  1. But I do have a bunch of premade staple staggered fused Clapton coils collecting dust that don't fit in my Smok velocity decks Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  2. I literally have a gold Pharaoh RTA sitting in an online shopping cart sitting in front of me but I can't justify buying it lol I haven't even received my new mod in the mail yet and just barely finished my first ever build an hour ago. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  3. The 20 gauge wire was pretty tough to work with Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  4. Clapton wire I mean Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  5. Bought some 24/36 ss Claptons will also try those out unspaced on my tfv8 Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  6. Nice those look good. Got them to glow evenly at 0.15 ohms. Also, I just use high preheat to deal with ramp up. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  7. Been messing around with RDAs for about a month now, but never wrapped my own coils. Here's my first attempt on the TFV12 RBA Dual Coil Deck. 7 wraps, spaced, 20 gauge. Now time to test the ohms Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  8. Damn. Wanted to try TC but wasnt gonna chance it without verifying the material. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  9. Does anyone know what material the stock RBA coils are made of? Based on the resistence I get I think it's stainless steel. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  10. Thought I had bumped this earlier but it was just a draft. Got some 20 gauge kanthal wire to build dual coils at around .12-.18 ohms Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  11. Is there any way to make this section more readily noticeable to someone who visits the forum? I didn't even know this section existed, and I was actively seeking the kind of advice that tutorials offer. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks Tam. I didn't know about that section. I'm gonna check out some tutorials there . Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  13. Hello Vape Community! The triple coil RBA-T for the Smok TFV12 RBA Edition with the stock coils is the best tank setup I've ever used and it's not even close. If you have the TFV12 RBA Edition and you want to maximize your vaping experience, take out the RBA-T deck and follow these instructions. First, take a look at how the stock coils are built and installed. They perform exceptionally well with this setup, so take note so that when you eventually rebuild, you can match the stock build as closely as possible. Looking at the deck, you will see 3 juice wells. Each juice well takes a cotton strand from 2 of the coils. When wicking, use a somewhat thin strand to pull through the coil (just enough that the cotton has some tension inside the coil). Cut the cotton edge's length so that when pushing the cotton down into the juice wells, it is barely longer than the minimum length needed to reach the bottom of the well. It may seem under cottoned, but when the second coil's cotton goes in, there will be enough cotton to cover the entire well. When pushing the cotton down into the well, have it go almost as straight down as you can but with the cotton still filling the entire coil tube. Don't push down so much as for the end of the tube to not be completely tight with cotton; try to keep the cotton tension consistent throughout the coil's entire length. Once the 2 coils wicks are placed in the well, there will be enough cotton to fill the entire well. Keep the cotton in the well quasi separate, each strand on its own side. Have the cotton strands touching so that there is no space between them, but don't have them overlap with eachother; keep them parallel side by side. From the juice fill slots, fluff the cotton with a tweezer in the well, but do not have the separate cottons threads significantly overlap (minor overlap is fine, but minimize it to just how much is necessary so that there is no visible space between the cotton wicks). Do same on all 3 juice wells. The 2 cottons in the same well allow for incredible wicking, because when the cotton isn't bunched up (which with 2 cottons going in the same well it doesn't have to be) it allows the juice to flow directly upwards through the cottons' natural strands and into the coil. You know what to do next: juice it up, screw the deck into the tank, and brace yourself for the ultimate vaping experience. It will wick and hit like a dream. You'll get amazing vapor production, amazing flavor, a super smooth inhale, and the vapor won't be hot (though your mod itself may heat up a bit.) I had to wick, test, and rewick 3x to figure out how to do it right, so don't be frustrated if it takes some time to get perfect, but with my instructions you should be able to do it right on either the first or second attempt. Set your mod to Variable Wattage with 140w preheat for 0.1 seconds (or whatever setting on your mod would cause similar preheat). Set the power to anywhere between ~86 and ~103 watts. And LET HER RIP!! Best Vaping Wishes, theclaw20
  14. Mod set at 140w preheat 0.1 seconds Vaped at anywhere between ~86 and ~103 watts will be cool, cloudy, and flavorful. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  15. The 2 cottons in the same well allows for incredible wicking, cuz when the cotton isn't bunched up (which with 2 cottons going in the same well it doesn't have to be) it causes the juice to flow directly upwards through the cottons' natural strands into the coil. 17. "Once 3 coil wicks" should say "Once 2 coil wicks" Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  18. I just wanna say that this triple coil RBA with the stock coils is the best tank setup I've ever used and it's not even close. The key is getting the tension of the cotton just right. Each well takes a strand from 2 of the coils. When wicking, use a somewhat thin strand to pull through the coil (just enough that it has some tension inside the coil) and cut the length so that pushing down into the juice wells has it that it is barely longer than the minimum length to reach the bottom of the well. When the second coil's cotton goes in, there will be enough to cover the entire well. Keep the cotton in the well quasi separate... Have the cotton strands touching to prevent space but don't have them overlap with eachother and keep them parallel side by side. When pushing down, have it go almost as straight down as you can but with the cotton still filling the entire coil tube (don't push down so much as for the end of the tube to not be completely tight with cotton). Once 3 coils wicks are placed in the well, there will be enough cotton to fill the entire well. Do the same on all 3 juice wells. It'll wick and hit like a dream. High watts feel nice and cool but produce tons of vapor with the best flavor you've ever had. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  19. U Kno what... It's probably filling juice on all 3 and it's probably the case that one juice well has lower pressure from the cotton so that's where the air escapes. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  20. PS. I'd wanna use the RBA-T and not the dual coil RBA because it's postless and would let me go thru the diameter of the deck to build the largest coil possible (could do over 30 wraps with contact, which might be a better move than trying to space (since 28 gauge would shift while wicking). Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  21. Yea it's hitting like a dream. Probably the best build I've ever hit. Just so weird that I only see it filling one hole.... Maybe it's just a wicking thing... Maybe the other wicks just hold way more juice. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  22. I wanna build a single coil tempered NI200 28 gauge between 11 or 12 wraps spaced on the RBA-T (~.15 ohms) The deck has plenty of room for it even with 2x spacing per wrap. I'd run it with temp control. It should be a great battery saving build, have really good flavor (tons of coil to cotton contact), and allow for a lot of use b4 needing rewicking/rebuilding. But... I'm puzzled about the wicking. There are 3 wicking holes and with 1 coil you'd normally use 2 wicking holes... Would I just split the cotton out of the edges of one or both of the coils and send cotton from one or both coil ends into multiple juice wells? Or just try to plug one of the holes with a thick wad of cotton? Is there a ceramic plug for 1 well for the RBA-T? My TFV12 RBA Edition didn't come with any ceramic plugs (they apparently make one for the dual coil velocity deck, but it wasn't in my kit). Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  23. And it's a super flavorful cloudy vape at 100 watts 140 preheat. But only seeing airholes out of one hole is disconcerting Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  24. I think the ohms are fine. .19 seems where it should be slightly spaced (.15 unspaced) Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  25. Im hitting it at 92 watts with preheat of 140 for 0.1 seconds Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
