It might taste horrible because it isn't wicking right, is it kind of a burnt taste? Health food stores usually have food grade vegetable glycerin, if not Walmart does. If all else fails some convenience stores have Chinese ejuice that is pretty cheap.

Welcome and you got a good start.
-
There are a few places that sell premade twisted nickel coils I looked into that. I think I read somewhere that when the nickel gets hot it changes resistance, and that way the temp can be controlled. Kanthal may not change resistance enough.
-
At this point I don't know, do you have any backup batteries? most people have backups. I have 2 evics, 2 Kbox minis, and a half a dozen evods. A lot of people have backups for their backups. I can't see going without vaping, it would be like torture. Do you have any Vape stores near you?

I was thinking about TC but decided it might be too new. Kept thinking they might come out with a TC that works with kanthal, would be nice.

Did you ever use a tank on your battery that had more than a 1.0ohm coil? The reason I ask is your battery is supposed to run a coil between .3 and 1 ohm, and running a coil over 1.0 ohm might damage the circuit. Just a thought.
-
Sorry to say yes it sounds like you need a new battery. Try to get one with variable wattage or voltage. The good ones are spendy but worth it in the long run.
-
If you use them on that battery I would recommend 0.3 the power that battery is putting out it would probably fry a 1.5. What I would really recommend is a battery with variable watts or volts, then you could adjust the power going into the coil.
-
I did build one subtank RBA with .5 flat wire, it came out at 1.7 and worked really good. It didn't get very hot after chain vaping, not even overly warm.
-
I can't figure it out, looked up everything I could. Maybe its like Cany said, the mod went bad, it does happen.
-
Not being able to control the watts can cause a burnt taste. I made a mistake in the last post its not a 40W its a 40AMP battery, basically its a mechanical with electronics.
-
I don't believe that battery is a VV or VW I looked it up and didn't see where it was adjustable. The 50W version has variable watts but not the 40W version

You should be good than. I know other people on here have had trouble with the Atlantis, makes me not want to get one. There was another post earlier that was about the Atlantis and a burnt taste. It was about the Nautilus not the Atlantis
-
I don't have a Atlantis so I wouldn't know what the stock resistance is, I use the Kanger subtank. Maybe someone that has a Atlantis could answer your question better than me.
-
The battery you have is supposed to be used for coils between .3 - 1.0 ohms. If you are using a coil that is more than 1.0 ohms you may be overpowering it.

Sweet Vapes has the 1.5 vertical OCC coils, costs a little more than the horizontal coils. I'm running a 1.5 OCC in one of my subtanks just to see how long it lasts, so far 2 tanks. not having a heat problem. How did this turn into a subtank post?

When mixing juice you have to pray to the juice god, or your juice might turn out bad. I use a ripe banana from FW and never had a cloudy batch.
-
I prefer the Efest 20A 3100mah battery for my Kbox mini, but that is only a 50W mod you may need over 20A depending on your coil.
-
You can also get 1.5ohm coils for a subtank. Both of mine came with a .5 coil installed, but have a 1.5 in the box, I have to agree with you Tam the .5 coils are a bit much for me at this point. I really enjoy the light draw but I think I'm going to reduce my nic level from 8 to 6 or maybe even 3 try the 1.5 or the 1.2 whichever came in the box and lower the air to the lowest point. Like Earthling says its like a KPT on steroids. The original horizontal coils shipped with the subtank were 1.2ohm but the new vertical coils shipped with the tank are 1.5ohm at least that's what I understand.
-
Are you sure you don't have the batteries turned around.
-
With my subtank I used the RBA and some 28G wire and made a 1.8 coil, works really well for MTL hits with the airflow turned down. Only need 12 watts.

I'm sure it's been asked a million times.....

The only flavors I have problems with are the natural flavors, they taste good but plug up coils if you use too much. Last one I tried was FW natural cherry, mixed it at 15% went through 2 KPT coils vaping 1 tank. Now I use it as a additive at 5% or less and it does fine. Maybe they sent me the bottom of the vat with all the pulp. -

I use 60VG 40PG and 15 - 20 % flavor. I use flavor west flavorings and they require a higher % than some other flavorings, so I'm told. Don't know why I'm answering this I smoked for about 50 years so my taste buds are shot. -
My solution is duct taping a ego to the grip on a colt 1911.

I quit using Aspire products a long time ago. The coils are more difficult to rebuild, and don't work as well as the kanger. I still use a Davide that came with a Aspire coil, but I found out the KPT3 coil works in it. I don't have a Nautilus Its quite possible you may be able to use a different coil.
