Hey Nox , Ok, figured out the gurgle issue! Took the cart off that I was using empty so I could drip, carefully inhaled over the cone, no gurgle. Replaced it with a new cart NO GURGLE again! I hadn't made sure that I lined up the first cart correctly each time and part of it (closest to the atty) was distorted from melting. I'm guessing something in the way the air/vapor was flowing through the bad cart was causing condensation and as it ran passed the side vents and was trying to pull the condensed droplets back up through those vents, thus gurgling. Again..hope that makes sence other than only in my mind. So, you were definately right... familiarity with the set up helps a lot. Hoping this expanation may help someone in the future!

Speaking of the gurgle gurgle.. I get that ever since I soaked my atty (510) in hot water! I also removed the wick threads. Blew it out really well, let it stand to dry for two days... when the gurgle finally stops, I get a really HOT vapor and very little flavor! I'm sure removing the wick is probably the reason for the hot vapor, but the gurgling is just annoying! Any thoughts on this one?

OK....YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!!! Just mixed my first batch of English Toffee!!! OMG, I may have found my all day vape! I know, I may have said that before but DAMN!!!! Started with a 6 ml batch, according to Todd Mullers recipe calculator....added another 10 drops of flavor, 4 drops of vanilla and thickened a bit with 100% VG! HEAVEN!!!! Immediately upped the recipe and created 20ML- had to top that with VG too to get a good vape exhale but it didn't really diminish the flavor! I like mine strong so it took 1 1/2 drams of Lorann English Toffee but WELL WORTH IT!! I have to say, I'm getting hooked on mixing!!

When I first got my ego and connected the battery, my light would change from red to green then stayed red for a long time. Finally, after straightening out the cord it went green within 10 minutes. I haven't had a problem since. I know they do flash red/green when they're getting close to a full charge but what happened was different. Sounds like your charger has issues if you can hook up the batt and get a charge enough for a couple vapes, then have to switch out batt's again it seems like you're charging but not at the proper flow. I agree with Birddog, probably a defective charger. I'd make that phone call ASAP and ask them so send you another asap!! Hang in there! As a recent "convert" I promise you, you'll be glad you did. I'm going on 11 days w/o an analog and HONESTLY have NO desire to light one up. This is HUGE after smoke 1+ pks a day for well over 25 years! <God, I had to add that up...I was still thinking it was 20 years!

It could be that the first two bottles of juice I bought from a local store were really really thick and my brain was thinking that is "correct". I did notice that the VT Macchiato was MUCH thinner than those two. I used a 48 mg, 77/25 pg/vg nic and cut it with vg down to 12mg nic. Once I added the flavors is where I noticed less vape and thinness. After I got my taste where it was okay, I added about 10 more drops of 100%vg to thicken and add more vape. Thanks Kitsune, I'm using Lorann. By the time I got to the point that I could taste it, my mix was very thin! Added VG to thicken it back up, and of course the taste diminished again. Experimenting with Lorann Apple right now. Started at 20% flavor, not quite enough... upped it to 25% less the 3 drops I used to driptaste...almost there... getting ready to shoot for 30%. I thought I read somewhere that you (Kitsune) like your flavors strong at about 30%, how do you keep the juice thick enough?

Snub, I'm there with ya! I had bought some WEAK grape at a local smoke shop, and today finally found Lorann at a local store. Only bought a couple basics (apart from the ones that I'm waiting to arrive via snail mail) just because I refused to wait! Since the grape was soo weak, I figured that I could overpower it with Cherry. I've got about 15 ML left of the grape (at this point I'm not worried about diluting the Nic MG). So far I've added about 1 ml of the cherry and am not getting much cherry flavor, believe me I'll keep adding until I get the taste I want.. but I feel your confused pain. The mix certainly smells like cherry! I like Kit's idea of a couple drops of PG or VG and a couple drops of flavor to check it out.. that should help with determining ratios of flavor to other ingredients. I'm going to have my rmmate vape the cherry and see if he can tell me what he "tastes"- maybe my toungue is just fried!

Here's another question... I just filled a brand new carto with VT Macchiato. I used the (drip into the silicone cover that came on the carto and push the carto down into it until juice shows up at the top. It took almost 43 drops!! When I vaped it, it tasted a bit foul and had a lot of gurgling (spelling???).. Is there a "wait time" after filling before trying to vape a new carto? i.e. let the filling "fill out a bit"? I'll try it again in a bit to see if it's any better. Thanks in advance.

Kitsune, I think you may have created a mixing monster!! With all the talk, great advice, recipe calculators, and where to go for larger quantities of Nic Juice at a good price (Thanks Brian-another forum on this board, the weekend after thanksgiving will be one of trial and error. After scouring all the stores around here for Lorann's, bottles, etc etc.. I resorted to two hours of online hunting and shopping! Let me know if I've left anything out of my "basket" -Nic Juice 48mg, 125 ML -20 10ml bottles -5 Lorann flavors - none with oil- I like sweet so (Grape, coconut, crem de menth, rootbeer, chocolate)- Hoping for "Mounds" flavor with the chocolate and coconut (oh and wiltons clear vanalla extract- water, alcohol, artificial flavors)- they had that at Michael's- is it okay to use?? -177 ML Humco VG I've vaped so much today through all of this that I'm on my 3rd ego battery!!

Naturally... I just completed my order then came her to make that announcement....THEN I read the 20% code..... I shouldda followed my own comment above.....READ THE BOARDS- SAVE MONEY!! Oh well! Next time!

OK.. I tried to read that too fast... and created another Bahamasboy DUH moment. I took the filler out, laid it on a towel, then put the empty cart in the syringe and plunged! Didn't get a drop! WTF I said to myself!!----- REREAD the post and repeated with the FILLER in the syringe and what do you know???? Again I ask... How did I manage to get two college degrees???

Sounds like a good guess to me Aimee. I just got a visual... probably one of those with the long thin plastic tip that will reach to the bottom of the cart.

Has anyone tried TW Platinum Ice? I've read that their "flavorless" has an underlying tobacco taste but that the P. Ice does not. I'd really like to start with a totally blank pallate. The price is great too! 100ml for around $70 right now. At 54 mg/ml, thats a boatload of batches, screw ups and successful vaping. Also, I'm a bit timid about the 54mg strength for a beginning mixer. I've seen the online calculator to cut it down, but dang.. one false move and you've upped your nic in big numbers! Any info /thoughts/experiences appreciated....as always!

thanks for all the info Kitsune and others. Unfortunately, all the flavors my Walmart had were schilling. So I opted out of those. Checked two more local stores and nothing but schilling as well. So... just to test the vape amount on VG, since this is my first VG experience, I did a 70/20 with distilled water only. It took me a while to figure out that I had flooded my atty, so I was dissapointed at first. However...now that I've blown it out a bit, I'm rocking vape like a Thanksgiving turkey that has been in the oven for 15 hours on the cleaning setting. I can't wait to get some Lorann and nic juice. I'll be calling my local Hobby Lobby and Michaels in the morning. I'm still dying for some heavy grape vape:)

Awesome QT, There is also a solution to the "draw" on that same forum (pg 3 I think). It solved my issue. However you have to be careful not to turn it too much.

OK, you've all got me itching to head out to Walmart for some VG and hopefully flavoring, and then to my therapist!! I fugure experimenting with 0 nic on flavor and VG, I can "cook" on the cheap side, then add my nic as needed later! Who knows, I may become a 0 nic-head. Grape just sounds sooooo good right now!!! I'll keep you posted!
