It's Wild. It's Wacky. It's A Trio Of Juice Reviews!
brijmin replied to Schlitz's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
You sir are a brave man. Thanks for the reviews. -
Hello stupidchristina and Welcome to Vapor Talk. Based on your story above, I would recommend NOTHING. You have no need to start Vaping. By the way, you have an interested Screen name. But just for fun let me answer your questions. Sorry I am going to be a smart here. I just cant help myself. Q1. Not addicted to Nicotine. A1. Anything with 0 MG of Nicotine will do you fine. I recommend Water. Q2. I don't know what e-cigarette to get as a beginner for 0 Nicotine consumption. A2. This was sort of a two parter question so along with the water I Recommend a Cup. Q3. One that makes a lot of vapor. A3. This one is easy. I recommend a Shower. Make sure the water is hot. You will get much Vapers... Q4. Not too large and something with a nice battery life in the $30-$60 range. A4. This one is tricky because of my recommendations above. You will need a Bottle of water, A Cup and a Shower. All of this can be had for around 5 bucks. Seriously if you are not a smoker there is no need to vape. Move along there is nothing to see here.

Holy Crap. 10ML a day!?!?! You know you are supposed to breath in between vapes. Just kidding. If you want to cut down on the liquid try and increase the nicotine. Most juice makers don't charge any more for a higher NIC level. If the Throat Hit is too much on the higher NIC then increase the VG. As far as I know there is no sugar in any of the juices that I have. It definitely does not taste sweet when it gets in your mouth. Sometimes I think it would be helpful to be a Chemist and an Electrical Engineer. Or like just like tinkering with stuff.

Yeah, you can not have too many "backups".
-
Thanks. Now I am not going to get that out of my head. Thank God I don't have a mod that looks like a dildo.

I just thought I would report back on this issue. I took the juice that was supposed to be 70/30 PG/VG and added some PGA. Well actually I added 2 cap full of Three Olives Vodka. Shake well and vape. Not only did the Vodka thin the juice out it is f'ing outstanding. I can not taste the vodka, but it seems to have enhanced the flavor. Just so you know this was Backwoods Malty. The consistency was that of heavy syrup. My normal juice has the viscosity of pure maple syrup. I just added enough to change the viscosity of my other juices. I did not measure the drops. Thanks again for the tip, and it gives me a reason to keep some vodka on hand...

Yes, please do let us know how these things work.

Your search for the perfect replica of any analog may be futile (IMO). I would suggest sampling a few tobacco flavors and see what one you like best. Part of what makes a Parliament taste like a Parliament is the burning of tobacco. You will not get that with any eJuice. I tend to like tobacco flavors when I am drinking. Something about the two just go together. Now that I am not a smoker I am all over the place with flavors. Check out the PM flavor from eliquidplanet. Backwoods Casablanca Blend. But this is not Parliament.

You get a +1 on that one Jeff.

Just a quick question. What term do you prefer when talking about your device? PV or E-Cig I prefer to use Personal Vaporizer because the word Cigarette has such a negative connotation that some people can't get past the fact these are NOT cigarettes. PV's are as close to a cigarette as a Schwinn is to a Ducati. Even less so... Anyways take the poll above and tell me what you think.

Fox News: John Stossel Supporting E-Cigarettes
brijmin replied to Christopher's topic in General Vape News
That's awesome. Did you see the look on the reporters face when John offered her to take a look at the PV? You would have thought he offered he a SNAKE. The words Cigarette and Tobacco have such bad connotations now that when people hear e-cigarette they only think of the bad "shyte". What non-smokers need to understand is this is the very reason to make the switch to a PV. -
As well as being thick (viscosity) VG also tends to be smooth, little to no throat hit. VG vapor is visibly thicker when exhaled as compared to PG. Hope this helps.

OMG, another Michigander... Sweet. I would love nothing better then to start a Vapor Talk retail outlet with Chris. To be honest I don't know Chris and I am not affiliated with him in any way, but I know a good person when I "see" one. I really have no extra time to start such a business, but I think it IS a good idea and I like helping people. Should a time come when I have more time and have a few extra bucks I may get serious about such a venture. Until then I plan on hanging out and helping people.

Good idea. Thanks for the tip.

I am thinking Great Lakes Crossing. May want to start with a flee market... Booth space is much cheaper. (I think) AimeeG, you from the Mitten? Or did you look up Fenton to get the name of the local major malls?

A little vaping to settle me down. Here is a plan. Open a kiosk for only 3 months a year. January - March. Pick the town of your choice. Pick a mall of your choice. You will need 2 employees. One to sell the wares (software and hardware) and the other to hold free demos and answer questions and hand out information and samples of VT wares. The kiosk should be equipped the following... Point of Sale station Internet terminal 2 or 3 video demo stations playing all the demos and reviews done by phee303 plucked directly from YouTube. Knowledge and power of the VT Community. The main goal should NOT be to sell stuff but to educate and start the roots of vaping. This is like 3 months a year of advertising for Vapor Talk store. Give me 10 minutes with a smoker and I am sure they will become a vaper. The problem with MY demo's is that I can not send them home with any wares. Its not like i am selling anything to them. I am just doing my thing, and answering questions. Just like on the forum, but in real life. I am by no means an expert on all things vaping, but I am leaning more everyday. Time to de-bridge an atty and vape the night away.

