  1. How do these new regulations apply to DIY online sales? The way I understand it the new Regulations only apply to ready to vape juice, or did I miss something.
  2. So if I read this right all that will be available is cigalikes. Because if a tank has a replaceable coil it could be considered rebuildable. Time to stock up on mods, tanks, and RBA coils.
  3. I was a children once, a long time ago. First thing I wanted to do was something I wasn't supposed to do, and hope I didn't get caught.
  4. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  5. The only thing I could suggest is the Kanger dripbox, it has adjustable airflow, but don't know if it can be used on a different mod or not.
  6. Because they added to it with more regs, I don't mind signing a petition, but I don't think it is going to do any good. Any new regulations that these different federal agencies come up with are OKed by the white house before being put in place, for all we know the white house might have recommended some of them. I think we are stuck with the new regulations, unless Congress does something or a new president changes them, I'm not holding my breath in either case. Have you seen some of the petitions they have? Most are ridiculous. There was one that wanted the US to build a battle star. others wanted the white house to protect doctors in China. Really some off the wall stuff. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/secure-resources-and-funding-and-begin-construction-death-star-2016/
  7. The last petition was ignored. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/urge-fda-re-work-deeming-regs-so-life-saving-vapor-products-can-remain-market
  8. I have to agree with BirdDog, petitions are not legally binding, and most are ignored. One look at where its going tells me its going to be ignored. Congress is a better way, they are up for reelection.
  9. Kanger TC is the same way, no watt adjustment in TC. The istick 40w probably has an initial surge of 40w, but who knows for sure. The kanger manual says the initial surge is determined by the coil resistance, which could mean a lot of things, maybe the chip figures out what the optimal surge for that resistance should be or maybe its the max watts for the mod with that coil. one of the mods is a 120w I hope the surge isn't 120w but it might be.
  10. I personally have seen magnesium welded at a temp that was above its flash point, but it was welded with a inert gas shied, (no oxygen) A welder could probably explain it better than me. most materials need oxygen to burn, phosphorus being one of the exceptions. without going to the library and doing serious research, I have to rely on what I read on the internet, which in many cases is wrong, and even contradicts itself. Getting back to the original question, there are probably people that use Titanium coils in power mode, does that make it safe, my answer would be no. you could use solder to make a coil and it would probably work at lower temps until you got lead poisoning. I think I could safely say that people that are harmed by vaping are doing something that they are not supposed to do. Just my opinion.
  11. The up and down buttons on the 75w kanger can be locked if you press all 3 buttons at once, not an easy task. that is why I don't do it. I also have the 120w kanger TC, its like having the 75w with a extra battery, I treat it like a mod with a internal battery, when I got it I put 2 new LG HG2 batteries in it and have never changed them. every 4 - 5 days I plug it in to charge it. (I don't use it that much) I do pull the battery cover off when I charge it.

    TC Help

The watts depends on the coil resistance, as for the temp that would depend on you, and the juice you use, a high PG needs less heat and a high VG needs more heat, my guess would be to start at 370f and go up or down depending on your taste. Without knowing the ohms of the coil your watts I would have to guess at, but my guess would be between 30 - 40 watts.
  13. From what I have read, when titanium gets to a certain temp it can ignite, much like magnesium can. some say the ignition temp is 600 some say 700, which is safe in TC mode, but not in power mode if you run out of juice. Above 700f titanium nitrate will start to form on titanium, which is not good for you. This data I got from the internet, I cannot guarantee its accuracy.
  14. They should just take it back and see for themselves, personally I run at 360f -390f with my 75w TC, and the 120w TC, but I use a .5 ss316L coil not Ni200. So earthling what do you think of the 75w TC from Kanger? I got noting to compare it to except another Kanger.
  15. Ti and Ni are meant for TC mode only. The exact reasons I'm not sure of but if you do a search you can probably find out. Or maybe someone here knows the reason. I know it has something to do with giving off some kind of toxin when it gets too hot.
  16. I don't have a 70w because I prefer replaceable batteries, I use the Kanger 75w mostly. I buy from VapeNW and from Sweetvapes, mostly from VapeNW. After recommending this mod I looked at a few reviews, and found mixed reviews on it. Sweetvapes says it will do SS in TC but other sites say it won't, don't know who to believe. Most reviews say it is similar to the istick 50w, so I figured you might like it.
  17. Could be the temp is set too low, I can't get any vape below about 300f. But then again I use Kanger TC and it probably is different for Eleaf products. On my TC mods the initial watts can't be set, but on yours it probably can be. You should probably wait for someone that knows more about Eleaf TC mods, than me. The ohm change is something I can't explain. I didn't want to say anything earlier because you had already ordered the mod you have, don't know what your opinion of Kanger is but if you have to send it back, see if they can replace it with the Kanger 70w TC mod, it has settings for NI, Ti, and SS. also has a built in 4000mAh battery, it also has the controls where the istick 50w has them. The only downside is it costs $1 more.
  18. What I can see happening is the new regulations might cause a run on vape products, which may cause a shortage, and prices to rise. Might not happen though, have to wait and see.
  19. Plain brown paper bag from the bootlegger, There will be a lot of that. So I won't be able to sell to friends, but I could give it away to people that contribute to my favorite charity. ME
  20. Does that mean I need to get tax stamps for my DIY juice, Its been cold lately, but I don't think hell froze over yet. I don't think most people know it but Government makes more money from gas than the oil companies.
  21. That is why there is no sales tax in Oregon, any time the state wants to impose a Tax or raise an existing tax it has to be in the form of a ballot measure, and that has to be voted on by the people. One of the few things good about the Oregon government. A lot of federal agencies get away with it because they call it a fine or a penalty. I haven't read the entire FDA regulations, but I did see the words fine and penalty a few times, but nothing about taxes yet. That will probably come when the ATF gets involved.
  22. And I thought the Constitution gave the sole authority to Congress to levy taxes, and only to Congress.
  23. I find this to be interesting, I think it means 0 nic juice has to be labeled contains tobacco even though it doesn't have any tobacco in it. Nicotine Warning Statement The product packages and advertisements of all newly-regulated covered tobacco products must bear the following warning statement: “WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.” If the tobacco product manufacturer submits a self-certification statement to FDA that the newly-regulated tobacco product does not contain nicotine (and that the manufacturer has data to support this assertion), then an alternate statement must be used on product packages and advertisements: “This product is made from tobacco.” You can find more information about nicotine warning statements in Deeming Tobacco Products To Be Subject to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
  24. The FDA falls under the executive branch of government, so the regulations will be determined by whomever the President nominates to head it. Congress can override any regulation the FDA puts in place, but for some reason I don't see that happening. I have a pretty good unopened hardware supply right now, and see no reason to expand it at this time. I do intend to order more Nic base though. I guess I'm saying I'm going to wait and see what happens. They may decide to limit the watt output of mods or maybe the voltage, if they do that I will order a couple of 200w mods. I may also stock up on flavors, they should keep in the freezer for a long time.
  25. That depends on the nic level, and flavor added. I currently use 4mg, and would still have to add PG to get my 30PG/70VG ratio. Even at 10mg if I use 20% flavor, I could still get my 30/70 mix.
