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the VIY Pod Kit from Vsticking. The VIY Pod Kit was supplied for the purpose of this review by Honyqin from Vsticking. Introduction Vsticking are a relatively new vaping manufacturer who have pinned their colours firmly to using the YiHi chipsets in their products. Their first offering was an excellent value for money dual 18650 TC device called the VK530 which was powered by the YiHi SX530 chipset and offered good build quality for it's price point. Coming soon they will be releasing a portable device featuring YiHi's latest ESS Driver technology and in the meantime we have a pod system called the VIY. The VIY is powered by the YiHi SX270 chipset and offers 2 power levels, anti-burn technology and adjustable airflow. Featuring a physical fire button, fair sized battery and coming in 4 different colours let's give the VIY a look! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1x Vsticking VIY Pod Kit with Yihi Chipset 750mAh 1x USB Cable 1x Warranty Card 1x User Manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The VIY comes in cardboard packaging with outer cardboard sleeve and on opening we have the device with installed pod in the upper tray with paperwork and USB cable below. I received the Black version, the options are Blue, Red, Black and Champagne, the devices are quite plain but have a large rectangular Silver fire button much the same as on the iPV Aspect which gives it an aesthetic feature alongside it's quite unique form. The device is quite flat and a portable size with most of the tinted pod protruding from the device, the mouth piece flattens towards where it will be between the lips and the pod has one flat edge and one steeply tapered again adding to the overall unique shape. The device for it's small size has quite a bit of weight being made out of Zinc Alloy and the build quality is very good. Bottom left we have a large cutout section which will allow for the use of a lanyard although one isn't included, central bottom on the face of the device we have the Vsticking logo carved into the metal. Above the fire button we have 4 LED's which are for both power level and battery status indication and the reverse of the device is plain apart from 2 visible small screws. Both sides towards the top we have pill shaped cutouts one of which will line up with the adjustable airflow on the pod, on one side underneath the cutout we have the charging micro USB port with a small charging indicator LED next to it. ___________________________________________________________________ VIY Specs and Features: Size: 90.62 x 41.26 x 12.61mm Material: Zinc Alloy Battery: Built-in 750mAh Chipset: Yihi SX270 Chipset 2 Power Modes: 9W(Low Wattage); 9W-12W(High Wattage) Output Voltage: 3.0-3.5V E-juice Capacity: 1.8ml Coil: 1.0ohm SS316 Airflow: Adjustable Portable pod kit with Yihi chipset Compact size and exquisite design Anti-dry burn technology 750mAh Built-in battery and 2 power modes 1.8ml Refillable pod with easy bottom filling Innovative coil with adjustable airflow Colours: Blue, Red, Black, Champagne ___________________________________________________________________ The Pod As mentioned the pod is tinted and has one straight edge and one on a slant which gives it quite a strange look, although the pod is tinted i had no issues seeing the juice level with the pod in or out the device. The pod houses a 1.0ohm SS coil and has a capacity of 1.8ml, but sadly only one pod is included and the coils are not replaceable which just isn't fair on vapers parting with their cash, all pod systems should come with at least 2 pods/coils. Looking at the bottom of the pod we have 2 Gold plated contacts and a silicone section with a flap to one edge of the pod. Lifting this flap up reveals a very generous fill port while the silicone section stays attached to the pod, i had no issues filling the pod whatsoever. Looking inside the pod plenty of cotton is on show so you really do need to let the pod sit once filled for at least 5 minutes before vaping to let it get saturated. On one side of the pod we have a plastic grooved section which can be moved up or down to alter airflow. ___________________________________________________________________ The Airflow As mentioned at the end of the last section on one side of the pod we have a plastic section which moves up or down on tracks (it has 2 positions). The plastic section has grooves allowing you to use your nail to easily move it and it has a hole in it which gets lined up with one of two holes on the pod itself. When the plastic piece is in the down position the hole is lined up with a hole the same size on the pod so the airflow is fully open, when moving the plastic piece to the up position the hole is now lined up with a much smaller hole on the pod for a tighter draw. So only 2 airflow positions but as 90% of pod devices have no adjustable airflow whatsoever a massive pro for it on the VIY! ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Pod Looking inside the pods bay we can see the 2 Gold plated, spring loaded contacts and screws either side which holds the device together. On each outside edge we have a pill shaped cutout which line up with the airflow however this doesn't mean the pod can be fitted either way as the back of the device at the top is slightly pinched which both only allows the pod to be fitted one way and also helps to make it a tight fit. However One of the cutouts definitely is for allowing air to the adjustable airflow while the other is simply matchy, matchy for aesthetic purposes. The pod simply gets press fitted into place with the already mentioned slightly pinched section at the top of the back of the device keeping it a very tight fit, absolutely no movement whatsoever, cracking job! ___________________________________________________________________ Operating The VIY The VIY is 3 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 3 clicks to turn off, when turning on to confirm the 4 little LED's above the fire button light up in turn from left to right, when turning off they light up in turn in the opposite direction. If you press the fire button while off the LED's just flash indicating the device has power but is not switched on. Once on the device is in high wattage mode which gives a constant 3.5V (12W) until the battery no longer can deliver 3.5V and then it becomes a direct output device until it reaches 3.0V. The device does have 2 wattage levels the other one being low wattage which gives a constant 3.0V (9W). To change between wattage modes is 5 quick clicks of the fire button, which need to be quick to bypass the power down feature but i didn't have any issues. The modes just switch with each 5 clicks, when low wattage is chosen which will be indicated by the 2 centre LED's flashing 3 times (which is 9w) the device gives a low constant voltage output. High wattage which is indicated by the first and last LED's flashing 3 times (which is 9w to 12w) and as mentioned limits the voltage output to 3.5v giving 12w until the battery can no longer give 3.5v it then works as a direct output device down to 3.0V. As usual the device has safety protections which are indicated by various flashes of the LED's. ___________________________________________________________________ Protections: Low Voltage Protection Short Circuit Protection Over-Heat Protection Low Resistance Protection ___________________________________________________________________ Battery Status and Charging Indication The VIY has very good battery status indication which again makes use of the 4 LED's above the fire button. While vaping if all 4 LED's light up the battery is between 75% and 100%, when 3 light up it's between 50% and 75%, when 2 light up it's between 25% and 50% and when only 1 light comes on the battery is less than 25%. After pressing the fire button to take a vape the indication light/lights stay on for 5 seconds giving you plenty of time to check the status. The VIY charges via the micro USB port on the side of the device, while charging the little battery indicator light next to the port lights Red, once fully charged the light goes out. It takes about 1 and a half hours to charge which i would like to see a bit quicker but it does support pass-through. ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The VIY I do sometimes think not another pod system but the VIY turned out to be a very good one catering for MTL vapers rather than being more suited for restrictive lung vapers like so many tend to. The adjustable airflow works well with the tighter setting giving a cigarette type draw while fully open it gave a looser MTL but definitely not more suited for a restricted lung vape. Despite all the specs giving the wattage depending on power setting the device is actually operating in temp control and giving anti burn protection which i like a lot. I tried various e-liquids and before changing between different juices i allowed the pod to run dry and the protection kicked in as it should. I tried 50/50 nic salts, some of my 66% VG DIY liquid and a 80VG and all wicked fine but also no flooding with the thinner 50/50. The pod did take a couple of fills though to fully break in but then i did manage about a dozen fills before any noticeable drop off in flavour so more than satisfied with longevity although only receiving one pod which is a big con i could of got a lucky pod i suppose. Absolutely no complaints about the flavour the pod produced as it was easily above average (comparable to other pods). The 750mAh battery goes a long way with such a low powered device but i did find charging longer than i would like but at least it supports pass-through. The pod is a weird shape but actually was very comfortable and i had no issues seeing my juice level. Finally it has one of the best battery status indication set-ups on a pod device giving 4 tiers rather than the usual 3 and evenly spaced out so you pretty much always know exactly how much life you have left on the device. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Well built device Unique form factor Portable, ergonomic device Metal construction 4 Colour options 2 Power levels Adjustable airflow Anti burn protection Yihi Chipset MTL device (cigarette pull and looser MTL draw) Found filling mess free No issues seeing juice level Worked well with various PG/VG ratio e-liquids Above average flavour Got good pod longevity Excellent battery status indication Pod fits with no movement Good battery life Supports pass-through Cons Only one pod provided Break in period before flavour at it's best Quite slow charging I would once again like to thank Honyqin from Vsticking for supplying the VIY Pod Kit for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  5. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the GAEA 200W Stabilized Wood Box Mod from Ultroner. The Gaea was supplied for the purpose of this review by SAC who deals with marketing for Ultroner and 3 other vaping manufacturers. Introduction Ultroner are known for their affordable stabwood devices and long standing partnership which as now expired with Asmodus and have just released a few products independently three of which are the Mini Stick, the Aether and the Victory, all of which i have reviewed recently. Here we look at another Ultroner device, the Gaea which is a variable power 200W regulated device which comes in some beautiful stabwood finishes and accommodates dual 18650 batteries. The Gaea is a power only device having no temp control but does come with wattage, Voltage and Bypass modes, but no bells and whistles settings. The device both looks stunning (in my opinion) and feels great in the hand being a nice compact rounded shape much like the G-Class but smaller, let's give it a look! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: Gaea Mod Manual Polishing Cloth Velvet Carry Pouch ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The Gaea comes in a flip open cardboard box with viewing window so you can see the device in all it's glory before opening. The colours tend to be listed as Red, Green or Blue but each one is unique and i have seen pictures showing the main colour to be different including Yellow, the one i received has a main colour of Red, with quite a bit of Black present. There does seem to be far more single battery stabwood devices than dual probably as they can be quite bulky but Ultroner have done a cracking job of keeping the size of the Gaea down as it's quite a compact dual battery device all things being considered. It has a very ergonomic oval shape much like the G-class and with a protruding Stainless Steel face plate underneath which the PCB is fitted. The main body is stabwood with a lacquered coating then we have the battery door, top plate and already mentioned face plate which is Stainless Steel. On the face plate we have a protruding round Stainless Steel fire button top which is followed by a decent sized colour screen, we then have horizontally positioned pill shaped Stainless Steel navigational buttons (again they protrude) and finally at the bottom the micro USB port. The base is the battery door which has branding and safety marks very nicely engraved much as you would expect on a trophy, moving up top we have a stainless Steel plate. The 510 plate appears to sit flush but if you run your finger across you can feel it's raised an hair which is just enough to protect the surface while giving no visible gaping, the 510 is spring loaded. ___________________________________________________________________ Gaea Specs and Features: Size: 45 x 91 x 39mm Material: Stainless Steel + Stabwood Voltage Output Range: 1V~8.0V Battery Type: Dual 18650 Batteries (Not included) Chipset: Sevo-200W Input Voltage: 6.6~8.4V Power Range: 5~200W Static Current: 0.12mA Value Range: 0.1~3ohm Compact dual 18650 stabwood device Simple efficient chipset featuring VW/VV/Bypass Ergonomic Design Thread: 510 Colours: Each one unique ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Batteries The dual 18650 batteries are fitted via the bottom hatch door and i'm well happy that orientation is marked White on Black so can easily be seen. When the hatch door is open it does have quite a bit of movement but it needs it for the hinged design to fasten and feels solid enough. It has quite a thick metal latch which uses the pressure from the batteries to stay securely in place, once the batteries are fitted this door is not opening on it's own accord and we have no movement or rattle whatsoever, very good job! ___________________________________________________________________ The Display The Gaea has a colour screen which is bright, sharp and very well laid out giving all the needed information and is easy to read. At the top of the display we have the 2 battery status bars one either side with a padlock to show if the device is locked or unlocked between. Underneath