  1. As long as there is a market for RTA and RDA tanks someone will make them.
  2. I only know one person with a ego one and she put a KPT2 on it. She doesn't like sub-ohm and prefers the KPT2 over the standard tank. Maybe the threads in the tank aren't good and the coil works lose. Have you tried changing coils could be the coil.
  3. I was checking out the website where I buy most of my hardware looking for something new, and noticed these. http://www.kangerwholesaleusa.com/twisted-kanthal-nickel-prebuilt-coils-0-3mm-10-pack/ I don't have any use for them but I thought someone here might. They also have other prebuilt coils too. prices don't seem that bad.
  4. Welcome snapdragons we are here to answer your questions and support your desire to stay off the stinkies. The nearest decent B&M to me is 160 miles away so I buy my stuff online.
  5. You are a lot nicer than what I would have been, I probably would have told them to come and get it and stick it where the sun don't shine.
  6. I was planning on putting a Teflon O-ring in the screw on cap, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I raised the coils and made the posts smaller, and went with 4-40 set screws.
  7. One reason I'm going to raise the posts, make it easier to get the coils in. I will have to make the cap taller but that can't be helped. I'll redraw and repost take me a few days maybe but got to make everything fit. I might design a single coil setup too. I'm kind of copying kanger but I'm screwing the cap on instead of pressing it in.
  8. I haven't put anything into metal yet, best to figure it out on paper first. The holes for the coil are 1/4 in apart Back to the drawing board If you could look close enough you would see a insulator under the post on the left.
  9. I thought they might be too low, only .100 from base to bottom of coil, coils are 26g with 2mm id don't ask me what ohm they are. Also think I should change the posts from 0.188 diameter to 0.140 diameter and change the set screw to a 4-40.
  10. This is as far as I got so far. The threaded holes below the coils are for screws that hold stuff together from below, they will have 0.050 holes in them for air flow. all the screws are 6-32 the coils might need to be higher.
  11. I read somewhere that if you get too much nic in your system it can cause stomach pains, even though the nic isn't in your stomach. Maybe you are just sitting around vaping too much. even though you don't have a high nic content in your juice the amount you vape could raise the nic content in your system. I might not be on the right track but it's a thought.
  12. Just the heat from the coil when it gets red hot will burn all the gunk off. Like comp says the wick will take a lot of heat. Maybe more than the wire, I have had a few wires pop while dry burning and the wick wasn't burnt.
  13. Don't know where you are from but here that would be a civil matter and the police would not get involved. I'm glad I never did business with any of those retailers.
  14. Bebop is probably right about the only difference between Pharmaceutical grade and food grade is the certificate.
  15. Its called shinyitus a terrible addiction. Should be a forum called shinyitus anonymous.
  16. Have to agree with Earthling I use mostly KPT2 with airflow control and 1.8 coils. I guess its all a matter of what you prefer and how you vape.
  17. For the last 1 1/2 years I have been using kosher food grade in my DIY and am still walking around and breathing easier since quitting analogs. Never know I might stick with buying from Aunt Patty I haven't vaped any of it yet but it might be better. High Desert vapes says it sells Pharmaceutical Grade Vegetable Glycerin $16.99 per liter
  18. No ingredient list. I have heard some vg is a by product from making bio diesel. But maybe that's industrial grade. I think I'll go ahead and vape it. If I disappear from the forum you will know what happened. Even if something says pure it isn't necessarily true. From what I hear some diabetics use vg as a sweetener maybe its that stuff.
  19. It says Liquid Vegetable glycerin. off to the side it says organic food grade. Its made by Glory Bee foods in Oregon and sold under the name Aunt Patty's.
  20. I don't have a Segeli but I do have a couple of evics I always use the usb port I don't think I ever had the batteries out of them I haven't had a problem yet. They both have Panasonic 18650 3400mah batteries
  21. I was running a little low on vg for my diy juice so I stopped at a local health food store today and picked up a quart of vg. The bottle only cost $15.50 (a little more than online) The label said it is food grade organic. I tasted a drop of it and it seemed sweeter than my other vg, Anyone else run into this and what's organic vg and how is it different than regular vg.
  22. Welcome and no not many tanks made in USA too hard to compete with the Chinese.
  23. Sounds like a good idea on the pins, only drawback might be stainless steel is non magnetic the only thing holding the pin in would be the wire, kanthal A1 losses its magnetic properties at 600 C the wire would not get that hot under normal circumstances but might lose its magnetic properties over time. might be worth trying though. Nichrome might not be magnetic at all haven't checked into that. My first thought was to use a set screw that way a allen wrench could be used.
  24. I figured I'd use the hardest sst screws I can lay my hands on. Another reason I'd like to use vertical coils is I want to be able to adjust the height of the center post to match the length of the coils. Still researching stuff. Would room for 4 coils be too much?
  25. I would be very cautious of investing money in a vape business right now. New laws popping up all over the place. Of course I shouldn't be saying much I'm considering manufacturing a RBA, but I don't plan on investing a lot of money yet, just in the design stage right now.