I still can't help but to think there has to be a business model that could make this work. If these sunglasses and phone case stands stay in business I would think this could work too. Even if the mall would not let the employee demo the devices, there is pre-recorded video that can be played on a loop. If there is a problem with the nicotine not being sold to anyone under 18, sell 0MG eJuice at the stand only. These are Personal Vaporizers right? It's not that we are trying to sell dope to kids. These are full grown adults that want to kick the SMOKING habit. Going to an existing tobacco store won't work because they will only care about the profit and not going what's right and good for the consumer. I bought my first e-cig from a local tobacco shop and that was the most expensive ignorant mistake I could have made. Now that I look back on that, the store employee was even less knowledgeable then average noob. Their goal was to sell me the most expensive (POS) they had on the self. I spend 80 bucks on junk. Sorry, my ADHD mind kicking in. I need to vape something...

I am thinking they just don't know about VT. Let's educate Dr. Vapenstein.

Hi there YogiDaBear, you can never have too many bottles and flavors. I think i have 8-10 flavors right now and will be ordering more very soon. I think i could vape one flavors for every day of the week and still not run out of flavors. Personally I would recommend getting one of every flavor you may think sounds good. I average 1 to 2 ml a day. So a 10 ml bottle would last me 1 to 2 weeks depending on how yummy it is. The best part about having so many flavors is that I can give the the ones I don't like to friends. This may sound odd, but one man's trash is another treasure. Just because I don't like it does not mean my friends won't.

I just found a site that is interesting and I happen to agree with. Check out the Vapenstein Awards.

I feel like a walking billboard for Vapor Talk and e-Cigarettes in general. I tell everyone that will hold still for a few seconds about this wonderful site and the all new way of enjoying nicotine without all the junk I hated about smoking. If i had more then two nickels to rub together, I would ask Chris for a partnership and open a Vapor Talk storefront. I have never been thrilled with the mall kiosk only because they (generally) sell over priced and inferior products with little to no warranty. The real problem other than capital is operating costs for a storefront. Someone that runs a store would have to charge more for the same products they can get online because of the operating costs are mush cheaper online. Just rambling... Just got some new juice from BWB, must go vape my brain's out. Later peeps.

Crap, I just noticed that Jolly had these in his Sticky http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/8803-the-noobie-guide/. Feel free to delete.

Sometime the vets on the forums tend to use terms and slag for some of the most common items, methods and hardware for vaping. This is not the ultimate guide but should make some of the terms a little clearer. (I hope)... Basic Jargon Vapor - Vapor is the substance exhaled when using an electronic cigarette which may look similar to cigarette smoke. Vaping - The act of using an Electronic Cigarette (as opposed to "smoking", as the device creates a vapor rather than smoke). Vape - Used often in place of the word smoke. I vape, I'm vaping. Batt - Battery. Atty - Electronic component that turns the eJuice into vapor. Cartridge or Cart - The part of a three piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. Cartomizer or Carto - The part of a two piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. Analog - Traditional tobacco cigarette. DIY - Do It Yourself. Dripping - To place a few drops of liquid directly onto the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. Drip Tip or DT - A special attachment used to make it easier to drip eliquid directly onto the atomizer. Mod - Modified (custom built) e-cigarette. TH - Throat Hit a strong feeling in the back of the throat when vaping. Primer Puff - A short, quick mouth inhale on the electronic cigarette similar to the action when smoking a pipe or cigar. This heats up the atomizer before a full draw. PV or Personal Vaporiser - An electronic cigarette. Some prefer to use this term as the word 'cigarette' has a lot of negative connotations associated with it that do not apply to PVs. PCC - Personal Charging Case / Portable Charger Case. Passthrough or PT - A USB adapter for the Electronic Cigarette which screws onto the atomizer like a battery, but draws power from a USB port. E-Liquid / E-Juice E-Liquid / E-Juice - A Flavored or unflavored liquid for use in an electronic cigarette, usually (but not always) containing nicotine. VG - Vegetable Glycerin PG - Propylene Glycol PEG - Propylethylene Glycol PGA - Pure Grain Alcohol NPG - Not containing Propylene Glycol. Sometimes used as a synonym to Vegetable Glycerin. Nic - Nicotine Cartridge Related Filler - The clump of fibers that hold the liquid in the cartridge. Stuffing - Another term for filler. BFM - Blue Foam Mod. (cart filler material) Dripping - To place a few drops of liquid directly onto the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. Dry Smoking - Same thing as dripping, referring to the fact that the cartridge us usually not filled, therefore dry. Tailpiping - Vaping directly from the atomizer without using a mouthpiece/cartridge. Drip Tip or DT A special attachment used to make it easier to drip eliquid directly onto the atomizer. Topping Up/Off - To add a few drops of liquid to a partially used cartridge to prolong its use. Measurements LR - Low Resistance HV - High Voltage (typically a 5 or 6 volt ecigarette) IMR - A battery with lower internal resistance and a high discharge rate, good for high drain applications like ecigarettes. in - inch (also abbreviated ") (1 inch = 25.4 mm) mm - millimeter (1 mm = 0.039 inch) cm - centimeter (1 cm = 0.394 inch) oz - ounce (1 fluid oz = 29.5 ml) ml - milliliter (1 ml = 0.034 fluid ounce) cc - cubic centimeter (1 cc = 1 ml) mg - milligram (often used as measure of nicotine per ml of eliquid) mA - milliamp (often used as a measure of available power) mAh - milliamp hour (often used as a measure of battery capacity/duration Forum Phrases PM - Private Message Troll - Somebody who makes a statement with the intention of annoying or angering other posters. This person usually ends up banned.

Hilarious and true. Does anyone remember when you could smoke on a plane? I do... (damn I'm old) I never thought I would be forced to not only go outside to smoke, but off the property. Yes that's right, my office declared this a NON-Smoking property. Smokers have to walk 2 blocks down the road (it's a big building) and light up on the sidewalk. The sidewalk that is not in front of the building. That's about the time I discovered Vaping. Now I vape at my desk and I don't HAVE to kill anyone. Prison is not my bag or tea.

Funny stuff. Thanks for sharing.