all information has a central orientation, first we have the mode then underneath either the wattage or voltage depending which mode you are in. Next we have the resistance followed by either volts (when in wattage mode) or watts (when in voltage or bypass modes), this is followed by the puff count. Finally at the bottom of the display we have a vape time progress bar which fills while vaping up to 10 seconds. Ultroner have used colour well on the display making the display aesthetically pleasing without going overboard giving a too busy appearance, very nice! ___________________________________________________________________ Navigating The Gaea The Gaea is powered by the SEVO-200 chip which has been designed for simplicity, intuitive operation and efficiency. To turn the device on and off is 5 clicks of the fire button and once on pressing both navigational buttons together locks the device completely so it won't fire. You can't just lock the navigational buttons which i wish was an option as the buttons protrude but decent force is needed when adjusting the navigational buttons so i can't see wattage being altered by accident. The device's screen turns off after 15 seconds of inactivity which is done along with the simplicity of the board to help with efficiency and i don't mind this at all because after taking a vape 15 seconds is plenty long enough to read and take in whatever information you want from the screen and when firing from standby the device still fires instantly with no delay whatsoever. To change modes you need to click the fire button 3 times in quick succession (if you have an atomizer up top you will hear it firing, this fires very quickly). Each 3 clicks takes you to the next working screen, the Gaea has 3 working modes which are Wattage, Voltage and Bypass. The only other feature available is the puff counter which can be reset or you can set a limit, to access the puff counter press the fire and down buttons together which automatically resets it, if that's all you wanted to do press fire to continue vaping or you can use the navigational buttons to set a limit before pressing fire. That's it! a user friendly menu with no bells and whistles for those that like to keep things nice and simple. ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Gaea and Thoughts I tend to use single battery devices when out and about but found the Gaea a very nice comfortable device to carry about with it's ergonomic shape while then being shocked to find it will accommodate up to a 30mm atty without overhang. I am not going to invent cons just to please people i really just can't find anything negative to say with any cons simply being the nature of the device like it doesn't have loads of settings or TC but then that's the point it's a simple power device that just works great! The fire button is in a nice position and very easy to find and the device fires instantly with excellent ramp up, the Sevo chip might be simplistic in nature but it does an awesome job with all wattage's i vaped at seeming very accurate and resistances reading on par when comparing to one of my DNA devices, i also like that it adjusts in 1W increments. I like that's it's three quick clicks of the fire button to move between working modes making it simple to operate and all 3 modes worked excellently and my only real moan is not having the option to just lock the navigational buttons. I found the Gaea to be very efficient with dual batteries lasting me a couple of days and i vape a lot, certainly above average battery life i have been getting from it. As mentioned the Gaea will accommodate up to 30mm atty's without overhang and does support on board charging (although i never recommend) and upgrades so really think in future Ultoner need to start using a type C USB and feel the Gaea should of had one. A couple of Nick's handcrafted Stabwood drip tips looking stunning on top of the Zeus and Serpent! (Check them out!) ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Excellent build quality Unique Stabwood finishes Protective lacquered finish Aesthetically pleasing Ergonomic compact shape Easy to find fire button Fired instantly with impressive ramp up Wattage, Voltage and Bypass modes All modes worked great Wattage's and resistances accurate Efficient simple device Accommodates up to 30mm atty's without overhang Very secure battery door Very visible marked battery orientation Dual battery device (200W) Adjusts in 1W increments Cons No TC or bells and whistles settings (but that's the point of this simple device) Can't lock just navigational buttons only the whole device Not a type C USB I would once again like to thank SAC and Ultroner for supplying the GAEA 200W Stabilized Wood Box Mod for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  6. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Amulet Pod System from Uwell. The Uwell Amulet Pod System was supplied for the purpose of this review by Pearl from Cigabuy. Introduction Uwell best known for their series of Crown Tanks and more recently the very well received Caliburn bring us the Amulet, the first but no doubt not the last pod watch. The Amulet has a basic smart watch appearance giving the time and then the main body can be detached from the strap section to reveal it's a pod vaping device. The Amulet is a basic draw activated pod device with a small 370mAh battery and accommodates 2ml capacity pods with shallow mouthpiece. Of course it is somewhat of a gimmick but how does it vape? let's find out! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1 x Uwell Amulet Pod Kit 1 x Micro USB Cable 1 x User Manual Information Cards ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and ergonomics The Amulet comes in a plastic container with a cardboard sleeve and on opening the container the assembled pod watch is nicely presented. The device only comes in Black and is very easy to describe as it looks just like an oversized smart watch with silicone sports strap. The Black face of the watch/device has a mirrored type finish and it fitted very well on my wrist so therefore very portable and ergonomic. The device can be used independently of it's frame and strap where it becomes very much a small stealth device. ___________________________________________________________________ Amulet Specs and Features: Material: PCTG, Polycarbonate, Silicone Size: 47.7 x 37.5 x 17.2 mm Net Weight: 27g Juice Capacity: 2ml Battery Capacity: 370mAh Maximum Wattage: 10W Resistance of Coil: 1.6Ω The draw-activated mechanism is simple and easy to use. The PCBA is dust-proof, effectively protects the core unit of the device. The chip has multiple circuit protection functions to supply stable, safe and reliable performance. Touch to wake up the screen, check the date and time at any time. Refillable pod, cost-effective to use. Simple and compact appearance. It can be worn as a watch to free your hands. Colour Option: Black ___________________________________________________________________ The Amulet's Main Sections The Amulet has a frame for the device to clip into which is worn on the wrist. It has a silicone sports strap much the same as on the Apple watch and each side has a retractable rod for easy removal which makes me believe different colour straps will be available soon. The main device gets secured in place by guiding the top mouth section into a cavity shaped for it then pressing into place the bottom which clicks it secure into the frame. On the outside of the frame we have a release button which you need to press to release the device, the catch that holds the device in place uses the USB port as a notch for the catch to hold the device secure which i'm not sure is such a good idea! ___________________________________________________________________ The Pod The pod is a shallow rectangular shape which holds 2ml of e-liquid which has a very low profile central mouth section. The pod is tinted but seeing your juice level when detached isn't an issue although when it's attached light can't pass properly through so seeing the level clearly just isn't possible and a major con, we also have a min fill line which again is hidden when in place so pretty much pointless. Looking at the bottom of the pod we have your two contacts and the hole which will lead to the membrane switch. To one side we have quite a large silicone bung which stays attached to the pod when lifted up which reveals a very generous fill port and as already mentioned when filling because the pod is detached seeing the juice level isn't any issue, good job! The pod accommodates a Kanthal vertical coil with a 1.6ohm coil so the device will be low power and the 2ml of liquid will go a long way. The pod is a sealed unit so the coil can't be replaced and only one pod is included which just isn't good enough! ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Pod The device allows the pod to be fully visible at the front and sides as it press fits into place secured by using 2 tracks on the back of the screen section that protrudes, this back section stops light passing properly through the pod so i had real difficulties seeing the juice level. When looking inside the pods bay we can see the 2 Gold plated, spring loaded contacts and the hole that leads to the membrane switch, this all has a silicone surround and it's a really neat and tidy job. The pod fits very securely with no movement and the groove texture on both sides of the pod is needed for grip when removing it. ___________________________________________________________________ The Watch Face (Screen) The front of the device that faces you when it's clicked into the watch frame is a mirrored black panel which although main purpose is being a watch does give certain vaping information. Top left we have the resistance and top right the battery status bar. Then in very large font we have the hour and minutes underneath. Bottom left we have the date and finally bottom right the day, the display is very bright and as a watch it does it's job! ___________________________________________________________________ Navigating The Amulet The Amulet is a simple draw activated device so when switched on simply take a draw to vape. On the left side of the device we do have a physical button which can be used to switch the device on and off by clicking it quickly 5 times. The display only stays on for about 10 seconds so if you need to see the time when the screen is off simply press the button once and the display comes back on, long pressing the button (for 4 seconds) flips the screen. To set the time and date you need to click the button 3 times which brings up all the values that can be changed with the current item that can be altered blinking, each press of the button moves to the next item that can be altered. The watch screen has two virtual buttons left and right which are used during setting the time and date altering values up or down, setting and going back to the main watch screen is done by long pressing the side button. ___________________________________________________________________ Protections The Amulet has all the usual protections you would expect: Over-vape Protection (8s) Open Circuit Protection Short Circuit Protection Low Power Protection Temperature Protection ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Amulet After using the device i have to be honest and say i much prefer to wear a watch and have a separate vaping device and the Amulet does have a novelty feel to it which no doubt will be copied several times before pod watches disappear as just that (was a fad or novelty), after saying that many will be interested in getting one and why not! The watch is comfortable to wear and the fact you need to press the side button to show the time as it doesn't stay displayed for long really didn't bother me although it might bother others. With the device being all plastic and using the USB as the support for the catch with no metallic surround for support does worry me that over time the shell could start to crack but after a couple of weeks of use mine is holding up well, i guess only time will tell if this does become an issue. Of course once the wearable pod watch novelty wears off the device can just be used independently as a stealth pod device. When it comes to vaping the Amulet surprised me as it vapes great with both a draw and flavour very similar to the Caliburn, a loose MTL but definitely not DL (just a very nice draw). I have been using it for a couple of weeks alongside testing other products and the flavour is showing no sign of dropping off so really decent longevity which is a good job as you only receive one pod. The Amulet vaped equally well with both 70VG freebase and 50/50 nic salts. Using independently of the frame and strap just as a stealth pod device (which of course still displays the time) it would be one of the best pod devices available for it's draw and flavour but i did have issues. The first issue being not able to see your juice level very well and another being it's shocking battery life, sometimes what sounds like a puny battery life can surprise but not on this occasion. The low profile mouth section also needs getting use to and i just couldn't avoid my lips coming in contact with the main section of the pod, it's quite a warm vape and any form of chain vaping became too hot on my lips. The device is direct output but with the resistance being 1.6ohm any drop off seemed minimal and although battery life was not good it did charge in 40 minutes while supporting pass through. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Pod watch concept well executed Large bright display Device can be used independently of frame and strap Device fits in frame securely Pod fits securely No issues filling Virtual buttons for altering time and date Device can be turned on and off Release button Simple draw activated device Very nice loose MTL draw (comparable to Caliburn) Very good flavour (comparable to Caliburn) Good pod longevity Charges in 40 minutes while supporting pass through Multiple safety protections Cons Shocking battery life Only one pod included Lips got too hot with any form of chain vaping Question mark about durability of using USB port for holding catch Can't see juice level very easily without moving pod Mouthpiece felt strange Only one colour option I would once again like to thank Pearl from Cigabuy for supplying the Amulet Pod system for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  7. