  1. lmao, Which by the way hurts like h*&& right now. Thanks. Google-fu strong, common sense lifting, not so much.
  2. Lol, No, I just threw my back out a bit ago and can't leave the heating pad, lol. Plenty of time to look for O-rings. It's costing me too. I bought a new atty, some squonk pins for the Goon, more wire, and a clone mech mod. I need to get away from the computer, lol.
  3. Does this look right? @Squid http://121vapes.com/shop/starre-tank-replacement-o-rings/
  4. Wow, wish I could help but I don't own either of them. I get the sense that Smoant is putting out a bit better quality consistently, but I really can't even qualify that. Just from catching chatter.
  5. Your post made me look. Here are the only TFV12 coils I could find:
  6. In that case I'm stumped. My Alien would jump out of TC and revert back to power on occasion but when it stayed in TC it did a pretty ok job of hitting temperature.
  7. Sorry about the delay. I had to turn over the computer to my wife for an hour. Webinar for being the National Honor Societies coordinator for her school. Yea! Now she can put in 26 hours a day.
  8. I'll second that for sure. A Kanthal coil would drive the Alien nuts in TC mode. TC counts on the coil changing it's resistance at a known rate as temperature changes and Kanthal does not change enough to be detected. It's surprising to me how few premade coils state the material used. Kanthal and Nichrome are the usual standards.
  9. What are you using for a mod? All mods do not do TC the same way and some claim TC but don't accomplish it.
  10. No idea o 20Ga. Here's what Steam engine came up with:
  11. Sorry to say, the ones you don't like, lol. Fruits without a lot of sweetener are the best I've found for making a coil last. I guess I'm fortunate in that regard, those are the juices I like to vape. Everybody enjoys vaping differently and I don't want to "stir the pot" but as an example I get about a month out of my RTA's using temperature control and fruit based juices. It just worked out that I enjoyed things that make coils last.
  12. RBA is kind of a generic term. Re-Buildable Atomizer. RDA is the drip. Re-Buildable Drip Atomizer. RTA; Re-Buildable Tank Atmoizer. Then there are RDTA's GTA's and all kinds of eieio's. Too many acronyms, lol.
  13. Between the juices you like and the temperatures you like, you may be getting what you can out of a premade coil. Ever give any consideration to RBA's? I fully get not wanting to play around with a bunch of thin wire but I get a lot better performance all the way around with RBAs. Flavor, fog, longevity. Just an option.
  14. Wow, that's crazy. I've had a couple drinking glasses where the bottom just fell off. Really a bizarre sensation. Got the glass almost up to my mouth before I realized what happened. Felt really stupid sitting there holding the bottomless glass.
  15. @Earthling789 Back when I was using a hand blender to mix, I used the plastic container that came with it. It turned a milky white like instantly. That worried me.
  16. @Earthling789 Got it. Makes good sense. Knock on wood, or maybe don't knock on anything, I haven't broken any glass yet.
  17. Ok, I guess it's time for me to ask and learn again. I went Pyrex because of concerns of leaching. Obviously that is not a concern?
  18. You always make me chuckle. Did you get a discount for getting the "empty" version?
  19. Wow, that is a real open ended request. What's your criteria for "good"? There are some real prestigious mech mods out there. As mentioned Yihi is a quality mass produced regulated mod. The Evolve DNA PCB offers great performance and can be found in Lost Vape mods, HCigar mods, as well as others. WhiteRose mods are hand made and guaranteed for life. The guy that makes these uses an number of different configurations from Mech to DNA. He will work with your design regarding esthetics. I have an old Eleaf Pico in stainless steel and it is holding up very well. A good example of a "good" mod that is not expensive. I've had good experiences with Vaperesso. I also have a Kangertech and a Council of Vapor that I like a lot. I've go an IPV8 that the paint chips off of and the battery door likes to flop open, but I put a silicone band around the bottom of it and enjoy using it. Real good pcb and a very solid case, battery door withstanding.
  20. Ok, here's my contribution. They make such a cute couple. Turn on the bubble machine!
  21. Oh Ya!!! Dat will be da-bomb!!!! For sure, for sure, for sure!! She's a twentieth century fox, oh ya.
  22. I don't know what there is about squonking. In all seriousness, I have a few RTA's that will deliver equal flavor to RDA's but there is something about a squonk mod and atty that just beckons me. Just today, I'm coming home from a short day at the shop. Coming out of a traffic circle, entering the on ramp and working through the gears. I give it a squeeze for a fresh squonk and take a hit. Santana coming out of the speakers. Life is good. Everything fits somehow.
