Tanks can be found all over but some are pricey. I use a homemade syringe tank (cost about $2 to make ) and it has been going strong for about 3 months without a problem. Because of the button being on top of the RS, I use a v2 shorty extension and a mega ego adapter together to get clearance to the switch. A couple of $ each. Suppose you could use 2 v2 shorties. I just use these 2 because I had the v2 extension and then ordered the mega ego cartos and the adapter and they work real well together and give plenty of room to fire off my Maxi. Hope that made sense. The Maxi RS really is a great mod for the price. I've got 2 and have been using nothing else for the last 8 or 9 months. Glad you are enjoying yours also.

I think I know more than I actually do....yep....pretty much in about everything and anything. Crap.....I guess my wife has a legitimate beef...... My .02 cents worth. The Maxi Roughstack from madvapes is a true workhorse...durable, reliable and depending on what batts you feed it you can vape at 3.7, 5 volt (give or take), 6 volt or a throat scorching 7.4 volts. It's affordable ($45 before adding batts and charger) and is so "dumbed down" that even a goober like me can replace the $12 switch (really about the only thing that can ever wear out/go wrong with it) in about 1 minute. You can now get it in a few different flavors as opposed to the basic silver. I have had mine for about 4 or 5 months now and can honestly say that I have been happy as can be with it. I mainly use it at 5 volts (4.8 nimh batts that come off the charger at around 5.7 volts) with dual coils. I have the batts to do the other voltages but this works nice for me. Still on my first group of 3 batts that are now about 2 months old and still kicking (although they now seem to decline quicker....but I have 3 backups ready to go). Batts = $5ish each and the charger = about $9 ( I recommend 2 and keep the batts hot and happy). The best thing about my RS is that you don't have to baby it....in fact, I don't think it reaches it's full potential until you've dropped it on the concrete 5+ times. Great everyday, take it to work, out in the yard..woods..to the lake..you get the idea...take it anywhere and don't worry about getting a nick or scratch on it. It's sexy right out of the box, but even sexier with a few war wounds on it. Hope I didn't ramble to far off topic...I tend to do that..but I hope that gives you even more data to try to digest. Hope you find something that you enjoy as much as I have enjoyed this mod.

Curious about this also. Never fretted it with the Ego, but with the Maxi Roughstack looking kinda like a ....well...pipe bomb, was wondering if anyone else has had any experiences with the Maxi and airport security?

Dual coils will be my next buy also, but not at $15 a pop. Seen them elsewhere cheaper.

Since a couple of you guys are RS users, maybe you could help me with a ?. I get the part of 2 16340's at 3.0 volt to get a 6 volt vape, but then for a 7.4 they say to use a 18350. I see 16340"s at 3.7 all over the place and the dimensions on them match the 16340 at 3.0 volt. Is there a reason you can't pair up a couple of 16340"s at 3.7 to get a 7.4 hit?? Why the 18350 instead? I followed the rules and ordered 2 16340 @ 3.0 and a 18650? (the 3.7 batt) and may look into the 7+ volt thing down the road but was wondering about that. Also, was thinking I might want to invest in some AW batts instead of the ones that M-vapes sells. What do you guys think about that? The 3.0 16340"s didn't have glowing reviews but bought them anyway because when that hits my door on monday I'm going to be ready to go! One more...can the RS be scaled back with the use of a resistor(or vapin vodoo of some kind)to get a 5 volt + or - event. Don't really forsee 6 volts being a problem as the 5 volt PT I have seems kinda tame, but was wondering anyway. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Hurricane, I found them right there front and center on the main carto page(kinda like when my wife finds the mustard in the fridge just somewhat next to but kind of, sort of, behind the milk, but not really hidden from view, but requires a real effort to find it kind of thing) . Sometimes I wonder about me. Oh well, good to know that madvapes carries them. With all of the items that Madvapes carries, along with the boge cartos, and a decent and affordable line of juice, it makes my vape shopping very easy. One stop shopping, if you know what I mean. On the bright side, while looking for the boges I saw that the Maxi Roughstack was finally back in stock, so I jumped on that and come monday night I should be getting my 6 volt vape on. That might be my favorite aspect of Madvapes...their turnaround is very quick. I put my order in at 12:45pm and it was filled and "shipped" at 2:45. Upon checking this morning it had cleared the Charlotte hub and should be here in Omaha tomorrow and in my box on monday. Thanks for the heads up. I can use all the help I can get. By the way...is the "Hurricane" thing related to the Miami Hurricanes?

