  1. Another reason I prefer a 100mg base is for ease of measuring, when mixing a 30ml batch of 4mg using a 100mg base you add 1.2ml base, if you use pure nicotine you would have to measure .12ml, which can be done with the right equipment but not something I want to do. Besides pure nicotine is hard to come by, but you can get it.
  2. I always tape the cap to the bottle with vinyl tape before putting it upright in the freezer.
  3. How dangerous nicotine is depends on who you listen to, some say it a drop will kill you others say it takes a lot to kill a adult. I had something happen last summer that shouldn't have but did, I was sitting outside having a beer, and vaping, went to refill my tank and dropped the half full 30ml bottle on the concrete, before I could get back with some paper towels and a dustpan, the dog had lapped most of it up, he's only 20 lbs. so I figured it might be over for him, not the case at all. He didn't even throw up or anything, didn't seem to affect him at all, kept a eye on him for awhile, but no ill affects.
  4. All the flavor maker has to do is declare on their webpage is that their flavors are not intended or recommended for use in ejuice, everyone will know different, but at least their legal responsibility will be met. If Compenstine wants to he may be able to write a book on how to mix ejuice, and will make a lot of $ off the sales. When one door closes another one may open.
  5. Some of our supplies will not be affected, like cotton, I currently have about 120 pads, a supply that will last quite a while since 1 pad can last a couple of weeks, but most beauty shops sell them they will not be hard to get. Wire will also be available from beading suppliers, and other sources, maybe not Kanthal but SS wire is used in jewelry and other industries. 18650 batteries will still be used in flashlights and other devices, so they will not be hard to get. As far as tanks go I use Subtank minis, and Nanos, I've got a pretty good supply of them, and have 15 extra glass tubes on the way. Most people on VT have enough hardware to last quite awhile, but its the new vapers that will be affected the most. If anyone had a desire to do DIY, now would be a good time to start, and to stock up on Nic base, because the rest of the ingredients will still be available after the regs are fully implemented. Just my thoughts and opinion. 1 liter of 100mg base will make about 830 30ml bottles of 4mg juice, that's a lot of juice.
  6. Even if the price of juice goes up to $100 per 15ml bottle it won't mean anything, because after 2 years you won't be able to buy a refillable tank to put the juice in. They will probably declare that being able to change the coil makes them rebuildable.
  7. That is one reason I prefer the mods that use replaceable batteries, I don't know how long a built in battery lasts, it might be a year it might be 5 years, but when it quits holding a charge the mod has to be replaced. The mods that use replaceable batteries that will not hold a charge anymore, only the battery needs to be replaced not the mod. With my single battery mods I remove the battery to recharge it, but my dual battery mod I just leave them in and recharge them in the mod. That way I don't have to keep extra married sets. Just the way I do it, and I know other people do it differently.
  8. This is the guy responsible for the new FDA regulations, read and see the connection between him and the Pharmaceutical industry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Califf
  9. What concerns me is the fact that up until now the Vape industry has been very competitive which has kept the price for juice and hardware reasonable. But in 2 years if the FDA has its way there will be very little competition, and the expense to vape may be more than smoking, which will influence people to keep smoking. Just my opinion, and it don't mean much.
  10. The only thing that changes after 90 days is the labeling, otherwise you got 2 years to figure out if you are going to quit vaping or not. Personally I believe if you are going to continue to vape after 2 years you should learn to mix your own juice. After 2 years the companies that invest the money to legally sell ejuice will have to raise the price to recover their cost. I have been mixing my own juice for 2 years now so I'm going to be OK.
  11. Something tells me they aren't done with the rule changing yet, I believe our only hope is Congress or the courts, and I don't see congress acting on it until after the election, and most of the time these things take years in the courts. We have to have some patience, and wait to see what happens.
  12. That rule about no more replaceable batteries is probably aimed at the people that misuse mech mods and blow themselves up, just a guess by me.
  13. The Kanger is also available in a 200w version, but still only 2 batteries, same size but more watts. Basically what it comes down to is do you want to have 2 batteries or 3. Don't know what the price difference is, but that might be considered too.
  14. As I see it the new Regulations only apply to sales, and not possession, we can have pretty much any vape gear, and juice that we want, we just can't buy or sell it. Did anyone notice if the herbal atomizers were also included in the regulations? or are they already illegal since they deliver something that is still illegal under federal law.
  15. I have a Kanger 120w TC with 2 LG HG2 batteries in it, I don't swap the batteries, but they will last me 4 - 5 days, because I use my other mods more. If I were to use it exclusively I'm sure it would last all day.
  16. I will have to check and see what the laws are in Canada, I travel to the Seattle area a couple of times a year, and Vancouver BC isn't that far from there. I have crossed the border many times in the past, it is more difficult to cross from the US into Canada than it is to return IMO. Are they going to add vape sniffing dogs at the checkpoints?
  17. It will take awhile I agree. Most of the vape hardware comes from China, Customs can stop a lot of that, but not all of it. And a lot can happen in 2 years, Its not up to local law enforcement to enforce Federal law, so much of it won't be enforced. Local cops probably will put it on the bottom of their priority list, and the feds don't have the manpower to search out every mom and pop operation, they have better things to do too I hope. I think the new FDA rules might not be enforced except at the border, and we all know how well the border is protected. To make things short I don't think much will change at all, besides Congress will have to fund the new vape police, and I don't see that happening any time soon. I looked it up, The FDA currently has 180 agents for enforcing FDA regulations.

  19. They are there but out of stock. Yes the round ones will work, last week I got 2 boxes from Sweet vapes before they ran out, should have ordered more. I have 8 boxes now but plan to buy more when I see someone has them. http://vapenw.com/by-brand/kanger/subtank-occ-organic-cotton-coil-by-kangertech-kanger
  20. Right now besides the mods and tanks I'm using I have 2 Kanger 75w TC mods, 4 Subtank Minis, and 2 Subtank Nanos, all still unopened in the box. And a Subvod still unopened, I think I have enough for now. Going out of state next week but when I come back I will order 1 maybe 2 liters of 100mg Nic base.
  21. You still have 2 years to stock up, I think. I'm not going to buy any coils that I can't rebuild, wire, and cotton will always be available.
  22. Most of the new ones are round, you can still find the horizontal coils sometimes, but not very often, I like the old 1.2 horizontal coils, because they seem to taste better, and can be easily rebuilt. Sweetvapes had them for a few days but out of stock now, VapeNW is also out of stock, except for the Ni200. I order them when I can find them. Keep your eyes open for them they are getting harder to find.
  23. Aromatic therapy, is a option. There are websites that sell supplies to make your own nicotine laced gum.
  24. So if you labeled your juice as a scented skin conditioner, that would be OK? Most flavor makers could reclassify their flavors for cooking, with a recommendation that they not be used for ejuice, but the nic base would be different.
