  1. Welcome! Sorry I can't help much on pre-made coil tank choices as I use only tanks and drippers with build your own coils. One thing you can do is choose higher resistance coils for any tank to yield less fog and in most cases still produce good flavor.
  2. Success! Blue Voodoo clone. Peach, Sweet Rasberry and just a touch of sweetener. Happy tongue once again! I was getting worried.
  3. Live in a fog and like it like that!
  4. Just vaped my latest DYI attempt. Raspberry, Blueberry, and Greek Yogurt. Nastiest Draino I've made yet. Mega-Yuk! Smelled great in the beaker. Taking my tongue to the emergency room!
  5. Every liquid is so different as well. I was vaping some mild citrus @3mg and 65W. Changed to Some Tiger's Blood @ 6mg and could not deal with it. A lot better @ 55w. Get more vapor too because I can get a good draw.
  6. Two 500ml beakers and flavors! I am mentioning the beakers because they are Pyrex, straight sided, measure greater than 3" in diameter to accommodate a monster blender and weigh in at just over 200g a piece leaving plenty of head space on the scale for brew.
  7. HolyBa****BaAndyba!!! Got my Pharaoh today too. Put in a .27Ω build using 2x24 - 32 SS spaced clapton on a 4mm rod. What a cloud machine!!!! The flavor is there too! This thing is killer! Dripping it will take a little practice I'm sure. Or filling the juice well. Whichever terminology one likes best. All I can say is wow!
  8. Yikes! Came close once. Had a Brass Goon just cookin with a hot build. Gave up before things melted. Got lucky.
  9. I think I've pretty much come full circle with the vape wattage thing. I put together some "hot" builds and pushed up the wattage for awhile. The initial blast of fog and flavor was impressive. I found that I got tired of that in a short while. I've pretty much settled back to builds from .25 to .3 Ω using between 40 and and maybe 60 watts. Mostly more around 40-45. I like the longer draws and with the newer mods with the adjustable initial wattage, I am getting a very pleasant vape. I really like longer more gentle draws letting the flavor build through the draw. I do understand however how some like the more powerful vapes.
  10. Welcome! You are in luck. This one of the friendliest forums I've stumbled into. Lots of folks here with a lot of great experience. Quick note, I'm not one of those folks. I just started one month earlier than you. But like every enthusiastic newbee, I still like to share what I think I know, lol. Regardless, great choice and again welcome!
  11. OMG! I am literally laughing out loud all by myself. The cats seem to think Dad has gone south. I'm more than happy to return the favor! BTW, to qualify that, all the money you helped me spend has been well spent.
  12. For some folks starting out the Aspire Nautilus is a real good choice. It has a real tight draw and mimics the way an analog is smoked very well. It's what's called a "mouth to lung" vape. You draw the vapor into your mouth and then pull it into your lungs. It will also help in using high percentage nicotine e.g. 12, 18, 24 percent without coughing up a lung. I just realized that I'm assuming your a smoker. My bad if that is not the case. There are others that can better explain all of this but it worked well for me.
  13. These guys get stuff out pretty fast at least to me here in Michigan. https://www.myvaporstore.com/Rebuildable-Atomizer-Head-for-SMOK-V8-Baby-Beast-p/sm-uatfv37.htm
  14. Unfortunately it's a separate item to purchase but it's only about eleven bucks. It's a decent little deck. Doesn't hit me like an after thought on the part of Smok. It is on the small side. I've got a pair of 2.5mm coils in there with about three strands of cotton running through each one, lol.
  15. It's so hard to make recommendation. For one, I'm a vaping mess right now struggling with changes in my palate. Second, folks vaping preferences are so widely varied. I have a friend that vapes everything over 120 watts and he gets clouds for sure. I've tried his rigs and he gets some massive blasts of flavor as well but the heat is horrendous for me. I don't care for the trailing dry vaper taste either. I have a .24Ω build right now in my baby beast obviously using the rba head. I hit it at about 45 watts and I am quite happy with both the volume of fog and the flavor production.
  16. Good thought. That's entirely possible. Gotta mull this over a bit.
  17. This sounds interesting, especially coffees, vanillas, and nutty. Any suggestions to get me started? Good to hear that someone shares my disdain for the store bought syrups. I can't really say that I have any right now that are truly ADV. The ones I like the best are subtle and I will develop vapors tongue before the day is through and be vaping no flavor. I carry about three with me and rotate to try to keep things fresh and my tongue alive. I also just stopped by my goto brick and mortar and my friend there hit me with a couple that are pretty decent. Naked very berry and Truve Zelena. He seems to have similar likes to mine. The very berry has lemon in it which I could do without, but not bad.
  18. I believe my taste buds are finally working again and this is creating quite a little challenge. At first most flavors were quite amazing to me which comes as no surprise. Now many flavors are falling off the "vape all day" list. Citrus has become pungent and sweet has become obnoxious. The sweet thing is no surprise. Almost 40 years ago I moved away from complex sugars per the emergence of hypoglycemia. But pertaining to vape flavors this leaves fruits with no sweetness added. Pretty limiting. Most all over the counter vapes are not hitting the spot. I am going to start testing on individual dyi fruit flavors this weekend. Right now I'm down to a couple of strawberry recipes and one pineapple. If anyone has gone through this and has recommendation from the "other side" so to speak, please share!
  19. Not a full review by any means, but just thought I would share what I have noted. Almost identical in size to the Smok Alien. Obviously in direct competition. Unit is very solid. Zero rattles etc. Fire bar has zero movement beyond intended momentary switching. Battery door has an excellent latch. Very comfortable to use IMO. Screen is a little harder to read than the Alien screen, but not difficult to read. To me the menu system is a little cumbersome with some functions dependent upon simultaneous pressing of fire bar and adjustment switches. Preheat function is more robust as you can set initial wattage and initial time. Alien is more simple to operate with preset H,M,L preheat selections. Preheat on the Predator is smooth and functions well. I picked up a black one and the paint job is excellent. Works well with every tank and dripper I've put on it. Haven't taken the time to play with the temp control yet, so I can't comment on that. Nice stable two 1860 series mod with a fire bar.
  20. Three months. That time in past attempts to ditch analogs that I was an agitated mess. I celebrated with a Predator and a Limitless. I continue to be amazed and grateful. I have four diy liquids that I enjoy more than any over the counter e-liquids I have tried and absolutely love trying new RBA builds and wire configurations. I want to know what the single coil provided with the limitless is. Five wraps of porous multi-strand coil that meters out at .26 ohm. Amazing! Right in that sweet spot between .2 and .3 ohms that yield that huge latitude of applied power with enjoyable vapes. Obviously a lot more to look forward to with this hobby/direction. Venison potato soup in the crock pot and ice cream in the fridge. And I will be able to fully taste them! Looking forward to six months! Sent from my iPad using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  21. Very cool! More than one way to skin the cat!
  22. Brass Goon. Shown on matchy matchy Alien. Single coil fused clapton SS. Vaping Ogre Ooze home brew. Ok, crazy day at shop is effecting me.