I'll stand at the fridge with the door open for 5 minutes looking for something, tell her we must be out of it, and she will walk up and grab it in a second. Now I'll check out Madvapes and probably find the boges are a feature product.....and that the roughstack has been in stock always..lol

LOL...just read what I wrote...RH should have been RS...brain fa*t. I'm thinking Rough Stack and all the while I have 3 boys here rough housing around and so it came out RH. I would like to tell you it was a typo or bad keystroke due to my blazing fast typing, but I'm a "hunt and peck" kinda guy.....and the S and the H are not even close to each other so I guess I'll just fess up. Perhaps my wife is right...I am kind of a dumba&%.

Madvapes has become my fave. Vaping some madvapes cherry tobacco right now. Can't beat the prices and the large realm of items that they offer is outstanding. If they would offer the silver threaded boge cartos I would probably not have to look anywhere else for any of my vaping needs or wants. And if they would ever get the maxi RH back in stock (or the RH v2 with the extension) I would be one happy camper.

Side note: Just filled my carto up after 20 minute ride home. Was hitting my 5 volt PT for the most part but also using the ego. Just put in 16 drops and realized that I constantly "overfill". I always have puddles on the counter after a refill so I know the coil in the center tube is keeping wet all the time. And then the flicks to clear the tube. Maybe this will help some. As far as the juice...I vape a lot of 50-50 that is pretty thick, but I just make sure to let it soak (I even flick it to force the juice down into the bottom of the carto) and still don't have the problems you describe. Hope some of this helps a little bit. Maybe Dayvape will chime in at some point. Word on the street is that he's the man.

Really sorry about your carto conundrum amused. We need to figure this out for you because I "have seen the light", and it is a carto. Gotta give props to Dayvape here because if it weren't for his raves about cartos I probably would still be burning up a $7 atty twice a week. I'm using the Boge 2.0 cartos as my mainstay(I have some Ikenvapes cartos and they are very good also, but my everyday carto is the boge) and I am constantly getting a week out each one. The liquids I'm using are 80/20-70/30 and some that are 50/50 and I'm not having the problems you are. I'm not sure if I'm doing something "magical" with them, but here is what I do. With a fresh new carto I take my time loading up. I make a ritual out of it and take at least a half hour or more to fill mine by adding a few drops to it every time I walk by it. I also (on a brand new carto} make sure to put about 4 good drops right down the center tube to lube up everything in there. when it's filled I give it some real good "flicks" (like the old style mercury thermometers) till I can see through the tube clearly. Screw it on and go. I also give it the good flick every time I top off and check through the tube to make sure it's totally open. I'm not sure but it kinda sounds to me like you may have liquid in the center tube that is crusting up on you after it heats up. Maybe give this a try (the real good flicks to clear the tube)and I might add that I top off A LOT! If I steady vape for 5 minutes I top off with 4-6-10 drops...whatever it takes to keep it really good and wet. I really hope this helps.

has anyone tried the tobacco juices from Liberty Flights? In particular the Churchill? If so, could you give me your thoughts on it?

I guess I probably like the riva button better but never had a problem with the ego button so all in all it's a toss up. I really can't tell the difference between the two other than the price tag. Like I said earlier, if I can get a few months out of this riva it will end up being a very good backup in the near future. It's a good device but I hate to keep buying " the car and the gas" every time when I can buy "the car" one time and fill the tank as needed a lot cheaper.

Mine are very young. And now twinkie flavored juice is sounding good. All kidding aside, the riva batts look identical to the ego with the exception of the button and the smooth finish. It seems to kick better but I don't know if that's the difference between 650 and 750 mahs or if that's the difference between a brand new batt and a 4 month old batt. Probably a little of both I suspect. I'll see how it performs over the long haul today. They should easily last long enough to get me into a new mod and then go into the emergency backup drawer.

No memorial service. Joye..er..ego...she is donating herself to science. A "battopsy" was scheduled for this weekend but didn't happen. Later this week for sure. You may want to keep a close eye on those little debbies. I hear there is a desperate band of snack cake racketeers on the prowl in Colorado. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they start expanding their way east. Luckily they seem to be mainly interested in snack cakes. I hope and pray that they don't try to squeeze the pop tart market. Hm...pop tart juice. I believe I could go for that.
