I'm sitting this hand out. Last cartoons were Tom Terrific and the Road Runner, lol. Loved Master Cylinder!

@Adversarious1 Ok, bonded with the GX350 in a day flat. Obviously I can't speak to reliability over time but here is what I got: First thing I noticed on removing the mod from the box is that without batteries the battery door does not want to stay shut. No latching without batteries. Battery door is well marked for battery orientation and the batteries that I used fit nicely in the sleeves provided. It takes a fair amount of pressure to close the battery door with batteries installed. The battery door bows slightly with batteries installed. Sitting on a flat surface the mod will rock slightly from front to back. It sits flat from side to side. The mod is not easily knocked over. Griping the mod is absolutely perfect for me. I have fairly large hands. The shape of the mod fits the natural hand grip the best of any mod I've used to date. Very substantial feeling mod with no rattles. The firing bar is extremely stable with no movement beyond it's intended travel for firing. It is not extremely "clicky" but has a subtle but noticeable firing point. There is a very short delay in firing. Seems instantaneous to me. Obviously the mod has some weight to it per four 18650 batteries. I have carried it in a fleece jacket pocket but it is a lot of bulk for most pockets. I really enjoy the top mounted screen. I like looking at the screen after most every vape (no idea why) and it is very handy. It also came in handy testing TC. Too close to focus on while vaping but I could tell when it was going in and out of firing. A friend who works at a vape shop mentioned that other top screen mods have had failures on top mounted screens due to juice getting into the display. Time will tell. The screen is raised. I have up to 25mm tanks and they fit well. A 25mm is close to max without hitting the screen. The center pin on the 510 is stiff. I have one tank that will not screw flush with the mod. Zero problems with connectivity to tanks/RTA's/eieio. The screen itself displays all necessary information including a puff time which latches between puffs. There is a puff counter but to view it you must enter the menu system. The puff counter also latches and must be reset via the menu. The mod is designed to detect atomizer changes and query input, new or old tank. I find this somewhat accurate. I like to fire the device once without a tank between changes to ensure the new atomizer is recognized. In TC the unit appears to be using the initial atomizer resistance as a base line as there is no facility for locking resistance. Temp control is simple. NI, TI, and SS. The menu prompts you for available wattage and TCR value. I am using a value of 88 for 316L and am getting a very smooth, very well regulated vape without obvious on and off periods. In TC the temp itself is the primary display and is adjustable via up/down buttons on the mod. There is no ramp adjustment in TC. Both TC and VW modes latch. Most menu adjustments can be achieved with only the fire button using either short or long presses. Values have to be changed via the up/down buttons on the mod. The up/down switches are under a rocker style button which can be pressed in center to lock the mod. I have found no facility to lock settings while allowing the mod to fire. Pressing the fire bar along with up or down button will take you to short cuts for changing wattage and mode in TC. In VW mode the short cuts are ramp strength and mode. The mod powers up with five clicks and powers down via menu. I am estimating battery life to be between 700 and 750 vapes. Low wattage vapes ( 30 - 50) @ approx 6-7 seconds, high wattage vapes (90 - 110) at 2-3 seconds. The USB port has a rubber cover. IMHO, nice touch. Paint; Smok and paint; I already have three small chips in the paint. Although tiny and on sharp edges, I am assuming it isn't the best paint job on the planet. Opinion: I love using this mod. Fits like a glove and all functions work well and are easily accessed. I actually like the weight. Feels substantial. Sits well at the desk or end table. Rides nicely in the console of the car. It's small enough for me to palm shift while driving and holding the mod. I think my other mods are going to get lonely.

Congratulations! It is wonderful to see that vape-a-versarys are celebrated here. Of all the "stuff" I can spend money on, vaping gear ranks as best money spent. Haven't felt this good in ages.

You got it! Give me a few days to play around with it and see how I bond with the thing during daily use. Right now I'm pretty thrilled with the thing but I know a lot of that is in anticipation of what I think it will do. Try to imagine a time lapse shot of clouds and stars whipping by in the mean time.

@Bebop Just to confirm; that did it. Trimmed back the cotton just loosely fit the juice channels and Voila! You nailed it spot on. On third the cotton and three times the vapor.

