You didn't say what kind of tank you are using, You will get more vape (smoke) when you use more VG, I use 70-80% VG. The only PG I usually add is the PG in the flavoring, sometimes I add 5% distilled water to thin it.

what has the actually lived up to the hype for you?

What works for one person may not work well for someone else. Depends what you want, just something to vape with or do you want to sub ohm? -
Just to add to what earthling said, The NEBox is a TC mod what is your temperature set at, or are you using it in VW mode. Another thing you should know is its not recommended to use a N200 coil in VW mode.

That's the way I have been doing it. The first time I wicked my RBA I put the cotton through the coil, put the top on and then tried to get the cotton through the holes, what a PITA that was. With my nano I got some of the factory horizontal coils, the coil lines up with the holes so its easy to rewick it, I don't like the long leads but not a problem so far.

I try to stay away from the dark flavors. Got some Café Coffee flavor from FW last month, at 10% mixed in a 10ml bottle,it is so dark I can't see through it, good flavor but very dark.

My ride is a 2000 FXDX more commonly known as a Dyna.

Kanger makes very reliable stuff everything from the T3 to the Subtanks, probably your best bet would be a Subox mini kit, that way your girlfriend won't want it (box mod).

I run 12watts using my Nano with the .5 coil, any higher and it gets a harsh taste to it. The life of the coil depends on the juice and how many watts you use. A lot of people think the more watts the bigger the clouds, that isn't true unless you consider the cloud caused by the burnt cotton.

I have both the Efest 3100mah 20A batteries, and the LG HG2 3000mah 20A, seems like to me the LG lasts longer, but the Efests are good batteries.

I do sometimes get a batch that tastes bad and is unfixable so I dump it in a bottle labeled not so good. Awhile back I tried it and it tasted pretty good, so I dumped it in another bottle and vaped it. Started another not so good batch, every once in awhile I try it. I know I can't duplicate any of it but that's OK.

Button top are protected, and a little longer so they won't fit in some mods. Flat top are not protected. I have a preference for the LG HG2 but others might like other batteries.

I have been doing DIY for about 1 1/2 years now, maybe longer, I know what's in it and if it don't come out the way I planned I got nobody to blame but myself. (you can blame the muffin man) When I do get a batch that doesn't taste right I try to fix it or vape it anyway. You will probably experiment with flavors like I did, and still am, some good some not so good, but that's what makes it interesting.

If the coil hit the deck it may cause a short. The biggest problem it may cause is it may heat the deck too much, and effect the insulator. That might be the reason they sell the insulator separately. A new insulator is only 75 cents at sweet vapes. The only time I burnt the cotton right away is when I had the cotton too tight in the coil.

If you do try Ekowool make sure you get the stuff made in Poland, there is some cheap Chinese stuff out there that is bad stuff.
-
Some people lay a piece of cotton or other stuff on top of the coil when they rebuild KPT coils, which is a lot different than a subtank coil. Don't unbraid the Ekowool, it will do it by itself unless you heat treat it. What I mostly use Ekowool for when used in a subtank is I use it to rebuild the original horizontal coils. I have a couple of ST nano tanks that the RBA does not fit in, so I rebuild the stock coils which is very easy.
-
Get yourself a couple of extra subtank RBAs so when you don't have time to rebuild it you can just put a new one in. They are only about $7 each.
-
I have used Ekowool for about 1 1/2 years now. Strait from the package it unravels pretty easy. Its woven silica with a hollow core or a cotton or silica core. I use the hollow core. I found a way to keep it from unraveling so easy, I put it in a heat treat oven at 1200 degrees for 30 minutes, makes it stay together. If you know someone with a kiln that will work too. I use the 2mm hollow core to recoil KPT coils, and the 3mm in some of my subtank coils. It doesn't wick as fast as cotton, but does better than regular silica wick. The good part about it is if you run out of juice you don't burn your wick. If you chain vape with a subtank it won't wick fast enough.

Need some help finding best price, older products

Kanger has a new setup called the Subvod its the same diameter as the subtank nano, and comes with a shortened 1.9ml nano. Its only 1300mah no VV or VW, but that might be enough for a shift. I have been thinking about getting one, but not sure yet. -
It will last longer if you just can keep sniffing it, and not vape it.
-
The problem I had with the Kanger RBA was that it had a .5 coil that was 2.5 mm inside diameter. I prefer a 3 mm id, it allows a little more room for the cotton. But if you are not into winding your own coils then you are stuck with the smaller coils. I get my RBA supplies from Lightning Vapes, They don't sell tanks they specialize in RBA supplies. They have cotton bacon and anything else related to rebuilding coils.
-
I compared the cotton that came with my Kanger RBA with some Koh Gen Do and I can't see any difference. After 3 to 4 tanks I rinse my tank out with hot water, and that seems to help a lot.

If anyone is worried about nickel in the coil switch to kanthal, or for TC switch to titanium. Simple solution.

Not only do you have to research the laws in your state but also the laws in any state you ship to. Some states regulate ejuice some don't.
-
A lot of people would disagree on that Genius thing. But I try.

I use it all the time, works fine for me. Maybe your filters and other settings aren't right. I use daily view, and no filters.
