starrelabelletxlady got a reaction from gibinez in Breathing problems
That is a lot of PG. I've noticed how much better my throat feels after switching to high VG liquids. I prefer a 20 PG/80 VG ratio otherwise my throat is raw every morning, and I still have many 50/50 blends to vape.

starrelabelletxlady reacted to Bushwick in "I want a full report on those"
Bebop wants a full report on all the juices shown in my picture (the picture will be at the bottom). I thought this was a good challenge and it would give me the opportunity to add posts to my count so I don't look so shady in the background anymore. LOL
Alright, Bebop. You want it? GAME ON. These will be trickling in over the next couple of weeks. I need to take the time to rewick before trying each one. I also need to vape it for a full day before I give my opinion on it. So I'll start with the ones I have done this with already. I seem to have a fairly sensitive palate, and can often pick flavors out of foods and e liquids better than most. I often puzzle my friends with flavors I find in juices they find bland. Bear in mind I am not at all picky about the juices I vape. I love most everything from coffees and tobaccos, to fruits, custards, and candy flavors. These will all be rated high because I like them. But these are only my opinions. You must also remember that each bottle of juice is going to come out different than the last. Even if it's the same juice. These are just my opinions on the flavors I got out of the bottles I received.
Steep Vapors' "PopDeez" - Steep did a really good job on this. I've strayed from any e juice that is caramel flavored in any way because Caramel tends to be a really harsh flavor when it comes to inhalation. However, these guys hit it out of the park! PopDeez is a caramel corn flavor that really delivers. It's a really soft and flavorful caramel that doesn't burn and ends with a very light popcorn note. The flavor is really light, though. And I found that by the end of the day, the flavor had seemed to fade. I wasn't able to taste the juice very well anymore. I know that this happens when vaping something all day. Especially when you don't use ANY other juice throughout the day. So this is expected. I just wanted to note that it happened a bit more with this juice because they flavor is so light. This was a little upsetting, as I would have loved to have vaped this all day. But I found myself unable to. I'll be buying more of this in the future. 8/10
Samurai Cotton's "Nobu" - Nobu is a fantastic strawberry sour belt. It's a nice strong Strawberry flavor that comes on a bit tart and ends sweet. This is by far my favorite flavor from the new Samurai line and I will definitely be buying more of this. I didn't run into the same issues I had with PopDeez. This flavor was strong and held on almost all day. By the time I got home it began to fade. But that's expected. I am a big supporter of the guys over at Samurai. I love the products they make. And they have been very nice to me. However, I will not talk their juice up just because they treat me so well. I genuinely love this juice and will be buying more of it. 9/10
Bad Drip's "Bad Blood" - I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I am not typically a big blue berry fan. But this juice threw me for a huge loop. Blue berry on the front end with light notes of pomegranate on the back end. There is supposed to be a bit of vanilla in this juice, but I did not find any. I'm going to let this one steep for a while and hope that it will sweeten up and that I will be able to pick up some vanilla in this juice at some point. I will probably buy more of this. It's tasty. But it's not super high on my list of premium juices to re-purchase. 7/10
Nick's Blissful Brews' "Smoked Custard" and "Smoked Custard Plus" - This juice is incredibly weird. I do enjoy the (at first, seemingly) awkward blend of flavors. This one is supposed to be a cigar tobacco blend mixed with a vanilla custard. I'm intrigued. Before I go any further, I want to say that these two are the same juice. The Plus is just made with a higher VG blend and added flavor. They add extra flavor to combat the higher VG mix. Which most of you know will mute flavor by a substantial amount. ANYWAYS. I get very deep toasty cigar notes throughout every drag. And rather than having the custard come in at the end, which is what the description claims, I get it all the way through. This juice is absolutely fantastic. It's a bit overwhelming at times. But it's an awesome flavor overall. I'm also going to let this one steep for a while to see how the two flavors further intertwine. I want to know if the tobacco blend will shine through a little stronger. I used to smoke cigars on a regular basis, so this one piques my interest. The flavor is way too strong in the standard blend, though. So I will have to give it a 6/10. It almost makes me sick after a few drags. HOWEVER! The PLUS version is much more mellow. I could vape it for a much longer period of time. So I will give it a 7.5/10.
More will be on the way soon. I will be adding to the thread every day (Time permitting). So for those of you interested in any of my opinions on the juices shown, stick around. There's more to come. Hope my rambling wasn't too boring.

Its not just VT. This weekend I looked around at other forums that used to be booming back in the day and they are ghost towns now.

Are you guys talking about the Kanger Protanks when you use the abbreviation KPT? If so, I have the original Protank and the Protank 3. There is a big difference between the airflow on those. The original has a tighter draw than the Protank 3. The EVODS fall in the middle when it comes to airflow. The Protank 3 and the EVOD Glass can use the single coils. I do not have the mini versions of the protanks.

I tried rebuilding KPT heads but I just could not. Too small for me to work with and I refuse to wear loupe glasses to see what I am doing. lol I bought replacement heads in bulk too. Those places that used to sell them only sell 5-packs nowadays, but I have not really been looking for them lately so other might still be selling them in bulk.
I found a stash of them awhile back and gave to my sister-in-law. She use them in STM I gave her and turned the mini into an improved Aerotank mega. I found out a while back that you could use those coils in STM after seeing this Video. It works and she is happy with it.

