Hi John! Welcome to VT. I haven't tried either, yet, but the standard answer for a question like this would be to buy both!

My recommendation would be to take a good look at your everyday setup, and pick out something that you would like to improve on. Using myself as an example: I love my subox kit. It is awesome, and most days, it is more than enough to get me through the day. However, on weekends or days when I'm using the train instead of driving, I begin to notice some things I'd like to improve. Tank capacity is the biggest thing. I'm really not keen on carrying extra juice with me while bar hopping with the guys. Battery life is the next issue. I haven't had it die, yet, but I've come close enough to not be comfortable vaping freely. I've got no experience dripping, so I'm not much help there. It seems like a lot of work, but would be cool for an at home setup. I couldn't imagine trying to drip at work or while out though.

Definitely words to live by. I was lucky enough to have a 4ml sample bottle of some juice that will get me through the day without breaking down to buy smokes. I'll have to stop at the local vape shop (I know, but beggars can't be choosers) after work to grab a bottle. This weekend I'll be buying backups of everything! Batteries, juice, coils, tank glass, maybe an extra tank if I can find a good price. I felt like I was way to close to falling off the wagon this morning over something so avoidable. Can't let that happen after only a month.

You wake up with a taste for a particular juice. You eat breakfast, and head over to your stash for a full up right before leaving. And that's when you realize what you've done.. The horror!

Do you vape quickly/ chain vape? The higher vg juice will wick slower than 50/50, and may have something to do with your coils dying too soon. Not sure, just thinking out loud here.

I had housework to do yesterday outside. Painting. It was 90 and sunny. I thought I was going to pass out lol. Needless to say, I'm sunburnt, and tired.

Something about a 0.99 makes me nervous. They're closed today, but I'll give em a call in the morning. They seemed to carry mostly only higher end mods and such, so I hope they wouldn't skimp on the batts.

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendations guys! At under 30 bucks for the charger and a couple of batteries, it seems like a no-brainer. I like the auto-detect feature on that charger. Probably because I have no idea what kind of battery is in there now, aside from the size, which is kind of scary, come to think of it. The shop I bought it from rewrapped it to match my mod, and never mentioned the brand. I'll have to stop over there and ask them what the heck they gave me.

I did not. The rba came in the kit with a couple of other pieces. I'll be posting a thread about it sooner or later, once I have the ambition to give it a try, and the proper safety stuff.

I got some more newbie questions for you guys, this time in regards to batteries and chargers. At the moment, I've got 1 18650 battery that is getting daily use in my kanger subox mini. I'm also charging through the subox directly, mainly because I haven't gotten around to buying a proper charger. So, first question. Should I have more than one battery, and switch off between them? Will this be important for battery life and or safety? Am I ok charging directly through the unit, or should a charger be high on my "to buy" list? I read somewhere that the subox has overcharge/ discharge protection, but the manual only mentions the discharge safety.

This is very true lol. Mine came with an rba, which will hopefully keep me from going broke. Just have to figure out how to use the thing!

I'm going to order some of this today. Do you guys recommend adding any extra flavor shots? Or is it perfect as is? I'll be getting the max vg, 4mg nic.

I've been vaping 90% vg through my subtank mini, and it runs like a champ. No dry hits, even when chain vaping.

The Njoy King isn't too terrible in a pinch, but the battery seems to only last me a few hours. If you are an occasional smoker, or if you are testing the waters, it would get the job done. I like their menthol flavor more than the "tobacco". I have a feeling that if you decide to stick with it, you will want to upgrade pretty quickly. It is pretty much the same process I followed my first time starting down the vape trail. Like BirdDog said, there are plenty of ways to go, and I'll let the more experienced guys offer up that advice.

Yup! When I slip up and have a smoke, the first thing I think after lighting it is "how did I actually enjoy this?"
