I can't say enough good things about vaping. Recently purchased an eGo for my dad for xmas and he took to it was as can be expected for the old man. The desire to share this smoking alternative with those you care about is amazing.

Also keep in mind that what kind of juice you use may determine wether how often the atty gunks up. 100% VG will gunk up faster than 100% PG.

I don't think it's that. He just has a really hard time giving up old habits. He really loves smoking but knows it's going to kill him. That's why I think this is the only road for him. He's making real progress though. He asked me where to buy the cartomizers and drip tips and liquid I bought him and he actually ordered extras. He really is going to try it.

well when he opened it he was a little taken back. His first comment was I'm not ready for this. I told him to just give it a fair shot. Don't try to switch right away and use it when ya don't feel like going out in the cold (he lives in Buffalo) he liked the idea of that and not having to leave his office and go all the way downstairs and outside. I left it at that and didn't really push the issue after that. I know the old man too well and he's like a mule. The more you push the more stubborn he gets. Yesterday he asked me how it worked and I showed him. Huge progress. That afternoon we went out to Niagara Falls and he brought it with. He didn't use it the whole time he was out but I did catch him taking a puff or two here and there. I think if lI keep asking him if he was using it like once a week after I leave it'll keep it fresh on his mind and I'm kinda hoping the weather gets really cold and he sees how much easier it is to use than going all the way outside. Here's to hoping. At least now he knows there is another option.

I received the package yesterday and am still trying to get the old man to get used to it. Gotta use baby steps with him. Stuk in his ways that one. I did get him to try it and he said wow that kinda tastes like a cigarette. That may not seem like much but trust me it's huge.

Yeah I do but I know the old man and he wont even try anything that isn't tobacco and I just ran out of my Bobas Bounty which is what I ordered (so I'm actually out my favorite juice and the one I got for him) and is the only tobacco I've tried that I like. I'll be fine because I have plenty of other juice I like but I'm afraid he's going to not give vaping a fair shot because it doesn't taste like a cigarette. Bobas is the closest I've found. The only one that curbs my cravings when I really want the taste of a cigarette. The situation just sucks all around. It is what it is and I have to accept it and I am getting over it but what really pissed me off is the attitude of the person at customer service at USPS. They said that I should have sent it expedited shipping. I told them that it wasn't an option from the supplier and he had the balls to tell me that maybe next year I shouldn't wait till the last minute and hung up. Sorry my kids xmas presents were more of a priority and I couldn't help when I got paid. Thanks for letting me vent jeffb. You've been there as a helping hand since I joined VT (actually you were the first welcome post I got here) and I appreciate how kind you and everyone here has been over the short time I've been here. Sorry I need to vent a bit. They lost my package which was the juice for my dads new eGo I got him for xmas. It was supposed to be here yesterday and it isn't here today either. I should have known something was up when my tracking # wasn't updating. I contacted Ben over at avejuice and asked him what I should I do and he said that they weren't required to scan anything that wasn't expedited and that I should receive it in a couple days. I know it's not their fault but I just wanted some advice. I'm leaving for my fathers early monday morning and I won't be home until after New Years. Damn USPS said they couldn't even begin a search until after its been out for 5 days. Unfortunately I won't be home to find out if I get it or not. Sometimes I hate dealing with them. I'm not even going to start with their (un)automated service when you call them. Grrr!!!

I said it before and I'll say it again. I am pleasantly surprised at how welcoming and kind everyone here has been. I am a member of other forums as I have many interests and I have all but abandoned all of them because of all the drama.It's nice to come somewhere where people know how to act like mature adults. We may not agree on everything but we can have an adult debate without lowering ourselves to name calling (except for in jest). It's the reason I come here every day. Ben over at Alien Visions is the man. I ordered gorilla juice since it's back in stock and can't wait to try it. I sent him an email asking if he could get it out asap as I wanted it before I left for Christmas and he got it out super quick for me.

You know I felt the same way at first. I was expecting hotter so at first I was disappointed but now that I've looked (rather tasted) at the flavor subjectively I have to say that it's a strong flavor that is sweet and spicy. Very full flavor. I love it even though it wasn't what I was expecting. Most of my favorite juices I thought I hated at first because they weren't what I was expecting.

Well I am going up to see him 2 days after Christmas so I'm going to bring all my juices with me for him to try ( which has reached 30+ in the month and a half I've been vaping. What can I say I'm a junkie.) I'm sure it will have some appeal to him since he doesn't smoke in his office which happens to be in Buffalo,NY. It is winter after all.

I know I'm new to this but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. When I first started trying vaping instead of smoking I thought it would be easy. That it would be just like smoking and that it would be as if nothing had changed. What I can tell you is that I was wrong. I think other people are just as disillusioned as I was. The truth is that it does require a sacrifice. I'm not saying this to be mean. I'm saying this because it's the truth and sugar coating it isn't going to help you save your life. What I can say is that it has been the smallest sacrifice for largest reward. That's not to say that every day is easy. Some days I want a cigarette and none of the 30+ juices I have will change the fact that I want one. What they do provide is a way that makes it easier for me to say no. It takes commitment but I'm glad that it does because if it didn't I would take the little time I have been smoke free for granted. Keep in mind that just because you have a moment of weakness and slip up that doesnt mean you might as well just go back to smoking. Think of all of cigarettes you have avoided and that it would be just as easy to go back to vaping.

Well my father and I were talking about my success with my ecig around thanksgiving and he said one of his co-workers quit with one and he needed to look into trying it. I thought that getting him the eGo was a great gift but I know the old man too well so I need your help. He loves smoking and I know he will be close minded when it comes to trying anything that isn't tobacco flavored. I personally like non tobacco flavors but did buy him my favorite tobacco flavor (Boba's Bounty). What other advice should I give him for the best chance of success? He really needs to quit as his health is much worse than most smokers his age. He had his first major heart attack at 31 and he's 55 now.

I doubt Janty has anything to do with it. If they did we would hear it from them first not a reseller. It definitely looks interesting but I'm a bit skeptical.

KaYoTiiC you won't be disappointed with Geoff's or Atomic Cinnacide. IMO they are both better than any VT juices I've tried. That includes ( I know I'm gonna catch hell for this.) Dulcis. Lol.