If VaporDNA's page is correct, you can also use Sense Herakles, and Eleaf MELO coils. It might help someone if they get into a bind! I currently use a Project Sub-Ohm SauceCode. They don't have Ni200 coils for temp control, so I use the Sense Herkales coils and couldn't be more pleased. I am really liking this cross compatibility. It makes it handy being able to buy them from many different stores. I guess if you are looking for the ultimate cross compatibility the Morph Tank by EHPRO & Eciggity is the ultimate. It uses Atlantis, Delta II, and SubTank coils along with an RBA. I have not tried it yet.
Back on topic...lol Great service and selection at Sweet-Vapes I will be picking up a Smok TFV4 Tank as soon as funds allow!

I haven't tried all of the Charlie Noble line, but of those I have tried I have liked them all. Best part, my local B&M sells them 2 for $25.

You didn't "misspoke" at all, Jason. For the longest time I wasn't happy with the Subtank mini, so much so that I was thinking of giving it away. After reading about how other members really liked them, I finally gave in and started fiddling with all the settings until I finally found something that works for me. Most of all, I had to relearn how I drew from it and get the airflow just right with the right amount of wattage. With my extra long drip tip (I prefer a cooler vape), the airflow halfway closed down, taking two quick, fast draws to prime the coil and then a longer one like I usually do... and it's workable. I'm starting to like it. Finally.

Brian - knowing what you like I would probably recommend the kpt mini 3 or the mini nautilus. You'll pay a little more for coils but you'll get a little better performance and a more similar draw to the mini davides.
You may find the sub tank a little too fussy.

I'm one of those who are hoping the first Triton was just a faulty tank. When it worked, it gave off the most amazing flavor and performance. The top fill was really convenient too. My fingers are crossed that this replacement will rock my world.

If the VaporTalk store doesn't have it, I order it from Sweet-Vapes 100% of the time. I am referring to hardware, not liquids however. Not a huge fan of the flavors I have tried. I will say I have never gotten anything from them that is not authentic and Dayna has always answered my questions and concerns in a very professional way.

I have ordered from them on Sunday and I get it on Wed here in NorCal. That's fast and I also always get some starbuckets mocha. This time I am getting the new aspire Atlantis. Hoping it gets here before I leave for work, come on vapemail!!!

Their Dragon's Tear is good but you need to let it age for several weeks before the creamy flavor comes through. Also, the chocolate malt (the first flavor I ever tried from them) is really good, especially with extra flavoring. There are so many good flavors from them that I've tried. You just have to go to their site and go a little nuts. They sell 5 ml bottles for $2.50 each so it's easy to try a lot of different flavors without breaking the bank.

Lol. I deserved that!
I really should back away from the keyboard when I'm sick and taking meds. That doesn't help at all...

I was going to tell you to read the rest of the thread when you posted again. Unfortunately, I had some problems with the juice flow controller (as did quite a few other people), otherwise, when it worked, it really was the perfect tank. Kidney Puncher, the place I got mine from were wonderful. They had me send it back and are sending me another to see if this one will work better for me. In the mean time I got the RBA in the mail yesterday, it was a pre-order item at the time. Now, I'm just going to wait for my new Triton to get here and will update shortly after.

I used to think that Nicoticket's Custard's Last Stand was the very best custard out there until I tried Clockwerks Custard by Vaping Watch. They're both very good but I think Clockwerks Custard gets my vote and their customer service is most excellent!

Okay, I just pulled the trigger on the Russian 91% from Mt. Baker Vapor. Thanks for helping me spend money, Earthling. Got paid early and I just couldn't let it sit in my back account without buying something...

Thanks for the reply.
6mg is probably not the issue causing the cough, since you were a pack-a-day smoker, unless you were smoking ultra-lights and letting most of them burn in the ashtray.
Things to try...
Start with a fresh coil (I'd recommend the 1.2 Ohm coil)
Start with your Wattage down around 8-10Wa
Vape... if it is weak or very cool, bump up the Wattage in small increments... 0.1 - 0.5W
Vape... repeat
Once you start to get a slight burnt taste, back the Wattage down 0.1-0.5W
That is what we call the sweet-spot for that juice and coil combo.
There is no set-in-stone rule for X-Wattage, as every device and juice is different, as well as your tolerance levels. Another good trick is to start your intake of a little air before you hit the fire-button, and stop firing before you complete your draw. Another trick is to part your lips a little so you slip-stream a little air along with the vape.
If you stopped smoking recently (less than 6 months), I would recommend an even higher Nicotine level and staying with a coil 1.2 Ohms or higher... it will help you through the cravings. 18mg and a 1.5 Ohm coil did the trick for me, and I was nearly a 2-pack-a-day smoker for 30+ years. I'm running 6mg now, and I've been vaping for nearly 18-months.... but nothing says you MUST lower nicotine levels... that's your choice to do so Sub-ohming is not for everyone... so don't feel you have to keep up with the neighbors and only using the 0.2 or 0.5 Ohm coils. Personally, I can't stand anything below 0.8 Ohm... too hot/harsh for my tastes.
Lastly... drink LOTS of water... vaping drys you out, and a lot of the cough can simply be caused by a dry throat/mouth. Coffee, tea, beer, cola... not the solution... water is the ONLY way to go!

starrelabelletxlady reacted to Kevo88 in Help
If you are using the 0.5 ohm coil, I would suggest trying to do a direct to lung draw instead of a mouth to lung draw. If it is still a bit too much, switch it out to the included 1.5 ohm coil and turn the wattage way down. You can start around 10 or so watts with that coil.
