  1. Have you tried prying the center pin up a little? a lot of these mods say they have a spring loaded pin, but experience tells me that isn't always the case. some of my mods the spring works sometimes they don't. try using a pin or something like that. be careful not to press the fire button if you use a metal object to pry with.
  2. I have some VG that is over 2 years old, I keep it in the freezer, it will not freeze but it stays good for a long time.
  3. In your case the sonic cleaner probably didn't have much effect but the heat might have. I sometimes use a sonic cleaner to steep juice but I use glass bottles, and only for about 10 minutes at 160F
  4. Looks to me you did everything right, maybe a sonic cleaner has a effect on the flavor, did you use glass bottles or plastic bottles? I have heard that a sonic cleaner can have an effect on plastic.
  5. Ejuice usually has to steep for a couple of days before using it. Your mix looks to be ok, but personally I would not buy supplies to mix juice from e-bay. I get my supplies from heartland or Wizard labs and have had good results from both. Capella has a good reputation for flavor, if you get it from a good vendor. Some vendors may water it down, which will result in muted flavor. Single flavors should work ok.
  6. This website has juice calculators, and lots of recipes for DIY juice makers. http://www.kritikalmass.net/calculators.asp
  7. If the looks is all you are concerned with, just get a silicone wrap for it. You can get them online for $4 cheap cosmetic fix. http://sweet-vapes.com/apvs/kanger/kbox-silicone-case.html The silicone case is also available for the nano.
  8. What you could try is disconnect one of the coils, at 60w with a .2 coil your voltage should be about 3.4 volts and about 17A draw on the battery, if you disconnect one of the coils your resistance would be .4 ohms, you could get more voltage and draw less amps from the battery.
  9. If you are using the .2 coils that came with it you will need a good 20A battery. Samsung, LG, and Sony all make good 20A batteries. Personally I prefer the LG HG2 but other people have different preferences. A high VG juice with 80VG/20PG would also help with the cloud making.
  10. If you have some old coils hanging around you can try the o-rings from them, that's what I use. or maybe you might have some old drip tips you don't use. Some hardware stores carry o-rings
  11. I don't drip, but with a saturated coil you should be able to get at least 3 or 4 good hits before you have to wet the wick again. You will have to get used to it and that takes a little time. Other people on here drip maybe one of them can tell you more than I can about how often you have to wet the wick, a lot of it probably depends on how deep your well is, and how much juice is available to be wicked before you pump it again. The popping is no big deal, my subtanks do it quite often.
  12. Some juices will pop and sizzle more than others, especially if they have water in it In another post you said you have a Kanger dripbox, You might be pumping too much juice and flooding it, that can cause popping too.
  13. I'm not a fan of mech mods myself, and don't drip, but I got to looking at the new Kanger drip box, curiosity is got a hold of me and I'm still thinking about it. The mod is not regulated but has built in safety features. It also does away with the dripping from a bottle, when you need more juice you just squeeze the trigger and more juice is squirted onto the coil. I think it will make dripping and driving much safer.
  14. I personally don't use coils below .5 ohms, so can't give you any advice on what wattage to use on those coils you listed. I do know that the lower the resistance is, the faster a coil will heat up so the longer you keep the button pressed the hotter the coil will get, unless you use TC which will limit the wattage after the initial high wattage surge. You also may have a wicking problem, personally I prefer a 30 PG 70 VG ratio, but that's me, everyone has their own preferences, some coils have the cotton packed so tight that they have a wicking problem with high VG juices. Also like Tam stated airflow is very important, and with low ohm coils you need lots of airflow over the coil to help cool it.
  15. I have done a lot of research in flavorings, and have found that a lot of flavorings that are called oils actually contain little or no oil. Most food flavorings contain a PG base or a water and alcohol base, some have all three. Using a non FDA approved food flavor for vaping is not recommended, preferably the flavoring in ejuice should be approved for vaping if there is such a thing as vaping approved flavor. There are oil based flavors but they are mostly used for aromatic purposes like in candles and stuff like that and should not be used for vaping. Just my opinion
  16. This is a shot in the dark but is the mango oil you are trying to vape a premixed ejuice or is it pure flavoring? If it is pure flavoring you need to mix it with VG or PG before vaping it. Ejuice should not contain more than 20% to 25% flavoring. Also like Comp said if it contains oil don't vape it.
  17. I don't have any experience with a Triton .5 Clapton coil, but have tried the Kanger .5 Clapton coil, there was no vapor produced with less than 25w I had to up the wattage to 35w to get good flavor. Someone here must have tried the triton .5 Clapton coil and should be able to let you know what kind of wattage you need.
  18. The .5 triton coil is a Clapton coil, which usually needs a lot of power, the 1.8 triton coil is Kanthal which uses less power. You will probably get bigger clouds with the .5 coil but you may get better flavor with the 1.8 coil. Its just a matter of what you want. I would also like to point out the 30w has a 2200 mah battery and the 50w has a 4400 mah battery, so the 50w will go a lot longer between charges.
  19. I was not impressed with the Clapton coil in the Subtank mini either. The only reason I mentioned the RBA is because that is what I use, I have to agree with some people on here that prefer the 1.2 ohm horizontal coil because it gives better flavor and plenty of vapor and is not subohm. Also you can usually get the 1.2 horizontal coils cheaper than the vertical coils.
  20. The best thing to use with a triton2 is a regulated box mod, with at least a 50w output. not saying you will need 50w just saying the ego twist battery won't last very long, and it won't fire the subohm coils. There are many good box mods on the market that will work just fine for you, I'm sure the people on VT will be happy to suggest some, and to help you spend your money.
  21. I currently use 6 subtank minis and 3 subtank nanos, also I use a KPT2, all with different flavors in them. The subtank mini is a good choice for a newbie because of its versatility and the wide range of coils available. My personal choice for a Subtank mini coil is the RBA or the 1.2 ohm horizontal coil. I know lots of newbies that started with a Subtank Mini kit and were completely happy with them.
  22. You would probably get a muted flavor since Fireball is not a concentrated flavor, unless you added a lot. Flavor West sells a concentrated Fireball flavoring, the recommended amount for concentrated flavors is 15% - 20% You would probably have to add at least 40% of unconcentrated Fireball to get any flavor at all. Other flavor makers may also sell Fireball flavoring but not sure.
  23. Most sites sell them for about $10.00, IMR has them for $8.00 each. Don't know what your local B&M sells them for, but you won't be paying shipping if you get them from a local B&M.
  24. They legit. The first 4 batteries I got had the white sticker on them, the second which I got last month have a silver sticker on them. but still the same battery. Sweetvapes and Vape NW both have good pics of the LG HG2 battery. Very good battery IMO.
  25. It says LG with the first 2 letters, they look exactly like the LG hg2 batteries that I have, and I have 8 of them all bought from a reputable dealer (IMR batteries.com)