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Pyro V3 RDTA from Vandyvape. The Pyro V3 RDTA was supplied for the purpose of this review by Viktor from Vandyvape. Introduction Here we have the latest offering from Vandyvape, the third version of the Pyro RDTA. If a certain product is released that's met favourably the name can be milked with version after version but actually i have no issue with this as long as the product is improved with each release. I reviewed the original Pyro and liked it to the point that because i didn't receive version 2 to review i bought it and here we have V3 and each version has seen an improvement of which was already a very good RDTA. In fact i am really pleased to see this release as not enough RDTA's in my opinion are released compared to other options and since the introduction of including BF pins they have been given a whole new life of their own. The Pyro V3 offers a two part airflow system which is completed when the top-cap is placed in position offering adjustable honeycomb side and bottom airflow which is always lined up. The deck allows for an easy dual or single build and it has much larger wicking ports than is usually the case with RDTA's. We have 2 fill ports on the base of the deck which get sealed when the top-cap is put in place and if using the BF pin we have possibly the best system yet when using a BF pin with an RDTA, the Pyro V3 is well worth of a good look! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1pc Vandy Vape Pyro V3 RDTA 1pc Spare Parts Bag 1pc User Manual 1pc Pyrex Glass Tube 1pc Coil Lead Guide 2pcs Fused Clapton Coil 0.33ohm ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics The Pyro V3 RDTA comes in cardboard packaging with viewing window which revealed i had received the Frosted Grey version, the colour options are, Stainless Steel, Matte Black, Rainbow, Gun metal, Gold, Blue and Frosted Grey. Up top we have a rather nice Resin wide bore 810 drip tip which is a Goon fitting so will please most giving them the option of fitting their own. The top-cap(sleeve) has a castle effect design towards the top purely for aesthetic purpose and also is in keeping with previous versions, we then have dual honeycomb airflow in the shape of the letter "T" much the same as what is on the Drop RDA. On one side of the sleeve we have "PYRO" carved into the metal on the vertical and the sleeve also steps to the drip tip. Underneath the top-cap(sleeve) we have the narrow glass section followed by the flat base. The base has an o-ring mid diameter for sealing when squonking and we have all the usual printed branding and safety stamps. The Pyro V3 RDTA comes pre-installed with a Gold plated standard 510 pin and as with previous versions of the Pyro the build quality is very good! ___________________________________________________________________ Pyro V3 RDTA Specs and Features: Size: 37mm*24mm Material: Stainless Steel, Glass Capacity: 2ml Advanced airflow intake system Optimized filling structure Enhanced bottom airflow design Thread: 510 Colours: Stainless Steel, Matte Black, Rainbow, Gun metal, Gold, Blue, Frosted Grey ___________________________________________________________________ RDTA RDTA's (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizers) were as the name suggests originally meant to be drippers with a tank as a reservoir, so rather than getting dry hits if you don't drip often enough the cotton draws juice from the tank. Although the name RDTA has stuck i personally don't know anyone who actually drips using an RDTA they tend to be treated as top coiler RTA's having the advantage of dripper flavour while drawing juice from a tank and as mentioned the inclusion of a BF pin allows a squonk bottle to become an extension of their capacity. ___________________________________________________________________ The PYRO RDTA's Various Parts Up top we have a Goon fitting Resin wide bore 810 drip tip, then we have the top-cap(sleeve) which has an inner section which is part of the airflow system that spins freely. We have the deck section with central pipe underneath to attach to the flat base, the 2ml capacity glass tube fits between the two secured and sealed with o-rings (a spare glass tube is included). The base section has an o-ring mid diameter so although most recent BF devices i have used don't tend to give seepage between the device's and atty's BF pins this will give a seal preventing e-liquid going on to your device if this does happen. The RDTA comes pre-installed with a standard 510 pin also a BF pin is included. Also included is a coil length cutting tool, Allen key, throw in the bin little blue screwdriver, 510 adaptor, spare screws, o-rings and finally a pair of fused clapton coils with full specs. Fused Clapton Specs: Ni80 26ga*2+35ga ID: 2.8mm 6 wraps 0.33ohms (per coil) Recommended Wattage 40-55W ___________________________________________________________________ The Airflow This is the standout feature of the Pyro V3 as it has quite a complex airflow system giving honeycomb style airflow to the sides of the coils but also bottom airflow. What's cool here is the system would make the deck very busy making building a little awkward and leaving nowhere to fill the tank, this is solved by having it in 2 sections with the main system being attached to the inside of the sleeve. When the sleeve is lowered into place the bottom protruding section of the airflow system inside the sleeve slots into position both sides over the fill ports interlocking in place which keeps everything lined up but also seals the ports. The outer sleeve has "T" shaped honeycomb airflow inlets both sides and when the inner section is locked in place turning the sleeve closes down the airflow or you can even shut the bottom off altogether and just have side airflow while it always stays perfectly lined up. The horizontal of the "T" gives your side airflow while the vertical feeds a tunnel that goes underneath the deck then comes up through honeycomb outlets underneath the coils. The airflow underneath the coils is like a half pike design and has 8 holes directly underneath the coils and 2 each on both end ramps to give lower side airflow. On the outer "T" airflow inlets we have 12 holes on the horizontal and 6 holes on the vertical giving 18 holes each side in total. Finally when looking inside the sleeve you can see the space left which reveals once fitted a reduced chamber will be created which will help with flavour. ___________________________________________________________________ Filling On the deck we have 2 good size fill ports so air can escape from one while using the other to fill, the tank section capacity according to the specs is 2ml (TPD compliant) but i measured slightly over 3ml (happy days). Personally if a BF pin is included that's how i use an RDTA so once i initially fill it after a build i keep the tank topped up by squonking. Normally with an RDTA when using a BF pin the liquid goes up through the pin then out a side hole towards the top of the connecting pipe between the base and deck into the tank which works ok but isn't ideal. On the Pyro V3 the liquid goes up the pin into the bottom of the deck section but doesn't enter the deck but gets diverted to the side then down through a hole in the ceiling (the underside of the deck) to fill the deck, this is the best method i have come across to date on an RDTA! ___________________________________________________________________ The Deck and Build With the bulky part of the airflow system being attached to the inside of the top-cap(sleeve) there is really good access to a wide open deck making doing the build easy. I did a dual build which is how most will use the Pyro V3 but you are limited really room wise to coils with 3.0mm ID or smaller. You can do a single build but i would recommend a minimum of 4.0mm ID to both get full advantage of the airflow system and give enough cotton to poke through the large wicking ports else you could constantly flood the deck. The way most of the airflow system is on the inside of the sleeve has allowed for a postless style of fitting your coils feeding your leads in from above and tightening the screws from the sides (the screw heads are dual flathead/philips and nice and chunky). I found leads of 6mm just right (would go 7mm for single coil) then simply place your leads in the terminals holding the coil in place while tightening your screws. Once both coils are in place you can use a coiling rod or fit for purpose tool to manoeuvre your coils into the perfect position using the bottom half pike shaped airflow as a guide. If you don't want to rely on the tilt of the tank while vaping to feed your cotton i would advise you leave your cotton ends quite long then simply tuck through the wicking ports just don't let them go right to the bottom of the tank. If the build sounded anything but easy then that's my fault as doing a build on the Pyro V3 really is a piece of cake! Cotton ends could of been left a little longer! ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Pyro V3 RDTA I used the supplied coils and tried the Pyro V3 with both standard and BF pins with the same build which came out to 0.17ohm. I am struggling to find a con for this RDTA so just to have one am going to be really picky pointing out that when chain vaping after a while the tank gets extremely hot but then that's to be expected. It's pros all the way for me, the airflow is the smoothest i have experienced with an RDTA and while the honeycomb airflow gives the usual restriction it does give more air than expected so closed the side airflow down slightly for the restriction i like. The flavour i got was impressive and even when experimenting with the bottom airflow closed it still gave above average flavour but after opening the flavour improved further still. I preferred using in BF mode using the squonk bottle as an extension of it's capacity and it worked great this way. When using with the standard pin although as mentioned it holds more than the claimed 2ml of liquid it ploughs through the liquid (should be more efficient if using a single coil) but filling is quick and easy and as having a bigger glass would in my opinion make it too tall i don't consider it worthy of a con. Having the main section of the airflow system attached to the inside of the sleeve which then detaches from the deck when the sleeve is removed allows for a complex airflow system that delivers and gives a reduced chamber area while still allowing plenty of space to work while building, i also like the way they used this to their advantage to essentially seal the fill ports when fixed together, i just like the way it's been executed a lot. Each Pyro RDTA has been better than the one before so if a V4 is ever released it should be something a bit special as i find it hard to see how V3 can be much improved on, it's a cracking RDTA! ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Very good build quality 7 colour options Very clever airflow structure Smoothest airflow i have had from an RDTA Impressive flavour Decent amount of air for honeycomb style airflow design Side and Bottom airflow Dual chunky screw heads Very easy build Dual or single coil build Included standard and BF pin Worked great with BF pin Clever way the liquid gets fed from BF pin Capacity better than claimed 2ml Spare glass Included coils with full specs Included coil length cutting guide 2 Nice sized fill ports Large wicking ports Cons When chain vaping the tank gets extremely hot I would once again like to thank Viktor from Vandyvape for supplying the Pyro V3 RDTA for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  8. Hi UKVapers, In this review i take a look at the VICTORY 60W BOX MOD from Ultroner. The ULTRONER VICTORY 60W BOX MOD was supplied for the purpose of this review by SAC who deals with marketing for Ultroner and 3 other vaping manufacturers. Introduction Ultroner are known for their affordable stabwood devices and long standing partnership with Asmodus and have just released a few products independently two of which are the Mini Stick and the Aether, both i have reviewed recently. Here we look at another Ultroner device, the Victory which is a variable power 60W regulated device which comes in some beautiful stabwood finishes and accommodates a single 18650 battery. The device is power only having no temp control but does come with wattage, Voltage and Mech (Bypass) modes, but no bells and whistles settings. The device both looks stunning (in my opinion) and feels great in the hand being a nice compact design with plenty of curves to make it an ergonomic dream. i will stop gushing over this gorgeous device and crack on! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: One Victory Mod One Velvet Bag One Cleaning Cloth One User Manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics I normally do a detailed description in this section but this is easily the nicest looking device i have used and the ergonomics are spot on so i feel i just can't do it justice, so i will let the pictures do the talking! Note: Faceplate, Battery Tube, Battery Cap and Beefy air fed 510 Plate: Stainless Steel. Main Body: Stabwood with lacquered finish 510: Gold plated and Spring Loaded ___________________________________________________________________ Victory Specs and Features: Dimensions: 88mm*55mm*35mm Chipset: SEVO-60 Construction: Stabilised wood + Stainless steel Wattage output: 5W-60W Maximum voltage output: 8V Coil resistance range: 0.1 ohms – 3.0 ohms Battery: 18650 x 1 (Not included) Micro-USB Charge Port Threaded Battery Door Three Vaping Modes: Wattage, Voltage, Bypass Thread: 510 Colours: Black, Blue, Green, Purple (each one unique) ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting the Battery The Victory is a 60W regulated device which accommodates a single 18650 battery. On the bottom of the device we have an old school style of battery cap which has a central bar for grip which can be used for unscrewing the cap. The threading is very smooth and i still prefer this type of design for fitting single batteries as it's very secure and you can't damage your wraps. Some may not like the fact the threading on these caps take quite a few turns to undo or tighten up and although i find long threading on the top-cap of a sub-ohm tank or RTA a pain as liquid needs adding often i don't really see why long threading on a battery cap is an issue as it's not as if you are swapping batteries out every few minutes. ___________________________________________________________________ The Display The display is sharp despite looking blurred on my pictures but that's because it's also extremely bright which the camera i use on my ipod struggles to cope with. On the left side of the display we have the resistance top, then underneath the voltage which displays watts instead when in Voltage or Mech (Bypass) modes, finally at the bottom we have the battery status bar. In the top right section of the display we have the Wattage which will display Voltage instead when in Voltage and Mech (Bypass) modes and underneath we have the mode to the left and puff counter to the right. ___________________________________________________________________ Navigating The Victory The Victory is powered by the SEVO-60 chip which has been designed for simplicity, intuitive operation and efficiency. To turn the device on and off is 5 clicks of the fire button and once on pressing both navigational buttons together locks the device completely so it won't fire. You can't just lock the navigational buttons but the front plate is recessed and decent force is needed when adjusting the navigational buttons so i can't see wattage being altered by accident. The device's screen turns off after 10 seconds of inactivity which is done along with the simplicity of the board to help with efficiency and i don't mind this at all because after taking a vape 10 seconds is plenty long enough to read and take in whatever information you want from the screen and when firing from standby the device still fires instantly. To change modes you need to click the fire button 3 times in quick succession, now using the navigational buttons you can scroll through the 3 modes which are Wattage, Voltage and Mech (Bypass), when the mode you want is highlighted just press fire to select. The only other feature available is the puff counter which can be reset or you can set a limit, to access the puff counter press the fire button twice quickly which automatically resets it, if that's all you wanted to do press fire to continue vaping or you can use the navigational buttons to set a limit before pressing fire. That's it! a user friendly menu with no bells and whistles for those that like to keep things nice and simple. ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Victory And Thoughts The first thing to mention is how gorgeous the lacquered stabwood finish looks and how ergonomic the device is in either hand especially when thumb firing. The main cons for the device are going to be subjective depending on how you vape and what you like. It has no TC for example and it's not loaded with settings but while many like all the bells and whistles and some prefer vaping using TC there will be as many who prefer simple power devices without all the extra baggage. Not accommodating a 21700 battery will also be a con for some but that would of changed the form of the device making it taller and less ergonomic and as it only goes up to 60W then certainly in wattage mode a high drain 18650 does the job perfectly well. I tested the device in all modes and it performs like a little trooper, in Wattage mode all wattage's i tried seemed very accurate across the board, it might be a limited chipset but as the saying goes "it does what it say's on the can" and does it well. The device fires instantly (with a satisfying click) and the domed fire button is very easy to find, thumb firing feels great with the index finger placed on the upper stabwood heel, the other three fingers wrapped around the battery tube unless you have large hands which means the base will rest nicely on your little finger. I know there had been a problem with the Sevo-60 chip from time to time saying their was no battery life and stop firing which would mean slackening and then tightening back up the battery cap to register the true life for the device to carry on normal operation. I have got through countless battery changes and have had no issues at all so they seem to of fixed that issue, which just leaves the only main con which to most like me isn't a big deal but others may find it more annoying. The up and down buttons are the wrong way around which i have noticed happening more often in 2019 as this is far from the first device i have reviewed where this is the case, but it takes seconds to get use to so personally fail to see why people would find it that much of a major issue. The device is ideal for MTL atty's or low wattage single coil RDA's and RTA's and will accommodate up to a 25mm atty without overhanging the plate. You are limited to 25mm atty's max because the back of the plate cuts into the stabwood heel so any bigger just won't fit, also you could have a problem with a 25mm atty that then tapers outwards. The wattage adjusts in 1W increments which i like but very low wattage MTL vapers might want to micro manage the power more precisely. The Victory is a low powered simple device making it efficient and gives full value when it comes to battery life. All that remains is price and their will be two camps, with not much change from $200 dollars many will find this pricey but i have handled around a dozen stabwood devices with this European type form factor which have ranged from $400 to $650 so those into their stabwood devices will find $200 a bargain, and i must agree! ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Aesthetically stunning (subjective) Spot on ergonomics European style curvy form Stabwood and Stainless Steel construction Beautiful Lacquered Stabwood finish Each device unique Very simple to use device Battery cap smooth threading Fires Instantly with accuracy Wattage, Voltage and Mech(Bypass) modes Sharp, bright display Low wattage Efficient device (full value from 18650 battery) Worked great with MTL and single coil DL RDA's and RTA's Cons No TC (only a con for TC users) Navigational buttons the wrong way Not suited for high wattage users IW Increments (a pro for most but low wattage MTL vapers might require more precision) Over 25mm atty's will not fit (also if the base tapers out you are limited to 24mm but then most low wattage atty's are 24mm or less) I would once again like to thank SAC for sending The VICTORY 60W STABWOOD BOX MOD on behalf of Ultroner for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  9. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Tix Pod Kit from Rincoe. The Tix Pod Kit was supplied for the purpose of this review by Nicole from Rincoe. Introduction Rincoe hit the ground running with their first released device which must of been about 18 months ago and have now released quite a few devices of all kinds with very much an up and down reception but overall they are one of the more impressive of the new on the block manufacturers. The Tix is their latest pod device and certainly on first look seems to be their best of this type of product to date and has a pod/billet box look to it similar to the Pal 2. Coming in a multitude of eye catching designs the Tix ticks quite a few boxes as it uses replaceable coil heads, has adjustable airflow and different output settings, let's give it a look! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1x Tix Pod Device 1x Tix Cartridge(Tix Regular 1.0 ohm coil inside) 1x Tix Mesh 0.8 ohm coil 1x Type-C Charging Cable 1x Certificate Card 1x User Manual 1x Warranty Card 1x Lanyard ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The Tix came in Cardboard box packaging with outer cardboard sleeve which has a picture of the chosen design so you know what design is inside the box before opening. I received the UK Flag design which i really like but there is plenty of options which are, Vast Sky, Flame, Galaxy, UK Flag, US Flag, Blazing Skull and Carbon Black. Up top we have a rectangular curved proprietary drip tip (it's attached to the pod/cartridge and not removable) which has a flattened out look to it, then to the upper corner the opposite side to the drip tip we have a rail to fit a lanyard (one is included). On one side of the device we have the design of choice which is cutoff on the diagonal at the top where we have a Black corner section. The side and top of the design has a metallic edging and "RINCOE" is printed on the side section of the metallic edge, on the upper diagonal Black section directly underneath the drip tip we have a little shield with logo which is the fire button. The opposite side is all Back but has the same sections as the designed side, in place of the design we have a textured surface, this side is removable. The spine is featureless then moving to the base we have printed safety stamps and a notch to help remove the side panel. The face of the device is very busy having a cutout for airflow about a third of the way down from the top, towards the bottom we have 2 LED indication lights with a round mode button between, finally we have a vertical positioned type C USB port for charging. As you would expect from a pod/AIO device it's a nice out and about size and although small the shield fire button is easy to find and in a nice position for thumb firing. ___________________________________________________________________ Tix Specs and Features: Parameters Size: 90.7x43x19mm Pod capacity: 2m Power: 10-20W Input: 3.2-4.2V Power output modes: High/full-battery output, Medium/3.65V, Low/3.3V Battery Capacity: 1000mAh Coil resistance: 0.3-3.0ohm Coil: Regular 0.8ohm mesh coil inside, regular 1.0ohm coil Charging specification: 5V/1A Material: Zinc alloy +PC +IML Efficiency: 95% Features: Unique gorgeous shell design Easy side filling design Three working modes Mesh coil provides purer flavor Compact size and comfortable hand feel Convenient and fast Type-C Charging way Deigns: Vast Sky, Flame, Galaxy, UK Flag, US Flag, Blazing Skull, Carbon Black ___________________________________________________________________ The Pod/Cartridge The pod has that now very familiar shape we see with the likes of the Orion and Orion look a like devices, but this one has a fixed drip tip with a flattened out form which luckily as you are stuck with it is comfortable between the lips. The pod holds 2ml of e-liquid and although i don't mind tinted pods as long as the e-juice is still clearly visible this pod is just a little too dark for my liking although you can see the juice level it needed a close look at times. The fill port is on the side and has a silicone section acting as a bung, this section has a flap which is easy to lift up to pull the bung out while still staying attached to the pod. The port is a nice size but it's position did make me think anything other than a needle nose bottle would be messy and a picture on the website seems to confirm a needle nose is needed but i couldn't be more wrong. The pod fills mess free both when out the device or filling when placed in the device, i even found if the pod is less than half full by tilting the pod a coil change was even possible without spillage. The bottom of the pod has the removable circular base section with central positive and negative surround, this also as an airflow control ring. ___________________________________________________________________ The Coils and Airflow As mentioned the circular base section of the pod as an airflow control ring and can be unscrewed from the pod. The airflow control ring as dual slots and we have a textured surface for grip, it moves with a nice tolerance. Unscrewing the base section reveals the coils screw straight into this section and swapping coils is a doddle. The pre-installed coil head is a 0.8ohm mesh coil which is more of a notch style, the other available and included coil is a regular round wire 1.0ohm coil. ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Pod/Cartridge As mentioned earlier this is very much a Billet box influenced style and to fit the pod the back panel needs removing (there is a little notch on the base). We can see a pod shaped bay inside the device with a top opening to allow the drip tip to protrude outside the device. We can also see where the base section of the pod will fit 3 Gold plated, spring loaded contacts and it's a simple case of press fitting the pod/cartridge into position. Once in place we have easy access to fill and adjust airflow and there is no movement whatsoever from the pod/cartridge, it's a very snug fit. Once the panel is in place it must be mentioned although it's very slight and i don't believe it will bother most people their is a bit of play but during use i didn't notice movement. ___________________________________________________________________ Navigating The Device I like the fact the device has a separate fire button for turning the device on and off and firing and mode button which is used for selecting the power output, i also like the fact we have separate LED indication lights for both mode selection and battery status. The device is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off, turning on is confirmed by 3 White flashes from the bottom LED and turning off confirmed by 2 White flashes from the same indication light. The top LED flashes twice in the new setting colour each time the power setting is changed which is done by simply pressing the mode button, each press takes you to the next setting, the settings are: Green = High (actually direct output so will be the highest setting for the first half of the battery life but will decrease in power along with the voltage of the battery) Blue = 3.65V (Medium) Red = 3.3V (Low) When pressing the fire button to vape the bottom LED shows battery status by what colour it lights, the values are: Green = 50% - 100% Blue = 15% - 50% Red = Below 15% When the battery status is shown by pressing the fire button the top LED also lights up in the current power mode colour. When charging via the type C USB port (a type C Cable is included) the indications of battery life follow the same percentages and charging takes almost bang on 1 hour which is very acceptable for a 1000mAh in-built battery. The device also has all the usual safety protections which when they kick in are indicated by various flashes of the LED's. ___________________________________________________________________ Protections Low Battery Protection Short Circuit Protection 8 Seconds Cutoff Pod Detection Charging Protection ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Tix And Thoughts The Tix has a lot going for it but unfortunately the coils are a mixed bag. The 1.0ohm round wire coil i found gave the flavour i would of expected from a pod type device 18 months ago and is way below average compared to a lot of pod/AIO devices of late. The 0.8ohm mesh coil was much better and while not being up there with the very best for flavour it was certainly acceptable being average and more like the flavour to be expected from a pod device in 2019. Really the device will suit you if you are not a chain vaper, i vape a lot but don't tend to take more than a couple of vapes in a row and i found both coils wicked well even with my own DIY 65% VG e-liquid with decent coil longevity but did notice the odd time i tried a bit of chain vaping to test out the coils i got dry hit city followed by a slight burn't taste. I did receive extra coils so i tried fresh coils (both types) vaping much more as a chain vaper would tend to vape and longevity went downhill with both coils only giving about 3 pod fills with flavour at their best. The device gets much better marks from me for it's airflow as not only does it have adjustable airflow but it allowed for both a MTL and restricted direct lung style and i was able to get a MTL vape less loose than these type of devices tend to allow for, the airflow was also quite smooth which isn't usually the case with pod type devices. Although the drip tip is comfortable i would still much prefer to have a choice and the pod/cartridge is a little too darkly tinted to allow seeing the juice level easily, after saying that to check you need to remove the panel anyway so spending a bit of extra time checking the level doesn't make much difference. Other than that the device is really good so if you are not the chain vaping type this could be worth a look. I like the 3 power modes and personally i found i preferred the device with the 0.8ohm mesh coil, a loose MTL draw and on the Blue (3.65V(medium)) setting which gave decent flavour with smooth airflow even if better flavour is available from some of it's competitors. Battery life was very good and only taking 1 hour to charge was another bonus as is having a type C port. Although i prefer 4 or even 5 tiers of battery indication i did find the indications nicely spread out and fit for purpose. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Very nice build quality Plenty of design options Aesthetically pleasing device (subjective) Portable device Billet box styled pod/AIO device Pod fits very securely 3 Power Modes Separate Mode selection button and indication LED Physical fire button (can also turn device on and off) Fire button shaped like a shield (subjective but i really like it) Battery status indication Replaceable coils Adjustable airflow Mid to loose MTL or restrictive direct lung Both available coils included I had mess free experience filling the pod Drip tip (mouthpiece) comfortable 0.8ohm coil gave decent (average) flavour Coil longevity average (as long as you don't chain vape) Type C USB Just 1 hour to charge 1000mAh battery (gave good life) Cons 1.0ohm Coil gave below par flavour Both coils do not like any form of chain vaping which reduced longevity Panel needs removing to check juice level and pod is darkly tinted Proprietary fixed drip tip Very slight movement with panel I would once again like to thank Nicole from Rincoe for supplying the Tix Pod Kit for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  10. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Zeus Subohm Tank from Geekvape. The Zeus Subohm Tank was supplied for the purpose of this review by Carrie from Geekvape. Introduction The original single coil Zeus RTA was released almost 2 years ago and as someone who prefers single coil RTA's and has a real hate for leaking tanks it's still the atty i use by choice more than any other. After 3 Zeus RTA's bringing bags of flavour to top to bottom airflow designs the Zeus X even as far as Geekvape were concerned should of been the final member of the Zeus family. But here we have the Zeus Subohm tank with a very familiar Zeus look (almost identical to the Zeus X) using the same top to bottom airflow concept and accommodating plug in style mesh coils. I don't usually get over excited by subohm tanks but this is a Zeus! so very eager to give it a good look! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1x Zeus Sub-Ohm Tank (Pre-installed: Mesh Z2 Coil 0.2ohm, 70-80W, capacity 5ml) 1x Coil tool 1x Spare glass tube (3.5ml) 1x Promotion card & warranty card 1x Spare parts pack 1x Mesh Z1 coil (0.4ohm, 60-70W) 1x User manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics The Zeus Subohm Tank came in the usual plain Black sturdy cardboard box that Geekvape samples tend to come in, with listed contents and specs on the back of the box. I received the Stainless Steel version, it's also available in Gunmetal, Black, Red, Blue, Gold and Rainbow, up top we have a Black Delrin wide bore drip tip on all versions. The tank is 25mm at the base but tapers outwards so the top section is 26mm and the bulge glass (standard edition) increases it's overall diameter, pretty much the same dimensions as the Zeus X RTA and very similar looking. It very much has that Zeus look to it with the Zeus logo visible on both sides of the chamber (also 2 large wicking holes on the chamber are visible) and "ZEUS" carved onto the top-cap front and back. The airflow control ring has large dual cyclops and both base section and top-cap has matching grooved texturing for grip, the top-cap then tapers smoothly inwards to meet the 810 Black delrin drip tip. The base has all the usual etched branding and safety marks and the Gold plated 510 protrudes quite a way. Nothing at all to complain about with the build quality it's the same standard as the other Zeus family members. ___________________________________________________________________ Zeus Subohm Tank Specs and Features: Size: 26 x 42.5mm (Not including Drip tip) Materials: Stainless Steel, Silicone Glass Capacity: 5ml(Spare glass tube 3.5ml) /2ml TPD version Drip tip type: 810 Drip Tip Filling Method: Top Fill Airflow: Top to Bottom Mesh Z1 coil 0.4ohm (60-70W) Mesh Z2 coil 0.2ohm (70-80W)(pre-installed) Innovative quick change prebuilt coil system Z mesh coil, purer flavor & great clouds Direct Top Airflow & Top-to-Bottom Airflow with leak-proof function Quick slide coil design for easy operation Updated fill port design for liquid spillage resistance Thread: 510 Colours: Black, Gunmetal, Stainless Steel, Red, Blue, Gold, Rainbow ___________________________________________________________________ It's Various Parts Starting at the top we have a wide bore goon fit delrin 810 drip tip which can be swapped for one of your own if you prefer, no second option or 510 adaptor is provided unless it's included with the retail version but the pre-installed 810 i have no issues with. The top-cap screws off (the usual bayonet design so just a slight turn needed) as does the base section. The glass can be wiggled free as it's secured top and bottom with o-rings and can be replaced with the straight 3.5ml glass (the TPD version comes with 2ml glass only but you do get a spare). The airflow control ring can also be easily removed which leaves the juice port and airflow intake section with attached double walled chamber. The coils get press fitted into the chamber and the base section has a positive plate for the bottom of the coil to make contact with. We get all the usual spare o-rings and also a coil removal tool which is a nice touch but personally i didn't find any need for it. ___________________________________________________________________ The Airflow The Zeus Subohm Tank has a top to bottom airflow system with large dual airflow slots that are fully adjustable. You also have an double walled chamber so the air comes in through the slots, down the cavity between the two chamber walls and into the base section. Now we have the air in the base section just as you would if the tank had bottom airflow slots and this air enters the coil head from underneath in the usual manner giving bottom airflow, it's just taking the top to bottom airflow concept of the Zeus RTA's and implementing it in the least complicated way. I don't like to say leakproof but the system gives the Zeus Subohm tank the same leak resistance that we have seen with the Zeus RTA's. ___________________________________________________________________ The Coils and Fitting Them The Zeus Subohm tank has 2 available coils which are both kanthal mesh and included. Pre-installed we have the Z2 0.2ohm mesh coil head which is rated between 70-80W. The other included coil is the Z1 0.4ohm coil head which has a rating between 60-70W, the specs are etched onto the coil head shell. The mesh is more of a Notch style giving plenty of surface area with large gaps between so wicking will be no issue as was once the case with the first generation notch style designs, the coils also have 4 very large wicking holes. The coil head simply gets press fitted into the chamber and pulled out to remove, if you have any problems pulling the coil head out you do receive a tool to help but i have had no issues. Looking on the chamber we can see 2 large wicking ports to allow e-liquid to surround the coil head as the chambers main purpose was to deliver airflow from the top to the bottom and having plug in coils is cleverly taking advantage of having the chamber present. ___________________________________________________________________ Filling The Tank I need to be picky with the Zeus Subohm tank to find cons so here'e one, and that's the airflow control ring is loose. It actually turns nicely with stoppers and i have no issues with it's operation but when removing the top-cap sometimes the control ring also jumps off the tank, it's nothing major and mine is a sample version. The top-cap is less than half a turn and it's off, it's the same bayonet design Geekvape have used on previously Zeus atty's. Once off the 2 kidney shaped fill ports are revealed which are quite narrow so large nozzles and glass droppers won't fit but most standard nozzles will be fine. Luckily there is quite a deep channel between the edge of the tank and air pipe section so it won't be messy if using larger nozzles, as any juice will gather in the channel and find it's way into the ports. Once filled just position the bayonet tabs in place push down and give it a slight turn. ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Zeus Subohm Tank The Zeus Subohm Tank hasn't tarnished the Zeus name at all as this is right up there with the best subohm tanks available. Like the Zeus X the Subohm tank version gives bags of air and i have to agree with the the coils ratings with airflow fully open which gave decent flavour and copious vapor with both coils. Much preferring a more restrictive vape i needed the airflow only a third open for the restriction i like and found with more restriction came even more flavour (again with both coils) very similar to what i get from the Freemax Fireluke 2, with no experimental wicking material on show i can only put it down to the large surface area with the design of the Geekvape Z coils. Apart from finding the 0.4ohm Z1 better at lower wattage than the 0.2ohm Z2 i really found very little difference between the 2 coils. With the restriction i like the 0.2ohm Z2 coil i found best at 60W and the 0.4ohm Z1 coil at 45W both below the coils ratings but that suited me fine and much more efficient on battery life, i must say the airflow is noticeably smooth throughout. The 5ml capacity (standard version) is decent but just like the Zeus RTA's this tank ploughs through the juice but all that vapor is giving bags of flavour, the gap in flavour between subohm tanks (the best ones) and both RTA's and RDA's you can get a thin piece of paper between they have improved that much over the last 18 months. I got sent the Zeus Subohm Tank the same time as the Bident which i reviewed a couple of weeks ago and it has been in use ever since it's arrival, it's long gone past with both coils what i would consider acceptable (average longevity), both coils are still banging out flavour and have plenty of life left, Cracking Subohm Tank! ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Very good build quality Aesthetics in keeping with the other members of the Zeus family 7 colour options Top to bottom airflow Top fill, less than half a turn and top-cap is off leak resistance design Suffered no leaking whatsoever Double walled chamber Press fitted coils Coil removal tool included (found i never needed it but nice touch) 5ml Capacity (standard version) Spare glass Drip tip very comfortable Can fit your own Goon fit 810 Top of tank doesn't get hot Both available coils included Press fitted coils Excellent flavour (both coils) Above average longevity (both coils) Smooth airflow (both coils) Wicked Excellently (both coils) Cons Airflow control ring sometimes popped off when removing the top-cap Glass dropper nozzles will fill via channel rather than juice port directly just takes a bit longer (most nozzles are fine) Ploughs through juice (as flavour tanks tend to) I would once again like to thank Carrie from Geekvape for supplying the Zeus Subohm tank for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  11. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the RAM BF Squonk Mod from Stentorian and distributed by Wotofo. The Stentorian RAM BF Squonk Mod was supplied for the purpose of this review by Ella from Sourcemore. Introduction Wotofo distributed 3 products brought to us by Stentorian, the first being the AT-7 over 2 years ago which i bought and it must be in the top 5 worse devices i have (it really is a piece of crap and i tend to be positive and optimistic about products), the most recent the Basilisk which has a Geekvape Nova look about it and between the two this device, the Ram BF Squonk Mod. The Ram is a mechanical single 18650 BF device which means there is very little to go over as there is no chip so i won't be boring you for too long. The Ram was released at a time when many manufacturers were producing devices in very large quantities (seems lessons have been learned as theirs more of a lean manufacturing approach of late), so still the Ram is very available but considered old stock so you can now pick it up around 50% of it's original price making it worth a fresh look! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1 x Stentorian RAM BF Squonker MOD 3 x Empty bottles 1 x Manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The Ram came in simple fold open thin cardboard packaging and on opening i found i had received the Green Resin version. The Ram comes in quite a few different Resin colour options with each one being unique due to Resins nature, there is also a Padauk Wood version which has a waterproof coating. The Resin versions have a matte coating to stop fingerprints and this coating combined with the Resin gives the device a slight rubberised texture. One side we have the removable panel with a rectangular (with curved corners) cutout to allow the pressing of the bottle, the opposite side is featureless. The spine again is featureless so moving to the front we have the 24K Gold plated fire button/switch assembly towards the top and "RAM" carved into the Resin at the bottom, but it's quite understated. The base has a Gold plated Stentorian logo badge which is actually the underside of the battery negative plate but overall very little in the way of branding on the device which will please most. Moving up top and to one side we have the Gold plated 510 plate with thick insulator surround to help limit any heat transfer to the device, the Gold plated BF 510 is spring loaded. The device is very box like but is quite small and lightweight, with it's large protruding fire button i found it comfortable to use either as a finger or thumb firer as well as being nice and portable. ___________________________________________________________________ Ram Specs: Size: 77 x 47 x 24mm Material: Resin (Padauk version available) Cell Type: 1x 18650 cell (not included) Bottle: 7ml PET Food Grade Thread: 510 spring thread Features: 1. 3pcs 7ml capacity food grade juice bottle 2. No need to refilling frequently 3. Bottom feeding design 4. 