With this I'm out for awhile. This is my holy grail at least for the time being. Smok GX350 Kit with Big Baby Beast. Holy Ba-Jesus! Now I get what everybody is raving about. That tank drips with flavor. I feel like I need to take time to chew. I also get the "turn down the nic as you turn up the watts". This thing hits like a sledge hammer! I still can't get it up to recommended wattage. Tooooooo much for me! I got it to 110 watts. That's my limit. Tried 120 and I thought it would blow a hole in the back of my head. Ya, it's a juice hog but I can only hit it about once every 15 or 20 minutes. Drank two bottles of water in the last hour too. Yowzers!!!
-
I'm pickin up on that slowly. Always worried there's not enough. So I end up trimming it a few times till I get it right. Sent from my iPad using The Vapor Talk mobile app

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm watching Discovery Moonshiners and breaking in a new tank. There's just something congruent with these two activities. Fits like a glove. Sent from my iPad using The Vapor Talk mobile app

This one freaked me out a little as it started out a full .1Ω on the high side then after firing it the resistance dropped to an expected level. I am going to take it apart again tonight as I want to check the tightness of the grub screws and cut back the cotton a little. I seemed just a tad on the try side. Not burnt, but not a clean flavor either. But again with that wacked out build deck, it may never be a great tank.
-
Lol, it did. I performed a propeller-ectomy.
-
This one is weird to my way of thinking. Had to try it. A Horizon Tech Turbo. Yes that Bizarre thing with the propeller in the top. Picked it up on a "get rid of cheep" sale at a local B&M. Lol, I can see why. Anyway, had to try building the RDA deck. What a pain! No way to pre-burn of for that matter check resistance until the whole unit was assembled. Two coils, each 12 wraps of SS 26ga. Assembled it was .49Ω. No way! After a few warm-up hits it went down to .39Ω. That makes sense. But, what the heck happened here? Definitely not shorted. High joint cold? Have I created a pipe bomb? Great vapor production and flavor. lol, much better than I thought this crazy tank could ever produce. Should I wear a welding helmet when I vape this thing?

@FXRich No dog but a cat the size of one. Norwegian forest cat. That would be a hoot. I had no idea horseradish would grow that well. Will definitely try it this spring. Love the stuff.

Ditto per fun with this group for sure!!!

I love this forum!!!! Great idea! Like soup concentrate, just add water and boil! This vapin thing is da-bomb for sure. I'm really diggin makin my own juice and coils. Kinda like new millennium back to roots! The only thing I could complain about but will be honest and won't is that there is always something else to get. Actually I think that's the mark of a good hobby. Next up: Some glass beakers per Edna's science supply store along with some 6mm small end funnels. I might make a stand to hang the mixer from so it can drain back into a beaker. Don't want to loose a drop of that precious juice!! Then of course a lab coat, hair net, and little blue shoe covers so I can terrify the neighbors this summer making juice on the deck along with some Souse Vide steak and horseradish cream (another great use for the mixer). Life is good!

@Uncivil11 Alright!!! I can't speak from experience because I've obviously just started, but I'm lovin it already. Been vapin my home brew all night and not getting tired of it one bit. I'm really diggin the thought that I can vape to my heart's content and know for sure it's still one whole lot cheaper than the old stinkies. Yet another great reason to vape. Fact is, it's already hard for me to compare the two. This vapin thing is just da-bomb!
-
OMG! That is a stitch. Ok, the freezer it is!!
-
Do you have to put it in an oversized bottle or one that is flexible for expansion?
-
Man, I'm hooked. Made a clone of "Rocket Man" and I can't tell the difference between store bought and home brew except that I made the HB @6% and the SB was 3%. I can, however, tell the difference between $0.25/ml and $0.05/ml, that's for sure!
-
Looks like a good idea to me. One way to find out!
-
Update! It turned into e-juice! It's pretty darn good! Right off the coils of a Mutation xS. Heck, I would buy that stuff. Holy Moly, my vapin budget just took a turn for the better for sure. Do a little dance Make a little juice Get down tonight! Get down tonight!

Lol, I did see PG and VG on line in five gallon buckets, lol. The minimum batch with that thing is about 60ml. The blades are recessed and the mixing head is about 64mm in diameter.
-
Oh. I'll try that next time. I saw on YouTube where it could be used to "speed steep" but I didn't think about using it for mixing, obviously. Daaaaa
