  1. @Tam I usually get about six weeks to a coil just casually vaping daily, so I do get 3 months out of each coil with very little effort. But like you mentioned, they're pretty inexpensive now. I am going to start making my own coils, being retired and all, it'll make for another nice hobby. [emoji847] Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  2. @ Walt, we even have the same name, Walter here, pleased to make your acquaintance. [emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  3. That's great info Walt, thanks. I've learned a lot from this forum and YouTube. Also, my neighbor has quiet the set up so I've fooled around with coil building and it's actually easier than i thought when I was a noob a couple of years ago. Every aspect of vaping becomes more clear with a little patience, knowledge and experiences from other vapemiesters. Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  4. Hey Walt, what kind of wire do you use for your RBA's? I'm going to start building my own coils and was wondering if ss is best overall. I do want to stay away from Ni200. Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  5. I was wandering if anyone had tried cleaning used drop-in coils for extended use using any of the many methods on YouTube? I tried it on my coils from several tanks I have and I get about 3 months of use per coil vaping daily. Once cleaned, they are practically like new. Ive only cleaned each one twice so I've never gone beyond that as I suppose I've achieved the max value from each coil. Any positive/negative experiences??? 9. Would it be possible that the notches on either side over saturate the coil? I tried putting in just enough juice below the notches but the same problem occurred. Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  10. I'll try a higher VG, don't have any on hand though, but I'll get some. Thanks for the help folks!!! Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app

  12. I need some words of wisdom. I have a Smok XPro M45 which has vw & mech modes with a Cubis Pro tank which came with coils. The Joyetech BF Coils .5/.6 ohm coils work great. When I drop in the Joyetech NotchCoil .25ohm, it gurgles, spits, boils and gets really hot. I've tried both wattage and power modes and have adjusted the watts and airflow and can't get it to work. It's rated 30-70 watts and I've tried going a little lower which doesn't produce much cloud but still gurgles and increments of 5 above 30 to the max I can go of 45 watts. Appreciate any help folks and much thanks! Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  13. I found out about the VT store/website through Groupon in Canada and I placed an order for the Bekuali starter kit. I see that Groupon still has it though I've read a couple of reviews that mentioned once they purchased the Groupon and directed to the site, folks found the Bekuali starter kit cost less on the site than with the Groupon. The starter kits are a great intro to vaping and to the VT site and I purchased several for friends and family to try. Great deal at only $10 bucks! 14. Hi everyone, well here I go again with a noob question, please forgive my ignorance. Is a drip tip the same thing as a mouth piece? The reason I'm asking is I want to change the mouthpieces of my Joye eGo AIO and Joye eGo D16 AIO or other mods I have ordered. Thanks so much folks! 15. Thank you all for such great input. I've learned a lot with the different topics at the VT forum and appreciate how helpful and thoughtful the folks are here. I went on YouTube to view how to make coils and ejuice, but it's not something I'm keen on at this time. I did learn a lot about the differences between RBA, RTA, RDA & RDTA's as well as cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks, batteries, 510 system, mods, chargers and health and safety. I was so intimidated and overwhelmed by it all but now find it pleasurable and exciting when I shop at the VT Store. I suppose we all were noobs at one time and a little patience and education goes a long way to rid of anxieties of the vaping world. [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  16. I am going through about 5ml per day with the Joye eGo & Joy eGo d16. I vape casually all day and the battery for each lasts about two days. I was going through only 2.5ml daily with the Bekuali pen at 1.8ohm. Thanks for your input everyone. Also learning a lot about vaping through YouTube, google and online searches. 17. I've been vaping for over a year now and wanted to know about the different styles that folks use to personalize their vaping experiences. I started with a pen style eCig by Bekuali from the VT store that I enjoyed and it came with eliquids and coils -1.5, 1.8, 2.5ohms. Then went to Joye eGo AIO's and was blown away by sub-ohm clouds, but went through a lot of ejuice. Just ordered the Smok Xpro M45 mini box with cubis pro tank which is sub ohm and has variable voltage. I put my self on a wait list for the SMOKTECH G PRIV 220W TC AND TFV8 BIG BABY BEAST FULL KIT. What I want to know is how can I produce a lot of cloud but not go through so much ejuice? I'm really not into building my own coils or making my own ejuice. Appreciate your input [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  18. I started vaping a year ago with the Bequali starter kit and enjoyed it very much. Last Fall, I bought a couple of Joye eGo AIO's and was blown away by the sub-ohm clouds but they sure go through the juice quickly. I've just ordered a Smok Xpro M45 mini box which has a built in battery with the Cubis Pro tank. Now just waiting for the SMOKTECH G PRIV 220W TC AND TFV8 BIG BABY BEAST FULL KIT to be in stock. My questions are: 1.since I consider myself only an intermediate daily user, how would I get started in building coils? 2.Do users do it to save money or make personalized coils to suit their needs? 3.Can it be dangerous and is it worth the effort and frustration over ready made coils? 4.How about the equipment needed taking into account that I have no knowledge of buildables? 5.Should I just stay with the starter kits as they already come ready to go and I just have to pick matching coils and batteries which is easy for me now than a few months ago? Sorry, I know it's a lot of queries and really appreciate any feedback.