24K gold 510 connector 5. Security lock on fire button 6. PEEK insulation ring prevents the top from being overheated 7. Fit for all 22mm and 24mm diameter atomizers Colours: Padauk Wood, Various Resin Colour Finishes including Black, Purple, Green ___________________________________________________________________ Disclaimer This is a mechanical device, you use at your own risk and i am not responsible. Please do not use this device unless you have full understanding of both ohms law and battery safety, stay safe! ___________________________________________________________________ The Internals The Ram has very tidy internals and it's a nice simple design helped by rather than having a chunky piece of metal feeding down from the negative up top to the negative battery contact we have an insulated wire which is tucked away in a channel. Of course their will be those that might be tempted to point out this isn't a mechanical device as it has a wire but really do you want everyone else to know you haven't got a life! All the metal parts are 24K Gold plated and that also goes for the metal on show on the outside of the device. We have a wide band of insulator above where the switch mechanism makes contact and above a nice strong nut securing the 510, 510 plate and positive Gold plated metal sheet that extends to the battery positive contact, a really neat, nice job all round! ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Battery It is to me and i imagine most people obvious by looking at the internals that the 18650 goes positive up but just because it's obvious to most their should still be clear visible labelled orientation and sadly the Ram has no labelled orientation whatsoever. The battery slides in place snugly without feeling theirs any danger of damaging the wrap which isn't always the case with mechanical squonk devices, we also have an installed battery ribbon for easy removal. The battery panel sits in place with an inner lip inside the device and is secured with a very large magnet which protrudes between the bottle and battery compartments, the panel fits very nicely and there is no movement whatsoever. ___________________________________________________________________ The Squonk Bottles You get 3 squonk bottles included (1 pre-installed) and while i would be the first to moan if their was no spare do we really need 3? I would understand the three bottles if they shared the same top with tube feed and the 2 spare came with solid lids to they could be loaded with juice for a quick bottle switch but sadly not, after saying that it still has to be a pro that 3 are included. I find a lot of squonk bottles can be too soft and much prefer the stiffer silicone bottles which i find just right, the ones included with the Ram are too much in the other direction for my liking being quite a stiff plastic although i have known worse. I do know a few people who squonk and they all prefer different tensions to the bottles so it is a preference and if like me you don't like the bottles they are a standard type fit so you would have no problem getting a bottle to suit you. Fitting the bottle is pretty standard, the bottle has a screw on lid which has tubing that feeds down into the bottle and protrudes out the top. The device has a pipe that extends down from the 510 and you simply fit the protruding tube over the pipe and the bottle then sits in it's compartment. It's slightly fiddly but the saving grace of the stiff bottle means while fitting juice isn't being squirted through the 510 but if you go for a slightly softer bottle i would suggest having your atty installed before installing a full bottle. To fill you simple pull the bottle out towards you to clear the floor of it's compartment and pull down so the tube comes off the pipe. Then simply unscrew the lid and fill making sure you leave enough empty volume for the feed tube. ___________________________________________________________________ Locking Mechanism The fire button/switch has a locking mechanism which is good to see although despite the thin band of knurling on the outside of the fire button it's quite difficult to get a grip and i needed to use a piece of kitchen roll that has a grippy surface. Turning the button clockwise locks the switch and no longer can it depress enough to make contact and fire, turning it anti-clockwise unlocks it! ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Device I must point out i do not have equipment to test voltage drop and even more importantly i must stress once more this is a mechanical device without a chip giving safety protections so only consider if you have full knowledge of ohms law and battery safety. It's not that easy to get a good grip to turn the firing button to lock/unlock the switch mechanism without the aid of something with grip like kitchen roll, whether this over months of use loosens and gets easier to lock/unlock or it's isolated to my device i would be grateful for any comments by those that have used the Ram for a good while. I'm not really concerned about the locking mechanism as the switch has both a very sturdy spring and long throw so i just can't see this firing in my pocket which leads to my main con. The fire button is very stiff due to a very sturdy spring and there is a lot of travel to make contact so quite some force is needed to fire the device. I did get use to it and it's by no means a deal breaker but definitely worth mentioning and again if anyone has had the Ram and used it a lot has their spring become less stiff? Also i find the supplied bottles slightly too stiff for my liking but that is easily remedied so a con but not really a big deal. That being said i love the looks of the device and the Resin is very nice quality, it hits instantly and using it i can see the appeal mechanical devices have. You must make sure you use a quality 18650 with no damage to the wrap that can take the stress and do modest builds, their will always be those that like to test boundaries but personally i used the device with 3 different DL RDA's and kept my builds to between 0.3 and 0.5ohms and then tried the Berserker V2 MTL RTA with a 0.68ohm build as i prefer to stay on the side of caution. It gave just a great vape with all the RDA's i used and of course as the battery weakened so did the vape but that's the nature of mechanical devices, once the power got to the point the vape was too weak to satisfy me i simply installed a fresh battery! Finally the Ram will accommodate up to 24mm atty's without overhang so all your 22mm and 24mm BF RDA's will fit nicely. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Nice build quality Quality Resin Plenty of colour Resin options (also Padauk Wood version) Aesthetically pleasing Very tidy internals All metal parts 24K Gold plated No movement with removable panel when fitted Battery fits nicely Installed Battery ribbon Battery safety section inside manual 3 Bottles included 7ml capacity Device stays cool Lock mechanism Hits instantly 22mm & 24mm atty's fit nicely Cons Stiff firing button with long throw Hard to grip to lock/unlock switch mechanism No labelled battery orientation Bottles slightly too stiff (for my preference) Once again i would like to thank Ella from Sourcemore for supplying the Wotofo Stentorian RAM BF Squonk Mod for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  12. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Defender 80W TC Kit from Starss. The Defender 80W TC Kit was supplied for the purpose of this review by Rebort from Starss. Introduction Starss mainly come to the attention for their recent pod devices most noticeably the Bravo, but in the past have also designed a few mods. The Defender Kit comprises of the very familiar looking Defender Mod which was available in the past on it's own as simply the Starss 80W TC Mod and the Defender Tank which uses mesh coils and has a propeller top-fill design. The Defender is described as having a Hybrid Stone construction with Gold accents in the way of face plate, 510 plate, battery plate, visible battery tube through the spine cutouts and fire button. The defender has power, bypass and TC modes and the colour screen can be customised by altering the RGB values. It's a gorgeous looking device and for those that cry out but it's not an original design please read the next section then i'll crack on with the review! ___________________________________________________________________ It's The CKS VR Stride! Or Is It? Apart from the cut-outs extending completely around the spine (giving it superior ergonomics) and a less busy working screen the Defender is identical both aesthetically and functionality wise including the menu system to whatever VR Stride you might of seen in the past. This nearly left me with egg on the face as i originally was going to criticise the copying of the Stride which Asmodus couldn't seem to make their mind up who they were in collaboration with as it was released in various reincarnations the most recent to my knowledge being the CKS VR Stride. I did some research to find out just how identical the devices are and noticed on all the other Stride devices including the CKS Stride when the battery plate is removed it clearly say's "Designed by Starss" and also any videos for the Starss 80W TC Mod (the original name of the Defender) are previous to the stride so actually the Defender isn't a copy but is the original and still available! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1 x STARSS Defender Mod 1 x STARSS Defender Tank 1 x STARSS V8 Mesh Coil 0.5ohm(pre-installed) 1 x Spare 5ml glass 1 x User Manual 1 x Micro USB Cable 1 x Battery Warning Card ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The Defender Mod and Tank are packed in separate cardboard boxes and an outer cardboard sleeve binds the 2 together to complete the kit. In my opinion the device looks stunning in all colour versions with what is said to be an Hybrid Stone (not sure of the actual material) finish with plenty of shiny metallic Gold sections, the stone type material is polished and looks great when the light catches it! I received the Green version but it's also available in Black, Blue, Red, and Dark Green, all versions come with a Gold Defender Tank. The top has a cut corner where it meets the face of the device and on this slant is where we find the large, domed, Gold fire button with Gold rim. The face of the device has an indented Gold coloured metallic plate which has the Starss logo etched top followed by a decent sized colour screen, this is followed by round, Gold navigational buttons and finally at the bottom a micro USB port. The rest of the body of the device is the Hybrid Stone finish apart from the spine having 3 large cutout sections which extend partially around the sides, the cutouts reveal the Gold outside of the battery tube. The base has a Gold coloured sliding plate with grooves for finger grip and venting, moving up top we have a Gold coloured 510 plate with inner and outer rim, the 510 is Gold plated and spring loaded. The Defender is a thumb firer all the way with the fire button being in the perfect position and cutouts are perfect for resting your 3 main fingers while also giving grip. ___________________________________________________________________ Defender Tank Specs and Features: Size: 26 x 53.5ml Capacity: 5ml Coil: V8 Mesh Coil 0.5ohm Also 0.2ohm Mesh Coil available Propeller top-fill design Bottom airflow Thread: 510 Colour: Gold ___________________________________________________________________ Defender Tank Overview The Defender Tank comes in Gold only which matches the metallic parts of the device, it's 25mm at it's base and 26mm at it's widest. This slight bulge to the glass is barely noticeable and unless looking closely you would think it's a straight glass however the bulge is still enough to give the Defender Tank a 5ml capacity, a spare glass is also included. The included coil is a pre-installed 0.5ohm kanthal (i beleive) mesh coil but although there is also a 0.2ohm Mesh coil option for the tank it's not included in fact the pre-installed coil is the only one provided which is just not good enough. The coil screws into the base section and the top of the coil has threads which screw on to the chimney when screwing the tank secure, the glass is secured and sealed top and bottom by o-rings. The tank has dual airflow slots with stoppers and when i first received the tank the control ring squeaked like a Mouse every time i turned it which went right through me, i also couldn't seem to remove it to try lubrication to solve the problem. In the end just out of desperation i aggressively adjusted the airflow stopper to stopper as quick as i could for a good minute which seemed to of adjusted the squeak out as afterwards adjusting is now silent and the Mouse hasn't returned. Up top we have got what looks to be a very nice Resin 510 drip tip but is quite short, their is no tapering from the top section of the tank to the drip tip so lips will constantly be touching the tank which i really don't like especially once a tank gets hot! Not a problem, i thought as i can just fit my own drip tip but then found it's fitted like a sleeve over a protruding tubular section with o-rings so a proprietary fit which is a big con for me personally. I do like the idea of the top-fill method, it's like a 3 blade propeller design and when turning (we have an arrow on the top section to show the direction to open) 2 of the 3 blades reveal they were covering silicone lined fill holes (it's less than a quarter turn), just press your nozzle into one hole to fill while air escapes from the other. From shut empty tank to shut full tank this must be as quick and easy to fill as any tank available but we have a problem! When turning the top to open or shut it's loose and i mean very loose, if this was much tighter or better still locked this would be one of the best tanks for filling instead i will not use the tank out and about when it will spend time in my pocket because it isn't a case of if but rather how often this tank is going to open in someone's pocket! ___________________________________________________________________ Defender 80W TC Mod Specs and Features: Size: 90 x 45 x 26mm Hybrid Stone and metallic plate Wattage Range: 5.0W - 80W Battery: 1 x 18650 Cell (Not included) Temperature Range: 200°F - 600°F / 100°C - 315°C Continuous output current: 15 - 20 amps Atomizer resistance range: 0.1 - 3.0 ohms Battery input voltage range: 3.3 - 4.2 volts Conversion efficiency: 93% Shutdown current: 0.3mA Output Modes: Power (Wattage), Bypass, Temp Ni/Ti/SS, Soft Mode Display: 0.99-inch LCD Screen Charge: Via Micro USB Port Ergonomic shape for easy carrying Customizable Colour Display Thread: Spring-loaded 510 Pin Colours: Black, Blue, Red, Green, Dark Green ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Battery The