  1. I wish I ran the tfv8 on the rx more so it's more matchy matchy with that drip tip, but the cuboid for whatever reason limits the watts when I run the centurion on it. I just picked up some SS so I'll be making a new build later today and try to run the centurion on the cuboid in TC and see if that works...
  2. My current daily is my cuboid with the tfv8 on it and my rx 2/3 with the centurion rda... I have a fuchai with a velocity sitting on it doing nothing. My small triforce has landed on with the ol lady, and the 30mm has sat idle since I got the tfv8. I think I'm getting ready to trade it off...
  3. That's incredibly odd. I'm somewhat familiar with a couple of the teleos juices (milk, and I forget the other) but I can't figure why it would give a positive result.
  4. X2 on the smok kit with baby beast. I'm looking to pick that setup up here soon. The tfv8 is a great tank too, but like all my other flavor chasing cloud making tanks, coils just don't seem to last. I had high hopes for the tfv8,but alas I'm burning thru coils every other day it seems. I have 2 triforce tanks and the tfv8 blows them away for both flavor and production but the coils have the same short lifespan. I had a tfv4 and traded it off because of short coil life. I can't speak to the coil life on the baby beast, I can't see myself using it much as it's too small for my chain vaping self. I've tried changing juices up, still short coil life. I maitre mine with the puff counters, which kinda sucks cause one tank trends to ride the same mod all the time. Lol But I've accepted this as vape life. My tanks drink juice, but flavor is what I'm after.
  5. I was under the impression that nichrome could be used in temp control mode, but that doesn't seem to be the case for the hyper fancy coils I bought. My rx keeps switching to wattage mode of I try to use ni temp control.
  6. So I had the good fortune of acquiring these 3 flavors, so I figured I'd pass on my thoughts. I used my rx 2/3 with a 2 post centurion (likely clone) RDA with some fancy wrapped flat coils (can't remember the specs) made of Stainless steel. Adam's apple was the favorite, but not by much, it just barely edged King of churn. The flavor was fantastic, good mix of apple and watermelon, by smell you would figure to get a strong flavor of green apple, but that doesn't come thru flavor wise, it's nice and balanced. King of churn came in 2nd (think butterscotch). Flavor was fantastic, well balanced, it was just all around yummy. The only reason Adams apple edged this one was the aftertaste. It wasn't offputting, but it was odd. It had the perfect level of sweetness for butterscotch. Crown Jewels came in 3rd, I started this one, had to put it down for a few days, and come back to it. The flavor profile states it's sweet and tart. Now in all fairness I had tried another juice (local source) that had the same flavor profile, and had the same effects, so it could just be my tongue. I just couldn't get with the flavor, it struck me as either dishsoap, or potpourri. I did warm to it by the end of the bottle, but it was an acquired taste. I'm not saying it was a bad flavor, but just not my thing. At the end of the day, I suggest trying them! They were well packaged, labels could be read, and the dripper was flawlessly functional. The mix is good at 35pg/65vg, which put plenty of flavor on the palate, and no shortage of vapor production. The nic level was slightly higher than what I vape daily, so I got quite the nic buzz on it, but thats not a bad thing really for me. lol And the price compared to others is a deal!
  7. Right? If I can't hook someone up with my unused stuff, I shop for them online and get them the best deals I can find.
  8. I've also found that the rda doesn't like my juice mix. I run 20pg/80vg for my tanks but found flavor and production to be lacking when running that mix in the dripper. But it loves the 35/65 mix of the vapor tall black label juice, so I picked up some 40/60 today and it loves that too. Not much temp control about this one more an rda thing, but something no one ever told me. Lol
  9. Here's the fancy coil I've been rocking. This Saturday my local vape shop has a guy coming in that makes custom drip tips and soothe guy that builds wicked coils. I had planned on going in to get a drip tip or 2, but I think I'm going to have the coil guy make me a build. And I might have to grab me another set of these
  10. So threw good money after bad trying to get temp control to work for me. I had honestly gave up. All the nickel premade coils for my triforce tanks were always wonky, to get them to even hit right I always had to adjust my tcr settings on my mods. My cuboid was the only one I could get the nickel coils to work with, without jakking the tcr, but I still was unimpressed. I now know what the buzz was about. In my opinion, the only real use for temp control is when you're using a rda. Last Friday I picked up a 30mm (likely clone) cci centurion, Saturday I picked up some fancy fused clapton possibly staple coils. (I can't remember exactly other than they are made with stainless) and with my sample vapor talk black label juice, I decided to kick the rx 2/3 into temp control mode. NO MORE DRY HITS! In wattage mode when you get low on juice you'll cook your cotton and get the dreaded dry hit. In temp control, you won't do this as it senses the coil heating up too quickly and won't let it fully dry the cotton out. I'm sold on it now. I know not alot of folks here are rocking rda's, but I wasted alot of time and money on the temp control tank coils. I'm not saying without some work (finding the tcr settings to make it happy) it won't work, but what I've found is it's most effective and useful on rda's. Any others with experience chime in, I'm down to learn more.
  11. Picked up a 30mm rda. Pretty sure it's a clone but it works and doesn't leak.
  12. Agreed. Wide bore to me would be the same inside diameter all the way thru, wide mouth to me just means wider at the mouth end.
  13. Well what kind of wire is in the coil you're using? If it's nickel you use ni mode, if it's titanium use ti mode, if it's stainless steel use ss mode. Now if they are just kanthal coils which most are, use wattage mode.
  14. What wattage are you running? I've found myself running the tfv8 at a slightly higher wattage than 'normal' for me, but only get a hot vape if I crank it way up. Think 120+. About 80w gives me a warm vape with plenty of flavor. That being said, expect some inconsistency in the coils. This isn't limited to smok, I think kanger is the most consistent, but every other premade coils I've used haven't been real consistent.
  15. I think wide bore is a relative term... examples: Not so wide bore... left sub tank mini. right herakles plus. Far right is waaaaaay wide bore, but I'd consider all of these wide bore. Please pardon my messy nightstand. Left to right the 'wide bore ones are triforce 30mm, velocity rda, triforce 22mm, tfv8, and the monster is a centurion RDA. RDA- rebuldable drip atomizer RBA- rebuildable base atomizer (tank vs drip) Basically for either you build your own coils or buy some and wick it (actually put the cotton thru the coils) yourself. Right? I kinda want to get the Kanger dripbox 160 just to have a less messy rda... Oh and Chris, so far I've killed about half the adams apple so far today thru the centurion, it was also local vape shop approved, it was well liked! I can't wait to try the others!
