james.darlin reacted to Earthling789 in Vape display? Let's see I need some ideas
Here is one I made for storing tanks and a couple of eGo-style batteries, for a fellow member... It is made with a 4x6 piece of scrap Poplar, holes drilled, and the round eGo stands are round closet door knobs I picked up in a box-lot some years ago... everything sanded, stained, and sealed with satin polyurethane.
I've made several more of different sizes... using scrap wood... This 4x4" block holds 16 tanks up to 23mm size, and still has room between them for EVOD size (16-18mm) tanks (and you can also see another re-purposed door knob glued to a small disk which was left over from cutting a hole):

A big thumbs up regarding the technique of steeping e-juice in an ultrasonic cleaner. Real simple: One 120ml bottle of Strawberry cream that was weak in flavor, fresh made. Placed bottle open in cleaner with the water almost coming up to the level of the liquid in the bottle. Turned heater on to 50deg C. Turned on cleaner for 30 minutes. Very noticeable increase in flavor. I am going to add this technique as a finishing process for all my batches. Followed only by applying the label.
On to buying more flavorings!!!!

james.darlin reacted to Walt in Wick under your coil... yes or no?
I'm no fan of cotton under the coils. I haven't been building that long but my first instinct was to use too much cotton all around. I'm finding the less I use the more the wicking. I try to just let those wispy cotton ends touch the bottom of the well or poke through the wicking holes as long as in a RTA I have enough to keep the liquid from running in and flooding. Of course there is always that odd build that defies all logic like Crystal Ball. That thing is packed with cotton and it wicks like crazy.

I just meant that is a low ohm build which means lots of power and high heat. With really sweet and/or high vg juice its just about the best coil wrecker you can make.
You can't have your cake and it eat it too. If youre going to run a low ohm coil and high heat they aren't going to last. It's like you bought a mustang GT and you're asking how to get better gas mileage.
Change juices, experiment with different ohm builds. Have fun.
How come you don't know how to figure out your power? How do you know if your build is safe and your batteries are rated high enough? Do you not use a calculator vape calculator like steam?
