You're among a good sized group of folks here who get it. I'm only six weeks analog free and I have had the same experience. This is a very personal decision and a very personal battle with analogs. I know I can't expect those around me to share my enthusiasm having not traveled the same road. I do find others however that do as I continue to vape. You're circle of relationships will broaden and will include those who will share the vaping experience with you. Congratulations, bye they way on your progress!

Pretty much exactly the same thing. I had the scissors from when I served as an EMT (30 years ago) and the scope was purchased to keep my hearing aids clean.
-
Too cool! Never thought of those. I'm like a little kid in a candy store. My ultras cleaner finally came in and I'm busy cleaning everything today including my glasses. That was probably a mistake. Now I'm seeing smudges on everything.

Top of the morning all! Another beautiful day to vape! Just a couple of useful tools that are multi purpose and lend themselves nicely to building. Bandage Scissors: Made for cutting cotton. Won't pinch fine strands. Smooth, precise cutting especially for trimming. Otoscope: These are sweet for the price. My audiologist even uses one. Great for a close inspection of those tiny build decks.

@FXRich I think I will just stick to either my Smok, Vapresso, or Pioneer for TC and leave the eleaf products in wattage mode. I feel safer that way.

I'm liking dripping a lot and the tsunami is easy to build. I drip often and not a lot so I don't get any real flooding. I do keep a rag handy regardless. I can use temp control on my Alien and it is reliable, but my eleaf products have not been reliable at all in temp mode. Strange.

Whats going on with purchasing e-liquid online?
Walt replied to Patricia's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
And you are doing a great job of keeping everyone here in the loop. Per above, you are already providing a save sensible manufacturing environment. When a person has to provide a photocopy of their driver's license to purchase a dropper bottle from one site because it is vape related while the same bottle on another site requires no proof of anything other than payment, there is a real problem with someone's thought process. -
Whats going on with purchasing e-liquid online?

Reading this I'm going through the steps of grieving. I'm somewhere between denial and very angry. I remember when I was in my teens. My parents owned a floor covering business and I was working on an install. I was trying to clean some glue off of a seam and it wasn't working. I told my dad the new cleaner didn't work. He told me the guberment had banned carbontetracloride because someone made a bomb with some in it. I've seen the guberment do this soooo many times in my lifetime. This is the most egregious to date. I had abandoned the concept of quitting analogs. The only endgame I see is ludicrous prohibition activities and another form of conspicuous consumption for the wealthy. Time to quit writing. Anger is setting in. Nothing but a rant could follow. -
Ok, so I'm vaping on a Tsunami with the Picko 75 all day. The pico did not want to go into SS temp mode at .5ohm so I used a memory slot and programed it manually. Worked fine for hours. Went to hit it and it got hot. Was set at 45 watts and 450 deg F. Unlocked the resistance. Fired it with no atomizer. Reset the resistance and re-locked it. Powered the unit on and off. Pulled the temperature down to 350. Working fine again although 350 now seems more like the 350 was. It is going into temp protect. Any ideas what happened? That was just plain weird.

Tips for Maintaining your Vape Stuff
Walt replied to Jonny Stevenson's topic in General Vaping Discussion
And if you're totally anal like me, you can add little zip pouches for tanks, soft microfiber drawstring bags for mods, a Pelican 1170 to put all that in and an ultrasonic bath for when the little ones get dirty. -
Ok, now that is amazing. Would have never thought it possible.

First RDA build today. Woah! Now I get it. A ten buck Kennedy. Good possibility it is a clone. Regardless, it blows away even the RTA. The strawberry cheesecake I'm vapin is thick, tastes like it has texture. The nic hit for 3mg is something else too. A few draws put me back in my chair. Wow! Best most thorough explanation I have read to date. Fills in a lot of blanks. Sent from my iPad using The Vapor Talk mobile app

A quick thank you to all who commented. Followed suggestions and was much firmer with using the 3mil rod to hold the coil while building. My second build looks just like the pretty pictures on YouTube and man does it perform! Even at the .6ohm build that I used it is AMAZING!!!! Thanks again!!!

Looks much neater than my first build. Nice job!

Well the trip was ok. My niece was largely "whatever". My nephew actually caught on to a few positive attributes of vaping. My sister had found a negative article on vaping and was "tolerant". I guess as good as it is going to get. My vaping equipment did a great job of being reliable. Couldn't shake the feeling that I was bringing a "bad habit" into their homes. Regardless it was a good trip.

A little nervous today. Going on an overnight trip to the boonies where folks aint herd ah no vapin. Stores aint got no e-juice, big batteries, or atomizers. Hope I brought enough "back-ups" and juice. Don't want to walk in with a rolling suitcase of stuff either. Also hope the folks were staying with are good with vaping. Headed north. It's cold there. Real cold there. Good for blowing clouds but I hate it when my teeth chatter on my drip tip.

Looks like a couple of nice choices on tanks. All of this is really subjective. I can only tell you what i like. I have a crown and a few Eleaf tanks that I really like the flavor on. I like coils between .4 and .6 ohm. I get the cloud size and density I like with flavor i like. I run these tanks generally between 30 and 50 watts in wattage mode. Each tank has it's own sweet spot and even the sweet spots change from day to day per what I'm enjoying in a vape at the moment. I like subtle flavors like 8 mile watermelon blast, Dis Dat is cyclone, One hit wonder Rocket Man, VTMN Island, Miss Michigan Apple. All of these are subtle with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Having said that, I also have a HorizonTech V12 that I'll fire up after dinner on occasion with something like Guava Mama in it for a taste bud overload of strawberry cheesecake. Chucks a cloud that would alarm the weather service at 130 watts. For me a little of that goes a long way.

Will do. Going to do another build this weekend. Just for practice
-
Now that is a great idea. Will give that a shot for sure!

I did that but it was not enough to stop the movement from tightening the screws. I'll try it again soon. Maybe I can be a little more firm with the coiling rod and prevent the movement. The other thing I thought of was to ensure the wire was positioned to only be pulled rather than being pulled.
-
I'm using 28ga SS which is obviously very small wire to get higher resistance builds. The screws on the posts are conical at the ends and the wire wedges between the cones and the inner post holes. Just enough for the screw to tug at the wire as the screws are being tightened. I think with a little practice I can use a pair of needle nosed pliers to hold the wire while tightening. I just wasn't prepared for the movement when it happened.
-
I'll look that up on the net. I have no idea what a velocity style build deck is. Do you have a pic?
-
I'm going to have to do a few simple builds first for sure. My first problem was after I made the coil. When I went to mount the coil end into the deck post, the screw in the deck post either pulled the coil in or pushed it out dependent on the rotation of the screw in the post. By the time I got that figured out my coil was already deformed. That's ok. Something to play with till I get it right. And yes, my cats could care less. They obviously do like the smell of vaping better than analogs, however.

You're gonna love this tool kit! The only thing I added to it is a tental pic for playing with the cotton and a big ole magnifying glass, lol. My old eyes were complaining.
