  1. Thanks to my buddy yzrmbsg I decided to add the hookah tube to my super ego detonator because of the belt attachment on the back of the box. Parts: Old tube from a nebulizer with groove cut in hard plastic end to hold rubber grommet. Old rubber grommet off of drip tip from sh!tty mega ego atomizer Mega dual coil eGo cartomizer The nebulizer tube end was the EXACT same diameter as the drip tip for the mega eGo atty so I figured if I mod it to hold a grommet it would plug into my new dual coil mega eGo cartos. And it did... :-D I think this might be really really bad lol. This tube is right next to my face all the time. :-p I don't think I should use it in public
  2. well sometimes I flodd it on purpose by squeezing the bottle so I can boost my voltage up to around 6v without burning lol. I have no problems with leaks because of the ego cone I am using in conjunction with it catches all the excess juice and allows it to be sucked back into the carto. Also yes, I have notice using a carto with this is way better than an atty. since the draw is a little stiffer it provides the suction necessary to pull more juice in from the bottle. Plus if you get it a little too dry, you can just give the bottle a squeeze like in a bottom fed box. I love it because now I dont have to worry about housing a juice bottle inside my box next to all my precious circuitry ;-). I hope that answered your question.
  3. lol unfortunately I have no more of these boxes on hand... If you have modding skills this box is really easy to use. lots of space and you can get it for free. If you want the link to the page let me know :-) @nana Thanks! :-D
  4. It is just great! it works via suction and if you need more juice you can squeeze the bottle. Its like adding a feeder without the fuss honestly. I actually can flood a carto because my cone acts like a juice cup, boost it to 6v and vape away on a 2.4 ohm carto. So yes... its nice lol. So are the eGo mega dual coil cartos. They hold 3 or 4ml of juice. havent exactly measured it. but I can run those at 5.5 volts without an issue
  5. OK it's been a long time coming but I FINALLY built a new mod. I built this after seeing many flaws in the basic VV box mod with a rotating pot. I hated how I would have to add a locking mechanism to it to keep it from turning and also hated how I didn't know the voltage without a multi meter. Well I solved all that plus the flimsiness of those box mods when I came across this box from Polycase. It's kinda beefy but I have really enjoyed it so far. I call it the Super eGo Detonator (as I can not bring this on base on Fort Hood or in an airport cuz it looks like a DETONATOR LMAO) 1st pic is with a mega eGo Dual Coil Carto. LOVE THIS THING 2nd is with the Drip on Demand Kit from MV with eGo cone attached using 510 to eGo adapter from MV... also LOVE IT The blue part of it is a rubber cover. Very nice if I drop it it just bounces. As you can see it has an LED bar on the front. The first two are green (3.7 and 4v), the second two are yellow (4.5 and 5v), and the last two are red (5.5 and 6v). The voltage is changed with a multi position switch on top (will be pictured below) and is very clicky. It wont change voltage unless I want it too. It is seated next to the on off switch and 510 connector. Here is the parts list. I may forget some things... as you will see a LOT went inside this. Polycase Box (Free sample ) TI multi voltage regulator (also free sample ) Multi position pot (had this laying around) On/Off switch (also had this lying around) Clicky Button from MV Resistors, Capacitors, and Wires (had these lying around) 6 LED multi color bar (had this lying around) Circuit boards from MV 510 connector, 510 to eGo adapter and eGo cone from MV OK now under the hood pics (oh baby oh baby) As you can see it is run by 2 14500 trust fire batteries seated in a neat little compartment on the opposite side of the circuitry. I won't bother explaining how I wired this... it took a LONG TIME lol. Just look. Anyways I love it. There are no leaks inside, it is shock absorbent and weather proof, the voltage doesn't change without me doing it and it vapes like a BEAST. Like it?
  6. If I placed an order on the day of the ban or before the ban do you think it will be affected? Also, is there any way to work around with the name of my device like calling it a pv or eni? I mean are they banning just ciggarette type models or is this all inclusive.
  7. This means I can't be shipped ecig stuff any more? :-( I'm screwed aren't I.
  8. I like this idea! I think I may try it... Thanks for all the replies. After soldering the wire back in place I om on the 10th hr of vaping with normal use or a few puffs every 15 minutes or so. So its lasting quite well now
  9. edit: I just looked inside my mod and noticed the positive going to the 510 connector came loose so it turns out my batteries weren't dead. Will update further when I re-solder and recharge.
  10. So I built my first box mod. Most of my parts including the box, batteries (2 14500 3.7v 900mah), connector, and circuit board were purchased from madvapes and got to me within three days of placing the order :-). The resistors, button, and capacitors were left over in my electronics junk drawer and the switching regulator was a free sample from TI. It can be found here. I just used it for a 5v mod because it was free. I plan to get more to use with a variable voltage design using multiple resistors and a multi-position switch in future designs. Here are some pics I took at the bar tonight :-p The only issue I am having with this is I want it to last longer than 5 hours (that's with constant vaping). Is there any batteries I haven't come across yet that last longer and would fit in my mod? Or am I going to have to build a whole new one. My only conclusion so far is to build a whole new one. Otherwise I love the way this thing vapes. It's even better than my passthru. All questions or comments are welcome. Thanks for viewing, Ryan
  11. I would say if the coughing doesn't clear up in the first month do what others have mentioned and try a vg mix. In my short (in comparison to other in this forum) affair with vaping I have already come across someone who is allergic to to vapor from my pv and that is my mother. When I first started using these I was using a pg only blend and she was ecstatic I had quit smoking. Shortly after being home I notice her coughing and sneezing more than usual. So I stopped using my pv in the main part of the house and she no longer had those problems. Since then I have switched to vg mixes while at home to avoid having my mother go in to an asthma attack lol. So just be weary of how your body is reacting. If you have any other scent related allergies check out a vg mix and see if it helps.
  12. As for your issues getting juiced and leaking, that can be fixed by ordering some cartomizers. The BluCig is a 510 connection battery so in order to save money and not have to buy new equipment you could just order cartomizers that fit your Blu battery. In other words, go to a supplier that sells 510 cartomizers (the vaportalk store has a great price on them here is the link 510 cartomizers), purchase and when you get them take the plug out and boil for five minutes in water to get any residual primer taste out. Then let them dry over night and fill with your favorite juice. They can be cleaned with the same boiling technique once they get gunked up or burnt tasting. There is a video on how to fill them on the vaportalk store link I provided. Here is a thread on cartridges vs. cartomizers in case you are confused about the differance Cartridges vs Cartomizers. If you don't like the battery life on them you can invest in a portable charging case(PCC) for your Blu 510s too, They can be found here. They are called the blu Exclusive pack and charge your batteries while you are on the go. And for only 9.95 are still cheaper than buying a whole new set up even with the cost of cartomizers. If you want a real cig taste it will be hard to find. There is no juice that I have experienced truly simulates the cig smoke taste. While I think this is not a problem because vapor is so much cleaner and truer to flavor than smoke the choice is yours. If you want a juice that smells and tastes like the smell from a freshly opened pack of cigs (not like the smoke from them) then try dekang tobacco or dekang usa mix (the ry4 is my favorite all around just so you know ). They can both be found at http://www.madvapes.com/50ml-China-E-Liquids_c_181.html for only 11.99 per 50ml and they taste great. They are great for someone starting out on vaping because they won't break the bank. They also have a great throat hit at 16mg or above. Good luck! hope this helped
  13. I use a couple spice racks ;-) works great to see what you have on hand. For on the go I use my moms old black and silver makeup case (its pretty big and doesn't really look like a makeup case lol) and it works great for presentation.