Defender accommodates an 18650 battery and has a sliding plate with a ridge that slides on and off the base of the device like on a rail system, the plate also has generous venting. With the plate removed we can see "NEG" clearly printed to show the 18650 needs to be installed negative contacting the plate, when sliding the plate into position the battery needs pressing down on the spring loaded contact with a finger until the plate has slid over the battery. The plate then has 2 notches that lock into place to the front of the device making it very secure. We have no movement from the door or battery rattle whatsoever, excellent job! ___________________________________________________________________ The Display Being a device that was originally released about 3 years ago i'm impressed by how sharp the display is allowing all the information to be clearly read despite parts of it being in small font. The Display is colour with a single colour for fonts and accents and another colour for the background, both are fully customizable in the menu system. Top left we have the mode which is followed underneath by the voltage, when in temp control or Bypass watts is displayed instead of voltage and while taking a vape the time of the vape is displayed before changing back to voltage or watts. Next we have the wattage when in power mode, temperature when in TC or Voltage when in Bypass. Further down to the left we have the resistance and underneath the word "PUFF", to the right we have amps and the puff count underneath. Finally central at the bottom of the display we have a segmented circle outline for battery status indication, in the centre of the circle we have battery status as a percentage. ___________________________________________________________________ Navigating The Defender The Defender is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off. Once on i was met by the already described bright, sharp display, the only combination key press feature i can find is both navigational buttons pressed together locks the resistance. To enter the menu system is 3 clicks of the fire button which brings up the following options: Work Mode Temp Power Working Time Auto Off Puff Info Colour Palette Exit When choosing Work mode the options are Temp Ni, Temp Ti, Temp SS, Soft Mode, Power Mode, Bypass Mode and Exit, simply choose the mode and the device goes to that working screen. Choosing Temp Power allows wattage to be set for temp control and Working time is where you set how long you want the vape time cutoff between 5 and 10 seconds. Auto Off is how long the device is allowed to be idle before automatically powering down and Puff info is where you can reset the puff counter. Colour Palette is a feature i really like as rather than just choosing which colour you want the display you have an RGB palette for both font colour and background allowing you to be really creative, the colours and shades possible are countless. All screens in the menu system have an exit option and navigation is done using the navigational buttons while fire is select. Temperature adjusts in 10 degree increments and wattage in 1W increments, when holding the button down it scrolls at a nice speed and everything Round Robins! ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Defender Kit I will start with the tank which is so close to being very good but has a couple of issues which means now i have tested it and wrote the review i just wouldn't bother using it again. The initial squeaky airflow control ring did disappear after a while never to return so really is not an issue as far as i am concerned, my issues with the tank are up top. I like the look of the drip tip i just personally do not like my lips constantly resting on top of the tank even though the Defender Tank doesn't get too hot, i don't find it comfortable and really wish it was a standard fit giving me the choice of drip tips. The top-fill is the real issue for me and while i found it quick and easy and liked it when using the tank in the house i just wouldn't take the Defender tank out and about as it's just a case of how often e-liquid will end up everywhere, there is a good chance mine is looser than most but i can only review what i received. I have had this kit a few weeks using it a couple of days here and a couple of days their etc while also testing other products and tested the device with the supplied tank indoors but while out and about used it in temp control with an RTA. While the device doesn't have the firing specs of more modern devices it does make me wonder just how quick do we really need the device to fire as long as ramp up is decent. When firing there was no noticeable delay and in both power and SS modes it performed admirably. When using in SS TC Mode it gave a smooth vape (maybe some computer graph will say it has a wavy line so not a smooth vape but thankfully humans vape, computers don't) and i let the tank run dry a couple of times and the anti burn kicked in just fine. I don't really know how much if at all not having TCR is a con as i have never entered a TCR value into a device ever (as you can tell i'm a novice at best with temp control). I am happy the device is just 80W and when bumping the power up it's giving 80W or very close to it. As i said before it's a pity about the loose top-fill because the supplied coil gave cracking flavour from the off and put off doing the review until the flavour just started to drop off and longevity is what i would expect (pretty much bang on average) so no worries their. Not receiving the 0.2ohm coil or even another 0.5ohm is very disappointing as all kits/tanks should come with at least 2 coils. The quite narrow bore for a sub-ohm tank helped with smoothness and flavour and i found the coil at it's best with airflow 2 thirds open at just 30W for a really flavoursome restrictive lung vape. I love the large domed fire button which is in the ideal position for thumb firing and gives a luxurious sounding click, the device just looks first class and feels great in the hand. Having RGB palettes for both the font and the background is a feature i love and the colour variants you can create are endless but does the device have any cons? well, yes a few which really how petty or major they are will be entirely subjective. Although a big pro for having the battery status as both a segmented circle and percentage it became very noticeable how unevenly it gave this information. It stays on 100% for longer than it should then reduces very slowly, when it got to 50% i was thinking this device is mega efficient as i'm already happy with the life the 18650 battery has given but then it reduces at a rate of knots and goes from 50% to 10% in less than an hour of moderate vaping, then for some reason it stops firing displaying low voltage while the percentage still say's 10% (every time whatever wattage i vaped at), the next con is the device is not firmware upgradeable so no way of addressing this problem. The Auto Off option sets how long the device can be idle before the device shuts down with the maximum being 90 minutes which personally i'm happy with but really a feature like this should have an option to disable it. The only other thing i noticed i personally couldn't care less about but as i noticed it will mention it in case it's less petty to some. On most devices that have a puff counter it only registers a puff when the fire button is pressed for a full second, 0.8 seconds or in a few cases 0.5 seconds as they assume that a proper puff is at least going to take this time. The Defender registers any press even if just 0.1 second so going into the menu system is 3 puffs, powering down is 5 puffs and if messing around in the menu system doing something like altering the font and background colours the puff counter goes up considerably even though you haven't even took a vape. Apart from that it's pros all the way, despite the inaccurate battery status indicator it felt i got better than average life from an 18650 battery, the device will accommodate a 25.5mm atty flush so the vast majority of atty's that would suit a single battery device will sit nice and although i never recommend it the device does support on-board charging if it's your only option. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Excellent build quality Stunning looking device Hybrid Stone luxurious finish Gold coloured metallic accents 5 colour options Large domed fire button on slant Ideal ergonomically for thumb firing Fired without noticeable delay and decent ramp up (even if not at the lightning speed of more recent devices which means every time you use the fire button for anything like entering the menu system it fires when not wanted) Scrolls in 1W increments at nice speed User friendly menu system Back option on every screen and everything round Robins Bright, sharp display that can be customised RGB Palette for font and background Performed well for me in both power mode and SS Bypass Mode TC Mode's Atty's up to 25.5mm will fit without overhang Gave above average battery life for single 18650 device Supports on-board charging (if that's your only option) 5ml Capacity Spare glass Above average flavour Smooth airflow Very quick fill method (but does have problems) Cons Top-fill loose Proprietary drip tip Inaccurate battery status indication Not firmware upgradeable Auto off can't be disabled Any slight press of fire button registers a puff (worth mentioning but personally couldn't care less) Only one coil included No coil specs given other than resistance (pretty certain it's kanthal mesh) I would once again like to thank Rebort from Starss for supplying the Defender 80W TC Kit for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  13. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the Cold Steel 100 120W TC Box Mod from Ehpro. The Ehpro Cold Steel 100 120W TC Box Mod was supplied for the purpose of this review by Violette from Vapeciga. Introduction Ehpro were known for manufacturing quality affordable clones but that seems in the distant past as more recently they have been manufacturing some well received products of their own, including many collaborations with reviewers. The Cold Steel 100 is one of two devices Ehpro have designed in collaboration with Youtube reviewers, the Cold steel 200 was in collaboration with Nebelfee (a German Youtube reviewer) and this the Cold Steel 100 with AmbitionZ Vaper (makes me wonder what really is the collaborators contribution to the project). The Cold Steel 100 has the full works of wattage, Voltage, Bypass, Curves and full TC suite. The main marketing of both Cold Steels is their high quality Stainless Steel build quality so let's give the Cold Steel 100 a look! ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1x Ehpro Cold Steel 100 MOD 1x Belt Loop Holster 1x USB Cable 1x 18650 Battery Adaptor 1x User Manual 1x Warranty Card 1x Certification Card 1x Battery Safety Card ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The Cold Steel 100 comes in cardboard box packaging with the device placed inside the included belt loop case. I received the Obsidian Black version, the other available versions are Grey Champagne and Old Gold. The form factor is odd looking and i do like it although not original has it looks very similar to a Zen mod from about 4 years ago or more recently the YiHi SL Class. The form factor is a tubular rear with a rectangular vertical protruding face section which houses the PCB, functional buttons, screen etc. The device looks front heavy as if it will topple over at any minute but the rear tubular section is Stainless Steel while the front section is the lighter Zinc Alloy metal so actually is very stable and even more so once the weight of a battery and atty is added. Brass is also listed in the materials so i am assuming the 510 and contacts are brass and maybe the inner threading for the battery cap. The protruding face section has "AMBITIONZ VAPER" printed on the tapered roof (i just don't want a reviewers name printed on the device, thanks!). On the face's surface we have a squared light switch style fire button top followed by a narrow elongated screen, we then have a switch style rocker for navigation followed at the bottom by a micro USB port. The tubular rear section is featureless which i like apart from "COLD STEEL" being carved into the metal low down. Moving to the base which is the battery cap we have venting holes and printed safety stamps. Up top we have the 510 plate with inner and outer rim, the 510 i believe is Brass and is spring loaded. Like with the Cold Steel 200 the Cold Steel 100 boasts very good build quality but also for a single battery device is on the heavy side, ergonomically it is sound using to either finger or thumb fire the device. ___________________________________________________________________ Cold Steel 100 Specs and Features: Dimensions: 39 x 27.5 x 91.5mm Material: Stainless Steel + Brass + Zinc Alloy Coil Resistance Range: 0.05-3.0ohm Voltage Range: 0.5-8V Wattage Range: 5-120W Output Current: 35A Temperature Range: 100-315℃ / 200-600℉ Micro-USB Charging: Yes Online Software Update: Yes Work Mode: PWR/ TEMP / CURVE / VOLT / BYPASS Battery Type: 1x 18650/20700/21700(not included) TC MOD Co-designed with AmbitionZ VapeR 120W Max Output Powered by Single 21700/20700/18650 Battery Fully metal construction and ultra ergonomic design Multiple working modes for different style vapers 0.0018S firing speed Micro-USB port for charging and upgrade Exquisite design & easy operated buttons Thread: 510 Colours: Grey Champagne, Black Obsidian, Old Gold ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Batteries The Cold Steel will accommodate a single 21700 or 20700 and also a single 18650 when using the supplied adaptor. We have a screw off battery cap on the base of the device which undoes very smoothly but when screwing back in place is slightly crunchy. The inside of the tube has a reflective surface allowing for the marked orientation at the bottom of the tube to be very visible, also orientation on the underneath of the battery cap is Black on White making it stand out, cracking job! ___________________________________________________________________ The Display The Screen is very narrow but elongated and old school in nature which many still prefer. The Display and fonts might be quite small but i had no problems reading all the information as it's sharp and bright. Top left we have the preheat in Power mode or wire type in TC mode, bottom left we have the battery status indication bar. To the right of what has already been described we have resistance top and the voltage when in Power mode underneath, when in TC, Voltage or Bypass modes instead of voltage this is where we will find the wattage. The right of the screen displays wattage in Power mode, temperature in TC mode or voltage when in Voltage or Bypass