  19. Hi Hugh.melton.1, welcome to the forum. You'll enjoy experience here as I have; lots of great info! [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using The Vapor Talk mobile app
  20. When I browse at VaporTalk.com, I usually look at the specials first. When I see an item that is interesting like the E-Mech By Dovpo for example, it's on sale for $5. Then in the description it mentions the type of batteries with the link. When I click on the link, there are so many types of batteries with different wattage and amps that it's so daunting and that discourages me from now looking for the right tank, coils, charger etc. If there was a list of parts Suggested for the item, it would make it easier to shop, especially for people new to vaping. I know I can go on chat or email but there would be way too many queries from me than I'd like and probably frustrating for the sales agent. I've tried to go through the different topics on the forum but even that is confusing. Even the suggestions I received are confusing, so I always go back and order the Bekuali Premium starter pack because that's all I know that comes with everything and the coils are distinct (emus) so easy to order, though they only come in 2.5ohm. Also, if the items were more descriptive as to what else one would need to complement starter kits so that when you receive your vaporizer than find out that the coil is only good for a couple of weeks, one would have to order the coils and wait for delivery and by that time you are sort of high and dry as they say. I couldn't imagine trying buildables without taking a course (lol) as this is something that interests me as well as making my own coils. So I've spoken with family and friends and we are all confused when browsing through VaporTalk.com, so we all have the Bekuali starter kit. There are other sites that sell vapor items but the service, selection, quality and prices do not come close to that of VT. I've really had great service from VT and even for a couple of items that never arrived, I had customer service including yourself making it a positive experience and that's why my family and friends are loyal to VT. Well, sorry for rambling on, I hope I've given you some information that may make shopping easier for customers and maybe you can give me some pointers on how to shop or be more knowledgeable about the merchandise on VT so that I can also pass this on to my family and friends. cheers!
  21. Thank you all for the warm welcome. I've been using the Bekuali Premium Starter Kit sold on VaporTalk.com. It comes with a pen style vaporizer and includes eliquids & a charger. The pen comes apart with a seperate battery, coil, small tank and mouth piece. I've bought several of these and many different eliquids. I'm not a smoker but enjoy vaping and prefer zero to low nicotine (0-3mg). I only use it when at home relaxing and making smoke rings and other tricks. I've also introduced this kit to many family members and friends who enjoy it the same as I and none of us were or are smokers. I really want to discover other gadgets that I can build but cannot figure out what goes with what on the VT website or maybe it would be best to stick with all inclusive kits??? https://www.vaportalk.com/us/product/bekuali-premium-vape-kit/
  22. Hi everyone from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I've been vaping for a year now and have a few premium starter kits and liquids from VT. I would like to take my vaping to another level (longer lasting batteries, larger tanks, bigger clouds) but need lots of advice as to what to get and what components are compatible. I find shopping at VT a pleasure but cannot figure out what components go with what. Even starter kits are confusing when it comes to ordering extra coils etc. Anyway, I'll keep on going through the different topics and learn a few things but would totalling appreciate any advice for a rookie as what would be a good fit heading into the intermediate level.