modes. ___________________________________________________________________ Navigating The Cold Steel 100 The device is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off and once on we are met by the already described sharp, bright, old school style screen. We do have some combination key press functions which are - and fire together flips the screen, + and fire locks the navigational buttons but the device will still fire, + and - together locks the entire device so it also will not fire and finally pressing +, - and fire together is stealth mode. The device has many modes but a very simple menu system which is 3 clicks of the fire button to enter. The menu gives us the options of Power, Temp, Curve, Bypass, Voltage and Back, when selecting Power it then gives us the options of preheat which are Normal, Soft or Strong. The Curves, Voltage and Bypass are all straightforward but selecting Temp gives us the options of Nickel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, TC and Back. Once we have selected wire material in TC it then allows wattage to be set in 1W increments right up to the maximum 120W. Once wattage is set it then moves to where we set the temperature which adjusts in 5 degree increments and round robins between Celsius and Fahrenheit. That's it!, Very simple and i do like that all screens have a back option and throughout including setting wattage and temperature everything round robins. When adjusting the wattage it adjusts in .1W increments up to 30W and then .5W increments all the way up to 120W, it also scrolls at a really nice speed! ___________________________________________________________________ Protections Short Circuit Protection Over Heat Protection Over Current Protection Weak Battery Protection Reverse Polarity Protection 10S Cut-off Protection Low Voltage Protection Battery Over-charge Protection ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The Cold Steel 100 First i have to state i did not use the device in temp control and don't have access to data so simply reviewed the device as i personally experienced it. Like the Cold Steel 200 this device fires incredibly quickly and has very impressive ramp up which is great but it makes me think it would of benefited having a select button because every time the fire button is pressed to enter the menu system etc it fire's without fail. I used the device at various wattage's up to 80W and as far as i can tell it's pretty accurate and if anything slightly overpowered reminding me very much of the Minikin for the instant hit i got, all modes i tested which was all of them apart from TC worked great. I also did try the device with both a 18650 and 21700 at wattage's between 80 and 120w and while it fared much better with a 21700 it really didn't feel it was doing much above 100W, maybe with a fresh 21700 but not during normal use and as for with a 18650 80W is all this feels like it's giving out. I really feel single battery device's that are 100W or 100W+ that will accommodate a 21700, 20700 or a 18650 battery should ask you which battery you are using and if you pick the 18650/20700 option it should switch to a 80W device. Instead the Cold Steel 100 at lower and mid wattage's as i said seems slightly overpowered while when going to higher wattage's we have a situation where especially with an 18650 battery it's severely underpowered! I love the squared light switch style fire button and switch style navigational rocker, also a big pro for the build quality and even if not an original design both aesthetically (in my opinion) and ergonomically the device is spot on. The menu is very simple, every screen has a back option and everything round robins which makes it a very user friendly device, also the .5 increment adjustment and scroll speed gets pro's all round. Like the Cold Steel 200 every time the battery is swapped or the battery cap is just unscrewed then screwed back the device resets to 35W and has no memory of what you were vaping at but unlike the Cold Steel 200 it doesn't smartly (always in my case wrongly) set wattage it believes you should be vaping at with the resistance of the coil which i am pleased about. As ever i would never recommend charging batteries in the device unless it's your only option but the device supports 2A charging (1.8A to be precise) and is fully firmware upgradeable, but unlike the Cold Steel 200 it doesn't have a type C USB port which is disappointing. The Cold Steel 100 will accommodate up to a 25mm atty without overhang which is the vast majority of atty's that would suit a single battery device. Finally the belt loop case you receive is rather nice but unfortunately they forgot to take into consideration the extra height when an atty is attached so isn't fit for purpose! ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Excellent build quality Stainless Steel & Zinc Alloy construction Aesthetically classy looking device (even if not original design) Very Ergonomic device Portable even if slightly heavy Accommodates 21700, 20700 or 18650 (with supplied adaptor) Squared Light switch style fire button Switch style navigational rocker Sharp, bright old school style screen Lock just navigational rocker or entire device Very user friendly menu system Adjustment increments spot on also back options and everything round robins Curves, Voltage and Bypass work as they should TC (not tested) Performed great in power mode Fires instantly with impressive ramp up Very clearly marked battery orientation Supports 1.8A charging Firmware upgradeable Multiple protections Belt loop case included Cons Heavy for single battery device (subjective to individual) Auto sets to 35W after removing battery (no memory of previous wattage) Severely underpowered unless using 21700 (Fine up to 80W) Does not reduce max wattage when using 18650 or 20700 battery Does not have type C USB Belt loop case not fit for purpose when atty attached I would once again like to thank Violette from Vapeciga for supplying the Ehpro Cold Steel 100 120W TC Box MOD for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  14. Hi Vapor Talk members, In this review i take a look at the M VV II Box MOD from Dovpo. The DOVPO M VV II Box MOD was supplied for the purpose of this review by Cortana from the Healthcabin. Introduction The M VV II is a potentiometer style variable voltage device and updated version of Dovpo's best selling M VV. The device comes with a choice of 3 different colourful textured panels and has a lovely weight in the hand in my opinion. Firing down as low as 0.08 and cranked write up to max potentially this powerful device will put out 280W, whether 18650's will allow for this i wouldn't know and have no intentions of trying and would advise doing modest builds and dialling the voltage to suit (just because you can doesn't mean you should!). ___________________________________________________________________ In The Box Contents: 1× M VV II DEVICE 1× USB Type-c Cable 1x QA Card 1x Battery Safety Card 1x Social Media Card 1× Instruction Manual ___________________________________________________________________ Aesthetics and Ergonomics The M VV II came in cardboard packaging with viewing window so you can see the colourful device before opening. I received the Skull & Roses version, although no doubt more versions will become available at the time of writing the options are Hannya, Skull & Roses and Dragon Samurai. The device has a Black Zinc Alloy chassis with also Zinc Alloy panels, one removable to allow battery instalment and one fixed. The panels have a plastic raised textured colourful design that feels impressively durable although the themes will not be to everyone's taste. The face has a cut corner where it meets the top of the device and just below this we have a large Black domed fire button, at the bottom on the face we have the dial with an LED indication light just above. The spine of the device is featureless but has an indented central section to narrow the device making it more ergonomic, the base is also featureless. Up top as mentioned we have a cut corner to one side then we have a 510 plate positioned centrally to the flat top section rather than the whole device, the 510 is Gold plated and spring loaded with decent travel. I have the original M VV (Blue lightning version) that i bought and i am finding the M VV II to have the ergonomic edge, i also find it almost the perfect weight, not too light but not too heavy but that's entirely subjective. ___________________________________________________________________ M VV II Specs and Features: Size: 91mm X 53mm X 27mm Material: PC+Zinc Alloy Resistance: 0.08ohm - 3.5ohm Operating Voltage: 6.4V - 8.4V Output Voltage: 1.0V - 8.0V Battery: 2 x 18650 Battery (NOT included) Display: 3-LED Indicator Maximum Output: 280W New aesthetic colorful look and stylish designs Adjustable voltage range from 1V to 8V Multiple protections for safe vape Magnetic battery cover for easy installation Convenient built-in USB Type-C port Thread: 510 Colour/Design: Hannya, Skull & Roses, Dragon Samurai ___________________________________________________________________ Fitting The Batteries The side panel that needs removing to fit your dual 18650 batteries has a very visible notch on the side, it also has "OPEN" and a little arrowhead stamped into the metal spine. Once off we see it has a very large magnet both top and bottom and the section that fits directly over the batteries has a non metallic coating for extra safety. A battery ribbon is attached to help with the removal of your batteries which is needed as they sit deep inside the compartment and orientation is yet again disappointingly Black on Black. Also on the front side of the battery compartment so hidden when the panel is in place is the type C USB port. When testing for movement on the panel with or without the batteries fitted it had no movement whatsoever, cracking job! ___________________________________________________________________ Operating The M VV II The M VV II is a potentiometer style variable voltage device which is so simple to use but needs to be given respect as these type's of devices give out quite some power. The device is the usual 5 clicks to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off, both actions are confirmed by the LED cycling through the colours Red, Yellow, Green. The device has battery status indication which is shown by what colour the LED lights while vaping, the status indications are: Green = 7.6V or above Yellow = Between 7.0V and 7.6V Red = 6.9V or below If charging your batteries in the device (i would only do this if it was your only option) the LED gives charging indication which follows the same colours and percentages as when vaping, when the batteries are fully charged the LED goes off. To use the device you turn the dial to adjust voltage and vape. Their are 5 main settings on the dial with further settings between each, you can also go between markings and micro manage the exact power you are after. You can't see what the exact voltage is or know what wattage output is being given, the trick is to start very low and slowly increase the voltage until you get the power you want, these devices are vape by feel rather than settings which add to their charm. The device comes with all the usual safety protections you would get with any other regulated device which if they kick in are indicated by various flashes of the LED. Protections Low Voltage protection Overheat Protection Reverse Battery Protection Short Circuit Protection Overtime Protection ___________________________________________________________________ My Experience Using The M VV II I really like potentiometer style variable voltage devices and the MVV II has slight ergonomic improvement and also Type C USB making it in my opinion a better device than the original and on a par with the Tesla Invader 4X as the best i have used yet. You really do need to start on the lowest setting and slowly crank it up until you get the power you want, you will be surprised how low you will need the dial set. You need to get your nail into the arrow of the dial to adjust and i do prefer the Invader 4X as it's much easier to move the dial but the dial on the M VV II still moves very smoothly and is still less fiddly than most potentiometer style devices i have used. I love the domed fire button, you just can't miss it and it has a very satisfying click when pressing, the device fires with absolutely no delay and instant ramp up, i have no complaints at all. At the risk of repeating myself you really do need to start very low and then gradually increase the power until you get the vape you want, the device gives plenty of power and personally i have never needed to use a potentiometer style device with the dial more than halfway and usually much lower. In the manual their is a settings guide for various builds giving wattage output for different dial settings but it's just a rough guide as the output including the maximum wattage which is claimed to be 280W is all dependant on the 18650 batteries you are using and at higher voltage settings how fresh they are. I like the weight in the hand of the device as well as the colourful textured designs which feel to be very durable and although battery status indication could have more tiers it's nicely spaced out and fit for purpose. The device can accommodate up to 25mm atty's without overhang which means the vast majority will fit fine but if you are looking for a device that accommodates large atty's this isn't for you. Via the included type C USB cable the device supports on-board charging and the final pro is it's very affordable. ___________________________________________________________________ Likes Well made device Aesthetically pleasing Nice weight textured colourful finish (panels) Dial moves smoothly Micro manage voltage output for the power you want Powerful device Fires instantly with instant ramp up large domed fire button Very simple to use Battery door fits very securely Battery Ribbon Battery status indication Battery life seemed slightly better than expected Multiple safety protections On-board charging supported Type C USB Low price Cons VV only (obvious) Black on Black marked battery orientation I would once again like to thank Cortana from the Healthcabin for supplying the DOVPO M VV II Box MOD for the purpose of this review. ___________________________________________________________________
  15. I know some that add Distilled water to the VG and then obviously use that VG in their DIY e-liquid rather than adding the water to the finished liquid!
  16. As the title states, i receive vaping product to test and write a review on and it changes forum to forum, some i am made very welcome on, others less so while some simply for posting a review i return to find my account has been banned, i don't want to offend and only post my reviews where they are welcome! All the best, Tim
